Studie si klade za cíl podrobně prozkoumat, zda má dodržování bilančních pravidel vliv na výkonnost podniku. Pro ověření tohoto předpokladu byla statisticky testována data za malé a mikropodniky v ČR (celkový počet 2 537), a to pomocí t-testu a Mann-Whitneyho U testu. Zvláštní pozornost byla věnována ukazateli rentability vlastního kapitálu (jako ukazateli výkonnosti podniku) a změnám jeho hodnoty mezi skupinami podniků, které pravidla dodržují, a těmi, které tato pravidla nedodržují. Výsledky naznačují, že pozitivní vliv dodržování bilančních pravidel na výkonnost podniku nelze potvrdit, stejně jako nelze pozorovat jejich dodržování ve větším měřítku. Bylo by tedy vhodné otevřít diskuzi o tom, zda je potřeba, aby se bilanční pravidla pravidelně objevovala v současné literatuře podnikové ekonomiky. Zmíněné výsledky jsou zobrazeny a diskutovány v tomto článku spolu s omezeními výzkumu.

Introduction: Impulsivity and aggression are often interlinked behavioral traits that have major implications for our society. Therefore, the study of this phenomenon and derivative interventions that could lead to better control of impulsive aggression are of interest. Methods: We analyzed the composition and diversity of the gut bacterial microbiome of 33 impulsively violent female convicts with dissocial personality disorder and 20 non-impulsive age-matched women. Further, levels of assorted neurotransmitters and short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) were analyzed in serum and stool samples. We also assessed all participants using a battery of psychological questionnaires and tested possible correlations between the collected clinical data and the composition and diversity of their microbiomes and metabolites. Results: We identified four bacterial amplicon sequencing variants that were differentially abundant in non-impulsive versus impulsive women – the genera Bacteroides, Barnesiella, and the order Rhodospirillales were more abundant in impulsive women. In contrast, the genus Catenisphaera was more abundant in non-impulsive women. Fecal tryptophan levels were significantly higher in impulsive women. Association analysis revealed a strong positive intercorrelation between most fecal SCFAs in the entire dataset. Conclusions: Our study demonstrated possible associations between gut microbiomes and their metabolites and impulsive behavior in a unique cohort of prisoners convicted of violent assaults and a matched group of non-impulsive women from the same prison. Genus Bacteroides, which was differentially abundant in the two groups, encoded enzymes that affect serotonin pathways and could contribute to this maladaptive behavior. Similarly, increased fecal tryptophan levels in impulsive individuals could affect neuronal circuits in the brain. The circular economy represents an effective way to address limited resources and mitigate the impact of human activity on the planet. To summarize the possible effect of circular economy implementation on business performance and its possible measurement, a systematic literature review on a final sample of 28 papers was conducted. The main findings reveal that the circular economy can help to improve business performance and that numerous indicators could be used to measure it, especially the balanced scorecard approach, which seems suitable for such classification (however, more research on this topic is needed). Additionally, it was revealed that the circular economy concept itself has no clear and generally used definition, which complicates the summarizing of the revealed indicators. Entrepreneurial ecosystem is recently in increasing focus of scholars. There are several members of the entrepreneurial ecosystem shifting towards an entrepreneurial society. This paper explores how various regional members inside of the ecosystem are helping in spreading the entrepreneurial thoughts and shifting individuals and the general opinion from managed economy towards an entrepreneurial society. To unpack these activities inside of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, first the understanding of ecosystem and its dimensions is conceptualized. Then a case study is provided. The case study examines regional activities of several ecosystem players. The findings highlight several aspects regarding the entrepreneurial ecosystem and activities fostering its flourishing. Rather than focus on a comprehensive study about effectiveness of public policy makers, the paper concentrate on examining and mainly understanding some representatives of the ecosystem. These individuals are understood as a means to promote and support entrepreneurial society, ecosystem.
