The complex lead-free perovskite ceramics, (1-x) BiFeO3-X(B/K) Ti/MnO3, where X = 0.05, 0.10 were fabricated by using a solid-state chemical reactions technology. The X-ray diffraction analysis exhibits the formation of the sample in rhombohedral crystal symmetry (#R3c). The average crystallite size for BKTM with 5% content and BKTM with 10% content was determined utilizing the Scherrer formula, resulting in sizes of 21.83 nm and 27.81 nm, respectively. Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy spectrum analysis also supports the formation of compounds based on the characteristics peak corresponding to Bi-O and Ti-O bonds. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) shows the distribution of grain and surface morphology. The surface morphology indicates dense grain development with no fractures. The mean grain size for BKTM with 5% content is approximately 2.73 μm, whereas for BKTM with 10% content, it is about 0.49 μm. This discovery could help with grain and grain border resistive and capacitive properties. The impedance study reveals the electrical behavior of the sample. BaBiLaNbVO9 is a lead-free compound and has been synthesized by solid-state technique. The formation of the compound was confirmed by X-ray diffraction and is found to be crystallized in the monoclinic (space group P 21) crystal system (a = 13.7464± 0.0015 Å, b = 4.0156± 0.0012 Å, c = 12.4946 ± 0.0018 Å, β = 93.48 ± 0.01o). The crystallite size was found to be 52.91 nm. SEM and EDX studies analyzed the morphology, composition, and elemental distribution in the specimen. The average grain size is about 1.0651 μm. Several properties, such as frequency and temperature response resistivity, conductivity, and dielectric behaviours of the compound, have been analyzed. The overlapping large polaron tunnelling (OLPT) and correlated barrier hopping (CBH) models are appropriate for electrical conduction in the compound. The energy band gap (Eg) of the material was 2.40 eV, suitable for optoelectronic devices. Ferroelectric behaviour may be deduced from symmetric and well-shaped P-E hysteresis loops. The impedance study satisfies the negative temperature coefficient of resistance (NTCR) behaviour, which is suitable for thermistor devices and its correlated application. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The solid-state reaction route created the lead-free dielectric material CaBiLaNbVO9 at a high temperature. The polycrystalline compound belongs to a monoclinic crystal structure having dimensions a = 10.6738 Å, b = 10.4488 Å, c = 7.1793 Å, and V = 798.04 Å3. The grain size is calculated to be 1.1029 µm. The doping of La3+ at the Bi-site and divalent cation Ca2+ substituted at site-A and Nb5+, V5+ in the site-B of ABO3 has considerably modified the structural, dielectric, and electrical conduction mechanism. The study of ac conductivity (frequency-temperature characteristics) shows CBH (correlated barrier hopping) and NSPT (non-overlapping small polaron tunneling) conduction mechanisms. Non-Debye type relaxation has been observed using impedance analysis. The modulus and impedance study have been used to confirm the short-range order of charge carriers. The average transmittance of the compound is about 82–84%, and absorption is in the range of 0.1–1.0% in the visible area applicable for transparent conductive oxide. The energy band gap is 2.73 eV. The article focuses on a case study of a 55-year-old woman with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) presenting with aneurysms in the aortic arch, hepatic artery and renal artery, highlighting the radiological features and extra-renal manifestations of ADPKD.

The present study deals with the applications of the planar Newtonian four-body problem to the different central configurations. The basic concept of central configuration is that the vector force must be in the direction of the position vector so that the origin may be taken at the centre of mass of the four bodies and the force towards the position vector multiplied by corresponding inverse mass is directly proportional to the position vector relative to the centre of mass. For applying the Newtonian four body problem to the central configuration, the equations of motion of four bodies have been established in inertial frame. By the methods of previous authors, some mathematical tools of the planar problem have been developed and by using them, the Newtonian four-body problem have been reduced to central configuration. All the previously generated mathematical models depend upon the directed areas, weighted directed areas and position vectors of the centre of the bodies. With the help of these models some conditions have been established, which show that the origin is located at the centre of mass of the system. Finally these conditions have been used to some particular cases of concave configuration, convex configuration and symmetric configuration to generate some tools which will be helpful for further researches of this field. AIM: To find the normal mean values of the liver elasticity/stiffness by Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse (ARFI) Elastography in healthy subjects. Material and Method: This study was conducted on 137 healthy subjects without any known liver pathology or a history of jaundice by using the Siemens Acuson S2000TM Ultrasound machine with a convex probe . A routine ultrasound was also performed in each case, and the subjects with fatty liver changes or any other signs of a chronic liver pathology were excluded. In each subject, 10 measurements were taken and the median value of the 10 measurements was calculated, which was expressed in metres/sec (m/s). The inter quartile range method was used for the interpretation of the data. Only the measurements with an IQR of < 30% and a Success Rate (SR) of >60% were considered. The measurements were taken at 1-2 cm depth from the liver capsule through an intercostal approach, with the subject lying in the decubitus position. The mean ARFI values and the mean values according to the age and gender of the subjects were evaluated. Result: Valid ARFI measurements were taken in 108/137 patients (78.83%). The mean value of the ARFI measurements in the normal individuals was 1.197±0.25 m/s. There were no significant differences between the mean ARFI values in men vs women (1.195±.25 vs. 1.199±0.26m/s, p = 0.939), and also among the different age groups (p>0.05). Conclusion: In our study, the mean liver elasticity value (shearing wave velocity) which was obtained by ARFI in the healthy subjects was 1.197±0.25 m/s. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aim We aim to study the spectrum of imaging findings in patients with rhino-oculo-cerebral mucormycosis (ROCM). Materials and methods This retrospective descriptive study was performed in histopathologically confirmed cases of rhino-oculo-cerebral mucormycosis in a tertiary care center in Bihar, India. The case records of patients with radiological, cultural, and histological evidence of acute invasive ROCM were retrospectively evaluated for relevant radiological and clinical data between May 2021 and June 2022. Results The radiological evaluation included computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans done on 52 patients. The patient's average age was 48 years. The ethmoid sinus was involved in 51 (98%) cases and the maxillary sinus in 50 (96%) cases. Bilateral sinus involvement (45, 86%) was the most common, followed by pansinus involvement (27, 52%). The orbit was involved in 39 (75%) cases, the face in 25 (47%) cases, and retroantral fat stranding in 24 (46%) cases. Mucosal thickening (91%) was the most common pattern of involvement, followed by complete opacification (77%). Osseous involvement was seen in 17 of 44 patients who had CT scans, and the majority of patients had extrasinus extension with intact bone. MRI revealed variable T2SI, with T2 hyperintensity being the most common pattern. Heterogeneous enhancement in post-contrast imaging was the most common. Conclusion ROCM is a life-threatening invasive fungal infection, especially in an immunocompromised state. ROCM is characterized by a variety of imaging abnormalities on CT and MRI, although nonspecific. Imaging aids in suspicion or early diagnosis in appropriate clinical contexts, particularly in an immunocompromised state, and in determining the degree of involvement and complications. Early detection of ROCM and its complications enables proper treatment, which can lower the cost of care, morbidity, and mortality., Competing Interests: The authors have declared that no competing interests exist., (Copyright © 2023, . et al.)
