In Online Social Networks (OSN) numerous are the cases in which users create multiple accounts that publicly seem to belong to different people but are actually fake identities of the same person. These fictitious characters can be exploited to carry out abusive behaviors such as manipulating opinions, spreading fake news and disturbing other users. In literature this problem is known as the Sockpuppet problem. In our work we focus on Telegram, a wide-spread instant messaging application, often known for its exploitation by members of organized crime and terrorism, and more in general for its high presence of people who have offensive behaviors.

This work investigates the issue of the liability of the food producer in the light of the European legislation that has always sought a balance between consumer protection and market protection. From the analysis made it is clear that the efforts carried out in the first direction and pursued also with the legislation on food safety, however, fail to make the protection of the consumer really full and effective. The author then proposes regulatory changes aimed at increasing consumer protection by not hindering the principle of free movement of goods.

Slow-moving landslides yearly induce huge economic loss worldwide in terms of damage to structures/infrastructures and interruption of human activities as well. Within the landslide risk management framework, the vulnerability analysis is a key step entailing procedures mostly based on the identification of the exposed elements, the damage classification and the definition of an intensity criterion. The present paper introduces a two-scale procedure for the analysis of building vulnerability to slow-moving landslides. The intensity parameter (i.e. absolute or differential settlement) derives from the information provided by Differential Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (DInSAR) satellite data, which in the last decade proved to be capable of providing cost-effective long-term displacement archives of structures/infrastructures. The obtained results over two slow-moving landslide-affected areas allowed the generation of empirical fragility curves for masonry buildings that, once further validated, can be valuably used for damage analysis and forecasting.

Here, we present the case report of a woman, aged 64, who presented with type II diabetes mellitus and psoriasis, on chronic treatment with cyclosporin A and with endoscopic evidence of an ulcerated, vegetating gastric lesion secondary to Candida albicans infection. Although strongly suggestive of malignancy, it completely healed after cyclosporin withdrawal and the administration of oral antifungal drugs.

The aim of this study was to identify possible clinical, biochemical or instrumental markers which can predict in a non-invasive manner the presence of EV. Analyzing medical issues related to the elderly patients, particularly in the gastroenterological sphere, Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) seems to be a disease that reaches an important role in terms of diagnosis and therapy, as well as adversely affect the quality of life of these “frail” patients. Comorbidities that affect these patients often lead to reduce the importance of this disease, which in fact, not infrequently, it is difficult to identify because of mild symptom picture compared to younger patients. Is important to remember that GERD, although in most cases provokes only vague dyspeptic symptoms, can also lead to serious complications, such as bleeding especially in patients with impaired hemostasis, aspiration pneumonia, or even to cancerization of Barrett’s esophagus. In addition, there are several factors favoring GERD, for example polypharmacy carried out for other conditions, which can modify the physiology of the anti-reflux mechanisms. This review addresses the problem of GERD, analyzing it in all its aspects.
