Digital forensics (DF) is a discipline that uses investigative methods to find digital evidence and prepare it for legal proceedings in computer crime cases. Since this is a relatively new teaching subject in higher education institutions, syllabi and curricula are not yet standardized. In this paper we present an ontological approach to DF curriculum design, and discuss its implementation in a virtual digital forensic laboratory. The virtual educational environment is designed for the generic study of digital forensics, and is based on ontology and a composite-component approach. Basic components of our virtual DF are objects to be related, put into new compositions and placed in a library; relationships between all of the components are defined in ontology. Based on gathered experience, we designed and described DF curricula for undergraduate, graduate and Ph.D. studies that are tailored to our needs, but at the same time can be used as the starting point for introducing digital forensics courses at universities. The basic features of a software system developed to support the teaching of Wireless sensor networks, and the experiences gained in using it in the Wireless sensor networks course at the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, have been presented in the paper. The system has been used for a few years by students for the self-learning and laboratory work. It allows users to design and simulate adequate networks. User models are essential to e-learning systems, giving students learning continuity, tutors the evidence of students' progress, and both a way to personalize students' learning materials according to their abilities and preferences. Personalizing information has long been the motivation behind developing e-learning systems. Adaptive educational systems attempt to maintain a learning style profile for each student and use this profile to adapt the presentation and navigation of instructional content to each student. This kind of system adapts the learning process on the basis of the student's learning preferences, knowledge, and availability. One such Web-based tool is built at the Business School of Professional Studies in Blace (the system of intelligent evaluation using tests), which infers student knowledge using adaptive testing. The knowledge will not be evaluated according to fixed standards, but it will depend on individual characteristics of each student. Abstract: Energy saving is an important issue in the times of increasing energy prices. Products and services provided by the information and communication technology (ICT) can support energy efficiency and emissions reductions. The synergy of ICT and a residential area gives rise to the smart home environment. Ecological and smart home network applications should not only improve the peoples life satisfaction in the domain of health care, security protection, and efficient management of energy and resource consumption, but they should also enable personal happy life through easy communication with community people, high level entertainment, continuous education and so on. A smart home in the smart grid is the latest addition to a family of ideas emerging in relation to the ICT usage in the home.
