"Seed development is one of the most relevant developmental processes in seed-producing crops. Seeds are essential to plants since they assure the next generation and the survival of the plant species. Nevertheless, they are important as food or feed for humans and animals, as a source of nutrients, playing important agronomic and socio-economic roles. Seed development is a complex developmental process that involves numerous molecular players and complex regulatory networks that is still poorly addressed in the literature, particularly for Legumes. This gap of knowledge was addressed within the scope of this thesis."
