5. Soft skills vs. Hard skills – Challanges in Educational Process

In a modern society, the importance of successful interaction with others and the establishment of quality professional and personal relationships are becoming increasingly apparent. Therefore, when trying to define the basic competencies that need to be developed during compulsory education, social competence was recognized as one of the key ones. Social competence shares common characteristics with the so-called soft skills, but it is also a part of an emotional intelligence, and includes knowledge and reflection about one's own feelings when making good decisions in life, but also the ability to lead other people. The development of soft skills should therefore begin at the earliest age of a child's life, when it is natural for children to adopt certain behaviors (soft skills) adapted to their age, and to upgrade these skills through further education (high school, college) and extracurricular activities (sport, art). The education system is mostly focused on learning professional information and not soft skills. Students, technical professions for example, mostly learn how to become an engineer, and are less focused on the importance of soft skills. Therefore, it is necessary to place greater emphasis on teamwork on smaller projects and their public presentation. Without soft skills, every graduate engineer faces with new challenges in their professional life if they do not know how to communicate effectively, work in a team, think critically and solve the problems. Today, a quality employee is one who possesses emotional maturity that enables him to successfully deal with complex tasks and risks, short deadlines and pressures (adapts to new situations), possesses leadership skills and at the same time has excellent communication skills and is empathetic towards colleagues in the workplace environment.

6. Increasing the Performance of Computer Numerical Control Machine via the Dhouib-Matrix-4 Metaheuristic

The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine represents a turning point in today's production which has high requirements for product accuracy. The CNC machine enables a high flexibility in work and time saving and also reduces the time required for product accuracy control. Moreover, the CNC machine is used for several activities, most often for turning, drilling and milling operations. Usually, the productivity of any CNC machine can be increased considering the minimization of the non- productive tool movement. In this paper, the results of a new metaheuristic named Dhouib-Matrix-4 (DM4) with an application on the NP-hard problem based on the Traveling Salesman Problem are presented. DM4 is used for increasing the performance of the CNC Machine by optimizing a tool path length in the drilling process performed on the CNC milling machine. The proposed algorithm (DM4) achieves a solution closed to the optimum, compared with the results obtained with others standard methods.

Today, in the technical application, synthetic polymer materials are largely represented due to the many advantages of its properties. Polymers are becoming more and more in use as construction materials in various areas (for example in the construction of parts of transport vehicles, manufacturing of various products in general mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, households, etc.). However, in addition to all these advantages, we must not forget today's limitation of natural resources, as well as the importance of waste management, and also the possibilities and availability of recycling processes of individual materials, both metals and plastics. Every country in the world strives to protect nature and preserve the environment, and also in the Republic of Croatia has made a significant step forward in that field, especially because the obligation of Republic of Croatia to join to the European Union (EU) was to harmonize our legislation with EU legislation, and it is undoubtedly that legal solutions will continue to develop and improve. Considering that the Republic of Croatia has opted for the adoption of guidelines for sustainable development, which include the provision of economic development but also the protection of natural resources, additional efforts must be made to meet the interests of the economy while at the same time respecting the laws related to environmental protection. Therefore, in this paper, attempts are made to reconcile the contradictory goals and give answers to the questions of how to produce plastics and thereby be competitive on the market, while also respecting the laws with an emphasis on preservation and environmental protection.

U radu se daje opis i karakteristike suvremenih sustava za upravljanje imovinom poduzeća (EAM) podržanih IT tehnologijama. Korištenjem ovih sustava unapređuje se sustav upravljanja održavanjem. Analizom problema iz realnog proizvodnog okruženja analizirana je mogućnost korištenja EAM sustava. Opisan je konkretan kvar s prijedlogom varijanti rješenja. Kroz postupak vrednovanja odabrano je optimalno rješenje po kriteriju cijene a koje se koriste i u tehnološkom postupku plinskog naštrcavanja. Kratko je opisan tehnološki postupak sanacije oštećenog vratila. Definirani su svi realni resursi koji su potrebiti za sanaciju i popravak, a kroz pristup korektivnog održavanja. Analizom potrebitih podataka i resursa, korištenjem EAM sustava simuliran je cjeloviti proces rješavanja kvara. Na konkretnom primjeru istražena je mogućnost implementacije EAM sustava i prednosti koji se mogu ostvariti na poslovima korektivnog održavanja.

With the main aim of selecting the optimal supplier of plastic joinery, in the present study two well-known multiple criteria decision making methods, namely Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) methodology and additive method, were applied. Four alternatives, i.e., four suppliers were evaluated according to the suggested criteria: price, delivery time and after-treatment following the installation of joinery. The results obtained by the AHP methodology and additive method were compared, and conclusions on the effect of each criterion weight were adopted.

U radu je analizirana organizacija održavanja u poduzeću „Saint Jean Industries“ d.o.o. iz Slavonskog Broda sa osvrtom na plan održavanja odnosno strategije održavanja koje se unutar poduzeća primjenjuju. Za odabrani objekt održavanja izvršena je analiza realnih i potrebitih podataka te resursa za simulaciju izrade plana preventivnog održavanja. Nakon analiziranja aktivnosti i određivanja potrebnih resursa, u eksperimentalnom dijelu rada izrađen je plan preventivnog održavanja u informacijskom sustavu održavanja MP2 Professional. Koristeći EAM – MP2 Professional prati se plan preventivnog održavanja uz analizu učinkovitosti upravljanja održavanjem putem različitih izvještaja i grafičkih prikaza.

Sukladno pravnom okviru kojim se regulira tržište plina u Republici Hrvatskoj, opskrbljivači plinom imaju obavezu nominirati korištenje transportnog sustava na dnevnoj bazi. Pored toga stvarna potrošnja plina na dnevnoj bazi mora biti unutar propisanih tolerancija odstupanja od nominacije kako bi transportni sustav prirodnog plina bio u ravnoteži. Opskrbljivači za potrošnju plina koja nije unutar propisane tolerancije moraju plaćati penale. Kako bi se održala ekonomičnost ili povećala dobit opskrbljivača plinom nužno je što točnije nominirati korištenje transportnog sustava na dnevnoj bazi. Na temelju skupa podataka dnevnih srednjih temperatura i potrošnje prirodnog plina za zadnjih pet godina u jednoj hrvatskoj županiji, empirijski su određene funkcije koje aproksimiraju potrošnju prirodnog plina. Za četiri različite vrste dvodimenzionalnih parametarskih model-funkcija: model Fourierove serije, model polinoma, Gaussov model i model sume sinusa su određeni koeficijenti (parametri) koji omogućuju zapisivanje model- funkcija kao funkcija predviđanja odnosno krivulja koje aproksimiraju potrošnju prirodnog plina. Za svaku funkciju predviđanja su dani kvalitativni i kvantitativni pokazatelji za godišnje i višegodišnje aproksimacije potrošnje prirodnog plina. Dobivene funkcije predviđanja su se pokazale kao dobri orijentacijski alati pri prognoziranju stvarne potrošnje prirodnog plina za navedeno područje.

15. Tool path optimization of drilling sequence using genetic algorithm

This paper presents the approach of searching for the optimal tool path during drilling. The solution is obtained using the genetic algorithm where the drilling sequence optimization problem is reduced to the Travelling Salesman Problem. The genetic algorithm is used in order to minimize the path length, i.e. to reduce the total time of the tool path. The results achieved by the criterion of minimum tool path ultimately lead to savings of the technological time and decrease of the total cost of production. The solution of the problem was achieved using the MATLAB software, while the program code was designed for the selected technological task of drilling. The achieved software solution was simulated by the EMCO WinNC program for the Sinumerik 840D Mill control unit.

U radu se daje kratka analiza mjesta i uloge sustava za upravljanje imovinom u konceptu suvremene organizacije poduzeća. U kontekstu održavanja analiziraju se specifičnosti opreme koja služi za eksploataciju (bušenje) plina i nafte. Za odabrani objekt održavanja daje se kratki tehnički opis uz oblikovanje tehnologije korektivnog i preventivnog održavanja s analizom potrebitih resursa. Za simulaciju unapređenja aktivnosti održavanja koristi se sustav za upravljanje imovinom podržan informatičkim tehnologijama. Koristeći odabranu programsku podršku, izrađuje se plan preventivnog održavanja te se prikazuje realizacija pristupa korektivnog i preventivnog održavanja. Posebni naglasak je na troškovno učinkovitom održavanju ostvarenom uz korištenje sustava za upravljanje imovinom.

The possibility of connecting the educational robot system and the pneumatic equipment in the Laboratory for Computer Integrated Manufacturing to increase the quality of education of students, was explored in this paper. The problems were analyzed, and the objectives in the realization of integration of robot and pneumatic equipment (in the design of automated device for drilling) were set. The method of forming assembly support was proposed, and the algorithmic and software solution for the given technological problem were given. In the experimental part of the paper, the proposed assembly was tested. According to the accepted solution, a simulation of software solution on the pneumatic control system (FluidSIM-Festo) was conducted. The proposed solutions were tested and connected into an integrated unit, i.e., the robot operation was synchronised with the electropneumatic equipment.

Za unos podataka u informacijski sustav MP2 Professional korišteni su realni podaci službe održavanja pogona „Čips“. Po unosu i oblikovanju Plana preventivnog održavanja izvršena je simulacija rada odjavom odnosno realizacijom pojedinih radnih naloga preventivnog održavanja uz troškovnu analizu plana.

U radu je dan kratki opis korektivnog održavanja s pregledom nekoliko slučajeva radnih naloga. Opisani su opći atributi radnog naloga održavanja. U radu je analizirana moguća primjena različitih informacijskih sustava kao podrške pri realizaciji aktivnosti korektivnog održavanja. U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada, za konkretne radne naloge, izvršena je simulacija u različitim informacijskim sustavima (Infor EAM MP2 i Microsoft Dynamics NAV). Kroz ostvarene rezultate pokazana je mogućnost primjene informacijskih sustava uz prikaz prednosti koje se ostvaruju implementacijom ovih sustava podržanih suvremenim informatičkim tehnologijama.

22. Application of WinCAM system in the education process

A short description of CAD/CAM systems used for programming of CNC machines, as well as the influence on the production processes, are given in this paper. The role of teaching the students how to use CAD/CAM systems (with special emphasis on CAM systems) is also explained. A classification of these systems is given from the standpoint of the historic development. The basics of CAM systems, as well as their application, are illustrated with an example of WinCAM system for the milling process. The typical steps from design of the workpiece to the machining are shown in the experimental part. After the designing of the workpiece in the CAD mode (with previously defined parameters in the CAM mode), and together with interactive work and simulation of machining in the WinCAM system by using the postprocessor, a milling program was generated for the control unit Sinumerik 810/820, on a chosen technological task.

Za opisani objekt održavanja oblikuje se tehnologija planskog popravka - remonta te se analiziraju potrebiti resursi za izradu plana remonta. Koristeći odabranu programsku podršku, izrađuje se plan remonta za odabrani objekt održavanja te oblikuje plan praćenja remontnih aktivnosti.

24. Projektiranje tehnologije izrade držača prema crtežu PD1

U ovom diplomskom radu nastojao se prikazati jedan cjeloviti put izradbe predmeta i konstrukcije alata. U konkretnom slučaju to se odnosi na projektiranje tehnologije izradbe držača prema crtežu PD1. Razmatrati će se dvije varijante izradbe držača. U prvoj varijanti izraditi će se serija od 500 komada probijanjem i prosijecanjem na laseru, dok će se u drugoj varijanti razmatrati izradba serije od 80000 komada na alatu za probijanje i prosijecanje. Pored probijanja i prosijecanja vršiti će se i savijanje na odgovarajućem alatu. Pored projektiranja tehnologije za pojedine varijante i konstrukcije alata, potrebno je izvršiti i kritičko ispitivanje izrađevine, te njene tehničke mogućnosti i to u pogledu konfiguracije, materijala, dopuštenih odstupanja, dimenzija i geometrijskog oblika. Također su prikazani i opisani strojevi na kojima će se raditi. Vrijeme izradbe, kao i cijena koštanja, izrađeni su na osnovu iskustvenih i orijentacijskih podataka iz literature i proizvodnje.

Važnost alatnih strojeva u današnjem svijetu je nemjerljiva i moderni svijet je bez njih nezamisliv, stoga se danas ulažu ogromni napori i sredstva u razvoj istih. Tako je i tema ovog završnog rada metodički razvoj stroja za glodanje profila. Dakle cilj ovoga rada je načelima metodičkog razvoja proizvoda stvoriti učinkovit, funkcionalan i isplativ stroj za glodanje različitih oblika na metalnim profilima. Kao kod svakog uređaja i stroja tako i kod ovoga potrebno je sa što manje utrošene energije obaviti što veći rad. U uvodnom dijelu je dan kratak opis kopirnih glodalica, dok je u drugom dijelu kratko opisan proces obrade glodanjem. Razvoj stroja za glodanje je proveden postupkom metodičkog razvoja proizvoda koji obuhvaća: postavljanje liste zahtjeva i želja, proračun sila rezanja, proračun snage i momenta rezanja, formiranje funkcionalne strukture, formiranje morfološke kutije, opis i prikaz konstruiranih varijanti u CAD programu Inventor professional 2023, te naposljetku tehničko i ekonomsko vrednovanje varijanti i odabir povoljnije varijante. Na kraju rada se nalaze prilozi s radioničkim crtežima komponenata odabrane varijante., Machine tools are of utmost importance nowadays. As the modern world would be inconceivable without them, huge efforts and resources are being invested in their development. Thus, the topic of this final assignment is the methodical development of a profile milling machine. The goal of the paper is to create an efficient, functional, and cost-effective machine for the milling of different shapes on metal profiles, namely following the principles of methodical product development. As is the case with any device or machine, it is necessary to do as much work as possible with as little energy as possible. The introductory part provides a brief description of copy milling machines, while the second part briefly describes the milling process. Point three covers the methodical development of products. This begins with the creation of a list of demands and wishes and is followed by the calculation of the cutting force, power and torque, as well as by the functional structure, morphological box, and the description and display of the constructed variants in the Inventor professional 2023 CAD program, and finally by the technical and economic valuation of variants and the selection of the most favorable variant. The final part of the paper includes attachments with manufacturing component drawings for the selected variant.

U završnom radu izvršen je proračun i dimenzioniranje elemenata sustava za hlađenje smjese mono-etilen glikola i vode na temperaturu od -35°C. U teoretskom dijelu rada dan je uvod u tehniku hlađenja i primjenu rashladnih uređaja u današnje vrijeme. Prikazan je tehnički osvrt na osnovne komponente rashladnog ciklusa. U praktičnom dijelu rada definirani su svi projektni ulazni parametri na osnovu kojih je izvršen proračun i dimenzioniranje sustava. Na osnovu proračuna transmisijskih dobitaka rashladne posude i potrebnog kapaciteta za hlađenje mješavine smjese mono-etilen glikola i vode na temperaturu od -35°C, izrađen je proračun i dimenzioniranje mirnog isparivača izvedenog od bakrene cijevi. Dimenzionirani su i odabrani termo-ekspanzijski ventil i kondenzacijska jedinica s kompresorom i kondenzatorom. Konačno, dano je idejno rješenje izgleda rashladnog sustava za duboko hlađenje., In this final thesis, the calculation and dimensioning of the elements of the system for cooling the mixture of mono-ethylene glycol and water to a temperature of -35°C was carried out. In the theoretical part of the work, an introduction to the refrigeration techniques and the use of cooling devices in today's time is given. A technical overview of the basic components of the refrigeration cycle is presented. In the practical part of the work, all the input parameters of the project were defined, based on which the calculation and dimensioning of the system was performed. Based on the calculation of the transmission heat gains of the cooling vessel and the necessary capacity to cool the mixture of mono -ethylene glycol and water to a temperature of -35°C, the calculation and sizing of the evaporator, made of copper pipes, is presented. Proizvodnja i upotreba proizvoda su ljudske aktivnosti koje se zasnivaju na određenoj potrošnji energije i materijala te kao takve, u znatnoj mjeri utječu na kvalitetu okoliša i života na Zemlji. Trenutna stopa industrijskog razvoja, rast broja stanovnika i težnja za boljom kvalitetom života stanovništva imaju negativan utjecaj na okoliš koji je svakim danom sve izraženiji. Utjecaji proizvoda, tj. materijala na okoliš, danas se često proučavaju pomoću metodologije kao što je npr. tehnika Analize životnog ciklusa (eng. Life-cycle analysis-LCA). LCA metoda istražuje cijeli životni ciklus nekog proizvoda (od proizvodnje sirovog materijala do odlaganja ili recikliranja na kraju životnog vijeka proizvoda ) i procjenjuje njegov utjecaj na okolinu. Međutim, LCA je isključivo alat za procjenu i međusobnu usporedbu već postojećih proizvoda i ne može se smatrati alatom za ekološki dizajn novog proizvoda. Smatra se da oko 80% „opterećenja“ za okoliš, od strane budućeg proizvoda, nastaje u ranoj fazi dizajna dok se mnoge odluke još uvijek mogu promijeniti. Polazeći od p otrebe da se utjecaj na okoliš uzme u obzir u ranim fazama projektiranja, razvijen je alat za eko-reviziju. Alat za eko-reviziju, koji je središnja točka ovog završnog rada, utjelovljen je u programskom paketu „CES EduPack“. Navedeni alat pruža uvid u sve faze životnog vijeka proizvoda s aspekta utrošene energije i emisije CO2, ali i usmjerava projektante u potrazi za prikladnijim opcijama tijekom procesa eko-dizajna. U ovom završnom radu je prikazan ekološko održivi pristup metodičkog konstruiranja nosive konstrukcije auto prikolice. Uz metodički pristup, u radu je prikazan proces projektiranja, tj. razrade varijanti nosive konstrukcije automobilske prikolice. Potom je izvršena konstrukcijska razrada nosive konstrukcije auto prikolice. Primjenom CAD (eng. Computer Aided Design) programa predočeno je „utjelovljenje“ proizvoda te kontrola naprezanja i deformacija konstrukcije. The current rate of industrial development, the growth of the population and the desire for a better quality of life of the population have a negative impact on the environment, which is becoming more pronounced every day. The impacts of products, i.e. materials, on the environment are often studied today using a methodology such as the Life-cycle analysis technique (LCA). The LCA method examines the entire life cycle of a product (from the production of raw materials to disposal or recycling at the end of the product's life) and assesses its impact on the environment. However, LCA is exclusively a tool for the evaluation and mutual comparison of alread y existing products and cannot be considered as a tool for the ecological design of a new product. It is considered that about 80% of the "burden" for the environment, from the future product, occurs in the early design phase while many decisions can still be changed. Based on the need to take environmental impact into account at the early stages of design, an eco-audit tool was developed. The tool for eco-auditing, which is the central point of this final work, is embodied in the program package "CES EduPack". The mentioned tool provides an insight into all phases of the product's life cycle in terms of energy consumption and CO 2 emissions, but also guides the designer in the search for more suitable options during the eco-design process. In this fina l paper, an ecologically sustainable approach to the methodical construction of the load -bearing structure of the car trailer is presented. The paper presents the process of designing, i.e. making variants of the load-bearing structure of the car trailer, using a methodical approach. After that, the constructive development of the load-bearing structure of the car trailer was carried out. By applying CAD programs, the "embodiment" of the product and the control of stress and deformation of the structure are shown. The eco-audit tool, implemented in the "CES EduPack" software package, was used to perform an eco -audit of the structure. A review of the entire ecoaudit methodology was also made and conclusions were presented.

U nastavku rada slijedi opis postupka zavarivanja koji se najčešće koriste u brodogradnji. Kako bi se zavario neki spoj potrebno je odrediti položaj zavarivanja, vrstu zavara, podesiti parametre, što je sve navedeno u radu. U praktičnom dijelu rada odabrani su dijelovi opreme broda, koji su potom nacrt ani u programu AutoCAD. Na radioničkim crtežima odabrane opreme prikazano je označavanje zavara koji se koristi u praksi, This final thesis shows the process of ship elements and ship equipment. In the theoretical part of the final thesis, the types of container ships and their cargo, which is given by certain regulations, are explained. In order to weld a joint, it is necessary to determine the welding position, the type of weld, adjust the parameters and everything mentioned in the work. In the practical part of the work, parts of the ship's equipment were selected, which were then drawn in autocad. The workshop drawings of the selected equipment show the marking of welds used in practice.

Tema ovog završnog rada je programsko rješenje sinteze pri projektiranju hibridnih materijala. U uvodnom dijelu će se ukratko osvrnuti na projektiranje hibridnih, odnosno, kompozitnih materijala u teoriji te će biti prikazana i objašnjena sva potrebna svojstva materijala za nastavak rada. Nakon toga slijedi izrada dijagrama tokova za olakšanu izradu programskog koda u programskom paketu „Python“. Programski kod se izrađuje na način da se na temelju dva odabrana materijala proračunavaju vrijednosti svojstava te se na osnovu tih svojstava generiraju dijagrami svojstava materijala. Nakon izrade programskog koda zaključno će se ručnom metodom provjeriti valjanost samog koda., The topic of this final thesis is the software solution of synthesis in the design of hybrid materials. In the introductory part, the design of hybrid, i.e., composite materials in theory will be briefly reviewed, and all necessary material properties will be presented and explained for further work. This is followed by the creation of a flow chart to facilitate the creation of program code in the "Python" program package. The program code is created in such a way that the property values are calculated based on the two selected materials and material property diagrams are generated based on these properties. After creating the program code, the validity of the code itself will be checked by manual method.

U završnom radu predloženo je idejno rješenje i dimenzioniran je sustav Reynoldsovog eksperimenta koji će se koristiti u edukacijske svrhe. U uvodnom dijelu rada objašnjena je važnost Reynoldsovog eksperimenta i Reynoldsovog broja pri definiranju laminarnog i turbulentnog strujanja, te su dani primjeri primjene Reynoldsovog broja u praksi. Nadalje je prikazan i objašnjen sustav za izvođenje eksperimenta kao i način provedbe eksperimenta. Uz pomoć metodologija metodičkog razvoja proizvoda odabrana je najpovoljnija varijanta uređaja za daljnji razvoj. U sljedećem koraku izvršena je razrada odabranog prijedloga pomoću pripadajućih proračuna i tehničko-nacrtne dokumentacije, te odabir materijala pojedinih elemenata. Uz to su odabrani načini upravljanja i mjerenja radnih parametara sustava. Na kraju su izneseni zaključci o predloženom sustavu Reynoldsovog eksperimenta., In the final work constructing of Reynolds experiment apparatus for educational purposes has been conducted. In the introduction part, the importance of Reynolds experiment and Reynolds number while defining laminar and turbulent flow has been explained, also, examples of use of Reynolds number in practice have been listed. Furthermore, Reynolds experiment apparatus has been presented and explained, so as the way the experiment is conducted. By using some of the methods of methodical product development, most suitable variant for further development was chosen. The following step was elaboration of the chosen variant by conducting suitable calculations and technical design documentation and materials for elements were chosen. Afterwards, methods of regulation and measurement of working parameters were chosen. In the end, conclusions about constructed and designed apparatus were presented.

Provedeno je dimenzioniranje statički određene konstrukcije i izračun progiba i zakreta odabranog presjeka konstrukcije pomoću drugog Castiglianova teorema. Pomoću drugog Castiglianova teorema određene su unutarnje sile statički neodređene konstrukcije te je dana usporedba između dobivenih vrijednosti. U završnom dijelu rada prikazan je postupak provedene strukturalne analize u programu Autodesk Inventor kojim su također određene vrijednosti unutarnjih sila te je izvršena usporedba dobivenih rezultata., In this work paper, the calculation of the statically determinate and statically indeterminate planar-spatial construction is performed. The introductory chapter briefly describes planarspatial constructions, it shows the difference between statically determinate and statically indeterminate constructions, and it briefly describes the importance and need of the strength theories. The dimensioning of a statically determinate construction is performed and the calculation of deflection and rotation of the selected cross section of the construction is performed using the second Castigliano theorem. Using Castigliano’s second theorem, the internal forces for a statically indeterminate structure are determined and a comparison between the obtained values is given. In the final part of the paper, the structural analysis is performed in the software Autodesk Inventor. The internal forces are determined and a comparison between the values is given.

Zadatak ovog završnog rada je izvršiti proračun jednogredne mosne dizalice. U prvom dijelu bit će ukratko opisane mosne dizalice i njihova primjena. Sljedeći dio zadatka prikazuje određivanje opterećenja mosnog nosača dizalice, gdje je pri konstruiranju odabran standardan toplo valjani profil koji zadovoljava zadane uvjete čvrstoće i krutosti. Zatim je prikazan proračun čeonih nosača izrađenih iz standardnih toplo valjanih limova. Kod čeonih nosača napravljen je i proračun zavarenih spojeva, vijčanog spoja s mosnim nosačem, te osovine kotača čeonih nosača. Dalje je u zadatku potrebno napraviti izbor uzdužnih i vertikalnih nosača, tako da oni zadovoljavaju zadane uvjete čvrstoće i krutosti. Zbog stabilnosti vertikalnih nosača postavljen je oslonac na sredini od ukupne duljine nosača, da bi smanjili duljinu izvijanja, a samim time i povećali njihovu nosivost. Pri izboru kuke korišten je „DIN 15 404-1“ standard, gdje je bitno odabrati kuku tako da ona zadovoljava zadane uvjete sigurnosti i čvrstoće. Kod izbora užeta korišten je „EN 12385“ standard. Elektromotor je odabran na temelju snage potrebne za jednoliko podizanje, spuštanje tereta. Na kraju je izvršena „FEM“ analiza mosnog nosača s koje se može vidjeti da je nosač pravilno konstruiran., The task of this thesis is to execute the calculation of an overhead single-girder bridge crane. In the first part, there will be a short description of overhead bridge cranes and their uses. The next part of the task is to determine the loads of the bridge beam made out of hot rolled steel, that satisfy the given strength and deformation limits. Next it is shown the calculation of the trucks made by welding standard hot rolled sheets. For the trucks, the calculation of the welds, screw connection with the bridge beam and the shaft of the wheels is shown. Next, the calculation of the longitudinal and vertical beams is made so that they satisfy the given strength and deformation limits. For the stability of the vertical beam, there is a support at the half of the beam length, so that the deflection is lowered and, at the same time, the capacity of the beam is increased. The crane hook was selected using the „DIN 15 404-1" standard, where it is important that the hook satisfies given safety and strength limits. The rope was selected using the „EN 12385“ standard. The electric motor is selected based on the power needed for uniform lifting and lowering of the load. In the end, the „FEM" analysis of the bridge beam is made, where it is shown that the beam is properly constructed.

34. INFLUENCE OF AIR HUMIDITY ON THE COOLING CAPACITY OF A HEAT PUMP

U ovom radu demonstriran je utjecaj vlage sadržane u zraku na rashladni učinak dizalice topline. U uvodnom dijelu rada objašnjen je utjecaj sadržaja vlage u zraku na rad sustava klimatizacije, opisan je pripadajući prijenos topline i tvari tijekom hlađenja vlažnog zraka, te je demonstriran način upotrebe dijagrama za vlažni zrak koji se koristi u praksi. Na kraju uvodnog dijela dan je tehnički opis postojećeg laboratorijskog sustava za klimatizaciju zajedno s pripadajućom opremom. U praktičnom dijelu završnog rada prikazani su rezultati mjerenja radnih parametara laboratorijskog sustava za klimatizaciju. Rezultati dobiveni mjerenjem grafički su prikazani u “Mollierovom“ dijagramu za vlažni zrak, te su izvršeni pripadajući proračuni u svrhu obrade rezultata mjerenja. Proračunom je demonstriran utjecaj sadržaja vlage u zraku na omjer izmijenjene osjetne i latentne topline tijekom procesa hlađenja i odvlaživanja zraka u prostoru., In this paper, the influence of moisture contained in the air on the cooling effect of the heat pump is demonstrated. The introductory part of the paper explains the influence of air moisture content on the operation of air conditioning systems, describes the associated heat and mass transfer during humid air cooling, and demonstrates how to use the humid air diagram used in practice. At the end of the introductory part, a technical description of the existing laboratory air conditioning system is given together with the associated equipment. In the practical part of the final paper, the results of measuring the operating parameters of the laboratory air conditioning system are presented. The results obtained by the measurement are graphically presented in the "Mollier" diagram for humid air, and the corresponding calculations were performed for the purpose of processing the measurement results. The calculation demonstrates the influence of the moisture content in the air on the ratio of the changed sensible and latent heat during the process of cooling and dehumidifying the air in the room.

U uvodnim poglavljima su opisane osnove gibanja krutog tijela: translacija, rotacija i ravninsko gibanje. Zadani mehanizam je rastavljen na pojedinačne dijelove i određena su gibanja štapova i klizača. Vrši se kinematička i dinamička analiza mehanizma. Za kinematičku analizu kao prva opcija proračuna je korišten koordinatni sustav. Pomoću sustava su izračunate parametarske jednadžbe, deriviranjem tih jednadžbi dobivene su formule za proračun brzina i ubrzanja karakterističnih točki. Provjera rezultata odrađena je metodom plana brzina i ubrzanja. Napravljen je vektorski zapis mehanizma, te podjela na dva štapa. Prvi štap ima rotacijsko gibanje dok drugi ravninsko gibanje. Jednadžbe za pojedine brzine i ubrzanja karakterističnih točki su izvedene pomoću mjerenja i zbroja vektora. Dinamička analiza je izvršena izračunom reakcijskih sila u ovisnosti o kutu . Za izračun je potrebno izračunati reakcije sila na klizaču D pa preko zglobova sve do kraja mehanizma s završetkom u zglobu A (slika 3.1). Verification of the results was done by the use of velocity and acceleration plans. A vector notation of the mechanism was made, and the division into two rods. The first rod has a rotational motion while the second a plane motion. Equations for individual velocities and accelerations of characteristic points were made by using measurements and the sum of vectors. The dynamic analysis was performed by calculating the reaction forces depending on the angle . For the calculation, it is necessary to calculate the force reactions on the slider D and over the joints all the way to the end of the mechanism ending in the joint A (Picture 3.1). By comparing the two methods, greater accuracy of the calculation is enabled and the flexibility of the work itself.

Tema ovog rada je pokazati kako se može doći do konstrukcijskog rješenja putem metodičkog principa konstruiranja za polimerni proizvod. U teorijskom dijelu dat je osvrt na metodičko konstruiranje proizvoda, sve pripadajuće stavke kroz koje je potrebno proći u takvom procesu, a zatim i konkretno konstruiranje polimernih proizvoda. Poseban naglasak dat je na tehnologičnom oblikovanju polimernih proizvoda, pravilima koja su važna za konstrukciju i njihovu izvedbu. Opisana je upotreba polimernih zatvarača, njihova primjena, načini proizvodnje i reciklaže. U praktičnom dijelu rada izrađen je 3D model optimalnog konstrukcijskog rješenja, proračun te analiza svih pratećih parametara prilikom izrade. The topic of this paper is to show how a design solution can be reached through the methodological principle of design for a polymer product. The theoretical part gives an overview of the methodical construction of products, all the associated items that need to go through in such a process, and then the specific construction of polymer products. Special emphasis is given to the technological design of polymer products, rules that are important for construction and their performance. The use of polymer closures, their application, production and recycling methods are described. In the practical part of the paper, a 3D model of the optimal construction solution, calculation and stress analysis by the finite element method were made.

Pod pojam tolerancije podrazumijeva se dopušteno odstupanje od nazivne mjere. U ovom radu navedene su metode potrebne za ispitivanje odstupanja od dopuštenih tolerancija oblika i položaja. U okviru ovoga rada izvršeno je mjerenje na praktičnom uzorku (osovini). Mjerenje u praktičnom djelu je provedeno na osovini za prihvat alata i opisani su postupci mjerenja kao i korišteni mjerni instrumenti i uređaji., In this final paper tolerances of geometry and position and tolerances of length measurements are described according to the requirements of ISO 1101:2012 and ISO 286-2:2010 standards. The term tolerance refers to the permitted deviation from the nominal measurement. The paper describes the methods required for testing deviations from the permitted shape and position tolerances. As part of this work, a measurement was made on a practical sample (shaft). The measurement in the practical part was carried out on the tool holder shaft and the measurement procedures as well as the used measuring instruments and devices were described.

U ovom završnom radu proveden je proračun statički određene i statički neodređene rešetkaste konstrukcije. U uvodnom dijelu kratko su opisani rešetkasti nosači i način određivanja statičke određenosti. Na jednostavnom primjeru prikazane su metode putem kojih se određuju uzdužne sile u štapovima. Napravljen je proračun uzdužnih sila za zadane rešetkaste nosače. Za statički određen nosač uzdužne sile su određene metodom čvorova, a za statički neodređen nosač korištena je metoda sila. Na osnovu izračunatih vrijednosti uzdužnih sila provedeno je dimenzioniranje poprečnih presjeka štapova s obzirom na uvjet čvrstoće te je za tlačno opterećene štapove dodatno provedena provjera na izvijanje. Nakon toga napravljen je proračun i dimenzioniranje čvornog lima proizvoljno odabranog čvora statički određenog nosača. U posljednjem dijelu rada provedena je numeričke analiza pomoću softvera Ansys APDL čime su provjerena analitički određena rješenja uzdužnih sila u štapovima. Dodatno su određeni i pomaci čvorova statički određene i neodređene rešetke na osnovu kojih je dana usporedba krutosti promatranih rešetki., In this paper, the calculation of a statically determine and statically indeterminate truss girder is performed. The introductory section describes what a truss girder is and the method to establish the static determination. The methods for determining the axial forces in the rods are described on a simple example. The calculation of the axial forces in rod elements was made for a given load. For the statically determinate truss girder the axial forces are obtained throughmethod of joints, while for a statically indeterminate truss girder, method of forces was used. Based on the calculated values of axial forces, the sizing of the cross section of the rods was performed with regard to the strength condition and for the pressure loaded rods, an additional buckling check was performed. After that the calculation and dimensioning of the node sheet of an arbitrarily selected node were performed. In the last part of the paper, numerical analysis was performed using software Ansys APDL by which the analytical determined solutions were checked. Additionally, the displacements of the nodes were determined, and a comparison was given between the stiffness of the truss girders.

U završnom radu prikazana je razlika u proizvodnji električne energije između nepomičnog i pomičnog fotonaponskog sustava. U teoretskom dijelu završnog rada objašnjen je fotonaponski efekt i princip rada fotonaponskih pretvornika, te je kroz razvoj fotonaponskih pretvornika prikazano i povećanje njihove učinkovitosti. Definirane su osnovne podjele fotonaponskih sustava, s posebnim naglaskom na nepomične i pomične fotonaponske sustave. U praktičnom dijelu završnog rada detaljno je opisan laboratorijski sustav solarnog „trackera“ s pripadajućom mjernom opremom. S obzirom da solarni „tracker“ može raditi u nepomičnom i pomičnom režimu rada, izvršeno je mjerenje proizvodnje električne energiju u oba navedena režima rada. Podaci o dozračenoj sunčevoj energiji, radni parametri sustava, proizvedenoj električnoj energiji i učinkovitosti sustava prikazani su u grafičkom i tabličnom obliku, te međusobno uspoređeni., The final paper presents the difference in electricity production between fixed and solar-tracker photovoltaic system. In the theoretical part of the final paper, the photovoltaic effect and the principle of operation of photovoltaic converters are explained, and the increase of their efficiency is shown through the development of photovoltaic converters. The basic divisions of photovoltaic systems are defined, with special emphasis on fixed and solar-tracker photovoltaic systems. In the practical part of the final work, the laboratory system of the solar "tracker" with the corresponding measuring equipment is described in detail. Since the solar "tracker" can operate in fixed and tracking mode, the measurement of electricity production in both of these modes was performed. Data on radiated solar energy, operating parameters of the system, produced electricity and system efficiency are presented in graphical and tabular form, and compared with each other.

U radu je prikazana upotreba Mollierovog i psihrometrijskog dijagrama za vlažni zrak u praktične svrhe. U teoretskom dijelu rada objašnjen je pojam vlažnog zraka uz prikaz pripadajućih jednadžbi za izračun osnovnih paramet ara. Također su prikazani dijagrami vlažnog zraka koji se koriste u praksi, i to Mollierov i psihrometrijski dijagram, te je demonstriran način očitanja željenih veličina vlažnog zraka. U praktičnom dijelu završnog rada demonstrirana je primjena Mollierovog i psihrometrijskog dijagrama za vlažni zrak, pri čemu su pokazani načini prikaza i očitanja željenih veličina vlažnog zraka za procese grijanja, hlađenja bez izdvajanja vlage, hlađenja s izdvajanjem vlage, miješanja dvaju zračnih struja, ovlaživanja zraka vodom, te primjer procesa klimatizacije zraka., In this undergraduate thesis the use of Mollier and psychrometric diagram for practical purposes is presented. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the concept of humid air is explained with the presentation of the corresponding equations for the calculation of basic parameters. The humid air diagrams used in practice are also presented, namely Mollier and psychrometric diagram, and the method of reading the desired hu mid air properties is demonstrated. In the practical part of the undergraduate thesis, the application of Mollier and psychrometric diagrams for humid air is demonstrated, showing the ways of displaying and reading the desired values of humid air for heating, cooling without removing moisture, cooling with removing moisture, mixing two air currents, humidifying air with water and an example of an air conditioning process.

U ovom radu izvršen je proračun tri različite varijante okvirnog nosača, pri čemu su dva statički određena, a jedan statički neodređen. Kod navedenih varijanti, dimenzije okvira su iste kao i vanjsko opterećenje, a razlika je u način oslanjanja nosača. U uvodnom dijelu radu kratko je opisano što je to okvirni nosač i koji se koordinatni sustav koristi prilikom određivanja reakcija u osloncima, a koji prilikom određivanja unutarnjih sila i momenata. U drugom poglavlju proveden je proračun unutarnjih sila za sve tri varijante te su nacrtani dijagrami unutarnjih sila i momenata. Dodatno je za izračun reakcija sila statički neodređenog nosača korišten Castiglianov teorem. U posljednjem poglavlju provedeno je dimenzioniranje nosača i odabir odgovarajućih profila te je dana usporedba između promatranih varijanti s obzirom na dobivene vrijednosti unutarnjih sila i odabrane profile., In this paper, the calculation of three different variants of the portal frame was performed, where two variants are statically determinate and one is statically indeterminate. In these variants, the dimensions of the frame are same as well as external loads, and the difference is in the way that portal frame is supported. In the introduction part, it is briefly described what portal frame is and which coordinate system is used when determining reactions in supports, and which when determining internal forces. In the second chapter, the calculation of the internal forces for all three variants was performed and diagrams of internal forces and moments are drawn. In the last part of the paper, the sizing of the portal frame and selection of the suitable profil es was performed and the comparison between variants was given with respect to the values of internal forces and selected profiles.

Ovaj završni rad na temu automatskog upravljanja pametnom kućom (smart home) ima naglasak na sustav za upravljanje stambenim objektom s ciljem da se olakša kontrola nad određenim radnjama u istom. Također će se utvrditi mogućnosti koje nudi automatizirani sustav automatizacije u kućanstvu, nabrojati i objasniti će se protokoli koji se koriste, odabrati će se oprema te izraditi upravljački program. Kroz rad će se prikazati primjena samog integriranog sustava, te će biti izrađen funkcionalni mo del (u programu) pametne kuće (smart home-a) uz što će se i opisati pojedini koraci i način rada samog modela. Za samu izradu umrežavanja koristiti će se PLC Siemens LOGO i Logo software comfort, dok će se izrada sustava temeljiti na PLC Siemens LOGO a ne na sustavima kao što su KNX, Z-wave te Zigbee iako će i oni biti opisani u radu., This final paper on the topic of automatic smart home control has an emphasis on the housing controlt system in order to facilitate control over certain actions in it. The possibilities offered by the integrated automation system in the household will be defined, the protocols used will be listed, the equipment will be selected and a driver will be creat ed. Through the work it would be shown the application of the integrated system itself and a functional model (in the program) of the smart home will be created, along with which individual steps and the way the model will function will be described. PLC Siemens LOGO and Logo software comfort will be used for networking, while the system will be based on PLC Siemens LOGO and not on systems such as KNX, Z-wave and Zigbee, although they will also be described in the paper.

U završnom radu prikazan je utjecaj temperature na iskoristivost solarnih fotonaponskih sustava. U tu svrhu korišteni su fotonaponski pretvornici na bazi polikristalnog silicija i tankoslojni fotonaponski pretvornici na bazi kadmij telurida. U teoretskom dijelu završnoga rada objašnjen je utjecaj temperature površine fotonaponskog pretvornika na njegove radne parametre, kao što su napon-jakost struje i snaga. U svrhu kompletnosti teoretskog dijela, opisani su fotonaponski pretvornici na bazi polikristalnog silicija i kadmij telurida, uz prikaz tehničkih podataka i radnih karakteristika. U praktičnom dijelu završnog rada opisana su oba laboratorijska sustava s pripadajućom mjernom opremom. Rezultati mjerenja demonstrirali su rad sustava u realnim uvjetima, pri čemu je poseban naglasak dan na mjerenje temperature površine fotonaponskih pretvornika, uz kontinuirano praćenje njihovih radnih parametara. Podaci dobiveni mjerenjem obrađeni su tabličnim kalkulatorom i prikazani u grafičkom obliku, s posebnim naglaskom na utjecaj temperature na učinkovitosti pretvorbe energije., The final paper presents the influence of temperature on the efficiency of solar photovoltaic systems. For this purpose, photovoltaic panels based on polycrystalline silicon and thin-film photovoltaic panel based on cadmium telluride were used. In the theoretical part, the influence of the surface temperature of the photovoltaic panel on its operating parameters, such as voltage-current and power, is explained. For the purpose of completeness of the theoretical part, photovoltaic panels based on polycrystalline silicon and cadmium telluride are described, with a presentation of technical data and operating characteristics. In the practical part of the final paper, both laboratory systems with the corresponding measuring equipment are described. The measurement results demonstrated the operation of the system in real conditions, with special emphasis on measuring the surface temperature of photovoltaic panels, with continuous monitoring of their operating parameters. The data obtained by measurement were processed by a spreadsheet and presented in graphical form, with special emphasis on the relationship between temperature and energy conversion efficiency.

Ovaj završni rad bavi se izradom kompozitnih listova peraja proizvodnim procesom ručnog laminiranja. U uvodnom dijelu rada opisane su vrste, te performanse peraja. Također, opisani su kompozitni materijali s naglaskom na polimere ojačane staklenim i ugljičnim vlaknima koji se koriste za izradu. U praktičnom dijelu rada, prikazan je kompletan proces izrade kompozitnih listova peraja proizvodnim procesom ručnog laminiranja, koji se sastoji od oblikovanja listova, konstrukcije i izrade kalupa, do izrade konačnog proizvoda. U posljednjem poglavlju dana je analiza postignutih rezultata. This final paper deals with the production of composite fin blades by hand lay-up production process. In the initial part of the paper, the type and performance of fins are written. Composite materials with an emphasis on glass and carbon fibre reinforced polymers used for manufacturing are also described. In practical part of the paper, the complete process of making composite fin blades with hand lay-up production process, consisting of desinging fins, construction of mould, is presented until the final product is made. In the last chapter an analysis of the results achieved is presented.

U ovom radu je izvršen proračun rešetkastog nosača zadanog opterećenja za tri različite varijante rešetkastog nosača. U uvodnom dijelu kratko je opisan rešetkasti nosač te su prikazane dvije metode izračunavanja sila u štapovima (metoda čvorova i metoda presjeka). Nakon izvršenog proračuna rešetkastog nosača napravljeno je dimenzioniranje rešetkastog nosača za sve tri varijante kao i kontrola stabilnosti tlačno opterećenih štapova. U zadnjem dijelu rada izvršeno je oblikovanje jednog proizvoljnog čvora rešetkastog nosača za jednu od tri razmatrane varijante., In this paper, a calculation of a lattice girder of a given load for three different variants of a lattice girder is made. The introductory part briefly describes the lattice girder and presents two methods for calculating the forces in the rods (knot method and cross-section method). After the calculation of the lattice girder, the dimensioning of the lattice girder for all three variants was made, as well as the control of the stability of the pressure-loaded rods. In the last part of the paper, an arbitrary node of the lattice girder was designed for one of the three considered variants.

U uvodnom dijelu završnog rada opisana je primjena rešetkastih konstrukcija, te njihova podjela u različite kategorije. Nakon toga je prikazan na jednom nosaču proračun unutarnjih sila metodom čvora. U razradi završnog rada napravljen je proračun konstrukcije krovnog nosača za različite slučajeve opterećenja krova osim vlastite težine pokrova (snijeg, vjetar). Zatim je bilo potrebno izvršiti dimenzioniranje štapova i njihova kontrola na izvijanje u slučajevima da je rešetkasti nosač napravljen od različitih materijala. Uspoređen je utrošak materijala za izradu štapova u odnosu na njihovu cijenu., The introductory part of the final work describes the use of truss structures and their division into different categories. After that, the calculation of the internal forces by a node method is shown on a one truss. In the elaboration of the final work, a calculation of the roof beam construction was made for different cases of roof load in addition to the roof's own weight (snow, wind). Then it was necessary to dimension the rods and check them in a buckling in cases where the truss was made of different materials. The cost of materials used to make the rods was compared to their cost.

U ovom završnom radu istraživat će se materijali s kojima je moguće izraditi krletku. Potrebno je voditi računa da tehnologija izrade bude odgovarajuća za odabrani materijal te isto tako za sam dizajn krletke. U prvom dijelu bit će dan prikaz materijala, tehnologije izrade, izgled dizajna. Za svaki materijal bit će opisana njegova svojstva, prednosti i nedostatci. Navedene tehnologije izrade bit će razrađene u načinu njihove provedbe uz ponuđeni materijal te samu isplativost izrade. U drugom dijelu bit će popraćena kompletna izrada kroz tehničku dokumentaciju i proizvodne postupke, također će biti izvršeno testiranje pokretnih dijelova. Odabrani materijal bit će popraćen odgovarajućim obrazloženjem kako funkcijske tako i financijske isplativosti. Prikazat će se konačni izgled dizajna krletke., In these graduate work will be explored materials with which it´s possible to make a cage. It is necessary to take care that the manufacturing technologies are appropriate for the selected material and also for the design of the cage itself. The first part will describe the materials, manufacturing technologies, design layout. For each material, its properties, advantages and disadvantages will be described. These manufacturing technologies will be developed in the manner of their implementation with the offered material and the cost-effectiveness of production. In the second part, the complete production will be accompanied by technical documentation and production procedures, and testing of moving parts will also be performed. The selected material will be accompanied by an appropriate explanation of both functional and financial viability. The final look of the designer cages will be displayed.

U ovom završnom radu obrađuje se tema procesa izrade radioničke dokumentacije aluminijskog radnog broda, odnosno „Alumenjaka“ Salona Var MARAL 590VRT. Kroz završni rad upoznaje se s osnovnim svojstvima aluminija te usporedbom aluminijske slitine i stakloplastike kao najčešćeg kompozitnog materijala za izgradnju manjih do srednjih brodova. Prikazuje se i proces izrade samog aluminijskog broda te zaključak prednosti aluminijskih naspram brodova izrađenih od stakloplastike. Također, kroz završni rad će se prikazati kompletan proces izrade radioničke dokumentacije broda popraćen fazom 3D modeliranja u računalnom programu SolidWorks, tehnička dokumentacija u obliku radioničkih 2D nacrta u računalnom programu AutoCAD te će se prikazati opis procesa odabira, obrade materijala i zavarivanja komponenata aluminijskog broda. Na kraju će još biti prikazana i kompletna dokumentacija registriranja broda u Hrvatski registar brodova., This final paper deals with the topic of the process of making workshop documentation for an aluminum work boat, or "Alumenjak" Salon Var MARAL 590VRT. The final paper introduces the basic properties of aluminum, a comparison of aluminum and fiberglass as the most common composite material for the construction of small to medium-sized ships, the process of making the aluminum ship and the conclusion of the advantages of aluminum ships. Also, the final paper will show the complete process of workshop documentation of the ship accompanied by a phase of 3D modeling in the computer program SolidWorks, technical documentation in the form of workshop 2D drawings in the computer program AutoCAD and will describe the process of selection, processing and welding of aluminum parts. At the end, the complete documentation of ship registration in the Croatian Register of Shipping will be presented.

U radu je izvršen proračun statički neodređenog linijskog nosača metodom početnih parametara. U uvodnom dijelu opisan je linijski nosač i statička neodređenost nosača. Na uvodnom primjeru objašnjene su osnove metode početnih parametara i korištenje iste pri rješavanju statički neodređenog linijskog nosača. Pomoću Excel programa izrađeni su dijagrami unutarnjih sila, kuta zakreta elastične linije i progiba nosača. Izvršeno je dimenzioniranje nosača uz kratko predstavljanje odabranih materijala. Dimenzionir an je poprečni presjek odabranog profila uz prikaz raspodjele normalnih i posmičnih naprezanja po visini poprečnog presjeka. U završnom dijelu rada korištenjem MDSolids programskog paketa prikazane su dvije varijante zadanog nosača sa promjenjivim poprečnim presjekom., This work paper shows calculation of the statically indeterminate beam using the initial parameter method. The introduction section describes the beam and the static indetermination of the beam. The first example is used to explain the basics of the initial parameter method and its use in solving a statically indeterminate beam problem. Diagrams of the internal forces, slopes and deflections of elastic line are made by using Microsoft Excel software. The designing of the beam was performed with a shortly presentation of the selected materials . The cross section of the selected profile is dimensioned and the distribution of normal and shear stresses over the height of the cross section was made. In the last part of the work paper two variants of the beam with variable cross section are calculated by using MDSolids software package.
