The application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the analysis of molecular biology data is becoming increasingly widespread. The Western Blot (WB) technique, a cornerstone in proteomic research, facilitates the identification and analysis of proteins, such as the frameshift mutant of ubiquitin B (UBB+1). In our study, we attempted to assess the potential of four different AI models—Gemini, Gemini Advanced, Microsoft Copilot, and ChatGPT 4—in the analysis of WB imagery containing UBB+1, derived from peripheral blood studies of patients suffering from schizophrenia. Participants, all male and diagnosed with schizophrenia, were recruited from the Specialist Psychiatric Care Team of Babinski Hospital in Lodz. After obtaining their informed consent, blood samples were collected and transported to the laboratory of the Department of Medical Biochemistry at the Medical University of Lodz. The samples were processed, synthesis of Ub-48UBB+1 dimers was performed, and the WB technique was applied. The result of the WB analysis, in the form of a photograph with basic labels but without a legend (JPG format), was implemented into ChatGPT 4, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Gemini Advanced. Following the implementation of the image, the command 'Could you analyze the attached photo?' was added, along with the protocol from Sample Preparation and Synthesis of Ub-48UBB+1 Dimers. The AI models effectively analyzed and interpreted WB images, with variations in their approaches and depth. Gemini excelled in detailing the WB process and biological significance of bands, while Gemini Advanced focused on specific band identification, especially Ub-48UBB+1 dimers. Microsoft Copilot provided a basic overview with less technicality, and ChatGPT 4 offered comprehensive band interpretations, linking them to patient samples and standards, thus confirming the hypothesis about the differing capabilities of these models. This discovery demonstrates the advanced capabilities of ChatGPT 4 and highlights the growing role of AI in scientific research, including the interpretation of results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The growing interest in insects as food ingredients on the one hand is controversial, on the other is in line with the recommendations of international organizations, such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Crickets, as well as cricket powder (CP), are a source of high quality protein, fat, vitamins and minerals. This paper analyzes the impact of CP additive (2%, 6% and 10%) on the nutritional value and consumer acceptance of enriched pâtés. It was shown that the CP additive significantly increases the content of protein, fat and minerals. It also changes the color of the product, which is darker (lower L* value), and the color balance is shifted towards the blue. Consumer assessment showed that the 2% CP additive allows to obtain a product of high attractiveness for consumers.

The aim of this study was to determine the impact of microparticulated whey protein (MPWP), used as a fat replacer, on the physicochemical and sensory properties of reduced fat, washed curd, cheese and cheese puffs obtained by vacuum microwave drying (VMD). The physicochemical characteristics of finely ground cheese puffs were also evaluated. Reduced‐fat cheese with MPWP addition did not affect most of the characteristics of the cheese and ground puffs. However, its influence on the characteristics of puffs was noted. Reduced‐fat cheese without MPWP has proven to be the best raw material to produce microwave vacuum‐dried puffs. Finally, this research suggests that vacuum microwave drying can be a promising solution for production of cheese puffs and that finely ground puffs can also be used as potential ingredients in food formulations. The aim of the study was to obtain and describe crispy snacks purely made of cheese (also referred to as 'pure' cheese snacks) using microwave vacuum drying technology. An acid‐set ripened cheese (Harzer cheese) was tested as the raw material. Cutting, hot air drying and microwave vacuum drying were applied in the technology process. This paper investigates the impact of these processes on the physical properties of the puffs; it also includes sensory evaluation of the resulting product. The cheese pieces expanded by ca. 1000% of their original size with a sharp decrease in the bulk density of the puffed samples. Water activity, hardness and brittleness of the cheese puffs were 0.35, 1511.17 g and 3.20 mm, respectively. The CIE LAB coordinates (in spin position), L*, a* and b*, were 82.81, 1.51 and 20.54, respectively. This paper shows that a new form of dairy product can be produced using microwave technology. Introduction: The objective of this paper was to assess the safety and efficacy of sunitinib malate in patients with well-differentiated metastatic pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (PNENs) who relapsed on standard therapy., Material and Methods: Overall, eight patients with well-differentiated pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours/neoplasm (NET/NEN G1/G2, Ki-67 < 20%), who had relapsed on a standard therapy approach, were treated. All had non-resectable, progressive disease. All received therapy using a standard dose of sunitinib malate. Adverse events were evaluated using NCI-CTC AE v. 3.0., Results: Of the eight patients, seven had non-secretor and single secretor tumour (gastrinoma). Partial remission (PR) was noted in three patients (one after a single therapeutic line, two after two lines), five patients had stabilisation (SD) - including three individuals after three lines, one patient after two lines and another after a single line. Haematological adverse events: leukopenia (25%) - occurred in one patient after three lines and in one patient after two lines; anaemia (25%) - in one patient after three lines and in one patient after one therapeutic line. Mucocutaneous lesions were noted in 37.5% of patients after 2-3 lines of treatment. All of them experienced fatigue syndrome irrespective of the number of therapies. The majority of the patients simultaneously received somatostatin analogues, which did not exacerbate the toxicity profile. The median progression-free survival time (PFS) was 11 months., Conclusions: Sunitinib may be considered as a fairly well-tolerated and effective therapeutic option in progressive non-resectable PNEN patients in the second and subsequent lines of treatment, irrespective of the types of treatment previously applied.
