In this work, we establish a Trotter-Kato type theorem. More precisely, we characterize the convergence in distribution of Feller processes by examining the convergence of their generators. The main novelty lies in providing quantitative estimates in the vague topology at any fixed time. Abstract

The self-myofascial release is often included in football training routines the day after games to help athletes recover, but its effects when performed at this time have not yet been investigated. This study aimed to investigate the effect of a myofascial self-release protocol on post-match recovery in female professional soccer players. Ten players were included in the study, and all athletes underwent two study conditions: self-myofascial release (SMFR) and passive recovery (control). The SMFR was performed on the quadriceps, adductors, hamstrings, iliotibials, gluteus, and gastrocnemius bands, lasting approximately 25 minutes, on the day after the match. The study monitored various recovery markers, including the Total Quality Recovery Scale (TQR), delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), mood state, BRAMS (fatigue and vigour), vertical jump, countermovement jump (CMJ), 10 and 20m sprint, and creatine kinase (CK), before the game, 24 and 48 h post-match. The results showed no significant differences between the passive recovery and SMFR for any of the variables monitored. The results of this study indicate that a single session of self-myofascial release (SMFR), performed 24 hours after a female soccer match, has comparable efficacy to passive recovery for post-match.

Abstract

Goals scored are the most important performance indicator and may be a good tool to analyze game style predominance within different leagues. The aims of this study are to describe how goals are scored in the two major soccer leagues in the season of 2020/21, and to compare both leagues to watch possible differences in the offensive sequences that lead to goal-scoring. The aims of this study were: to evaluate goal scoring trends among two main soccer leagues and to compare the two leagues. A total of 1409 goals were observed using notational analysis. The total results show a dominance of positional play/fast attack (n = 38%), followed by set pieces as the second means to score (n = 32%) with corner kicks having a great impact (n = 36%) within set pieces goals. The most goals were scored by short possessions (n = 50%) with short passes number (n = 57%), with the recovery of the ball in the offensive third (n = 47%) and the huge dominance of finalization in central areas inside the box (n = 78%). Spanish La Liga scored more by positional play/fast attack, with most of the possessions starting in the medium third and using more the “central wing goal area” and “between wings left in the box” end zones when compared with English Premier League. The latter has more goals from counterattacks and corner kicks with very long possessions. Most of the possessions start in the offensive third and more goals are scored in “central wing between penalty and goal area” in comparison with Spanish La Liga. Abstract

Busca-se, via Análise Econômica do Direito, identificar, de forma construtiva, sem almejar esgotar o tema, que a atual redação da Lei 11.101/05, no que toca sobre o crédito tributário, contribui para a sua ineficiência. A metodologia a ser utilizada é de método dedutivo, mediante abordagem explicativa e descritiva, com pesquisa jurisprudencial e bibliográfica, nacional e estrangeira, toda ela especializada no cerne do tema. O problema específico a ser levantando é saber se seria possível incluir o crédito tributário no plano de recuperação judicial. Para obter-se uma resposta que seja técnica, prática e acadêmica, inicialmente, será explicado sobre o tratamento especial dado ao crédito tributário na Lei 11.101/05. Após, será mostrado que o poder e privilégio concedido ao Fisco, frise-se, tal como está, nos termos literais da lei, nos processos de recuperação judicial, é ineficiente e, que, as condições de parcelamento que vigoraram por muitos anos também não eram eficientes. No mesmo sentido, serão expostos os motivos que denotam que a legislação atual não cria incentivos positivos ao contribuinte a aderir tal parcelamento. Ao final, como hipótese de resposta, serão também abordados os motivos que fazem com que, em nosso ordenamento seja impossível, legalmente, operacionalmente e constitucionalmente, a inclusão no plano de recuperação dos créditos tributários, haja vista o alto custo de transação.

49. Effects of Caffeine Supplementation on the Recovery of Professional Soccer Players.

Abstract

(1) Introduction: Soccer players face high demand for training and games. To facilitate their performance, many studies have investigated ergogenic supplements that can assist in the recovery and performance of players. The aim of this research was to assess whether caffeine supplementation can help soccer players' recovery and performance. (2) Methods: Professional players were given 210 mg of caffeine or placebo in seven games during the state championship, being offered placebo in three matches and caffeine in four matches, administered 30 min before the game, during the game, and after the game. Blood creatine kinase (CK) and heart rate variability (HRV) were measured. Participants rated their perceived recuperation (RPR) and exertion (RPE) on scales developed by Laurent and Borg, respectively. The time that the player spent on the field was also evaluated. t-tests and Levene's test were used to analyze the results. In addition to mean differences, variations in the results were also analyzed. (3) Results: No significant differences were found in CK, HRV, RPR, RPE, or minutes on the field when comparing caffeine supplementation with the placebo. (4) Conclusion: Caffeine supplementation throughout the championship appears to have had no ergogenic effect on athlete performance and recovery. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

50. Evolução da função renal na fase aguda do infarto do miocárdio como fator prognóstico de eventos na fase intra-hospitalar e em um ano de seguimento

Abstract

OBJETIVO: Analisar o papel da disfunção renal na internação ou durante a evolução nos pacientes com infarto agudo do miocárdio (IAM). MÉTODOS: Foram avaliados 274 pacientes com IAM, entre janeiro de 2000 e dezembro de 2001. A função renal foi monitorada com a dosagem de creatinina (Cr) na internação e o valor pico durante a hospitalização. O clearance de creatinina (ClCr) foi calculado pela fórmula de Cockcroft & Gault. Foi avaliada a morbidade e mortalidade intra-hospitalar e após um ano do evento. RESULTADOS: A média de idade foi 62,2 ± 13,5 anos e 73% eram do sexo masculino. A função renal esteve mais reduzida nos homens, em pacientes com hipertensão arterial sistêmica e cirurgia de revascularização prévia. A análise multivariada revelou aumento da mortalidade intra-hospitalar relacionada com a elevação nos níveis pico de Cr (OR:1,18 95% IC:1,18-2,77 p = 0,006), com o decréscimo no ClCr inicial (OR:0,96 95% IC:0,93-0,99 p = 0,025) e no ClCr pico (OR:0,96 95% IC:0,92-0,99 p = 0,023). A diferença percentual entre o ClCr inicial e o menor ClCr atingido também indicou maior mortalidade (OR:1,04 95% IC:1,00-1,07 p = 0,033). A piora da função renal não alterou a morbidade e mortalidade em um ano. CONCLUSÃO: Disfunção renal na internação, e sua deterioração durante a hospitalização, mostrou ser um importante marcador prognóstico de pior evolução imediata.
