In the contemporary research of playful behavior in animals, it has not yet been reliably tested whether the experimental limitations of play in the critical phase of ontogenesis will have a negative effect on motor, emotional and cognitive skills in the later stages of an individual's development. In this thesis, we try to separate the influence of kinematic and social limitations of play experience by comparing three treatments of Long-Evans laboratory rats, in which rats were exposed to different play experience in the period between the 24th and 66th postnatal day. In this early period of ontogenesis, all male rats were allowed to play for one hour a day. According to the treatment, it was either modified the rats' play environment or the play was reduced by a socially less playful partner. In full-play treatment, the Long-Evans focal laboratory rat was allowed to play in the full extent of movement in the entire environment of a play arena. The play was enabled throughout the whole experiment with a partner of same Long-Evans strain. This paper presents a simulation analysis of the overall efficiency of Dual Motor Drive System (DMDS). The simulation was performed in software Ricardo Ignite. The main objective of the analysis was to verify the idea of using two different electric motors connected to the input of a single-speed transmission with mechanical differential. The analysis was performed with the drivetrain considered for a vehicle in C-segment. The results confirmed the expected high values of overall drive efficiency and can be used as a basis for further advanced simulations and electric drives experiments.

Effect of global poverty reduction on wild animal welfare Abstract This thesis aims to find a connection in the form of theory or economic model between two concepts - world poverty and wild animal welfare. By synthesising contemporary knowledge, we aim to answer the question of whether there are scientifically-based explanations for the relationship between decreasing global poverty and welfare of wild animals. We also aim to answer the question of whether the welfare of wild animals is worsening or improving with declining global poverty. Assuming that animals are sentient beings, their welfare is negatively affected by the variety of human activities. These activities can be undertaken by humans intentionally (e.g. hunting) or unintentionally, with the industrial activities leading to the disruption of animal habitats or chemical contamination of the biosphere. We approach the problem of reducing global poverty on wild animal welfare in two ways. First, we find an explanation of the relationship between the growth of society's wealth and environmental degradation from a macro-perspective using the environmental Kuznets curve and its derivative - animal welfare Kuznets curve. The theme of this diploma thesis is Consumer credit and consumer protection. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the new Consumer Credit Act that brings substantial changes to the provision of consumer and mortgage credit. Author compares new act with the previous legislation and describes the development in past years. The diploma thesis compares selected bank and non-bank providers of consumer credit and evaluates the parameters of mortgage credit of these institutions. In the conclusion the results are summarised, and there is stated the recommendation for the consumer. The last part outlines the recommendations concerning chances to decrease the household indebtedness and increase the consumer protection on the consumer credit market.

This thesis is focused on the study of glycosphingolipids in the rat liver in different types of cholestasis and the effect of oxidative stress on changes in the composition and localization of gangliosides. First, it was necessary to optimize the immunochemical detection of glycosphingolipids. GM1 ganglioside was selected as a representative of a large glycolipid family. We found that minimum water content in the fixing solution was a key condition for fixation of histological sections. Optimized method of GM1 detection was subsequently used in in vivo experiments. We have demonstrated that estrogen-induced cholestasis characterized by high concentrations of bile acids and increased oxidative stress caused changes in the synthesis and distribution of liver gangliosides. HMOX induction is associated with a reduction in oxidative stress level and accompanied by normalization in GSL content. In experiments with obstructive cholestasis, we found that changes in the distribution and synthesis of gangliosides were not strictly specific to a particular type of cholestasis. We assume that it represents a general mechanism of hepatoprotection. This thesis deals with different kinds of floods and flood control measures that contribute to the alleviation of human and material losses during flood conditions.This paper outlines the main theoretical concepts on the subject of the flood, the reader is familiar with crisis situations and also with the recommended procedure, How to behave during a flood. The practical part includes a choice of two areas, their detailed characterization, description built flood protection measures and their ability to intercept and divert excessive and prolonged rainfall on agricultural land and urban areas. The work is also a number of tables, figures and photos for a better idea and understanding of the topic. The list of references from which it was drawn is given in the final part.

The thesis is devoted to the issue of involuntary hospitalization in the field of psychiatry. Involuntary psychiatric hospitalization is accompanied by a wide range of ethical issues and practical problems. In the theoretical part of the thesis I describe the involuntary hospitalization from several different points of view. I pay attention to international conventions and documents relating to the issue, reveal the historical roots of involuntary hospitalization, compare the situation in different European countries and mention some important judicial decisions concerning the involuntary admission of a person. Using a comprehensive approach I map all the important aspects of this sensitive area in health care provision. In the research part, using both - the quantitative and the qualitative approach, I offer a more detailed look at two selected aspects surrounding the involuntary hospitalization. The first part of the research is focused on the subjective experiences of involuntarily admitted patients. 88 patients participated in the research. These patients described their perception of coercion, the possibility or impossibility of influencing decisions about hospitalization and subsequent treatment, the level of autonomy and emotional experience. The aim of the thesis is to provide an overview of gradual development of the map series called State Maps 1:5 000 ? derived. From 1945 maps of large scale were required for all types of design work, in particular in the most suitable scale for design, i.e. 1:5 000. Therefore it was decided to prepare ?State Map 1:5000 ? economic? SHM5 being the original one containing planimetry and altimetry of the whole state territory. Since preparation of the original economic map proceeded slowly, it was approached to creation of a temporary map 1:5 000 so called ?State Map 1:5 000 ? derived SMO-5?, which is the subject of my Bachelor?s Thesis. As the name indicates it was a map composed from available materials. Currently SMO-5 has been fully replaced with State Map 1:5 000 (SM-5), which is raster or vector. This thesis provides a total summary of all activities carried out to prepare SMO-5 starting with preparatory work (availability of map sheets and other graphic materials), total creation, layout, identification and dividing of map sheets, control work, issue of SMO-5 map up to creation of map markers according to basic stipulations and altimetric ratios. SM-5 overview, including summary of the existing technology, use of SM-5 digital form and overall assessment of quality and accuracy of planimetry and altimetry concurrently evaluating also SMO-5 creates an individual chapter.

This Bachelor 's thesis analyses the road carrier's liability for parcel damage. The purpose of this Bachelor 's thesis is to offer an overview of current legislative situation in domestic and international carriage of goods. Special attention is dedicated to carrier 's liability in domestic and international transport of goods. It 's very important to keep balance between the rights and duties of both the carrier and the shipper. In fact this Bachelor 's thesis consists of 6 chapters. The starting point of this thesis is to introduce the importance of carriage of goods by road and describe basic terms such as the carrier and the shipper or international and domestic carriage of goods. Next chapter presents the applicable sets of rules, which can govern the contract of carriage in transport and names sources of law used in the field of carriage of goods. The fourth chapter describes types of contracts that can be used for domestic and international carriage. The fifth chapter describes road carrier's liability for parcel damage, loss and other damages and mentions the possibilities of compensation methods, the content of compensation and damages. The conclusion can be found in the sixth chapter. I summarize here the main aspects of the domestic and international carriage of goods.

The aim of my thesis was to find the possible reasons for escapes of trainees from the Educational Institution in Nový Jičín. The theoretical part offers a brief summary of the topics important for understanding the issues of escaping and their relations. There is a description of characteristics of the adolescence period from the development point of view, specification of behaviour disorders with particular symptoms and classification of behaviour disorders. The thesis also refers to the applicable legislation dealing with the care for children at educational institutions, including specification of the preventive measure, institutional upbringing and protective upbringing. The last part of the thesis focuses on a particular educational institution, specifies the workplace and its aims. The practical part deals with the question what leads individuals to escaping from the institution and whether the seasons of the year influence the escape frequency. A quantitative research was performed; the data were evaluated by means of a questionnaire and secondary data analysis. The research results are also evaluated in this part.

This thesis called "Media on Media: Self-Representation and Representation of Competition" describes how, and under which circumstances Czech media project themselves into their news content. It also defines attributes typical for such content, and what are the initiative situations that cause its production. The thesis also determines which of the analysed media types produces the highest figure of selfrepresenting content, and how this amount evolves quantitatively over time. The second part of this work focuses on methods that particular media use to inform on their competition. As a result of quantitative content analysis, which had been used in both parts of the research, it was not only possible to state the overall figure of such contents, but also to specify characteristics usually present in this content. The thesis also shortly analyses the topics and types of these contents. By using the above specified methodology it was also possible to identify particular media that refer about others the most and those that are on the contrary the most mentioned in the news coverage of others. This should clarify functioning of agenda-setting of Czech media in this field.

This work deals with the possibilities of financial derivatives pricing. Explained are especially mathematical approaches used for modelling the development of random variables, which represent the evolution of underlying securities and interest rates. Based on this representation is then derived the pricing of various financial derivatives, mainly options, using the risk-neutral probability measure. Both the analytical pricing methods, especially those extending the Black-Scholes formula for European call and put options pricing, and the numerical and simulation pricing methods for modelling prices and interest rates based on assumptions about their distribution are involved. Mentioned are also ARCH and GARCH models for estimation of interest rates and indices distribution parametres. At the end of the work are these methods compared by application on an example of market data. Compared are various models to price the most usual types of options - analytical pricing (if available), underlying security price simulation by construction of binomial tree model, simulation of particular trajectories by Monte Carlo method.

The thesis is based on the needs of non-medical staff members in acute psychiatric care. The main aim of the thesis is to identify the needs of staff members and the relationship to their work. The theme is focussed on theoretical part and formed by information about the needs, motives and motivation in general within a working context. It further focuses on the branch of mental health care, describing the history of psychiatric nursing and current trends in psychiatric care. It then provides an analysis of specifics of psychiatric nursing and goes on to present the possibilities of professional support of the nursing staff. The practical part describes a qualitative study that aims on identification of needs of non-medical staff members working on acute psychiatric unit. The result of the study is formed by 23 identified domains of the needs implanted into the theoretical framework of Maslow's hierarchy of needs. In making recommendations for practise the author uses two attitudes for practical implementation of the results: 1. the results are rearranged into Herzberg's two factor model of motivation, 2. the mind map is used to capture the most dominant groups of needs and their mutual interferences. In consideration of the demographic trends of our population, it is necessary to deal with the old age problems and problems of geriatric patients. The controversial topic of restraints, especially sensitive in association with old frail people, is closely related. The issue of restraints is defined by law. However, the ethical aspects of their application should also be considered. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with the topic of old age and serious problems of this period of life, including mental disorders. It introduces the field of geriatrics and geriatric patients. In further chapters, this thesis discusses the restraints and ethical issues related to their use. By using qualitative research methods, the empirical part of this thesis surveys the attitudes of healthcare professionals towards this issue. It discusses specific restraints and the reasons for which they are used. The results show that the most important value of healthcare professionals is health and the most respected ethical principle is the principle of beneficence.
