Covid-19 disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome 2 coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) continues to be a global public health problem. Since the pandemic outbreak in early 2020, a number of cases have been reported in pregnant women whose infection has led to severe complications including preterm birth, miscarriage, intrauterine growth restriction or intrauterine fetal demise. The results of the current studies suggest that the transplacental transmission of infection from mother to fetus is a rare event and that the complications listed above are more likely due to damage of placental tissue. In this article, we describe two cases of SARS-CoV-2 placentitis with special consideration to the morphology and differential dia-gnosis of this newly defined entity.

SARS-CoV-2 infection in pregnancy can cause a number of serious complications, including fetal growth restriction or intrauterine fetal death. It appears that transplacental transmission of infection is rare and the arising complications are due to damage of placental parenchyma. The aim of this article is to summarize the results of recent publications dealing with placental changes in COVID-19 disease, with special consideration to the morphology of the newly defined SARS-CoV-2 placentitis.

In addition to the well-known group of inflammations of infectious etiology, placental inflammations arising on immunological basis are also encountered. The incidence of the latter far exceeds the group of infectious lesions of the placenta caused mainly by microorganisms of the TORCH group. Given the current knowledge of the possible complications of these inflammations, their precise diagnosis becomes more important not only from the clinicopathological point of view, but also because of potential forensic consequences. The aim of this article is to provide readers with a basic overview of the morphology, classification, presumed pathogenesis and clinical aspects of these entities.

Umbilical cord hemangioma is a rare tumor that can be associated with significant fetal and perinatal complications. Although usually described as a single anomaly, sometimes these tumors are reported in association with other vascular lesions. We report an unusual case of simultaneous occurrence of two umbilical cord hemangiomas and vascular malformation of the transverse mesocolon in a stillborn fetus with hydrops. To our knowledge, this is the first report of two simultaneously occurring umbilical cord hemangiomas. Moreover, presence of associated vascular malformation of transverse mesocolon could support the hypothesis of underlying predisposition to the development of vascular tumors.

Placental mesenchymal dysplasia is a rare placental lesion characterized by placentomegaly, vascular abnormalities and formation of cystic structures in the placental parenchyma. It can be associated with various genetic abnormalities, fetal growth restriction or intrauterine fetal demise. Placental mesenchymal dysplasia needs to be distinguished from its main differential diagnosis, partial hydatidiform mole. The aim of this article is to provide readers with a basic overview of the morphology and differential diagnosis of this pathological entity.

This diploma thesis is devoted to a central motive of a journey home in the sense of returning to the roots in two books by Czech authors writing in German, Jaroslav Rudiš and Libuše Moníková. These are the novels Winterbergs letzte Reise and Zjasněná noc. The first part of the thesis is theoretical and deals with space as a narratological category. The findings are drawn mainly from the publication Narratology: strukturální analýza vyprávění. Within the theory there is also an introduction to topology listed as a literary discipline, drawn notably from two publications of the literary theorist Daniela Hodrová, Místa s tajemstvím and Poetika míst: kapitoly z literární tematologie. In addition to the history of this science, more details are given about the four important toposos, which are often part of the narratives. Specifically these are the topos of the city, room, road and Czech pub. The first part of the diploma thesis includes factual information about Moníková and Rudiš, including a brief outline of content of both analyzed novels. Title: Comparison of body composition and lifestyle tennis players and student of secondary school. Objectives: The main objective of this work is to investigate the link between body composition and the amount and form of physical activity, diet and leisure time in adolescent girls. Further characterization of selected indicators of body composition in female players, who regularly undergo intense training load with girls without regular physical activity. Then evaluate their overall lifestyle. Methods: To obtain data for the assessment of body composition was used bioimpedance analysis, we used monofrequency device BODYSTAT 1500 MDD with the regression equation for the monitored age group. The amount of physical activity, diet and leisure time was obtained by written inquiries using a modified questionnaire 6th CAV 2001 for children and youth added with 4 custom questions related to lifestyle. Results: The result of this work is the finding that regular physical training in the amount of at least 10 hours per week leads to a reduction in body fat and at the same time to increase the amount of lean mass. Title: The Nutrition Habits and Knowledge of middle and long distance runners Targets: The thesis main target is to determine dietary habits of endurance men and women runners, their interest in health nutrition and their nutrition information sources. Another aim to achieve is to find out their basic knowledge of body composition and human nutrition. Methods: The thesis was worked out on the base of questionnaires , that were prepared with regard to the author personal experience and knowledge. The questionnaires were handed in personaly to the respondents at runners competition, as soon as the race was finished and most of the runners used to wait for their results. The respondents were kept in anonymity in order to ensure as much objective answers as possible. The meaning of questionnaire completion was explained by the author to each of the responding runners. The validity of the questionnaire was consequently confirmed by the mean of guided interview between the author and the runner responded. In the current population, a number of self-insufficient seniors have been increasing who need a help of other people (e.g. family) or by facilities with full-time social assistance. The Act concerning social services has brought numerous significant changes to social services system and among others, it defines activities which social services can provide individual facilities. This thesis presents a overview on problems of ageing process at senior-care facilities and points to possible risks in social service providing. The survey for this study was carried out in three retirement homes of the Social Services Centre in Tachov (Czech Republic) between December 2009 and January 2010. The information from persons was collected via moderated interviews. The main objective of this work is to find out and to compare requirements of residents in individual retirement homes as concerns social services, i.e. whether provided services are sufficient, or which services the seniors miss in the facilities. In the theoretical part of the thesis, I focus to the problem of ageing and associated consequences. I also analyze the problem of quality standards, especially its individual adjustment to users. One part of the thesis also deals with the description of the Social Services Centre in Tachov and the retirement homes that belong to its administration. The practical survey in this study compares requirements of the occupants in the individual retirement homes. The results of this thesis might be used to extend the offer of activities in retirement homes and this information can also motivate the personnel as well the management of these facilities.

Title: Nutrition and activ regimen of children in older school age. Objectives: To describe the principles of proper diet and activ regimen . To determine the current status of the diet and movement of children in older school age. Methods: In my thesis I used experimental method and it is associated with the collection and evaluation of data. The practical part was conceived in the form of enquiry. Results: The frequency of meals taken per day by sporty children are not much different from the frequency of meals of children who don't do any sports but the difference is in the composition of the food they eat. Sporty kids take more vitamins per day and drink more fluids. Daily exercise regimen follow all the interviewed children. Energy content of the food children of this age eat is greater than they consume. They eat a lot of fatty food and they suffer from lack of protein. .
