Abstract

A healthy consumable fruit products demands is highly increase over time. This is mainly due to the need of high-quality food increase as the economic is better and also because of healthy reason. Fresh fruits drink is always requested by costumer, however this is not always available in the market due to some reasons. Thus, processed fruit juice might be a substitution for fresh product. However, during food process, the fruit juice quality might decrease as the juice prone to the pollutant during the process and keeping time. So, it is needed to provide a packing process that able to reduce or even eliminate pollutant during the processing and storing. One of the most dangerous pollutants is pathogenic microorganism such as Escherichia coli. If consumed, Escherichia coli can cause diarrhea which could lead to severe stomach ache. In this paper, discussed food juice treatment by using pulse electric field generated by tesla transformer to disinfect the fruit juice thus eliminate the microorganism. A prototype of the food juice treatment system is built by using a Tesla transformer to produce high voltage thus generate pulse electric field which then will be used to eliminate microorganism. Abstract

Salah satu sumber energi terbarukan yang banyak tersedia di Indonesia adalah energi matahari. Energi matahari dapat dikonversikan menjadi energi listrik melalui konversi langsung sel-surya. Metode konversi energi matahari menjadi energi listrik disebut dengan sistem pembangkit listrik tenaga surya (matahari). Energi yang dihasilkan pembangkit listrik tenaga surya dapat dipergunakan untuk menggerakkan pompa air. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi dan implementasi pemasang­an pompa air irigasi bagi masyarakat Desa Karang Rejo Kecamatan Negeri Katon Kabupaten Pesawaran Provinsi Lampung. Pemilihan didasarkan atas terjadinya kekeringan yang mengakibatkan gagal panen padi masyarakat Desa Karang Rejo pada tahun 2019 yang diakibatkan curah hujan yang sangat rendah. Sistem Pompa air tenaga surya yang dikembangkan menggunakan panel sel surya berkapasitas 200 WP. Baterai dengan kapasitas total 90 AH dipergunakan untuk menyimpan energi listrik yang dihasilkan dan dipergunakan untuk menyuplai daya ke pompa air DC berdaya 60 Watt. Hasil pengujian memperlihatkan pompa mampu menyuplai air sebesar 29 liter per menit dengan head 4 meter.

Abstract

This study analyzed an atmospheric corrosion sensor using strain measurements (ACSSM) with an active dummy method for corrosion product experiments. An initial compensation thermal strain experiment was performed with elapsed time. Further analyses used dry-wet environments with salt water spray to investigate the thickness reduction performance of the corrosion product on low-carbon steel samples. The ACSSM with an active dummy method accurately measured signals induced by the specimen thickness reduction, despite the noise in the signal. Moreover, the effects of corrosion products on the signal were discussed.

Abstract

This paper describes an amplifier circuit fabricated by the active-dummy method for atmospheric corrosion monitoring based on strain measurement. The circuit was used to determine the relationship between the voltage and strain. Experiments involving the thickness reduction of low-carbon steel test pieces induced by galvanostatic electrolysis were carried out with the amplifier circuit. The circuit was capable of accurately measuring signals induced by the thickness reduction of the test piece. Moreover, the circuit was assessed for the effects of environmental temperature drift, and was found to exhibit a high tolerance. The proposed amplifier circuit would be suitable for atmospheric corrosion monitoring in many types of infrastructure. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
