Abstract In this study, we use a time-varying parameter vector autoregression in conjunction with the extended joint connectedness approach (TVPVAR-EJC) to examine the interrelationships among five variables, namely digitalization measured by the number of individuals using the Internet (% of the population), mobile cellular subscriptions (per 100 people), human capital index, CO2 emissions, and GDP, from 1996 to 2019 in Vietnam. Net total directional connectedness of digitalization and other variables suggests that it consistently acts as a net shock transmitter, whereas human capital was found to be a net receiver of corresponding shocks from 1997 to 2019. The emission of CO2 was a net critical receiver in 1998 but remained as a net transmitter for the rest of the period. Pairwise connectedness reveals that digitalization appeared as a net shock transmitter in connection with the human capital index and GDP. In the relationship with human capital, digitalization’s role was critical.

Our paper is the first attempt to analyze the environmental consequences and energy security of foreign aid in Vietnam during the 1987–2019 period. We apply various modern econometric techniques, including the multivariate Wavelet model and an extended time-varying vector autoregression (TVP-VAR). By using the multivariate wavelet model, we find that there are cycles of period 3–4 years in the 1988–1992 sample and 18–25 years in the 1985–2001 and 1989–2009 sample for the nexus between foreign aid growth and nonrenewable, renewable energy consumption. The region (from 1989 to 1992) implies that changes in foreign aid adversely led to changes in renewable energy consumption. In those regions, the phase (1993–2005) suggests the anti-phase relation with renewable consumption leading. The phase (2006–2011) implies that changes in foreign aid adversely led to changes in renewable energy consumption. By using an extended TVP-VAR, we reveal that nearly 61% of error variance within the system stems from idiosyncratic effects. We demonstrate that there are changes in the roles of foreign aid over time. Foreign aid plays a role as a net transmitter of shocks from 1988 to 2003 and net transmitter of shocks from 1988 to 2003 and transforms into a net receiver of shocks from 2004 to 2019. In 1989, foreign aid also transmits the greatest shocks to the use of renewable energy. Furthermore, from 1988 to 1995, nonrenewable energy shocks affect the inflows of foreign aid, which then acts as a shock transmitter of these shock to the economy since 1995.

Background and Purpose: Management Commitment to Service Quality (MSCQ) has been found to positively predict employee’s service quality and service behaviors in different service industries. In the context of sharing economy, the relationship between company and service providers is different from traditional employment relationship. For car-hailing service, drivers are mainly classified as contractors rather than employees. It is, therefore, necessary to understand whether MSCQ influences drivers’ service quality in a car-hailing context.

This article is the first to examine whether bribery hurts or promotes policy consistency for firms confronting institutional and credit constraints by using World Bank Enterprise Surveys covering 104 developing countries from 2002 to 2006. By using the questionnaire that is only available in the 2002-2006 survey, policy consistency is measured by firms' perception of the degree of consistency in officials' interpretation of the law. Bribery reduces the consistency of policy implementation. The adverse impact of bribery on policy consistency is evident only in lower-income countries. Green knowledge sharing and behaviors are vital for organizations to implement green supply chain management and promote green entrepreneurship. These solutions support firms to understand market and customer needs through which they are able to carry out the practices which strengthen their sustainability. By realizing the significance, the research develops a model which integrates the concept of green supply chain management, green entrepreneurship, and sustainable development goals. The framework also builds to evaluate the moderating role of green knowledge sharing and employee green behavior. Proposed hypotheses are tested in the sample Vietnamese textile managers, and PLS-SEM methodology was employed to evaluate the model reliability, validity, and association among constructs. Generated results reveal the positive impact of green supply chain and green entrepreneurship on sustainable environment, and results also reveal that green knowledge sharing and employee green behavior both have the potential of being a moderator which enhances the relationship among outlined constructs. The revelation provides important insights for organizations to look into these parameters in order to achieve sustainability in a longer run. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article considers the theoretical proposals of Vietnamese revolutionary leader and president Ho Chi Minh for fair, equal, democratic and peaceful policies in international relations. Ho Chi Minh envisioned the struggle for basic national rights, for fairness and for real equality among nations as the struggle for a new international peaceful world order. This order is based upon equal participation and democratic fairness, a situation in which all the nations must participate in. The author says war or any other conflicts in the international arena must be founded on these principles.
