Due to the increasing mental problems today, protecting and strengthening the mental health of the society has become an even more important issue. The lack of knowledge and stigmatizing attitudes of the societies about mental disorders lead to the inability to treat mental disorders effectively in the early period. In this context, increasing the mental health literacy of the society within the scope of preventive mental health services will be an important step. Mental health literacy is a very new concept for our country, it is not fully known and it is seen that studies on this subject are limited. Therefore, in this review, the concept of mental health literacy, its importance, interventions to improve it and what psychiatric nurses can do about it will be discussed. This review will provide important and up-to-date data to the literature and will raise awareness of mental health professionals about the need for mental health literacy intervention studies.

This is a cross-sectional descriptive study aimed at identifying the epidemiological profile of the patients treated at a Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and other type III drugs.Data were collected in 2014 from the records of 519 users, using a previously prepared epidemiological form. Most of patients are men attheproductive age; with low schooling and low family income. Most make use of alcohol, have undergone previous treatments in psychiatric hospitals and attended the unit for treatment by influence of third parties, even when it is contemplated. The users of the service are people with serious social and health commitments and although they are increasing use of crack, which is the current concern of public policies, alcohol is still the drug of predilection and represents the gateway to other drugs

- Abstract
Purpose: The prevalent disorder known as generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) can have various negative consequences. GAD harms individuals, families, communities, and society as a whole. People with GAD frequently experience a crippling decrease in their physical and mental health. When generalized anxiety disorders are combined with the pressures of pre-existing medical conditions, the quality of life can be significantly impacted. GAD severely impairs social and functional functioning, resulting in frequent clinic appointments, doctor shopping, emergency room visits, high costs from family and employer treatment, and increased costs for global healthcare spending. Proper diagnosis is essential to effective treatment, and a lack of proper diagnosis can cause issues not only for the patients but for the MNC Wellness center as well. These include low productivity, increased costs, and poor cost management to the patient, affecting customer focus and satisfaction and decreasing customer loyalty and retention. A quality improvement project was designed to educate Psychiatric nurse practitioners at an outpatient mental health clinic to increase their knowledge and the frequency of use of the GAD-7 screening tool. Background: To fill in the gaps in anxiety evaluation and outpatient mental care procedures, the clinic adopted the frequency of use of the GAD-7 screening tool as a standard of care after the educational intervention. The GAD-7 screening tool is a reliable, validated screening tool for generalized anxiety disorder that enables prompt identification, the start of therapy, and referral to behavioral health services. When used regularly in outpatient mental health settings, the GAD-7 can reduce tertiary care interventions, cut costs, and improve patient outcomes by lowering anxiety-related dysfunction. The GAD-7 screening tool promotes measurement-based care, which improves diagnostic efficacy and timeliness while promoting high-quality care. Methods: Sixteen psyc

One aimed to present an experience report about the use of the problematization strategy in the teaching of the course Care Process in Psychiatric Nursing offered in the undergraduate nursing course at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas. One adopted as the methodology of the study a non-systematic observation and assessment of the theoretical productions developed by the students in the first semester of 2012. One believes that the change in the education of nurses must follow a new paradigm that redirects the relationship between professionals and the community, and that directs health actions in order to meet the real needs of the population. Despite the difficulties identified, one concluded that the use of this learning strategy can bring advantages and contributions to the teaching of psychiatric nursing.

APPLICATION OF THE MODEL FOR ANALYSIS OF THE INTERACTIVE PROCESS (MAIP), WITH PSYCHIATRIC PATIENT Abstract The Interactive Process Model contains a nursing process where there are interactions with the person who needs help and content analysis techniques are utilized in order to facilitate the diagnosis of the situation. We aimed at operating and to analyse the Interactive Process Model with one psychiatric patient. There were five interactions between the nurse and one user of the Psychosocial Support Nucleus. In a schematized way we presented the evolution of the help process focussing the needs identified in the patient and the nursing actions proposed for following interactions, with the respective psychosocial diagnosis. It was verified that the Interactive Process Analysis Model is technically practicable and the utilization of this analysis allows to evaluate, step by step, the interactive process and follow the progresses and retrocessions been able to intervene help ping the person who suffers.

- Abstract
Data samlades in genom narrativa intervjuer.

- Abstract
The study focuses on advanced trained psychiatry nurse’s experiences of transcultural nursing in psychiatric care. Method: The study was conducted using a qualitative method of individual semistructured interviews. Nurses working in psychiatric care could share experiences of transcultural nursing. Results: In the result, one finding was that nurses perceive differences oflanguage as a barrier in the care, because communication is central in psychiatriccare. Religious and cultural beliefs and practices may also have an impact on the meeting with a patient from a different culture. There is opportunity for enhanced mutual understand when relatives are involved in the care. They can provide more information as well as support to the patient. Interpreters are used to solve communication problems; however they are not engaged as often as they should, due to the cost. Conclusion: That nurses, to a large extent, have been able to take into account patient’s wishes and thereby been able to offer the best possible treatment optionsto the patient. The study finds that nurses in general need a wider knowledge of transcultural nursing.

- Abstract
Staff perceptions relay contextual factors which must be considered in developing psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMhNP) practice outcomes. This study, a secondary analysis, examined perceptions of interdisciplinary staff about outcomes of PMhNP practice on an inpatient, psychiatric unit. Data were originally gathered during two focus groups from seventeen participants, all integral to client care. Content analysis revealed philosophical differences between participants' and PMhNPs' perspectives about empowerment as a client outcome. These differences indicate that PMhNPs must consider interdisciplinary sensibilities in framing PMhNP outcomes. Participants concurred on systems outcomes of PMhNP practice required to support client empowerment. These findings support the utility of a social ecological model in interpreting staff perceptions relative to PMhNP outcomes developed in a complex, organizational environment.
