The Fast Fashion industry is the second largest polluter in the world. The clothes we wear are impacting the environment during and after use. The amount of clothes discarded each year has increased tremendously. A staggering quantity of around 100,000,000 tons of collective apparel ends up in landfills. Most of the textiles are not disposed of in an eco-friendly way, causing the release of pollutants and greenhouse gases. In some countries, discarded clothes are incinerated to avoid piling up in landfills. Incineration releases toxins from the dyes and chemicals used in the clothing. This study focuses on analysing the money spent on each sector (Landfill, Incineration, Reuse and Recycle) and minimising the costs involved in a particular sector by first forming a mathematical model, and then solving it using Diophantine Equations. Waste management of textile waste has become an issue of major concern since the consumption of fast fashion is skyrocketing each year. Disposal methods like incineration and landfill are taking a heavy toll on the environment. The paper makes some recommendations on how the environment can be saved by reducing the costs. The objective of this study is to create awareness among consumers of the environmental impact their purchases are causing.

Grewia asiatica (Grewoideae family) is also known as Phalsa, used for the medicinal purpose has a high content of polysaccharides and polyphenols together with flavonoids and other secondary metabolites which obstructs their pure genomic DNA extraction. Although, there are various good quality DNA extraction protocols, extracting DNA from a high phenolic content plant is a challenging task. The present study describes an efficient and rapid DNA isolation protocol by optimizing cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB), polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and sodium dodecylsulphate (SDS) cocktail specifically for the extraction of DNA from polyphenolic leaf of G. asiatica without using liquid nitrogen. Extracted genomic DNA has high purity index (1.95) examined by A260/A280 ratio. The presence of good quality DNA was also evident by gel electrophoresis. The optimized DNA extraction method is efficient for both fresh and old tough leaves with high polyphenolic contents. The achievement of this method in extracting high quality of genomic DNA demonstrated the broad applicability of this method.

India tops the world in mango production. Uttar Pradesh which has a subtropical and humid climate is conducive for production of mango. Some of the popular variety being Dasheri, Langra, Chausa, Aamrapali and Mallika which are mainly being produced and exported from Lucknow and Saharanpur. With use of modern technology and latest research the production of mango has increased tremendously. It is being exported to many countries in the world. This paper is an attempt to do a mathematical analysis of mango export and to make recommendations. The study includes the present destinations for mango export and adds new destinations to explore the profits and transportation costs

The phenomenon of eclipses has been of tremendous interest to mankind. The solar eclipse, which will take place on 21st August, 2017 has kindled the curiosity towards this celestial occurrence once again. In modern times all the observations are gathered through highly sensitive telescopes. For calculations the most advance mathematical software’s and programs are used. It is of interest then, that in Ancient India, what the formulae which were used were and how were the calculations and predictions done by observing the positions of planets through naked eye and in the absence of the modern day equipments. This paper is a modest attempt to give a comparative study of the method given by Aryabhatta for calculations of Stars, Solar Eclipses and the methods used now.

Cyanobacteria are the most primitive, oxygen-evolving prokaryotic organism. Several, conspicuous investigations have been done around lipids from cyanobacteria. However, to date and to the best of our knowledge, no study was conducted to formulate and evaluate liposomal vesicles prepared from cyanobacterial lipid. In the present study, cyanosomes were formulated using natural lipids extracted from the cyanobacterium Synechococcus elongatus PCC7942 which were further loaded with thymoquinone. The results showed that the prepared cyanosomes were homogenous with an overall negative charge of particle size ranging between 200 to 210 nm and entrapment efficacy was 70.9 ± 1.86%. The obtained release profiles demonstrated sustained drug release pattern. The study of encapsulated thymoquinone on CCl4 induced liver insult in balb/c mice revealed the better efficacy of encapsulated thymoquinone as compared to thymoquinone alone indicating cyanosome as a promising candidate for drug carrier. However, more studies are required to establish the safety profile, pharmacokinetic pattern and biodistribution parameters of cyanosome for its clinical intricacies in future applications.

Today Computer Graphics is being used in many fields. Be it gaming industry, movies, architecture, in education sector for making class room teaching interesting or for making presentations for a business deal are some of them. It is interesting to know that Linear Algebra a branch of mathematics has made all this possible. In this paper we try to understand how images on the computer screen are scaled, translated and rotated using simple matrix transformations.

Food markets ,Onion trade ,Field study ,Supply chains - Abstract
This paper utilizes a comparative case study design to examine a regional onion market. The particular case of onion markets is used to understand perishable product supply chains. The site for the study is Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Results from a six-month field study are outlined. In particular, the findings suggest that firms should examine adding additional destinations to their supply chain. Further, we argue that utilizing Dubai as a supply chain hub is in certain cases counterproductive. Implications for food supply chains and regional trade are discussed., {"references":["M. A. This paper provides an analysis of an existing parking lot in one of Dubai’s major shopping mall. Dubai has won the opportunity to host EXPO 2020 which is likely to attract more visitors to the shopping malls in the future thereby increasing the pressure on the parking facilities. A mathematical analysis of this problem is done to explore the possible solutions. The concept of queuing theory satisfies the model when tested in real time situation. The concepts of arrival rate, service rate, utilization rate, waiting time in the system, average number of vehicles in the queue, using Little’s Theorem and M/M/s queuing model along with simulation software have been used to suggest an empirical solution. The aim of the paper is twofold, (i) To assess the present situation at the Mall and (ii) To provide recommendations to reduce the queues in the parking areas.

This paper provides a study and analysis of the extremely busy booking counters at the Megaplex in Dubai using the queuing model and simulation. Dubai is an emirate in UAE with a multicultural population. Majority of the population in Dubai is foreign born. Cinema is one of the major forms of entertainment. There are more than 13 megaplexes each with a number of screens ranging from 3 to 22. They screen movies in English, Arabic, Hindi and other languages. It has been observed that during the weekends megaplexes attract a large number of crowd resulting in long queues at the booking counters. One of the busiest megaplex was selected for the study. Queuing theory satisfies the model when tested in real time situation. The concepts of arrival rate, service rate, utilization rate, waiting time in the system, average number of people in the queue, using Little's Theorem and M/M/s queuing model along with simulation software have been used to suggest an empirical solution. The aim of the paper is twofold-To assess the present situation at the Megaplex and give recommendations to optimize the use of booking counters.
