Two characteristics of the systemic autoimmune disease rheumatoid arthritis (RA) include extra-articular involvement and inflammatory arthritis. It is a long-term inflammatory condition that mostly affects the synovial joints and is often triggered by a confluence of environmental factors, including tobacco use, and genetics. The review investigates natural products' role in arthritis through three key approaches. In-silico analysis identifies molecular mechanisms and targets of these products, revealing their potential for therapeutic use. In-vivo studies evaluate how well these products work and their safety in reducing joint inflammation. In-vitro studies focus on how these compounds interact at the cellular level and their effects on signaling pathways. Together, these approaches offer a comprehensive understanding of how natural products could benefit arthritis management. This review focuses on translational studies and highlights the possible role of natural compounds as adjunctive therapies to conventional arthritis treatments. In conclusion, this study indicates that natural products have potential advantages in treating osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis based on in-silico analysis which shows anti-inflammatory effects, in-vivo studies that reduce joint inflammation, and in-vitro studies that amplify arthritis management. The rapid emergence of antibiotic-resistant microorganisms and the demand for sustainable water purification methods have spurred research into advanced disinfection, with photocatalysis as a promising approach. This study explores magnetic nanomaterials as catalysts in photocatalytic processes for microorganism inactivation. Magnetic nanoparticles and composites, due to their unique properties, are promising for enhancing photocatalytic disinfection. Their inherent magnetic traits enable easy separation and recyclability, reducing operational costs and environmental impact. These materials also act as efficient electron transfer mediators, enhancing overall photocatalytic efficiency. The review covers the synthesis and characterization of magnetic nanomaterials for photocatalytic applications, focusing on their structural, magnetic, and surface properties. Photocatalytic mechanisms, including reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation vital for microorganism inactivation, are discussed. The study examines combining common photocatalysts like TiO 2 , ZnO, and semiconductors with magnetic nanomaterials, highlighting synergistic effects. Recent advances and challenges, such as optimal nanomaterials selection and scalability for large-scale applications, are addressed. Case studies and experimental setups for microorganism inactivation underscore the potential of magnetic nanomaterials in water treatment, air purification, and medical disinfection. This study successfully synthesized ZnO-CuO nanocomposite using the hydrothermal method with Carica papaya leaf extract. The incorporation of the leaf extract significantly enhanced the nanocomposite properties, a novel approach in scientific research. Characterization techniques, including X-ray diffraction, Fourier Transmission Infrared spectroscopy, and Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy Dispersive X-Ray Analysis, confirmed a cubic crystal structure with an average size of 22.37 nm. The Fourier Transmission Infrared spectrum revealed distinctive vibrations at 627, 661, and 751 cm -1 corresponding to ZnO-CuO nanocomposite corresponding to stretching and vibration modes. SEM images confirmed a cubic-like and irregular structure. The nanocomposite exhibited outstanding photocatalytic activity, degrading methylene blue dye by 96.73% within 120 min under visible light. Additionally, they showed significant antimicrobial activity, inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus (20 mm) and Klebsiella pneumonia (17 mm). Doped carbon dots have attracted great attention from researchers across disciplines because of their unique characteristics, such as their low toxicity, physiochemical stability, photostability, and outstanding biocompatibility. Nitrogen is one of the most commonly used elements for doping because of its sizeable atomic radius, strong electronegativity, abundance, and availability of electrons. This distinguishes them from other atoms and allows them to perform distinctive roles in various applications. Here, we have reviewed the most current breakthroughs in nitrogen-doped CDs (N-CDs) for fluorescent sensor applications in the last five years. The first section of the article addresses several synthetic and sustainable ways of making N-CDs. Next, we briefly reviewed the fluorescent features of N-CDs and their sensing mechanism. Furthermore, we have thoroughly reviewed their fluorescent sensor applications as sensors for cations, anions, small molecules, enzymes, antibiotics, pathogens, explosives, and pesticides. Finally, we have discussed the N-CDs' potential future as primary research and how that may be used. 2-Methyltetrahydrofuran (MTHF) is a desirable biomass-based platform chemical with excellent potential as an ideal biofuel, green solvent, and raw material for synthesizing downstream chemicals. In this work, a series of copper nanoparticles encapsulated on SiO 2 were prepared by the wet impregnation method and evaluated as efficient non-noble metal catalysts for the vapour-phase hydrogenation of γ-valerolactone (GVL) to MTHF in a fixed-bed reactor under mild reaction conditions. The obtained catalyst properties were determined by XRD, FE-SEM, TEM, UV-DRS, TPR, NH 3 -TPD, N 2 O decomposition and pore size distribution measurements. Meanwhile, the parameters/variables tuning their catalytic performance (activity, conversion, selectivity and stability) were examined. Various Cu loadings featured on the SiO 2 support are essential for tuning the catalytic activity. Among the catalysts tested, a 5 wt% Cu/SiO 2 catalyst showed a 97.2% MTHF selectivity with 71.9% GVL conversion, and showed a stability for 33 h time-on-stream, achieved at 260 °C and atmospheric pressure conditions. It was found that a huge dispersion of Cu metal in support, hydrogen activation ability, abundant acidic sites and surface area are all beneficial for improved MTHF selectivity.
