Problemformulering: Vad innebär en försäljning av ett bolag ur en entreprenörs perspektiv? Metod: I denna studie har en kvalitativ forskningsmetod med abduktiv forskningsansats använts. Semistrukturerade intervjuer har utförts med nio respondenter, vilka alla har sålt en majoritetsandel i sitt aktiebolag. Intervjufrågorna har dels operationaliserats med hjälp av en teoretisk referensram som grund och dels bestått av icke-teoriberoende frågor. Slutsats: Studien finner att entreprenörer gynnas av att anlita M&A-rådgivare under försäljningsprocessen och att de bör överväga fler faktorer än enbart pengar vid försäljningen. Dessutom dras slutsatsen att en försäljning innebär en emotionell berg-och-dalbana, men att det operationellt inte behöver innebära så stora förändringar eller utmaningar. Av studien framgår även att säljaren gynnas av att vara väl förberedd inför processen och att målbolaget kan räkna med ökad rapportering och kontroll., Title: Selling One's Life's Work - A Qualitative Study of Entrepreneurs' Experiences Field of studies: Independent thesis in Business Administration, specializing in Auditing and Banking, 30 credits Authors: Andreas Petersson and Felix Ottosson Supervisor: Kjell Johansson, Doctor in Accounting law and Assistant professor in Business administration Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to contribute to the understanding of what a company sale can entail in terms of advantages and disadvantages for both the company and the entrepreneur after the sale, as well as what is required for the deal to be successful. Research Question: What does a company sale mean from an entrepreneur's perspective? Method: In this study a qualitative research method with an abductive research approach has been applied. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with nine respondents, all of whom have sold a majority stake in their limited liability company. The interview questions were operationalized using a theoretical framework and included both theory-driven and non-theory- driven questions. Conclusion: The study finds that entrepreneurs benefit from hiring M&A advisors during the sales process and should consider factors beyond financial when making the sale. Furthermore, the conclusion is drawn that selling a company is an emotional rollercoaster but operationally does not necessarily entail significant changes or challenges. The study also reveals that sellers benefit from being well-prepared for the process and that the acquired company can expect increased reporting and control.

In felsic igneous rocks, the parent and daughter elements in the widely used Sm–Nd and Lu–Hf isotope tracer systems are mainly hosted in accessory phases. Recrystallisation and/or breakdown of these minerals during metamorphism, deformation and weathering potentially compromises the chemical and isotopic composition of the respective whole rocks, impeding the utility of such information for deducing the timing, rates and processes of crust-mantle differentiation in the early Earth. The different abilities of zircon and REE-rich minerals to withstand metamorphism have been suggested as a reason for the decoupling of the Lu–Hf and Sm–Nd isotope systems observed in a number of ancient gneiss terranes. The controls on element mobility and subsequent isotopic disturbance during recrystallisation and breakdown of LREE-rich accessory minerals are, however incompletely understood. Here, we use petrography, element mapping, and microanalysis of accessory minerals, in tandem with whole rock Sm–Nd data, to assess the reliability of the Sm–Nd system in the 3.59–3.58 Ga Mount Webber Gabbros, the oldest rocks in the Pilbara Craton (Western Australia). We show that despite multiple thermal events, which reset the mineral Sm–Nd systematics, and decomposition of the REE-rich mineral allanite, the Mount Webber rocks retained the Sm–Nd isotope signatures of their magmatic protoliths at the whole-rock scale. We show that the allanite breakdown occurred during modern, near-surface weathering processes at low temperature, such that the REE were sequestered into secondary minerals rather than escaping in higher temperature metamorphic fluids. The whole rock Sm–Nd, and zircon O–Hf signatures, together with new 142Nd isotope data, suggest derivation of the Mount Webber rocks from undifferentiated mantle sources that preserve no evidence for Hadean silicate Earth differentiation. In this study, I investigate the authorial intentions of the early modern Jesuit Antonio Possevino (1533–1611) aiming to contribute to the understanding of his activities as an author, diplomatic administrator and missionary. I carry out analyses of his evaluative criteria of various topics and disciplines, such as history, geography, and politics. I also problematise earlier research on the Venetian Interdict Controversy of 1606 and 1607, in which he participated. Main sources to the investigation are the Apparato All’Historia and the Coltura Degl’Ingegni which were initially included in the bibliography Bibliotheca Selecta, as well as the Soldato Christiano. These sources are compared with three pamphlets written during the Interdict Controversy: the Nuova Risposta di Giovanni Filoteo d’Asti, Risposta di Teodoro Eugenio di Famagosta, and Risposta del Sig. Paolo Anafesto. My point of departure for the textual interpretation, are the transcriptions of the sources that I have produced. The methodology of interpretation borrows from Quentin Skinner’s hermeneutics of recovering authorial intentions, without succumbing to a narrow contextualist view. I have complemented Skinner’s approach with the concept of historicity, which accepts person to be able to relate to one’s historical context without being locked inside it. In the analysis, I use concepts to make the implicit meanings of the texts explicit. The framework for Possevino’s texts concerns deliberative rhetoric, which aims either to exhort or dissuade readers to imitate given historical exempla. In his task of persuasion, emphasis is put on the moral dimensions of the transcendentals (bonum, unum, and verum). The transcendentals also function as his evaluative criteria. Important to the analysis is the concept of traditions. The composition of the mantle source from which continental crust is ultimately derived informs both the timing and rate of continental growth. This composition is, however, poorly constrained during the first billion or so years of Earth's evolution. Typically in zircon Hf isotope studies, a linearly evolving depleted mantle back-calculated from modern MORB-source mantle to chondrite at 4.57 Ga has been used to calculate model ‘crust formation’ ages, which are themselves used in crustal growth models. Yet, an increasing number of studies of Eo- to Paleoarchean continental crust suggest crust extraction from a relatively undifferentiated mantle. Zircon Hf isotope studies of ca. 2.9 Ga gneisses from the Neoarchean Lewisian Gneiss Complex of Scotland have previously revealed initial Hf isotope compositions that suggest derivation from such an undepleted mantle source. Here, we present combined zircon U-Pb and Lu-Hf isotope data from seventeen representative grey gneiss samples from across the Lewisian of the Scottish mainland and the Outer Hebridean archipelago, ranging in age from 3.1 to 2.7 Ga. Regardless of location and exact age, initial Hf isotope signatures are predominantly near- to slightly supra-chondritic. Several models are investigated to explain this observation, our favoured one involving episodic extraction of the grey gneiss precursors from a mildly depleted mantle that began to diverge from chondritic composition at ca. 3.5 Ga. Samples from the southern Outer Hebrides record slightly more radiogenic initial Hf signatures, consistent with a possible terrane boundary along the Paleoproterozoic South Harris shear zone. This study provides further confirmation that domains of Hadean to Paleoarchean, and possibly even locally Mesoarchean, mantle remained chondritic with respect to Hf isotopes. Assembly of the Yilgarn Craton in Western Australia was related to Neoarchaean magmatic episodes that stabilised an Archaean continent. Neoarchaean granitic magmatism across the Yilgarn Craton was typified by early (2750–2680 Ma) tonalite and granodiorite emplacement, followed by craton-wide 2680–2620 Ma granodiorite and monzogranite emplacement. Products of the younger magmatic event are the most voluminous in the Yilgarn Craton, although magma source compositions and tectonic settings related to magmatism have remained ambiguous. We report U–Pb zircon ages and whole-rock geochemistry of ultramafic, mafic, intermediate, and felsic magmatic rocks from the Narryer Terrane and the adjacent Youanmi Terrane in the northwestern Yilgarn Craton. Our results show that Neoarchaean magmatism occurred in three stages, at c. 2740 Ma, 2680 Ma, and 2630 Ma. The compositions of granitic magmas evolved during each stage, from relatively high CaO/K2O, V, and EuN/Eu* tonalite, granodiorite, and monzogranite to high K2O/Na2O, Zr, and Ga/Al2O3 monzogranite with A-type affinity. We infer that cratonisation of the northwestern Yilgarn Craton involved a change from convergent to intraplate tectonic environments during these three magmatic episodes. We suggest that thickening of Archaean continental nuclei through convergent tectonics was followed by extension and decompression melting of the lithosphere. The latter events triggered craton-wide crustal anatexis and episodic granitic magmatism, culminating in stabilisation of the Yilgarn Craton.
