The issues of optimizing regional pricing are especially acute for the Kaliningrad Region due to its exclave features. At the same time, the cost of energy resources has become one of the main issues in making managerial decisions. Recently, the so-called Technoparks have become one of the new forms of organizing the production process in a certain branch of industry, or a process that is at the junction of several branches. There are a variety of descriptions of the indisputable advantages of this work format for a specific technological process, however, the possibilities in the field of reducing the costs of consumed energy resources that arise with such a local siting of production are not discussed that often. According to the authors of the article, based on the structure of the tariff, it is possible to classify methods of reducing the cost price by the impact on the components of the final cost of energy supply services. It should be noted that the classification sign of saving methods will be precisely the component of the tariff, while the methods themselves can be aimed both at reducing the price expression of each component of the tariff and at the volume of services for this component. The authors have also identified regional features of the pricing processes in the energy industry.

Гентамицин является одним из компонентов комбинированной терапии инфекционных эндокардитов, вызванных Staphylococcus aureus, включая метициллинорезистентные штаммы (methicillin-resistant S.aureus, MRSA). Цель исследования — анализ влияния десяти 6-часовых циклов воздействия высоких концентраций (16 мкг/мл) гентамицина in vitro на изменение фенотипа и генотипа аминогликозидочувствительных штаммов S.aureus, относящихся к четырём сиквенс-типам: ST5 (ATCC 29213), ST8, ST97 и ST22 (MRSA). Для всех штаммов, кроме ATCC 29213, после селекции отмечалось увеличение МПК гентамицина до 8–64 мкг/мл. Один штамм (SA0937) диссоциировал на три морфотипа, включая мелкоколониевый вариант (small colony variant, SCV). Вариант производного штамма SA0937 с колониями нормального размера характеризовался ассоциированной устойчивостью к даптомицину за счёт мутации P314L в MprF. Формирование устойчивости не сопровождалось изменением скорости роста, кроме морфотипа SCV. Для штамма ATCC 29213 после селекции отмечалось появление толерантности, проявляющейся в увеличении эффективного киллинга до 14 ч в 24-часовом time-killing эксперименте с концентрацией антибиотика 16 мкг/мл. У штамма ATCC 29213 выявлены мутации в пептидил т-РНК гидролазе (Pth). У трёх штаммов были обнаружены делеции в гене atpG, входящим в состав АТФ-синтазного комплекса. У остальных производных штаммов были выявлены делеции и мутации в генах метаболизма менахинона hepS, menA и трансляционном факторе элонгации G (fusA). Таким образом, использование гентамицина сопряжено с возможным быстрым формированием устойчивости и толерантности, не связанными с приобретением генов аминогликозид-модифицирующих ферментов. Выявление SCV ассоциировано с неблагоприятными клиническими исходами. При использовании комбинированной терапии необходимо учитывать, что существует возможность формирования устойчивости к даптомицину на фоне селекции гентамицином.

Introduction. The endothelial system is an important component of vascular-platelet hemostasis, capable of actively responding to mechanical and inflammatory agents. Patients with congenital epidermolysis bullosa are prone to mechanical damage to the skin and the development of a chronic inflammatory syndrome with a high probability of endothelial dysfunction.The study objective was to assess the state of the endothelial system and to reveal the dependence of endothelial dysfunction on the form of epidermolysis bullosa.Methods and materials. The study used venous blood of 57 patients (27 men and 30 women) with congenital epidermolysis bullosa. In patients with simple and dystrophic forms of epidermolysis bullosa, the platelet count, P-selectin, fibrinogen, albumin, C-reactive protein, von Willebrand factor antigen concentration, and factor VIII activity were determined.Results. Comparative results of endothelial dysfunction depending on the form of epidermolysis bullosa were represented and endothelial dysfunction’s dependence on the concentration of albumin, C-reactive protein, and platelet count was determined.Conclusions. In patients with a dystrophic form of epidermolysis bullosa, endothelial dysfunction is accompanied by an increase in the expression of P-selectin, factor VIII activity, and the concentration of von Willebrand factor antigen. Chronic inflammation and impaired nutritional status with a decrease in albumin contribute to the development of endothelial dysfunction.

Abstract Most of the anterior thigh injuries are contusions or strains, however, some of these injuries can be career ending. Early diagnosis and correct treatment are key to successful outcome. Analyzing injury mechanism and adding both clinical and imaging findings, clinicians can make the right treatment decisions already often in the acute phase of the injury. Low grade contusions and muscle strains are treated well with planned rehabilitation, but complete tendon injuries or avulsions can require operative treatment. Also, neglected minor injuries could lead to chronic disabilities and time lost from play. Typical clinical presentation of anterior thigh injury is swelling and pain during hip flexion or knee extension. In more severe cases a clear gap can be palpated. Imaging methods used are ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) which are helpful for clinicians to determine more exact the extent of injury. MRI can identify possible tendon retractions which may need surgery. Clinicians should also be aware of other traumatic lesions affecting anterior thigh area such as myositis ossificans formation. Optimal treatment should be coordinated including acute phase treatment with rest, ice, and compression together with designed return-to-play protocol. The anatomical structure involved lines the treatment pathway. This narrative review describes these more common reasons for outpatient clinical visits for anterior thigh pain and injuries among soccer players.

The relevance of the study is caused by the need to rethink the structure of the sedimentary cover in the northeast part of the East European Platform from the standpoint of sequence-stratigraphic analysis, which will make it possible to construct the eustatic curve and to become the basis for a more detailed study. Purpose: dividing sediments into first and second order sequences and plotting a sea level fluctuation curve. Objects: outcrops of the western slope of the Urals, and the northeast part of the East European and deep platform, deep wells of Nirimskaya, Kuliginskaya, Sokolovskaya, Sivinskaya, Severokamskaya, Sukhobizyarskaya, Yumyshskaya, Veslyanskaya and Osintsevskaya areas. Methods: field work, cross-well correlation, lithological-facies, eustatic and basin analysis. Results. The comprehensive generalization of deep drilling data and field observations of outcrops made it possible, from the standpoint of sequence-stratigraphic analysis, to identify and describe five first-order sequences (megasequences) following from bottom to top: Riphean; Vendian; Lower Devonian – Tournaisian; Visean – Lower Permian; Lower Permian – Upper Permian. Mega-sequences, in their turn, were divided into second-order sequences (super-sequences): Lower Devonian; Lower Devonian – Lower Frasnian; Middle Frasnian – Tournaisian; Visean – Bashkirian; Moscowian – Asselian; Sakmarian – Kungurian; Ufaimian – Upper Permian. Stratigraphic breaks of different duration are confined to the boundaries of the sequences. The longest ones are the intervals between the Lower Riphean and the Upper Vendian, as well as the Upper Vendian and the Lower Devonian. Sequential stratigraphic analysis allowed constructing a eustatic curve for a given area. The maximum regressions occurred in the Emskian, Visean, and Moscowian ages and in the Middle-Late Permian epoch. They are associated with a tract of low sea level (lowstand system tract) and the main terrigenous reservoirs. The maximum transgressions were noted in the Famennian, Tournaisian, Bashkirian Asselianian centuries. They are associated with organogenic structures, which were formed on the high sea level highstand system tract. Thus, the geological history of sedimentation in the northeast of the East European Platform is traced.

IntroductionVideo head impulse testing is frequently used to evaluate the vestibular function. During this test, eye movement responses are recorded with video-oculography (VOG). However, the use of VOG can sometimes be challenging, especially due to pupil detection problems (e.g., blinking, droopy eyelids, etc.). Therefore, this study investigated whether electro-oculography (EOG), a technique that does not depend on pupil tracking but on the orientation of the corneoretinal potential, might be an alternative to VOG for quantifying eye movement responses during head impulse testing.Subjects and methodsHead impulse testing was performed in 19 healthy subjects without a prior history of vestibular symptoms. Horizontal eye movements were recorded simultaneously with EOG (using an EOG system) and VOG (using a VHIT system: ICS Impulse). The eye movement responses to each side of both techniques were compared using a concordance correlation coefficient (rc), t-testing, and Bayes Factor (BF) paired t-testing.ResultsEOG and VOG obtained eye movement traces that correlated well with each other during head impulse testing (average rc = 0.89). Average VOR gains obtained with EOG and VOG were not significantly different from each other for all subjects during left head impulses. However, VOG gains differed between both techniques regarding right head impulses. VOG showed significant VOR gain asymmetry (5% to the right), whereas EOG showed no significant asymmetry (1% to the right).ConclusionThis study demonstrated the use of EOG to record eye movements during head impulse testing for the first time. EOG and VOG obtained eye movement traces that correlated well with each other during horizontal head impulse testing. In addition, EOG showed smaller VOR gain asymmetry in healthy individuals, in contrast to VOG. These findings indicate that EOG might potentially be applicable as an alternative to VOG for collecting eye movement responses during head impulse testing.Trial registration number10192021-38 dated 19.10.21.

ObjectiveThis study aimed to investigate (1) the patterns of vestibular impairment in bilateral vestibulopathy (BVP) and subsequently, the implications regarding patient eligibility for vestibular implantation, and (2) whether this pattern and severity of vestibular impairment is etiology dependent.MethodsA total of one hundred and seventy-three subjects from three tertiary referral centers in Europe were diagnosed with BVP according to the Bárány Society diagnostic criteria. The subjects underwent vestibular testing such as the caloric test, torsion swing test, video Head Impulse Test (vHIT) in horizontal and vertical planes, and cervical and/or ocular vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (c- and oVEMPs). The etiologies were split into idiopathic, genetic, ototoxicity, infectious, Menière's Disease, (head)trauma, auto-immune, neurodegenerative, congenital, and mixed etiology.ResultsThe caloric test and horizontal vHIT more often indicated horizontal semicircular canal impairment than the torsion swing test. The vHIT results showed significantly higher gains for both anterior canals compared with the horizontal and posterior canals (p < 0.001). The rates of bilaterally absent oVEMP responses were higher compared to the bilaterally absent cVEMP responses (p = 0.010). A total of fifty-four percent of the patients diagnosed with BVP without missing data met all three Bárány Society diagnostic test criteria, whereas 76% of the patients were eligible for implantation according to the vestibular implantation criteria. Regarding etiology, only horizontal vHIT results were significantly lower for trauma, neurodegenerative, and genetic disorders, whereas the horizontal vHIT results were significantly higher for Menière's Disease, infectious and idiopathic BVP. The exploration with hierarchical cluster analysis showed no significant association between etiology and patterns of vestibular impairment.ConclusionThis study showed that caloric testing and vHIT seem to be more sensitive for measuring vestibular impairment, whereas the torsion swing test is more suited for measuring residual vestibular function. In addition, no striking patterns of vestibular impairment in relation to etiology were found. Nevertheless, it was demonstrated that although the implantation criteria are stricter compared with the Bárány Society diagnostic criteria, still, 76% of patients with BVP were eligible for implantation based on the vestibular test criteria. It is advised to carefully examine every patient for their overall pattern of vestibular impairment in order to make well-informed and personalized therapeutic decisions.

The literature review discusses current trends in the isokinetic machines (IM) use for both training and diagnostic purposes. The review dwells upon a wide range of IM applications, testing and training results, and demonstrates the applied nature of the IM use. The review addresses the issues IM use in professional sports. We come to the conclusion about a wide range of IM applications in both research and clinical practice. Despite IM disadvantages (high cost, necessity of special staff training, test results variability depending on an IM model), IM is a powerful tool in a health care professional’s arsenal which provides a qualitative improvement of clinical practice.

Pea (Pisum sativum L.) is a widespread leguminous crop. It is used for food purposes, as well as concentrated high-protein feed for farm animals. In addition to a great nutrition value, a balanced amino acid composition and an excellent taste, it is peas that is capable to produce large grain yields even in the risky arable zone, which most of the territory of our country belongs to. The development of the new high-protein, productive pea varieties that most fully realize the soil-climatic potential and meet the requirements of agricultural production is an urgent concern of breeders. The purpose of the current study was to develop a new pea variety, adapted for cultivation in the Republic of Bashkortostan. There has been estimated the collection peas material on morphobiological and economically valuable traits. The best varieties have been used for hybridization. Among the hybridized breeding forms there has been identifed the line “L-31315/14” which possesses economically valuable traits. In 2019, this line was sent to the State Variety Testing as the variety “Pamyati Popova”. The new variety was bred by multiple individual selection from a hybrid population “K-7992” (Korea) × “Barbel”. The variety “Pamyati Popova” is a middle ripening variety with 64–78 days of vegetation period. The kernels contain 20.7–22.4% of protein. The variety is of good taste and cooking properties. Its disease and pests’ resistance is similar to that of the standard variety. According to the Competitive Variety Testing, the average yield increase of the variety “Pamyati Popova” was on 3.9 hwt/ha in 2016–2019. The largest kernel yield of the variety was 26.9 hwt/ha in 2017.
