Aim of the study is to determinate the advantages and disadvantages of protesis on implants. Intoduction Implant overdentures, as a treatment alternative for complete edentulism, are well known for their many benefits, directly related to attachment systems, the connection elements between overdentures and Implants Material and methods Modern dentistry has changed tremendously with implant therapy. For the successful implant therapy, making a proper treatment plan considering both surgical and prosthetic part in mind is the key of success. Often practitioners tend to create a treatment plan overlooking the basic principles of prosthetic part. Results This present review has discussed various prosthetic consideration of implant-supported prosthesis. A step-by-step detailed prosthetic option with their indications has been discussed to help all dental implant practitioners in making of an optimal treatment plan for each case. Conclusions Implants have become the treatment of choice in many, if not most, situations when missing teeth require replacement. Studies of the interaction between implant-supported restorations and the surrounding oral environment appear, fortuitously, to support the conclusion that the human host response to oral implants is favorable.

This paper presents a solution to reduce the noise produced by rig tenders. Underwater noise sources cause environmental pollution, with damage to marine life habitat, their communication, disrupting the feeding area, with economic repercussions on the number of fish and the fishing activity. Measurement of sound power level of these noise sources has led to the conclusion that the highest level, according to 120 dB re 1μPa criterion was extended to 3-5 km distance from the platform. A method that exploits an information theoretic framework to extract optimized audio features using video information is presented. A simple measure of mutual information (MI) between the resulting audio and video features allows the detection of the active speaker among different candidates. This method involves the optimization of an Mi-based objective function. No approximation is needed to solve this optimization problem, neither for the estimation of the probability density functions (pdfs) of the features, nor for the cost function itself. The pdfs are estimated from the samples using a nonparametric approach. The challenging optimization problem is solved using a global method: the differential evolution algorithm. Two information theoretic optimization criteria are compared and their ability to extract audio features specific to speech production is discussed. Using these specific audio features, candidate video features are then classified as member of the "speaker" or "non-speaker" class, resulting in a speaker detection scheme. As a result, our method achieves a speaker detection rate of 100% on in-house test sequences, and of 85% on most commonly used sequences. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]

Inorder to achieve this, the health decision makers need to initiate and conduct informationcampaigns for the population, on the subject ofknowing and applying the most suitable illnessprevention methods. In this paper, we aim to present briefly a few of the marketing tools throughwhich the responsible health actors can communicate to various audiences about the advantages ofillness prevention through vaccination campaigns.

This work aims at disseminating the research findings on the extent to which Romaniancompanies encourage communication within organizations, at all hierarchical levels, bothvertically and horizontally. In this direction we have conducted an extensive research based onquestionnaire. The work instrument comprised a section of questions used to assess thecommunication within the organizations where the respondents work. We have questioned around300 employees from al hierarchical levels. In a forthcoming paper, we will present the impact thatthe promotion and development of communication between employees and leaders have onorganizational performance.

Cervical cancer is a condition more and more often met in elderly women. Most screening programs do not include women over 65, based on the general acceptance that the period of maximal, vulnerability' to this neoplasm is over. Material and method: This study was carried out on 260 women over 60 years to whom a Pap smear was performed as a screening of cervical cancer. The rate of nonparticipation was 21%. The cytologic results were within the normal range in 82,3 % of the cases, had a low degree of abnormalities (CIN 1, ASCUS, AGUS) in 14,5%, a high degree of abnormalities (CIN 2, CIN 3, carcinoma) in 3,2% of the cases. For two of the women involved the suspicion of squamous cell carcinoma was confirmed histologically. Conclusions: the screening for cervical cancer makes sense in women over 60 too, especially for those who had no cervical cytological investigations in their life, or only had them randomly. In the current European context, it is necessary for all universities to become more powerful, and for that, they need full autonomy and decentralization, a very good funding and a total transparency in the decision making. In Romania, one of the consequences of adopting the new Law no.1/2011 - National Education Act, as amended and supplemented, was that all higher education institutions were to reformulate their entire organization and operation strategy and therefore, to redesign the decision-making system. Improving the university management, the decision making in Romanian higher education is challenging in terms of implementation of the Bologna Process principles. All this must be done taking into account automatically, all factors which influence university management, mainly but also the decision-taking process in universities in Romania, assuming that management means taking of decisions. Improving university management, the entire current and future management is linked in some way to the adoption and implementation of decisions.

The decision may be synthesized from the set of definitions as an option and will act for a certain course of action, several alternatives / strategies available, aiming at achieving a certain goal based on an evaluation process, on the means necessary and the consequences of its realization that generates a particular change in the behavior of those involved.

This paper presents an original model developed by finite element method to simulate the behavior of the material to the method “Blind Hole Drilling”, to determine the residual stress. Modeling of this method is possible through the use of the “Birth and Death” which have some elements of ANSYS library. After obtaining the analysis of movements, appropriate loads, a node located from the center hole at a radius calculated. In this way it is easier to estimate the stresses and deformations of a piece. Several measurements are made and based on this model is given in ANSYS. In this way we can have a map of tensions and deformations in a material
