This paper uses the Vaasa region of Finland as an illustrative case study to explore how the relationships between climate change, sea-level rise and land uplift may offer applications in forecasting future land uplift changes. Using a comparative literature review and analysis of open source data, a conceptual framework is developed to ex-amine causes-effect relationships between them. The sea-level rise around the world by the end of the 21st century shows dramatic effects all over the world. However, the rate of land uplift in the Vaasa region is higher than the rate of sea-level rise. This localised finding is different from global average rates for land uplift and sea-level rise. This indicates that although climate change is global, it can lead to very different regional expressions. This paper presents a first attempt to combine sea-level rise and land uplift into a single cohesive framework to sup-port future land uplift management. The results of this paper establish a conceptual framework for studies of vulnerability and adaptation to climate change that can ben-efit local, regional and global communities.

Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin Psychotherapy Process Q-set -menetelmän (PQS) ominaisuuksia ja sovellettavuutta pari- ja perheterapian näkökulmasta. Tarkastelu suoritettiin asiantuntija-arvioiden avulla kolmessa eri vaiheessa. Asiantuntijoina toimi joukko suomalaisia perheterapiakouluttajia. Ensimmäisessä vaiheessa asiantuntijat (n=8) arvioivat PQS:n kuvaamien yksilöpsykoterapiatekijöiden relevanssia pari- ja perheterapiassa. Toisessa vaiheessa asiantuntijat(n=10) arvioivat muokattujen PQS:n osioiden ja uusien pariterapiaosioiden merkitystä pariterapiaprosessin tutkimisessa. Kolmannessa vaiheessa käytettiin pientä asiantuntijaryhmää(n=5), jonka avulla etsittiin konsensusperiaatetta noudattaen sadan pariterapiaprosessille ominaisen tekijän joukko uuden tutkimusmenetelmän perustaksi (Pariterapiaprosessin Q-set; PTQS). Perheterapiakouluttajat pitivät tärkeänä, että pari- ja perheterapiaistunnoissa keskustellaan hoidon tavoitteista. Terapeutin toiminnassa arvostettiin aktiivisuutta, kielellisestä selkeyttä, tarkkaavaisuutta, supportiivisuutta, rohkaisua, empatiaa ja korjausliikkeiden tekemistä vaikeissa vuorovaikutustilanteissa. Asiakkaan näkökulmasta pidettiin olennaisena uuden ymmärryksen saamista, tietoista sitoutumista työskentelyyn ja tärkeistä asioista puhumista. Pariterapiaprosessin tutkimisessa keskeisimmiksi tarkastelukohteiksi arvioitiin terapeutin sensitiivisyys, tarkka kuunteleminen, kielellinen selkeys, tasapuolisuus, vaikeiden vuorovaikutustilanteiden korjaaminen ja kyky pitää yllä toivoa. Terapeutin ja pariskunnan suhteessa huomio kohdistettiin terapian tavoitteisiin ja yhteistyösuhteen emotionaaliseen laatuun. Puolisoiden kannalta tärkeimpinä arviointikohteina pidettiin heidän sitoutumistaan terapiaan sekä heidän kokemustaan autetuksi tulemisesta ja ymmärryksen lisääntymisestä. Konsensusperiaatteella toteutetun asiantuntija-arvion avulla muodostettiin PTQS, joka koostuu sadasta terapeutin ja pariskunnan terapiaistunnon aikaista toimintaa kuvaavasta osiosta. PTQS sisältää kaikille psykoterapioille yhteisiä tekijöitä (esim. allianssi, terapeutin ominaisuudet, tavoitteet, palaute, vastatransferenssin käsitteleminen) sekä tietyille perheterapiamalleille spesifisiä elementtejä. Suunnitelmat menetelmän empiirisestä validoinnista on tehty. The study examined features and applicability of a method Psychotherapy Process Q-set (PQS) in a perspective of couple and family therapy. The analysis was carried out with a help of the expert assessments in three different stages. For the purpose, a group of Finnish family therapy trainers was used as a panel of experts. In the first stage, the experts (n = 8) assessed the relevance of PQS items representing factors of individual psychotherapy to couple and family therapy. In the second stage, the experts (n = 10) evaluated modified PQS items and new items for detecting couple therapy process. In the third stage, the author searched 100 items most characteristic and relevant to couple therapy as a basis for a developing method Couple Therapy Process Q-set (PTQS). This was done with a small panel of experts (n = 5) in accordance with the principle of consensus. According the family therapy trainers, the most relevant individual therapy factors in family therapy setting were a discussion of treatment goals, therapist´s linguistic clarity, alertness, supportiveness, encouragement, empathy and his/her ability to repair alliance ruptures. From client´s point of view new insight, commitment to therapy work and talking about important issues was considered as the most essential elements. When studying the process of couple therapy, the experts would focus on the therapist's sensitivity, listening, linguistic clarity, fairness, the ability to keep up hope, and the therapist´s ability to accommodate his/her own behavior when the interaction with clients is difficult. Concerning the relationship between the therapist and the couple, the experts emphasized the emotional bond between them and the discussion of treatment goals. According the experts, the commitment to therapy, indications of the sense of feeling helped, and signs of new understanding would be the most essential factors to observe couple´s behavior in therapy situation. The PTQS including 100 items to describe therapist´s actions, the behavior of spouses, and common features of a couple therapy session was composed. The PTQS items represent both common factors (e. g. alliance, therapist qualities, treatment goals, feedback, managing countertransference) and some specific features of models of family therapy. There is a plan for the empirical validation of PTQS.

Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää miten hiljaista tietoa on mahdollista hyödyntää tietojenkäsittelyalalla. Työssä perehdyttiin kirjallisuuden avulla tiedon käsitteisiin ja tiedon siirtymisen teoriaan. Tätä kirjallisuustaustaa vasten peilattiin tietojenkäsittelyalaa. Hiljainen tieto on vaikea mallintaa. Kyseessä on tiedon laji, jota ei voi käsitellä samalla tavalla kuin eksplisiittistä tietoa. Ihminen tietää aina enemmän kuin osaamme kertoa tai kuvata. Tutkimustyössä tarkasteltiin myös yleisellä tasolla hiljaisen tiedon siirtoa edistäviä käytäntöjä ja niiden pohjalta pohdittiin kehitysideoita tiedon hyödyntämiseksi. Tulosten perusteella voidaan todeta, että on tärkeää tiedostaa hiljaisen tiedon olemassaolo. Tietojenkäsittelyalalla toimivia työntekijöitä tulisi rohkaista oppimiseen , koska muodollinen koulutus ei tavoita sanatonta tietoa. Yksilölle merkityksellinen teoria- ja käytäntötieto on integroitunut hiljaiseen kokemustietoon, mihin ammatillisen harjaantumisen myötä on kasvanut sanattoman tietämyksen osuus. Asiantuntijuus syntyy pitkälti kyvystä uskaltaa heittäytyä toimintaan mukaan jakaen omaa tietämystä, kyseenalaistaen, tutkien ja pohtien.
