The electrophysical properties of polymer composites (PC) based on polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE) filled multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) synthesized on the surface of basalt scale (BS) have been studied in the superfrequency range and low-frequencies. Concentration of MCNT relative to basaltic catalyst is 0.32 volume fractions. It has been shown that the values of real and imaginary parts of the complex permittivity in the superfrequency range and electrical conductivity at low frequencies depend nonlinearly on the volume content of MWCNT in composites. The percolation threshold of system 0.32MWCNT/BS-PCTFE has been defined and its value is 0.013 volume fractions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The structure of composites based on chitosan filled with multi-walled carbon nanotubes, including those decorated with magnetite, has been studied. The composites were prepared without and under influence of the magnetostatic field. The change in morphology of the films under magnetostatic field was detected. Influence of carbon nanotubes (CNT) and additives of CNT/compatibilizator on regularities of polypropylene/copolyamide (PP/CPA) mixture melts flowing has been investigated. It has been shown that for nanofilled melts the elasticity and longitudinal deformation values increase. It has been found that addition of CN? and compatibilizator furthers PP fiberforming in CPA matrix improving. It is explained by decreasing of interfacial tension at the interface of the components. There have been investigated the process of generating polypropylene fibers filled with carbon nanotubes, their mechanical properties and biocompatibility. It has been found that the increase in the content of carbon nanotubes in the fibers of PP-CNTs increases the viscosity of the melt and reduces the elasticity. Biocompatibility testing of the fiber of PP-BHT showed a nonmonotonic effect of the content of tubes for compatibility of the polymer matrix with living tissues. It has been revealed that the composite with CNT concentration of 1.0 wt. % causes the least disturbance of the living organism and the tissue reaction to the implant has a local aseptic character. Effect of carbon nanotubes additives on the rheological properties of polypropylene/copolyamide mixture melts has been investigated. The increase in viscosity and elasticity as well as decrease in the capability of the three-component mixture melts of being longitudinally deformed have been determined. These effects are explained by filling under influence of nanosized additives.
