Film is the replication of real-life which employs visual elements apart from dialogue and sound effects to communicate effectively to an audience. An aspect of using such visual elements includes setting, sets and props to define a character's social status, geographical location, period, and other circumstances. In addition, such visual elements in the cinematic space can present significations, meanings and visual metaphors in the story. These visual elements are signs and symbols perceived as film language and used to communicate in films. The explication of this communication apparatus and its study as signification is known as semiotics. As observed, very little scholarly attention has been given to research on setting, sets and props in Ghanaian films based on semiotics. Therefore, this paper focuses on setting, sets and props in the Ghanaian film titled Sinking Sands (2010). It employs the qualitative approach and framework. Based on the semiotics theoretical anchorage, this paper attempts to analyse how some settings, sets, and props are used in the selected Ghanaian film Sinking Sands (2010) to make meaning and present visual metaphors in the cinematic space. It is observed that the use of visual elements such as setting, sets and props in films does not only present their functional or utilitarian purposes as viewed in the society but they also display different dimensions of meanings and visual metaphors in the cinematic space. This paper criticises the Waltonian fictional view for misconstruing the role of imagination in scientific modelling, and for failing to provide an adequate account of the epistemology of modelling. It is argued that the central notions of prescribed imagination, props and principles of generation should be abandoned because they confuse more than clarify the philosophy of modelling. It is argued that the epistemic credibility of inferences in modelling require that results are explicitly derived with model descriptions in a proof, but since prescribed imagination does not guarantee that any actual inferences are made, principles of indirect generation cannot determine the content of a model. An alternative epistemic account of model content is proposed, and it is shown that the Waltonian fictional view does not have resources to accommodate the practices in which such content is determined. This critique highlights the limitations of using concepts from fiction theory in scientific modelling, suggesting that the Waltonian fictional view obscures rather than clarifies modelling practices. El proceso constructivo es fundamental en la construcción de obras civiles, la visión y planificación debe estar definida de manera correcta antes de realizar una obra estructural en campo, mucho más si son obras que requieren de un proceso más detallado como lo son las obras de tipo esencial. En el presente artículo se realizó un análisis estructural del proceso constructivo que conlleva una estructura de carácter esencial, la misma tiene como características: 6 niveles, luces de 9 m y una altura de entrepiso de 4,50 m, de acuerdo con éstas se realizó una modelación del proceso constructivo aplicando un procedimiento de cimbrado, clareado y descimbrado. Con la ayuda de paquetes computacionales como el ETABS, se ha realizado modelaciones para el análisis de la estructura frente a los elementos auxiliares que existen en ella en este caso los puntales, dando como resultado el comportamiento de la estructura de acuerdo con los pasos de carga utilizados en el programa, así, obteniendo que las cargas del Modelo 2 son de 3-6 veces mayores que el Modelo 1. Research has been conducted on the development of Arduino Uno-based Free Fall Motion (FFM) teaching aids to increase learning motivation towards the results of practicum for 11th grade students of MAN 1 Mataram. This study aims, (1) to design arduino-based teaching aids on free fall motion (FFM) material, (2) to determine the validity level of teaching aids to 3 media experts and 3 material experts, (3) to determine the increase in student learning motivation, (4) to determine the results of student practicum, and (5) to determine the effect of learning motivation on student practicum results. This type of tool development is Research and Development (R&D). the subject model of this research is MAN 1 MATARAM students as many as 35 students. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The development model in this study uses a 3D model. 3D development model (ThreeD). This model is a modification of the Thiagarajan model which includes 4 stages called the 4D (Four-D) model. Based on the research objectives, a student's practicum teaching aid on GJB material was made. Based on the validity test results, the teaching aids are suitable for use as learning media in class 11 MAN 1 Mataram. Furthermore, the results of motivation based on the value before applying FFM props amounted to 51.60% (pretest). While the interpretation after the practicum (posttest) was 90.44% and the N-Gain was 0.46. This means that there are changes in learning activities in students. For the results of student practicum through the satisfaction interval with a very high category of 11 students, a high category of 23 students, a low category of 1 student and very low 0 students. Meanwhile, the correlation of learning motivation to student practicum results shows rcount> table (0.450>0.344) and obtained tcount> table (2.895>2.035). From the truth value of the hypothesis it can be concluded that there is an influence between learning motivation (X) and practicum learning outcomes (Y) on GJB material.

The following material is based on the study of various bibliographic sources and field research conducted in the ethnographic areas of Lăpuș and Maramureș. It focuses on diverse practices that have been part of people's lives over time, with water as a central element. From the information gathered, we have observed that the most common water-related practice is magical. In this context, "new" or "dead" water is believed to neutralize or cause harm in spells and incantations. In today's village culture, the most frequently used incantation is for protection against the evil eye, often used by mothers to alleviate their children's discomfort. In rural communities, water serves various symbolic and practical purposes. It is used for baptism, sprinkling the graves of aborted children (willingly or unwillingly), and for finding drowned bodies. As highlighted in proverbs, water is also seen as a reflection of human qualities and flaws. Direct, communicative and largely accessible, the choreographic tools of nightlife performance often elicit dramatic reactions from spectators, whether sexy, funny, surprising, glamorous or all of the above. This article follows pleasure, joy, erotics and pain across crip slutaesthetics into the choreographies of crip nightlife, based on interviews with four burlesque artists based in the United States with diverse experiences of sickness, neurodivergence, trauma and disability. I use movement analysis alongside attention to other artistic practices foundational to burlesque such as prop and costume creation to unravel the ways that performers Sweet Lorraine, Poison Ivory, Chaos X Machina and Jaqueline Boxx integrate their divergent bodymind experiences into compelling aesthetics and justice-oriented frames. I argue that crip slutaesthetics, that is the aesthetic qualities of crip sexual performance, can offer tools towards undoing ableism as it is entangled with racism, homophobia and transphobia that are often silenced by more formal concert dance worlds in the effort to deny embodied difference as well as pleasure from the proscenium stage. Should the theatrical fantasy of a statue coming to life involve an actor performing the role of a thing, or a prop taking the place of a human? Proceeding from contests between Hong Sheng 洪昇 (1645–1704) and acting troupes over the staging of the "Crying Statue" 哭像 (Kuxiang) scene in his dramatic masterpiece Palace of Lasting Life (Changsheng dian 長生殿), this article examines how the figure of the living icon became a focal point in broader struggles to conceptualize the relationship between theater and rituals of mourning. Actors staged this complicated scene as an "auspicious sacrifice" (jiji 吉祭), one that foregrounds the transcendence of love over lifeless matter. Hong, conversely, insists on the function of the scene as an "unpropitious rite" (xiongdian 凶奠), a solemn meditation on mortality and the collective expression of grief. By redirecting focus from the object to the space and social dynamics of mourning, Hong questions the drive to bestow on things a life that is not their own. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the modern era of the maritime world, the learning process related to ship machinery is essential and crucial for students to master. So many effective learning methods are used, one of which is the learning method using machining aids on ships. Therefore, making ship machining aids is an exciting thing to work on in this modern era. The type of teaching aid made by the author is a solenoid valve controlled by Arduino on a freshwater generator teaching aid. The method used is research and development, a process or steps to develop a new product or improve an existing product, both hardware and software. The model in this development research is a procedural model, which outlines the manufacturing steps exposed sequentially and gradually from the beginning to the end. The solenoid valve control model by Arduino on the freshwater generator teaching aid utilizes two electronic modules: the Arduino Uno type module and the one-channel timer delay relay module. The two modules are programmed directly with the buttons on the module. The working system in this prop is that the heater is filled with water and then heated, and then the water vapor is flowed through the transfer pipe and condensed using a condensor and holding tank. This system can run because of the automation control system in the electronic module.

This teaching aid design approach is based on compiling learning materials that are fully necessary to achieve the desired understanding and skills. In the lighting installation subject, vocational electrical power installation techniques at SMK Negeri 2 Sinabang, there needs to be more demonstration media, which causes problems for students who find it very difficult to understand lighting installations and put them together. With this teaching aid medium, it is hoped that it can help students' understanding of installing lighting installations and improve student learning outcomes so that learning objectives are achieved. This teaching aid is designed to be a learning medium as a teacher's aids in teaching material on automatic lighting installations using photocell sensors and motion sensors in electrical power installation subjects. To determine the suitability of the props, a research instrument was made in the form of a media validation sheet, material validation, and questionnaire validation. The learning outcomes of students are known by providing several pre-test and post-test questions so that they can be used as a reference for how successful or appropriate the teaching aids are to be applied to students and lighting installation subjects. Based on the percentage results obtained from media expert validation, namely 89%, and material expert validation, namely 100% from the validator assessment, learning outcomes through the pre-test were 28% and the post-test 83%. The results obtained were based on validation showed "Very Feasible."

One of the most widely used motion capture (MoCap) methods depends on retroreflective markers placed on an object. Through cameras, the MoCap system captures the moving prop's (3D object) motion. However, noise in MoCap data caused by the shape of the captured volume, motion between frames, ghost points, and markers' self-occlusion could impact the quality of the captured data. To improve the quality of capturing the motion of props, we tackle the problem of finding an optimal marker set configuration for a given input prop while considering various constraints. By "props," we mean any objects or handheld items of different shapes and sizes on which markers can be precisely placed to reduce MoCap errors. We propose an approach to optimize the placement of optical (retroreflective) markers over props while encountering various constraints, such as the visibility of markers, the number of makers used, the symmetry of the marker set, and markers' overlapping. We solve the marker set configuration problem using an optimization-based method, the reversible-jump Markov chain Monte Carlo. We provide marker set configurations for various props and constraints obtained through several simulations we ran to evaluate the performance of our method. In the 1830s, George Catlin undertook several journeys to the American West to document, through painting, writing, and collecting, Native North American communities he perceived as vanishing. He later assembled the different media in his Indian Gallery, which he toured through the United States and Europe. In this article, I begin to redocument Catlin's Indian Gallery and his exhibitionary practice by paying attention to its largely overlooked material culture collection. Many items display signs of non‐Native modification, like imitations of Plains pictorial tradition and detachment and reattachment of quillwork. Moving beyond questions of (in)authenticity, I focus on the objects' role in his exhibition, taking them seriously as one of Catlin's material museological practices. Through close‐looking analysis, I identify patterns of alteration and fabrications: replacement, repurposing, creating similarity and types, and emphasis on visual appeal. Based on these patterns, I suggest understanding Catlin's own approach to this material as a collection of props fabricated and employed to authenticate and support claims of cultural realism for his representations of Indigenous life. By studying this collection, we gain a deeper understanding of predisciplinary exhibitionary practices and how later ethnographic display technologies also relying on props, like dioramas, developed. Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest population in the world so it has various community groups, one of which is children with special needs who are deaf. A deaf child is someone who has lost the ability to hear. At a school in Purwokerto, deaf students cannot recognize general knowledge and arelazy to learn, especially in flat shape material. Often children like this need special tools in their learning to be effective, but the price of a teaching aid is quite expensive, so not all schools can afford it. As the technology of teaching aids develops, an application system that is more practical can be made, users just need to install it, no need to incur costs. In order for everything to be achieved, an MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) method was applied which was developed by Luther. This method has several stages of research such as concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing and distribution. Where the results of the research contain application designs that suit the needs of deaf children with features that are easy to understand.

Agricultural development cannot be carried out by farmers alone, because agriculture cannot develop beyond the subsystem stage without appropriate developments in other areas of the nation's life, where agriculture is carried out. In accordance with the direction of agricultural development, extension agents have a very important role which must be placed in a larger context, namely development extension agents. The aim of the study was to find out how far the influence of the use of visual aids in the delivery of agricultural extension materials to farmers was compared to if the extension did not use props. The research sample was determined using a stratified random sampling method. While the method of data analysis used the Chi Square Test. The results of the study Shows that the use of teaching aids in counseling has a very positive effect on the sample farmers, so that they can systematically follow the flow of the material presented, the level of understanding is higher and the impression is stronger in their minds. Sample farmers avoid feeling bored during counseling. The motivator is more stable in conveying the material. Differences in the age of sample farmers showed no significant difference in material acceptance.

The process of learning mathematics still uses conventional methods where the teacher dominates the learning process, so still experience learning difficulties, especially understanding concepts and mastery of geometry which causes learning outcomes to decline. This causes students to be passive and only accept the teacher's explanation in other words students are not directed to think to find solutions to the problems at hand. Problem-based learning is learning that makes students active and can find their concepts and be more effective. In addition to problem-based learning. learning must use media that support a more effective teaching and learning process. The use of teaching aids is very influential on the success of the teaching and learning process. The type of this research is experimental research and quantitative approach. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMP Rewarangga while the sample was taken by random sampling totaling 14 students. The data analysis technique used Covariance Analysis (ANACOVA). The learning device meets the requirements of validity, and good sensitivity reliability. The learning tools include Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), Student Worksheets (LKS), and Learning Outcomes Test (THB). Based on the results of Anacova with homogeneity test, from the calculations obtained F count = 1.0787 and F table¬ with a significance level of 5% = 1.98, so F count < F table causes to accept H0 and reject H1 which shows the variance of the two samples is homogeneous. This shows that problem-based learning assisted by teaching aids can improve student learning outcomes for geometry material.

The Open Studio model (OS) in Art Therapy (AT) has proven to be an empowering community setting, but its particular implications for dance movement therapy (DMT) have yet to be examined. This study examines DMT OS framework and the type of facilitation which would create a safe environment and encourage creative expression through the body. 16 elementary school children participated in six DMT OS meetings. The study materials included session transcripts, comprised of verbal discourse and movement qualities, and transcripts of the facilitators' discussions before and after the sessions. Three themes emerged: flexible and focussed guidance, planed and spontaneous use of projective accessories and transitions between visual expression and expression in movement. The discussion examines the similarities and differences between the characteristics of AT OS and DMT in order to examine the possibility of an applied model in movement and dance. Virtual Reality (VR) technologies have gained momentum in various fields, including art and design, where it plays a significant role in modelling, prototyping, and testing. However, most VR headsets offer only visual and auditory inputs, leaving other senses unintrigued. This study has two objectives: First, to investigate whether a physical prop can create a more immersive experience. Second, to establish the relationship between the physical prop and memory retention of the virtual experience. Two VR rollercoaster conditions were created: one where participants simply sat on a chair, and another where they were secured in with a harness. Various qualitative and quantitative data collection methods were used, including physiological, observational, and self-reporting techniques. Biosensors were used to measure heart rate, breathing rate, skin conductance and brain activity, in addition to a survey. Early results confirm a positive correlation, with varying degrees, between the use of props in immersion and memory retention. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presents a case study exploring the use of speculative artefacts framed within the Fictional Inquiry co-design technique. The case is derived from a project investigating current practices and potential future strategies to improve patients' hand hygiene standards at the Department of Oncology of Aarhus University Hospital. This paper explores how five speculative artefacts were designed and used to inquire into participants' experiences of their hand hygiene, both concerning current practice and future ideas. Our study demonstrates how the speculative artefacts used in Fictional Inquiry supported participant's immersion and engagement in co-design sessions and how the artefacts were used to maintain momentum throughout the session. PRIMs theory describes a computational foundation for un-derstanding task-general human learning and transfer usingrule-based cognitive architectures. Integration with ACT-Rhas yielded Actransfer, a model that replicates human learn-ing and transfer across many tasks. However, this model re-quires task-specific latency scaling parameters from ACT-Rto model different tasks, implying that there is missing com-putation in the theory. Neuroscience literature has separatelydefined the “task set” as the neural encoding that configuresstimulus-response rule behavior in working memory. The pro-cess of switching between different task sets is often used toexplain human latency costs. This paper introduces an alter-nate instantiation of PRIMs theory that enacts task set process-ing to account for the missing computation via a novel memorystructure called a procedure context. Human tasks of varyingcomplexity are modeled across two experiments. Procedurecontexts model human latencies and interference effects in alltasks by integrating latency, decision making, task representa-tion, and learning as aspects of a single unified process. Thisapproach offers promise for future modeling within cognitivescience by uniting theories from neuroscience and cognitivearchitectures.

This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective teaching aid in learning mathematical logic material. The teaching aid developed is Logic Toll Board named PATOLOGI (Papan Tol Logika). The development model used in this study uses the ADDIE development model. The stages of ADDIE development include analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection was obtained from observation and interviews, then analyzed descriptively. The results of the research that has been carried out indicate that the PATOLOGI teaching aids have been well developed, starting from the analysis stage to the evaluation stage. The tests carried out included testing the validity of teaching aids to experts, practicality tests and effectiveness tests through trial activities with students. The trial results show that students have no difficulty in using teaching aids, so that teaching aids are said to be practical. The trial results also show that the use of visual aids can arouse students' enthusiasm and interest in participating in learning activities, so that students more easily understand the concepts of mathematical logic material, especially compound statements. This shows that the PATOLOGI teaching aids can be categorized as effective. Thus, it is concluded that the PATOLOGI teaching aid is valid, practical, and effective.

In the prologue of Aristophanes’ Thesmophoriazusae (134–140) Euripides’ Inlaw after seeing the poet Agathon expresses his bewilderment at the mixture of gender signals emitted by Agathon’s clothes and the objects he is surrounded with. Inlaw enumerates several couples of objects incompatible because of their relatedness to one or another gender: barbitos and saffron gown, lyre and headband, lekythos (an attribute of athletics) and breast band, sword and mirror. In this paper I reconsider commentators’ opinions on the question whether there was indeed a sword among the props visible to the public or the sword was mentioned by Inlaw because it was present in the passage from Aeschylus’ Edonians explicitly parodied in the questions asked by Inlaw. A. Sommestein’s speculation that Agathon needs a sword to get into a male role is rejected as contradicting Agathon’s words in v. 154–155. I also call in question G. Kaibel’s surmise (supported by C. Prato, C. Austin and D. Olson) that the sword was present in the parodied scene of the Edonians because Dionysus was represented in armis there, as a conqueror of new lands. I consider that there are no firm reasons to think that there was a sword among the props of the comedy or that it was mentioned in the parodied tragedy as a thing present in the scene in which Lycurgus interrogated Dionysus. It is more probable that sword (as well as lekythos) is mentioned by Inlaw just as a most typical male thing opposed to typically female mirror. I also suppose that v. 140 “What can a sword and a mirror have in common?” is rather a recast of the anonymous comic aphorism “What can a blind man and a mirror have in common?” (apud Stob. 4.30.6a) than vice versa (whoever the author of this aphorism might be).

This paper deals with objects that serve as props in political speeches, and examines their role as carriers of symbolic meaning that is constructed during a performance enacted in a political space. It focuses on the use of such objects as rhetorical arguments in three speeches by Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu: "the bomb speech," "the drone-wreckage speech" and the "binder speech." In each of these political speeches, the initial introduction of the object serves as a declarative act of coronation. This declaration imbues the object with symbolic meaning that relates to reality on several levels: it can serve as a visual metaphor, as a metonym, as a concrete illustration of an abstract concept, or an exhibit or evidence that a certain event took place. The relations between the prop and the spoken text and its rhetoric are discussed in order to trace the unique properties of the multimodal array of arguments that the "crowned" object constructs. The unique characteristics of the objects serve to echo and accentuate the identity and worldview of the speaker, but may also give rise to meanings that undermine the speaker's intention. This essay explores how props that play babies perform not just individual characters but also racial and ethnic identities in two plays by Shakespeare and one by contemporary playwright David Ireland. Working across early modern and modern archives of text and performance to track ongoing, transhistorical processes of race-making, the article argues that the stage baby's mingling of the symbolic and material puts racial formation on display. Each play locates their baby-prop's performance of identity at the intersection of race and gender by featuring a paternal figure searching for evidence of a kinship with a newborn. The hypervisibility of Aaron's son's race in Titus Andronicus, and its connections to theatre history and material culture in performance and editing choices, contrasts with baby Perdita's relatively unspecific whiteness in The Winter's Tale that materialises Leontes's fears of the baby's indistinct, potential 'strangeness'. Ireland's Cyprus Avenue enacts Leontes's infanticidal threats and paranoia in the twenty-first century, staging the violent consequences of a grandfather's obsession with British purity. The repertorial relationships between baby-props across these three plays demonstrate how patriarchal questions of filial descent intertwine with constructions of race, ethnicity, and nationality, and how studying performance practices helps reveal social processes of identity formation. Models of early modern English theatre-making rely on fantasies of repetition. Sixteenth- and seventeenth-century playing companies leveraged a repertory system wherein a set stable of actors performed a different playtext up to six days a week. Such repetitions make available hauntological possibilities that attach to reoccurring bodies, props, costumes, and even architecture. This article considers the repertory of plays that repeated on the stage of the Rose theatre after renovations added a roof over the stage with its attendant pillars, which afforded the Lord Strange's, Earl of Sussex's, and Lord Admiral's players a new spatial, vertical dimension. In a brief post-reno period of highly regular playing, I argue that the pillars came to regularly serve as trees, arbours, and other ecological features to facilitate a character's death. In The Battle of Alcazar, The Jew of Malta, The Massacre at Paris, The Spanish Tragedy, Titus Andronicus, and a single comedy, Friar Bacon and Friar Bungay, the pillars make possible an accretion of hauntological resonances attached to their location on the thrust. This article explores the ways in which such dramaturgical repetitions, newly available in the Rose after the 1592 renovations, would have built up returner-audiences' associations with specific architectural features. Augmented Reality (AR) media has become a utilization or an intermediary tool in everyday life. Augmented Reality has become a medium to contribute to human life, such as games, virtual tourism objects, and learning media. However, the application of Augmented Reality media in the world of education as a learning medium is still rarely used. Therefore, the holding of this research is as a form of contribution to the development of Augmented Reality media as a learning medium. The form of contribution from this research is a simple Augmented Reality created by using qualitative method to collect and analyze the elementary students data and Marker Based Tracking method resulting an application that has a function as a hand-shaped prop teaching aid for learning the body parts of the hands in elementary school students. With this learning media, it is hoped that it would help teachers and elementary school students in studying the parts of human body. All elementary school teachers can use the Aplikasi AR Belajar Bagian Tangan as a teaching medium in elementary school laboratories on their elementary school students or as a prop while students listening to their teacher explanations while seeing which parts of the hand are pointed out by elementary school teachers through the Aplikasi AR Belajar Bagian Tangan. This Aplikasi AR Belajar Bagian Tangan may provide elementary school students with their study and experience in using AR as a learning medium that can improve students' analytical skills. In this paper, we construct groupoid coloured operads governing props and wheeled props, and show they are Koszul. This is accomplished by new biased definitions for (wheeled) props, and an extension of the theory of Groebner bases for operads to apply to groupoid coloured operads. Using the Koszul machine, we define homotopy (wheeled) props, and show they are not formed by polytope based models. Finally, using homotopy transfer theory, we construct Massey products for (wheeled) props, show these products characterise the formality of these structures, and re-obtain a theorem of Mac Lane on the existence of higher homotopies of (co)commutative Hopf algebras. The object of mathematics is abstract, so that the math teacher must compose abstract mathematical objects to be easy learning for students. Solving this problem, experience through real objects (concrete) such as props is required. Using props, students can see, feel, and think directly about the object after they learn so that the abstract concept being studied can settle, cling, and last in the student's mind. This devotion aims to provide the ability to think mathematics creatively and develop a favourable attitude towards mathematical thinking. The methods of this devotional activity are lectures, Q&A and discussions. The results obtained after doing this activity have an impact on students' understanding. Students who understand the materials taught faster and then teachers are also more creative in utilizing used materials to learn media. This paper discusses the figuration of the purple jade hairpin as inalienable possession in the Tang author Jiang Fang's (792–835) marriage romance "Huo Xiaoyu's story" and the Ming playwright Tang Xianzu's (1550–1616) dramatic adaptation of the story, The Purple Hairpins (1595). Examining how the hairpin's materiality and symbolism intersects with the tradition of classical poetry and marriage laws, the paper shows opposing poetics — the critical and the lyrical — of the two marriage romances. Whereas the selling of the hairpin in the Tang romance indicates the loss of Huo Xiaoyu's identity and the culture of romance — a true social order of exogamy based upon language exchange — the circulation of her hairpins in The Purple Hairpins authenticates her identity and the culture of romance. Research has been successfully carried out about the effectiveness of learning assisted by props of heat transfer by conduction, convection, and radiation to support the understanding of student concepts. This study uses a quasi-experimental method. This research was conducted at the Universitas PGRI Semarang, S1 Department of Mathematics Education which took Fundamental Physics courses in semester 2 of the 2018/2019 academic year. The research sample was 41 students. Data collection techniques in this study were conducted using tests and questionnaires. Statistical techniques used paired sample t-test. From the research, it was found that the use of heat transfer props in effective learning to support students' conceptual understanding.

The purpose of this research to determine the validity and reliability of instrument and horizontal resonance tubes props to support student’s generic science skills. The instrument used in this research is the observation sheet with the number of 10 student activities observed. The learning media used are products in the form of horizontal resonance tube props and props usage guidelines. This research is a qualitative descriptive study to assess and determine the quality of instrument and props to support student’s generic science skills. Each instrument and props were validated by two physics education experts. The results showed: 1) the average validation results by the two experts were in very valid criteria with a percentage of 85.42% for observation sheets, 91.67% for horizontal resonance tube props, and 100% for usage guidelines tool; 2) product reliability is on the reliable criteria with the percentage of observation sheet instruments 88.23%, horizontal resonance tube props 97.06%, and guidelines for using the tools 100%. Based on the results of the research, instruments and horizontal resonance are proper to be used to support students' generic science skills with very valid and reliable criteria.

This study aims to develop mathematical logic teaching aids through realistic mathematics education that is feasible, valid and effective so that students can find knowledge directly. This type of research is development research (Reseacrh and Development / R&D) with the ADDIE development model with subjects namely mathematics education students at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. The research data was obtained by interview techniques and questionnaires. The results of the study show that the props developed by the researcher in the form of this application have been declared valid by experts who test the material aspects and aspects of the media; declared interesting based on research on small group trials by 3 students and also 10 students in a large group trial by purposive sampling; and has effectiveness in the high category based on the results of field tests in 1 class of students who have just taken a mathematics logic course.
