Many short-term studies with dietary nitrate supplementation in humans and animal models reported positive effects on the cardiovascular system, exercise efficiency, and immune function. However, there has been long-standing concern related to cancer and adverse hormonal effects. We studied the long-term effects of different potassium nitrate (KNO3) concentrations on laboratory mice longevity and structural changes in their organs. Four groups of male mice were treated with 0 mg (0%), 45 mg (1%), 90 mg (2%), and 140 mg (3%) KNO3 in the drinking water. The groups were monitored for agility and health status daily. The lifespan of mice and organ pathological changes were analyzed. We found no detrimental effects of life-long supplementation of KNO3 on the survival of mice in treatment groups. Nitrate supplementation was associated with a lower level of pathological changes (p = 0.002). We conclude that KNO3 supplementation had no carcinogenic effect on mice and possibly prevented the organs from aging.

Purpose While exercise was found to affect cognitive performance in adolescents, the underlying mechanisms need to be considered. This study compared the effect of a 20 min game-based exercise with different intensities on hormonal responses and potential links to cognitive performance. Methods 37 adolescents (24 girls and 13 boys; 15–16 years of age) were randomly assigned into light intensity (LIG; 58.64% HRmax), vigorous intensity (VIG; 89.51% HRmax), and control group (CON). The concentration of salivary Testosterone and Cortisol was measured before, immediately after, 20 min and 60 min after the intervention. Results Repeated-measure ANOVA revealed that neither light nor vigorous game-based exercise acutely affects Testosterone, while Cortisol was higher in the VIG, 20 min after the intervention compared to the LIG and CON. Furthermore, changes in Testosterone were negatively associated with changes in cognitive performance after the acute vigorous intensity exercise (r = −0.63, p = .039) and control condition (r = −0.78, p = .003), but positively associated with post-intervention cognitive performance after the acute light intensity exercise (r = 0.67, p = .012). Conclusion The intensity of game-based exercise affected Cortisol concentration in adolescents, while Testosterone concentration did not change after the intervention. On the other hand, exercise intensity plays an important role in the association between Testosterone concentration and cognitive performance.

This paper proposes to estimate the complexity of a multivariate time series by the spatio‑temporal entropy based on multivariate singular spectrum analysis (M-SSA). In order to account for both within- and cross-component dependencies in multiple data channels the high dimensional block Toeplitz covariance matrix is decomposed as a Kronecker product of a spatial and a temporal covariance matrix and the multivariate spatio‑temporal entropy is defined in terms of modulus and angle of the complex quantity constructed from the spatial and temporal components of the multivariate entropy. The benefits of the proposed approach are illustrated by simulations on complexity analysis of multivariate deterministic and stochastic processes.

Background and Study Aim: Time-motion analysis can provide specific information for the judo physical and technical performance in each group and weight categories. The aim of this study was to verify the hypothesized that Lithuanian female judo athletes of light-weight categories (under 48 kg and under 52 kg) perform faster time-motion actions during a match compared to heavier categories. Material and Methods: Analyses of literature resources, competition match protocols and pedagogic surveillance methods were applied in this study. The statistic computation was performed using SPSS 18.0 for Windows. Data was collected from 58 high rank female adults fights at the Lithuanian Judo Championship 2016. Results: It was identified that only the indicators of total time of technique (p0.05). The hypothesis that indicators of light-weight matches time-motion data significantly varies from heavy weight categories was proved only partially. Conclusions: Lithuanian women judo athletes of lighter weight feature with faster motions while competing in verical posture (standing position), without a grip and with a grip. The heavier athletes are slower and, except the tasks in ne waza, all motions are performed longer. In case of competition high level women judo athletes, their indicators of time-motion data are adequate to results of international elite athletes.

The influence of the factor of vertical oscillation of academic boats on rowing effectiveness parameters de-fined as the change in the area of wetted surface of the boat caused due to the mean its draught increment is analysed in the paper. The indicators of rowing effectiveness condi-tioned by the factor of free oscillation of the boat are calcu-lated for academic boats of different classes; the depend-ences of the effectiveness indicators on some of the differ-ent hull parameters of boats and on intensity of the rowers vertical effect on to the seat were determined; practical recommendations for the effectiveness increase are pre-sented., Nagrinėjama akademinių valčių vertikaliojo su-pimo įtaka irklavimo efektyvumo rodikliams, kurie apibrė-žiami kaip valties drėkinamo paviršiaus ploto pokytis dėl vidutinio valties grimzlės prieaugio. Apskaičiuoti įvairių klasių akademinių valčių irklavimo efektyvumo rodikliai, sąlygojami valties komplekso laisvo vertikaliojo supimo, nustatyta šių rodiklių priklausomybė nuo kai kurių valties korpuso parametrų ir irkluotojų vertikalaus poveikio sėdy-nėlei intensyvumo, pateikta praktinių rekomendacijų, kaip padidinti irklavimo efektyvumą.

In this paper the blind source separation (BSS) algorithm based on the known nonorthogonal approximate joint diagonalization of several time-delayed covariance matrices and the time-varying lag calculation procedure based on the proposed two stage phase alloca-tion method is investigated by applying it to arrhythmic ECG signals with time-varying period mixed with white Gaussian noise or with chaotic Hénon map noise (at SNR=15 dB). Simulation results show that algorithm is able to extract arrhythmic ECG signals with time-varying period from noise by performing nonorthogonal approximate joint diagonalization of only two covariance matrices – one cova-riance matrix at zero lag and another – at a lag corresponding to the the variable period, which is calculated from phase signature from cycle-to-cycle of the ECG signal., Tiriamas aklo šaltinių atskyrimo algoritmas aritminiams elektrokardiosignalams išskirti, gautas derinant žinomą bendros apytikslės kovariacinių matricų neortogonalios diagonalizacijos metodą ir kintamo postūmio laiko atžvilgiu metodą kovariacinėms matricoms apskaičiuoti, pagrįstą siūlomu dviejų pakopų signalo periodo fazės nustatymo būdu. Atlikti tyrimai su realiais aritminiais EKG signalais, sumaišytais su baltuoju Gauso triukšmu arba chaotiniu Henono atvaizdo signalu, rodo, kad algoritmas įgalina gerai išskirti EKG signalą, kai signalo ir triukšmo santykis 15 dB, panaudojant tik dvi kovariacines matricas – esant nuliniam postūmiui ir kintamam postūmiui per vieną periodą (R-R intervalą), nustatomam pagal R-R intervalo fazę.

The extraction of weak pseudoperiodic (deterministic) signals buried in a additive Gaussian noisy background is investigated by ap-plying the nonlinear signal detection algorithm, based on phase-space embedding technique, principal component analysis and power spectral analysis. By analyzing Rossler chaotic signals, it is demonstrated that the detection algorithm based on the singular value de-composition of the time-delayed covariance matrix of the reconstructed high-dimensional phase space matrix is able to detect weak pseudoperiodic signals completely hidden beneath the additive Gaussian noise floor at SNR up to –24 dB.. The straightforward blind source separation (BSS) algorithm based on nonlinear phase-space reconstruction and nonorthogonal joint approximate diagonalization (JAD) of several time-delayed covariance matrices, estimated with one data matrix of first embedding dimension and second data matrix of every another embedding dimension, is investigated by applying it to mixed pseudoperiodic chaotic Rossler signals and Mackey-Glass signals. Simulation results show that this algorithm gives a good performance in the separation of mixed pseudoperiodic chaotic or similar to pseudoperiodic signals when each source has non-zero autocorrelation function for a non-zero time lag, i. e. when analysis based on the second-order statistics (SOS) is applicable. Algorithm leads to better performance than many widely known BSS algorithms including the very efficient iterative FastICA algorithm. The extraction of weak pseudoperiodic chaotic signal frequencies from white Gaussian and colored additiwe noise is investigated by applying the nonlinear signal detection algorithms, based on phase-space embedding technique, principal component analysis and power spectral analysis. By analyzing Rossler chaotic time series, it is demonstrated, that the detection algorithm based on standard eigenvalue decomposition performing to the averaged covariance matrix of the reconstructed phase space matrix and the detection algorithm based on eigenvalue decomposition performing to the time-delayed covariance matrix are able to detecting of weak pseudoperiodic chaotic (or regular sinusoidal) signals hidden beneath the additive Gaussian or colored noise floor at SNR up to –20 dB. It is concluded, that these algorithms are preferable to the SPCA algorithm by detecting weak pseudoperiodic chaotic or sinusoidal signals buried in a additive Gaussian noisy background., Tiriamas silpnų pseudoperiodinių chaotinių signalų dažnių išskyrimas iš adityvinio baltojo Gauso triukšmo arba spalvotojo triukšmo, signalų detekcijai naudojant algoritmus fazinės erdvės rekonstrukcijos, esminių komponenčių analizės bei spektrinės analizės pagrindu. Atlikus tyrimus su chaotiniu Rosslerio signalu, parodoma, kad algoritmas rekonstruotos fazinės erdvės duomenų suvidurkintos kovariacinės matricos dekompozicijos tikriniais vektoriais pagrindu ir algoritmas suvėlintos kovariacinės matricos dekompozicijos pagrindu įgalina išskirti pagrindinius Rosslerio signalo dažnius iš baltojo Gauso triukšmo ir spalvotojo triukšmo, kai signalo ir triukšmo santykis didesnis kaip –20 dB. Daroma išvada, kad šie algoritmai yra pranašesni už SPCA algoritmą išskiriant silpnus pseudoperiodinius chaotinius signalus iš Gauso triukšmo.

Straipsnyje analizuojama regionų konkurencingumą lemiančių veiksnių ir jų daromos įtakos bendram konkurencingumui problematika. Dėl didelės regiono ir konkurencingumo sampratų interpretacijų galimybės, patikslinti jų apibrėžimai. Siekiant nustatyti regiono konkurencingumą lemiančių veiksnių svarbą bendram konkurencingumui, išskirti regionų konkurencingumą lemiantys veiksniai, leidžiantys regionui labiausiai sukurti kompleksinį konkurencinį pranašumą, o ne pozityvias prielaidas konkurencingumui siekti. Ekspertinio vertinimo metu apskaičiuoti Lietuvos apskričių konkurencingumą lemiančių veiksnių svorio koeficientai, remiantis kuriais nustatyta jų įtaką bendram konkurencingumui ir suformuoti konkurencingumo didinimo strateginiai siūlymai kiekvienai apskričiai. The article analyzes the problems of the factors, determining competitive abilities of regions and their influence on the overall competitive ability. Due to the wide possibilities of interpretation of the concepts of the region and competitive abilities, their definitions were verified. In order to establish the importance of the factors, determining the competitive abilities of a region on the overall competitive ability, the factors, determining the competitive abilities of regions and allowing for developing of a complex competitive advantage for a region, but not positive preconditions for reaching for competitive abilities, were distinguished. During the expert evaluation the weight rates of the factors, determining the competitive abilities of the Lithuanian districts were calculated, their influence on the overall competitive ability was established and the strategic suggestions regarding the strengthening of competitive abilities were formulated for each district.

Paauglystės lytinio brendimo laikotarpis yra palankus lavinti jėgą. Darbo tikslas – nustatyti 15-16 metų didelio meistriškumo ledo ritulininkų jėgos pokytį po dviejų savaičių trukmės akcentuotai lavintos jėgos programos. Tirti didelio meistriškumo 15-16 metų ledo ritulininkai (n = 18), kurių treniravimosi stažas 9 metai. Pasibaigus 2006 metų oficialių varžybų laikotarpiui ir po vienos savaitės atsigavimo mikrociklo, dvi savaites lavinta kojų, rankų, liemens, plaštakos raumenų jėga. Jėga buvo lavinta pirmadieniais, trečiadieniais ir penktadieniais, o antradienio, ketvirtadienio ir šeštadienio pratybos buvo skirtos technikos veiksmams tobulinti. Vienų pratybų trukmė 90 minučių. Per dvi savaites ledo ritulininkai iš viso treniravosi 12 dienų, 12 pratybų, 24 valandas. Tiriamųjų raumenų jėga buvo nustatyta prieš eksperimentą ir po jo. Ledo ritulininkai jėgą lavino atlikdami tuos pačius 6 pratimus. Per pirmas jėgos lavinimo pratybas tiriamieji galimai greičiausiai kėlė 70 proc. didžiausiojo svorio ir kartojo 4-6 kartus. Galėdami svorį iškelti daugiau nei 6 kartus, tiriamieji jį didino 5-10 proc., t. y. tiek, kad galėtų vėl iškelti 4-6 kartus. Po kiekvieno pratimo sportininkai 2 minutes ilsėjosi pasyviai, o po serijos – 6 minutes ilsėjosi aktyviai atlikdami nedidelio intensyvumo aerobinio pobūdžio (ėjimo, lėto bėgimo, atsipalaidavimo) pratimus. Nustatyta, kad jėgos pokytis statistiškai reikšmingai (p = 0,0000001) skyrėsi priklausomai nuo raumenų grupės. Labiausiai padidėjo rankų bicepso (34,3 ± 10,4 proc.) ir keturgalvio šlaunies (25,4 ± 14,7 proc.), beveik vienodai kojų (21,9 ± 11 proc.), nugaros (21,2 ± 11,7 proc.) ir dešinės plaštakos (20,4 ± 10,1 proc.) raumenų jėga. Mažiausiai padidėjo dvigalvio raumens (12,7 ± 7,3 proc.) ir kairės plaštakos raumens (16,2 ± 6,9 proc.) jėga. Nepriklausomai nuo taikytos vienodos raumenų lavinimo programos, skirtingai didėjusi skirtingų raumenų grupių jėga keitė ir raumenų grupių jėgos tarpusavio priklausomybę. Būtini tolesni atskirų kojų ir nugaros raumenų grupių tarpusavio jėgos sąveikos su kitais judamaisiais gebėjimais ir su raumenų grupių traumomis tyrimai leistų nustatyti, kokia turėtų būti optimali raumenų grupių jėgos priklausomybė, ir numatyti, kuriuo jaunųjų ledo ritulininkų rengimo laikotarpiu kurioms raumenų grupėms reikėtų skirti daugiau dėmesio. Nustatyta gana didelė priklausomybė tarp raumenų grupių jėgos rodiklių patvirtina visapusišką jaunių sportininkų raumenų jėgos lavinimo būtinybę. Tam tikslui palanki būtų eksperimento metu taikyta programa. Puberty period is suitable time to train strength abilities. The aim was to assess strength changing of high-performance ice-hockey players aged 15-16 years after two weeks training programme in post-competition period. During the researched period, strength training programme consisting of 6 exercises had been applied on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Technical training had been applied on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The duration of training sessions was 90 minutes. All together players had 6 training units for strength and 6 for technical. Strength abilities of legs, arms, shoulders, and trunk were tested pre and post experiment. Subjects used 70 % resistance of maximal efforts and made 4-6 repetitions. Weights of 5-10 % were added when subjects could execute more than 6 repetitions. Passive rest periods between repetitions were 2 minutes and between sets 6 minutes of active rest. First week subjects had 2 sets and second week 3 sets. It was found out the significant strength dynamic changing depended on muscle groups. Essential increase had been found in arms (34,3 ± 10,4 %) and legs strength (25,4 ± 14,7 %). Although the athletes used the same time of repetitions but strength of muscle groups increased differently, and this caused different interaction between muscles. Applied training programme could be implemented in ice-hockey athletes training process. Significant interaction between muscles demonstrates necessity of universal training of youth muscle strength. Further research is needed in order to find out what training programme could be most relevant for high-performance 15-16 years old ice-hockey players during the training season.

A new straighforward algorithm is proposed to detect deterministic structure from a pseudoperiodic time series without embedding. The correlation coefficient as a measure of the distance between certain cycles is used and averaged diverging slope between clossest cycles, as an indicator of chaos, is calculated according well known Rosenstein method for calculating largest Lyapunov exponents. We demonstrate that this method can reliably identify chaos in the presence of noise of different sources at a signal-noise ratio up to 10 dB for both artificial data and experimental time series., Pateikiamas naujas paprastas deterministinio chaoso detekcijos pseudoperiodinėse laiko eilutėse algoritmas be fazinės erdvės rekonstrukcijos. Naudojant koreliacijos koeficientą kaip distancijos tarp tam tikrų laiko eilutės ciklų matą, skaičiuojama suvidurkinta divergencijos tarp artimiausių ciklų (su mažiausia distancija) priklausomybės nuo laiko kreivė, kurios nuožulnumas yra deterministinio chaoso indikatorius. Suvidurkintai divergencijai tarp artimiausių ciklų skaičiuoti panaudotas Rozenšteino metodas didžiausiajai Liapuno vo eksponentei skaičiuoti. Straipsnyje parodoma, kad algoritmas gali patikimai aptikti chaotinę sumodeliuotų ir eksperimentinių pseudoperiodinių laiko eilučių prigimtį veikiant įvairiems triukšmams, kai signalo ir triukšmo santykis didesnis kaip 10 dB.

Tarptautiniai testai ir instrumentai plačiai naudojami mokslo tiriamiesiems darbams, kai organizacijos ar atskiri mokslininkai pasirenka ir pritaiko anketas, sukurtas kitose šalyse ir kultūrose. Slaugos rezultatų klasifikacija yra išsami, standartizuota paciento slaugos rezultatų klasifikacija, skirta slaugos intervencijų poveikiui įvertinti. Tyrimo tikslas. Pateikti lietuviškai parengtą Slaugos rezultatų klasifikacijos anketą ir psichometrinių instrumento savybių įvertinimą. Tyrimo medžiaga ir metodai. Slaugos rezultatų klasifikacijos lietuviška anketa parengta atlikus tradicines vertimo ir pritaikymo lietuvių kalbai bei kultūrai metodologines procedūras. Tyrimo instrumentas išbandytas palaikomojo gydymo ir slaugos ligoninių slaugytojų imtyje (n=70). Dalyvių charakteristikai apibūdinti taikyta aprašomoji statistika. Naujai parengto instrumento turinio kokybė bei praktinis tinkamumas patvirtintas psichometrinių savybių, t. y. patikimumo ir pagrįstumo, matavimais. Psichometrinių instrumento savybių analizė atlikta naudojant statistinį paketą „SPSS 13.0“. Rezultatai. Metodologiškai pagrįstas Slaugos rezultatų klasifikacijos sutrumpintos anketos (244 teiginiai iš 330 originalios versijos) vertimas iš anglų kalbos į lietuvių kalbą užtikrino anketos turinio pagrįstumą bei priimtinumą. Tyrimo instrumentas pasižymi pakankamu vidiniu nuoseklumu (18 klasių iš 28 patikimos daugiau kaip 80 proc., šešiose klasėse Kronbacho alfa koeficientas yra tarp 0,70 ir 0,80, keturių klasių vidinis nuoseklumas yra nepakankamas – a, Cross-cultural tests and research instruments are broadly used to adapt questionnaires developed in different countries and cultures. The Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC) – a comprehensive, standardized classification of patient outcomes – can be used to evaluate the results of nursing interventions. Objective. To develop and test psychometrically the Lithuanian version of the Nursing Outcomes Classification Use Survey. Material and methods. A Lithuanian version of the Nursing Outcomes Classification Use Survey was developed following traditional methodological procedures of research instrument translation and adaptation. The newly developed instrument was tested with a sample of 70 staff nurses from nursing and supportive care hospitals. The content and practical feasibility of the Lithuanian version of NOC was measured for its reliability and validity. Psychometric analysis was conducted with the statistical package SPSS 13.0 for Windows. Results revealed a successful translation of NOC from English to Lithuanian with validity and acceptability of a shortened Lithuanian version (244 items instead of the original 330 items). Satisfactory internal consistency (Cronbach alpha >0.80 in 18 classes and in 6 classes out of 28 Cronbach alpha between 0.70 and 0.80) was defined, and stability in time was very good with a 7-day break between repeated translations (Spearman- Brown coefficient for the whole instrument was 0.806, ranging from 0.707 to 0.970). The majority of items in the Lithuanian version correlated with measurement class (correlation coefficients >0.40). Conclusions. The Lithuanian version of Nursing Outcomes Classification Use Survey is a reliable, valid, and applicable to outcome identification in clinical practice and nursing research. Future research and further evaluation of the newly developed Lithuanian version of NOC is suggested.

Tyrimo tikslas — ištirti, kaip mokomasi judesių stabilumo ir tikslumo 9 pratybų metu atliekant vertikalius 30% maksimalaus aukščio šuolius. Buvo tiriami nesportuojantys fiziškai aktyvūs vyrai (n = 8), kurių amžius — 20,3 ± 0,7 metų, ūgis — 182,0 ± 3,5 cm, kūno svoris — 77,5 ± 9,1 kg. Tiriamieji 3 savaites (3 kartus per savaitę) mokėsi tiksliai atlikti 30% maksimalaus aukščio šuolius ant KISTLER tenzoplokštės. Šuoliai buvo atliekami be rankų mosto (rankos laikomos ant klubų), amortizuojamai pritūpus per kelių sąnarius iki 90º kampo, liemuo — vertikalios padėties. Po lėkimo fazės nusileidžiant, kelio sąnarys buvo maždaug 180º kampu. Likus 4 dienoms iki tyrimo, tiriamieji supažindinti su jo eiga ir pamokyti taisyklingai atlikti vertikalius maksimalaus pajėgumo šuolius. Kiekvienos mokymosi dienos pratybų pradžioje buvo atliekami 3 šuoliai maksimaliomis pastangomis, ir pagal geriausią rezultatą nustatomas 30% šuolio aukštis. Per vienerias šuolių mokymosi pratybas buvo atliekami 100 30% maksimalaus aukščio šuolių. Po paskutinio pašokimo praėjus 3 min, vėl buvo atliekami 3 maksimalių pastangų šuoliai. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] The aim of the study was to examine the motor learning process of jumping accuracy and stability (30% of maximal jump height) performance. Eight non-athletic males (19—21 years of age, 182.0 ± 3.5 cm height, 77.5 ± 9.1 kg body mass) learned for 3 weeks (3 times a week) to perform accurate counter-movement vertical jumps (30% height of maximum jump) on a Kistler tensoplate. Four days before the learning program, the subjects were given instructions how to perform jumping, and they were allowed to familiarize with the procedure and to try maximal jumps. While jumping, the subjects kept their arms akimbo, trunk as straight as possible, bent knees to 90 degrees before the beginning of the propulsion phase, and landing with straight legs. Before each training session, after a proper warm-up, the subjects performed 3 maximum effort jumps (20 s of rest in between them) to estimate 30% maximal jump height value. Then 100 accurate (30% of maximal jump height) jumps were made with 5 seconds of rest in between. After each jump, the subjects were given verbal feedback of the height of the jump. In 3 min of the last (100 th) accuracy jump, the subjects repeated 3 maximum effort jumps. There were no statistically significant differences in maximal jump height before and after each learning session (p > 0.05). Darbo tikslas – nustatyti, ar mokymasis pakeičia 20 % maksimaliosios valingos jėgos (MVJ) atliekamų greitų ir tikslių izometrinių susitraukimų (IS) tikslumo ir kaitumo priklausomybę nuo potenciacijos. Siekiant užsibrėžto tikslo stengtasi atsakyti į šiuos klausimus: ar potenciacija pakeičia greitų ir tikslių IS atlikimo tikslumą ir kaitumą?; ar 9 mokymosi pratybos pakeičia tikslumą ir kaitumą?; ar išmokto IS atlikimo tikslumas ir kaitumas mažiau priklauso nuo potenciacijos? Buvo tiriami 8 jauni fiziškai aktyvūs vyrai. Tiriamieji atliko 20 % MVJ IS po potencijuojančio krūvio (PK) prieš mokymąsi (M) ir po jo. Jie atliko dvi serijas (kas 10 s poilsio) 20 greitų ir tikslių IS. Pirmoji serija buvo atliekama su vaizdine grįžtamąja informacija (VGI), o antroji – be VGI. Visas eksperimentas buvo pakartotas po 9 mokymosi pratybų, atliekant jas kas antrą dieną. Straipsnyje pateikti tik be VGI atliekamų IS duomenys. Gauti tyrimo rezultatai parodė, kad 9 mokymosi pratybos statistiškai reikšmingai sumažino IS atlikimo konstantinių (KK) ir absoliučių (AK) klaidų dydį (p 0,05), t. y. po mokymosi pagerėjo tikslumas, tačiau kaitumas išliko nepakitęs. Potenciacija prieš mokymąsi padidino greitų ir tikslių IS atlikimo klaidų dydį (p 0,05). Galima teigti, jog mokantis tiksliai atlikti IS susiformuoja galvos smegenyse vidiniai modeliai, kurie leidžia atlikti greitus ir tikslius IS tiksliau ir stabiliau ne tik esant normaliai, bet ir potencijuotai raumens būsenai. Aim of the study was to determine, does movement learning change the dependence of potentiation (PL) on isometric contractions (IC) accuracy and variability. The subjects were healthy, physical activety men (n = 8). Three days before the experiment, subjects were given instructions how to perform IC, as well as were allowed to familiarize with the procedure and tested the maximal voluntary contraction (MVC). The subjects done IC 20% MVC force after potentiation load (PL) before and after learning. They had done two series 20 speeds – accuracy IC on every 10 s rest. The first series were done with visual feedback information (VFI) and the second series – without VFI. All the experiment was repeated after 9 training series. In the article presented only IC data without VFI. The data shows that 9 learning session statistically significantly decreased the accuracy (the size of constant (CE) and absolute (AE) errors) (p0.05). Before learning muscle potentiation increased equally the size of errors (p0.05). Thus we may state that when we learn, in a brain internal models are being formed, which enable to do speedaccuracy IC accurately and with more stability not only in normal but also in potentiated muscle.
