The article substantiates the pedagogical conditions of developing professional culture in law students. To this end, the authors reviewed scientific (pedagogical, psychological, legal) literature, taking into account particularities of professional activity of future lawyers, as well as educational standards of training law students in higher educational institutions (HEIs) of Ukraine, and the component structure of professional culture of future lawyers. The above steps suggested that ensuring efficient development of the phenomenon under study is possible through the realization of a set of pedagogical factors, namely: formation of professional-subject constructs of professional culture of law students in the process of solving simulated professional situations; involvement of law students in professional activity through legal clinics; creation of a professional and cultural educational environment in HEIs. We selected the pedagogical conditions with emphasis on the components of professional culture of law students. Thus, each specific pedagogical condition was directed to the formation of a specific component of the phenomenon under study. We applied A number of methods of scientific knowledge and special techniques in the course of the experimental research to study the level of the development of professional culture in law students. To check the effectiveness of the implementation of certain pedagogical conditions, we conducted a pedagogical experiment, which consisted of a series of successive stages. The students of the control groups studied with the use of the traditional system of training law students. In the experimental groups, pedagogical conditions of developing professional culture in law students were realized by implementation of competent, contextual, systematic approaches and innovative methods were used during classes in a number of professional subjects. The analysis of the indicators of the level of professional culture development in law students shows that there are students with low levels in both categories of groups. Therefore, the improvement of the professional training of lawyers in the direction of further development of their professional culture according to our method becomes topical, since significant positive results were obtained in the experimental groups.

The aim of the article is to study the evolution of strategic planning, due to the strengthening of the influence of the external environment on the activities of enterprises, and to substantiate the directions of its further development in the conditions of the turbulent modern stage. The development of strategic planning under the influence of the external environment is considered: from the origin at the beginning of the twentieth century in the form of budgeting and to its modern innovative stage. Three chronological periods of development of strategic planning and, accordingly, its three types have been allocated: competitive, systemic, partnership. Their allocation is carried out on the basis of changes in the essence, methods and results of strategic planning, which occurred under the influence of the dynamics of the external environment, as well as the views and reactions of the enterprise to it. The main features of each of the types are characterized. The competitive type of strategic planning refers to the period of growth of production volumes and stiffening of competition and is aimed at the formation of competitive advantages of the enterprise and strengthening its market position. The systemic type is distinguished by the development and systematization of methods of strategic planning and the formation of the process of this activity. The main attention is paid to the modern (partnership) stage and its characteristic features, which include: the need for a timely response of economic entities to the acceleration of the pace of changes in the external environment; innovativeness; comprehensive digitalization; priority of human capital development; orientation towards the principles of sustainable development and socially-oriented management; and, of course, the growing importance of partnerships. Digitalization is considered both from the standpoint of its external impact on the activities of the enterprise (external digitalization) and internal manifestation (internal digitalization). External digitalization encourages the company to develop information competencies. Internal digitalization ensures an increase in the efficiency of the enterprise, the creation of competitive advantages, and the development of innovations. The factors of external and internal digitalization have been identified and systematized. The main ways of building partnerships with the subjects of the external environment are defined. The main directions of development of methodical tools of strategic planning at the present stage are formulated.

The paper considers the problem of Russian war crimes in Ukraine in the context of the archetypal approach, in particular, the peculiarities of the influence of Russian society on the delinquent character of the Russian occupation forces. During the research, it was established that the manifestations of delinquency in the Russian military are criminal in nature, they are an integral part of the Russian-Ukrainian war, and are directed mainly against the civilian population. The origin of modern Russian ideology and its dangers for modernity are determined. Based on historical examples, a comparison of the consequences of the delinquency of fascist and racist ideologies and the manifestation of the latter during hostilities was made. The psychological portrait of the Russian army is considered in the context of a representative sample of Russian society. An archetypal analysis of the latter’s genesis is carried out, and the archetype of the Horde is identified, which has had a decisive influence on the development of modern Russian society. The author traced the impact of the Horde archetype on the modern Russian state system, state-building processes and society in general. The channels of influence of the Horde archetype on the formation of the Russian army and its relations with the crimes committed by the Russian military on the territory of Ukraine were studied. The phenomenon of the influential leader and its correspondence to the archetype of the Horde are analysed. The paper determined how the Horde archetype affects the perception of other nations and nationalities by Russians, how “Russian collectivism” relates to responsibility, and what is the basis for the Russians’ justification of Russian war crimes in Ukraine. In conclusion, the cardinal changes that have taken place in the perception of the war and the enemy in Ukrainian society are noted, and the leading role of the analysis of basic Russian archetypes for effective resistance to Russian military and semantic aggression is determined. Further directions of archetypal research in the context of the “Russian issue” are outlined.

The paper presents the results of spore-pollen analysis of 47 surface soil samples from the Middle Volga region, taken both in territories with vegetation close to zonal one and in heavily disturbed vegetation areas and agricultural lands. The analysis showed an ambiguous relationship between subrecent spectra and modern vegetation, both local and regional. This is explained by strong anthropogenic transformation of landscapes and the spread of conifer plantations, which form the basis of the modern “pollen rain”. Comparison of the soil subrecent spectra with the spectra of the buried soils uncovered during archaeological excavations in Bolgar showed that the soils of different archaeological eras differ in the composition of the pollen preserved in them, which reflects significant changes in the landscape over time. These changes are associated mainly with the change of the dominant types of land use. It is shown that the pollen spectra of the trampled open areas (roadsides, wastelands and cattle tracks) have characteristic distinctive features, which can be used in the interpretation of the results of archaeological-soil studies.

Environmentally conscious and preparation of competent professionals' in higher education system in Kazakhstan is a priority. The need for more effective environmental competence formation for students actualizes the problem of development and scientific substantiation of the theoretical model of students' environmental competence, methods of their formation, and diagnostics. To achieve this goal, we used a range of methods that are relevant to the problem--analysis, modeling, experiment and synthesis. The developed model of environmental competence is the main competence of future specialists of any profile and reflects the dialectical relationship of the characteristics and functions of environmental competence. It is shown that an environmentally competent individual is willing and able to act competently in situations that threaten life, safety or nature. Structural analysis of environmental competence model revealed the peculiarities of its formation, as well as to develop knowledge about it. The results allowed developing assessment and diagnosis system of students' environmental competence formation. System's application in the course of the experiment showed that 77% of the participants have the environmental competence formed at a low level, which confirmed the need in the author's methodology implementation. This article describes the stages of the author's methodology and provides methodological recommendations for students' environmental competence formation. It is concluded that students' environmental competence formation must direct the pedagogical efforts not so much on the individual components formation of environmental competence as on functional and structural relationships' formation and development between them.

The article discusses the positive impact of an environmentally responsible individual as the social unit able to live in harmony with the natural world, himself/herself and other people. The purpose of the article is to provide theoretical substantiation of modern teaching methods. The authors considered the experience of philosophy, psychology, pedagogy and sociology, based on the understanding of environmentally responsible personality development as a process. Research methods included dialectical, system-synergetic, ecological and humanistic, axiological, environmental, activity and personality-developmental approaches. The article contains five methodical points aimed at developing a comprehensive training program. The study provides definition of an environmentally responsible personality as a personality characterized by conscious implementation of his/her life activity in harmony with nature, with himself/herself and other people, which provides the possibility to develop modern educational aids, which can be used in the teaching and learning process.

The article is aimed at a theoretical generalization of forms, methods and instrumentarium for choosing perspective directions for small business development in Ukraine. At present, there are a significant number of scientific achievements on the formation of a balanced government policy on the State regulation of small business development in Ukraine. The legal principles of the State regulation of activities of business entities that aim to make a profit are determined by the Law of Ukraine «On the Associations of Economic Management». Generalization of the theoretical developments of domestic and foreign scholars on the choice of methods for determining the current state and prospects for the development of small business representatives allowed to distinguish the most common approaches to solving this issue. Most specialists are inclined to define the need for a comprehensive assessment of the state of small business entities both in the whole country and in its administrative territories. The most common techniques include: analysis of statistical indicators of the state of small business and their dynamics for a certain period; comparative analysis of the state of small business development by types of economic activity both in the inland territories and in the countries of the world; compiling a SWOT analysis with the definition of strengths and weaknesses, as well as external opportunities and threats to small businesses; computing the integral indicator of the level using the taxonomic analysis and the method of ranking of research objects; classification of levels of development of small business representatives based on the results of cluster analysis. The disadvantages of these approaches are that their computing does not take into account the significance of certain indicators of integrated evaluation, that is, these methods are incapable of giving clear answers to the question of finding perspective directions for the development of the small business sector. Also, the above methods do not reflect the territorial specifics of the development of certain types of economic activity, taking into account the representatives of small business and their role and place in a particular industry in a timely context over the years. All of the above has created the basis for searching a new instrumentarium to choose perspective directions for small business development in Ukraine.

The article defines the concept of «strategy» as: plan, competitive actions, behavior model, market position, conception and perspective. The strategy is a comprehensive, unified and integrated plan, a set of actions and measures to solve a specific problem situation, achieving targeted goals that are developed in advance for a certain period of time. Current trends in the implementation of strategies include ensuring the quality of products, focusing on individual groups of consumers and improving products and services. The strategies of leadership, cost minimization and differentiation are typically focused on gaining a competitive advantage within a wide range of industry sector segments, while the focusing strategy involves gaining cost advantages or differentiation in narrow segments of the industry sector. Modern trends in the implementation of strategies of leadership, cost minimization and differentiation focus are identified on the example of enterprises of the EU countries. Three of the most popular company strategies are: 1) high quality focus – 52.3% of the EU companies use this strategy; 2) focus on satisfying established groups of consumers – 50.3%, which reflects the world-view or ways of thinking of entrepreneurs in these markets and confirms the theoretical idea that the strategy is a conception that has a manifestation in the world-view of stakeholders and business owners; 3) focus on improving the existing products and services, which are used by an average of 41.5% of companies. In addition, 37.7% of the EU firms use the focus on appealing to new consumer groups, and 36.7% of organizations use a specific solution for a client. It is proved that most companies in the EU use two or more strategies that are built on innovation activities (products, services, business processes) at the same time.

The article examines the materials of the beginning of the Migration period from the Biklyan’ settlement, located in the Lower Kama region. The area of 100 m2 was excavated in 2018, where a rectangular structure slightly deepened into subsoil loam with a large pit in the central part was revealed. The finds are mainly represented by fragments of ceramics, as well as an iron sickle, spinning whorls, a fragment of a crucible and ceramic objects of unknown purpose. The artifacts from the Biklyan’ settlement have close analogies in the materials of the sites dated to the beginning of the Migration period in the Middle Volga region (3rd–4th centuries CE) and reflect the traditions of several different population groups. The bulk of the ceramics collection is similar to the vessels of the Middle Volga variant of the Kiev culture; there are also fragments that find analogies in the assemblages of the forest-steppe peripheral sites of the Late Sarmatian world and in the simultaneous cultures of the Kama region. Stratigraphic records and radiocarbon dating testify in favor of the relatively short-term functioning of the site in the late 3rd – early 4th centuries.

The Beganchik locality is a stratigraphic sequence of loessic deposits, pedogenic horizons and Paleolithic occupations located at the Kama-Volga confluence. The sequence is exposed on a bluff formed on the west side of an erosional remnant between the Kuybyshev Reservoir and the former channel of the Aktay River. Although the site is known for its Terminal Paleolithic-Mesolithic occupations of the Pleistocene-Holocene transition, evidence of older occupations and remains of fauna has been identified. Our research team identified evidence of human presence associated with a pedogenic horizon of MIS 3 age. Two AMS radiocarbon ages from a hearth produced ages around 47 000 years BP. Pollen and phytoliths from two soils horizons, including the one associated with the hearths indicate a steppe environment coincident with the formation of correlative soils elsewhere in the Russian Plain.

The paper features the results of a comprehensive study of the fortifications of the Troitskii-Urai I hillfort. An analysis of a rampart section using the archaeological, geomorphological, palynological and soil science methods has made it possible to draw the following conclusions. The hillfort was built at the site of a community of the Bronze Age – the beginning of the Early Iron Age (12th – 9th centuries B.C.), and the rampart is connected to a saddle, which became an additional element of fortification. Two stages of the rampart’s construction were identified, which was completed by the population of the Post-Maklasheevka culture of Ananyino cultural and historical area. The early rampart is dated the 8th – 5th centuries B.C., and the late rampart was constructed in late 5th – 3rd/2nd centuries B.C. No information on the participation of representatives of the Imenkovo and Bolgar pre-Mongol cultures in the construction of the rampart has been revealed in this section. Throughout the entire period of the hillfort’s existence in the Early Iron Age, its inhabitants were engaged in agriculture, and the predominant consumed food items at its initial and late stages were fish and meat, respectively. The Troitskii-Urai II hillfort was built to the west of the Troitskii-Urai I hillfort in the Imenkovo period (4th –6th centuries).The second one significantly differs in terms of rampart morphology.

The article presents the results of the study of the hillfort at Bolshie Algashi village (Chuvashia, Russia) conducted in 2016–17. The study provides new data on the cultural and economic dynamics in the region during the Bronze and Early Iron Ages. A mixed group of Khula-Syuch and Chirki population can be identified as pastoralists and, probably, also farmers, who developed floodplains and forestless landscapes of the elevated riverbanks. Our research, therefore, provides evidence of almost the oldest farming activity episode in the lower reaches of the Sura River. The Early Iron Age occupation of the site is associated with the Andreevka-Piseraly population, who used the site mostly for its military functions.
