Tutto ciò comporta l'assunzione di una prospettiva pedagogica che non riduca la questione formativa agli aspetti tecnici e specialistici e che eviti il rischio di delegare il compito formativo solo ad alcune persone. Serve, invece, nell'orizzonte della sinodalità, l'assunzione di un impegno comunitario, che aiuti a vincere un diffuso sentimento di rassegnazione. Questo impegno, nell'attuale frammentazione socio-culturale, comporta una specifica attenzione verso la promozione dei caratteri fondamentali della coscienza personale e dei dinamismi e dei contenuti della vita cristiana. Inoltre, comporta la rilettura pedagogica delle diverse sfide culturali del tempo presente a cui fare fronte attraverso direzioni di lavoro significative nei contenuti e metodologicamente ricche. In August of 2021, Netflix released Cooking with Paris, a six-episode cooking series starring Paris Hilton. Instead of the mature, business-minded Hilton featured in the 2020 documentary This is Paris, Cooking with Paris showcased Hilton as the vapid socialite she played in the early 2000s, sparking public discourse that attempted to make sense of this apparent incongruity. In this essay, we critically analyse popular press about Cooking with Paris through the lenses of celebrity studies and post- and popular feminisms to uncover the sensemaking devices that audiences/critics used to understand Cooking with Paris and Hilton. We argue that popular discourse about Cooking with Paris, and Hilton herself, serve to uphold troubling and impossible double-binds for women through their focus on Hilton's aspirational motherhood, the (in)authenticity of Hilton's persona, and the image incongruity between the versions of Hilton that we see in This is Paris versus Cooking with Paris. A notable aspect of Norwegians’ national identity is that they think of themselves as a ‘peace nation’ and a ‘humanitarian superpower’. It is not obvious, however, how they make this identity work: Foreign politics is a distinctly expert field, and as such, its practice is quite distant from the everyday experience of most citizens. How does an area of politics that most people are largely ignorant about become such an important part of a nation’s identity? In this article, I argue that maintenance of this identity requires a certain type of rhetorical work that mediates between the technical sphere of foreign policy practice and the public sphere in which national identity is made and maintained. This rhetorical work falls in large part on the cultural type I call ‘the humanitarian persona’ – a role that bridges the technical and the public, and which tends to solidify the idea of Norway as an exceptionally benign actor on the international stage. Using the career of activist-academic, politician-diplomat Jan Egeland as a notable performance of this type I argue that the humanitarian persona allows Norwegians to claim ownership to what, at the outset, is literally as well as figuratively foreign to them. In the design field, persona is widely used to help design teams understand their target users. However, existing persona tools have limitations such as insufficient interactivity, inability to arouse designers’ empathy, and inability to finely segment users. We developed Vivid-Persona, which is a customisable persona tool offering an interactive and immersive experience. Designers can set the demographics and scenarios of the target user to customise a persona. The tool generates a realistic image of the persona using a Diffusion model. Embedded with the ChatGPT and SadTalker models, the persona can engage in real-time video chats with designers. The persona is augmented with facial expressions, based on the analysis of the emotions in utterances. A user study showed that Vivid-Persona effectively solves the problem of user segmentation, significantly enhancing the designer’s perception of persona in terms of authenticity, clarity, empathy and willingness to use, as well as the quality of the output design solutions. Drawing upon extensive research in luxury, we investigate how firms manage to sustain charismatic legitimacy over a succession of charismatic heirs. We question the presumption that charismatic legitimacy is personal and transitory. Instead, we show that management can deal with the inherent human limitations of charismatic legitimacy by forming a brand dynasty. We define a brand dynasty as a brand in which a series of persons (brand heirs) embody the brand persona that is defined by reference to a brand founder. Our analysis identifies three general managerial practices that together transfer and when repeated sustain brand charismatic legitimacy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The purpose of the paper is to study the images of the platonic and courtly in the protagonist’s personal relations with God in J. Donne’s “Holy Sonnets” in the context of the connection with the Petrarchan tradition. In order to accomplish this, a complex approach including elements of biographical, genealogical, typological, hermeneutic, comparative, and structural-semiotic methods of literary analysis has been used. The views of literary critics on the sources of the “Holy Sonnets” (Christian meditative practices, Bible books, traditions of English religious lyrics) have been reviewed, their connection with the Petrarchan poetic tradition has been pointed out and, in this context, one of the possible interpretations of J. Donne’s sonnet sequence has been proposed. It has been shown that three poems of the sequence – XIV, XVII and XIX – are especially important and conceptual for understanding the evolution of the protagonist’s relations with God in the “Holy Sonnets”. In the first of them, feeling his own weakness and impossibility to overcome the devil, J. Donne’s persona begs the Lord to win back his heart from the enemy, using a broad palette of military metaphors typical to the Petrarchan lyrics. However, the Lord, who in sonnets I – XIII is depicted in a Petrarchan manner as distant and completely deaf to the protagonist’s pleas, remains indifferent. In sonnet XVII, which looks similar to the lyrical texts of the “Canzoniere” dedicated to Laura’s death, a notable change in the relationship between the characters takes place. As in the Italian humanist’s poems, the life path of J. Donne’s persona finally turns to heaven after the death of his beloved, and he begins to feel that the loss of earthly love is compensated by the gaining of the Divine one. However, his further relations with God, once again, seem to be built according to the Petrarchan model, most fully described in the last text of the sequence. The sonnet XIX demonstrates all the complexity of the relationship between a human being and the Lord. J. Donne’s persona is constantly dominated by conflicting feelings and emotions, which generally correlates with Petrarchan understanding of the ambivalence of love, best shown by F. Petrarch in the sonnets CXXXII and CXXXIV. Moreover, the poetic vocabulary used by J. Donne in this poem indicates the specific character of his persona’s relations with God, which are supposed to have signs of courtly love, courtly bowing-service. It has been summed up that the protagonist’s relations with the Lord in the “Holy Sonnets” might be interpreted as generally built on the same principles that are immanent in the concept of love in the poetry of Petrarchism. The persona of the English poet, as well as the traditional hero of Petrarchan texts, also suffers from unrequited feelings, longs for reciprocity with all his heart, and, in addition, speaks in the specific metaphorical language. Even if the linguistic practice utilized by the author cannot be considered exclusively Petrarchan, since a similar rhetorical code, in which the experience of spiritual communication with the Lord was described with the help of erotic images, was widely used by the Christian mystics, the sonnet poetic structure is canonical for Petrarchan lyrical discourse and require following the established rules not only in terms of form, but also in terms of content.

Abstract Background Mobile health (mHealth) may be an ideal solution for breast cancer (BC) patients in China to access weight management interventions. User retention and engagement are the main challenges faced by mHealth applications. A user persona, which is a user-centered design process, can lead to the development of mHealth that is more acceptable to the needs of target users. This study aimed to investigate the variety of experiences in weight management and the behavioral preferences of BC patients receiving chemotherapy to develop users’ personal information and persona development for the design and implementation of mHealth interventions. Methods Sixteen individual semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with BC patients receiving chemotherapy. We employed the thematic analysis method to analyze the interview transcripts in NVivo 11 software. The themes obtained from the analysis were used as the subdomains of personas. A proforma was designed to extract each participant’s experience in each subdomain. Patients who exhibited similar experience in subdomains were grouped into a persona using affinity diagrams. The personas were named according to their prominent features. A questionnaire survey was conducted to validate the personas and to test whether the personas that were generated from the qualitative interview data were applicable to the Chinese population with BC. Results Four themes were identified as subdomains of weight management personas: the perception of weight management while undergoing chemotherapy, symptoms and emotional disturbance, changes in diet and exercise, and health literacy and information seeking. Five personas were ultimately obtained: (1) positive weight controllers, (2) patients who were inactive due to fatigue, (3) young patients who avoided communication, (4) overweight patients with treatment priority, and (5) patients who engaged in irregular exercise. Finally, the quantitative study showed that 51.58% of patients chose one of these five personas to represent themselves in weight management. None of the patient reported selecting options that were not explicitly outlined in the questionnaire and provided personalized descriptions of their weight management characteristics. Conclusions The selected personas were developed from in-depth interviews on biopsychosocial areas. They highlight different weight management patterns in Chinese BC patients and provide implications for both the design of mHealth systems and traditional interventions.

Transcripts and testamurs serve to confirm the award of a degree but offer limited information on what a student can actually do. This conceptual paper considers the problem of how graduate achievements are represented by universities in typically reductive and limited ways that do not enable student achievements and distinctiveness to be communicated to future employers, communities and students themselves. It argues that refinements to existing methods for the design and development of assessment are needed to encompass both university validated and contextualised credentials along with student-constructed portrayals of achievement and personas. Significant change is needed to assessment design, data capture and storage and the ways in which learning outcomes are tracked across a program and over time. Innovations in assessment representation should strengthen employer trust in the value of degrees, student trust in assessment processes and scaffold student agency in curating their employability narratives. Chatbots are computer programs that mimic human conversation using text or voice or both. Users' acceptance of chatbots is highly influenced by their persona. Users develop a sense of familiarity with chatbots as they use them, so they become more approachable, and this encourages them to interact with the chatbots more readily by fostering favorable opinions of the technology. In this study, we examine the moderating effects of persona traits on students' acceptance and use of chatbot technology at higher educational institutions in the UK. We use an Extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (Extended UTAUT2). Through a self-administrated survey using a questionnaire, data were collected from 431 undergraduate and postgraduate computer science students. This study employed a Likert scale to measure the variables associated with chatbot acceptance. To evaluate the gathered data, Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) coupled with multi-group analysis (MGA) using SmartPLS3 were used. The estimated Cronbach's alpha highlighted the accuracy and legitimacy of the findings. The results showed that the emerging factors that influence students' adoption and use of chatbot technology were habit, effort expectancy, and performance expectancy. Additionally, it was discovered that the Extended UTAUT2 model did not require grades or educational level to moderate the correlations. These results are important for improving user experience and they have implications for academics, researchers, and organizations, especially in the context of native chatbots. Small cities and towns often struggle to provide high-quality public transport services to daily commuters. This is reflected in the modal split, where the share of car users dominates. Such a problem requires a modern solution, where transport planners can verify the impact of potential transport network improvements on the travel behavior of the residents before the changes are actually deployed. This study aims to demonstrate the usefulness of employing an agent-based simulation tool in the decision process for redesigning an express service regional bus route connecting a network of small cities and towns. The model was initially developed as a Mobility as a Service simulation solution for suburban areas of European metropolises. The model is adapted and applied to a case study for the region of Agder, Norway, simulating the impact of nine different scenarios on the patronage of a specific bus route. The simulation model proposes to upgrade the classic agent structure to a persona profile designed specifically for the case study. The main objective of this research is to identify the scenario that maximizes patronage while minimizing total route travel time and additional costs. The results suggest that the proposed model can be successfully adapted from suburban metropolitan areas to the realities of the considered case study, and potentially other similar regions. Specifically, out of the nine proposed scenarios, the model identified four promising ones. One of the four scenarios also fits the cost constraints imposed by the transport provider. The model provides a solid approach for analyzing complex transport systems that are practically impossible to consider in detail if the analysis is done without computer support. Introduction: A significant proportion of patients remain dissatisfied following total knee arthroplasty (TKA) surgery. Reasons for this are unclear. Contemporary implants seek to mirror innate anatomy. Such innovations are necessarily subject to scrutiny to validate their use. The Zimmer-Biomet Persona® Personalized Knee system is such an anatomic TKA. This work seeks to establish medium term survival data and patient reported outcomes for this implant. Methods: This was a cohort study of prospectively collected data on all patients undergoing Persona TKA at our institution. Patients were managed using a standardised protocol for intra- and post-operative care. Survivorship data were collected using our National Joint Registry and corroborated with local data. Range of motion, Oxford Knee Score (OKS) and patient satisfaction were recorded at six weeks and one year post-operatively. Hip-knee-ankle radiographs were used to record pre- and post-operative alignment. Results: Data were collected for 749 knees in 679 patients. Overall survivorship was 99.0% at a mean 5.35 years, with seven patients undergoing revision surgery during the study period. Significant improvements in the OKS (mean 20.7 points) and range of motion were observed (mean 104.6° at one year). 94.9% of patients were satisfied at one year. Mean correction was to a mechanical femoro-tibial angle of 0.8° varus. Conclusions: We demonstrate excellent medium term survival of the Persona TKA in this large cohort, coupled with improvements in patient reported outcomes, range of motion and patient satisfaction at one year which compare favourably to other implants. Although some have attempted to rethink the subject of technology from the perspective of Søren Kierkegaard's philosophy, there hast not yet been a direct dialogue with the transhumanist position. In this paper, we propose a new approach, understood as a criticism, from the thought of Kierkegaard to transhumanism and its concept of singularity. We, first, analyze the way in which transhumanists understand the concept of singularity and what its limitations are; then, with the help of Kierkegaard's philosophy, we argue that the only possible and real singularity is the human person as a primordial relationship, source of anguish and freedom, sin and love, and spirit. Purpose: This clinical fluoroscopy study investigated knee kinematics of two different cemented fixed‐bearing, posterior‐stabilised (PS) total knee arthroplasty (TKA) designs: an asymmetric tibial component including an asymmetric insert designed to optimise personalised balance and fit and its precursor symmetrical design with symmetric insert. Methods: A consecutive series of patients (16 TKAs from each treatment group) participating in a randomised controlled trial comparing TKA migration was included. The exclusion criterion was the use of walking aids. Flat‐panel fluoroscopic recordings of step‐up and lunge motions were acquired 1‐year postoperatively. Medial and lateral contact points (CPs) were determined to calculate CP displacement, femoral axial rotation and pivot position. Using linear mixed‐effects modelling techniques, kinematics between TKA designs were compared. Results: During knee extension between 20° flexion and full extension, the CPs moved anteriorly combined with a small internal femoral rotation (a screw‐home mechanism). Whereas CP movement was reversed: femoral rollback, external femoral rotation while flexing the knee between full extension and 20° knee flexion, At larger flexion angles, femoral axial rotation (FAR) occurred around a lateral pivot point both during step‐up and lunge. The symmetric design had a 2.3° larger range of FAR compared to the asymmetric design during lunge (p = 0.02). All other kinematics were comparable. Conclusion: Despite the differences in design, this study showed that the asymmetric and symmetric PS TKA designs had mostly comparable knee kinematics during step‐up and lunge motions. It is therefore expected that the functionality of the successor TKA design is similar to that of its precursor design. Level of Evidence: Level II, prospective comparative study. The social care is affected by multidisciplinary work which by its nature fragments the fragility of subjects into segments dictated by the reference disciplines, vulnerability is experienced as a sort of common exploration of border regions. Working with the person, the protagonist of their life project, means observing them in their uniqueness and accompanying them by their subjectivity. Interdisciplinarity focuses on a dialectic between knowledge that starts from a shared vision of the subject. By the proactive experience of working in a team in a Day Center for people with disabilities, we intend to broaden our gaze to enhance the interdisciplinary dialogue between different services and professionals, starting from a humanistic vision of care as a point of ontological convergence of knowledge and skills of pedagogical, social, legal and medical area about a culture of social work transversal to the plurality of knowledge in a trans-disciplinary perspective. The purpose of this article is to give an account of the cultural imprint that nature has for the Mapuche people, and more specifically its normative performance through the so-called Az Mapu, or Mapuche customary code of good living, which involves both humans and non-human beings that are part of nature. For this purpose, ethnographic fieldwork is carried out in the Mapuche communities of Coñaripe, eastern basin of Lake Calafquén, Chile. From this observation, the final considerations reflect on the theoretical performance that the normative imprint of nature in Mapuche culture can have for anthropology. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Although recent sociolinguistic research on high performance has shown that persona construction is multidimensional and context‐specific, little work has explored how interactions between personae affect their shared semiotic landscape. This study focuses on stylistic practices in 2017′s The Rap of China, China's first hip hop‐themed competition show. A quantitative analysis was conducted to describe the rhyming styles of contemporary Chinese rappers. Based on language uses, visual representations, and lyrical themes, we then identify three rapper personae and discuss the semantic dimensions of hip hop authenticity invoked by each persona. Finally, through an analysis of a combative rap performance and reactions to it, we argue that contestation among different personae shapes the ideological landscape of "authentic Chinese hip hop." This work demonstrates the potential of the semiotic landscape as a theoretical tool for the analysis of digital communities and cultural forms. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Este trabajo busca evidenciar la importancia de la noción spinoziana de conatus en la propuesta hermenéutica y ontológica del filósofo francés, analizando de modo específico un importante nodo conceptual del último estudio de Sí mismo como otro. El análisis tendrá particularmente en cuenta los pasajes de la obra de Spinoza que cita, buscando ampliar su comprensión en el contexto en que se encuentran, para ver si, de esta manera, se puede confirmar la mencionada relevancia de la filosofía de Spinoza en la filosofía de Ricoeur.

The present article discusses, in a first step, ground-breaking recent publications on the lyric subject, and dedicates itself, in a second step, to a new concept of lyric persona, which is devised to overcome the constrictions of the categories of subject and subjectivity and to open access of theory to all kinds and eras of lyric poetry from the Old English Seafarer to modern concrete poetry. The first book to be reviewed is Autor und Subjekt im Gedicht. Positionen, Perspektiven und Praktiken heute (2021), a collection of essays which pursues an argumentatively stimulating dialogical strategy. The articles begin with Wolf Schmid's twenty theses on the abstract author, an appropriation of the narratological »implicit« author to the theory of lyric poetry. This statement is followed by a number of articles which alternatingly argue in favour of and against the concept of the abstract author. Peter Hühn, for instance, believes the term to be analytically especially fruitful, while Ralph Müller speaks of it as a »narratological spectre«. It is significant that, using Schmid's term, Rainer Grübel analyzes a number of intriguing modern Russian poems, which he calls hybrid, since he identifies transitions from poetic to quasi reality-related passages and diagnoses concomitant stylistic changes in the texts. The international perspective is then widened by a comprehensive investigation of Russian, German and English terminological traditions. Marion Rutz demonstrates that handbooks and textbooks are by far not compatible. Among other terms she deals with the controversial German term »das lyrische Ich« (the lyric I). An investigation of the use of this term is then afforded by Hermann Korte's examination of the poetry and poetics of Gottfried Benn, Thomas Kling and Durs Grünbein. Subsequently, a group of articles deals with the fate of the subject in recent and current German poetry. Analyzing poems by Sabine Scho, Anne Cotton and Thomas Kling, Friederike Reents verifies, instead of »subject fatigue«, new possibilities of the subject. Analogous insights are gained by Mirjam Springer in her investigation of the lyric portrait and in a politically tempered article by Peter Geist, which discovers examples of varying degrees of imaginative self-construction going together with increasing author-relatedness. The volume concludes with a large-scale philosophically oriented article by Henrieke Stahl which constructs the model of a polymorphous subject based on Heinrich Barth's existential variant of transcendental philosophy. The second publication to be discussed is Varja Balžalorsky Antić's monograph The Lyric Subject. A Reconceptualization (2022), which, though treating roughly the same subject as Autor und Subjekt, is oriented a totally different way. Like the one year previously published work, Antić proceeds from the awareness that the numerous new developments of poetry call for a reconceptualization of the genre and especially of the concept of the subject. In order to clarify the relation between the subject of language and the subject of poetry, she makes wide-ranging excursions into philosophy and discourse theory, which have not been undertaken in that way by other researchers in the field. Antić's treatment of the prehistory of the concept of subjectivity is comprehensive. She erects her edifice of ideas on the basis of the theories of Émile Benveniste, Henri Meschonnic and others. Also, she goes back to Germanophone philosophers and theorists like Friedrich Schleiermacher and Wilhelm von Humboldt. In particular, she emphasizes the development of Benveniste's linguistics of enunciation to Meschonnic's poetics of enunciation, according to which subjectivity does not reside in the lyric persona, but in the »the transsubject, the I-you of enunciation expanded onto all discourse«. In this context Meschonnic's rhythm theory, which has profound ethical implications, is of central importance. Literary works which she subjects to analysis are troubadour poetry, in which she identifies polyphony and internal dialogism and consequently subjectivization, Nerval's sonnet »El Desdichado«, to which she applies Paul Ricœur's dialectic of ipse and idem, and Henri Michaux' long poem »La Ralentie«, in which she identifies »dispersed multiplicity« and simultaneously integrated totality. The last chapter »Recapitulation and Systematization of Subject Configuration« has deserved special attention. Inspired by a short article, »Persona. Its Meaning and Significance«, by James Dowthwaite (2023), the present author elaborates the concept of the lyric persona in the last part of the contribution. The creative capacity of persona is seen to occupy the free space between the empiric author and the finished product. The independence of the persona from the author has a liberating quality, which allows the author a fictional space and a range of possible expressions. The lyric persona can be called the aesthetic and cognitive laboratory between author and poem, which is responsible for the invention of speakers, the use of pronouns and all the formal and aesthetic elements represented in the poem. One advantage of the persona concept is that it has a liberating effect in regard to the overuse of the subject concept, though forms of I-saying are within the reach of the persona. Another advantage is the scope of the term persona. It can be applied from the Old English »Seafarer« to modern concrete poems like Edwin Morgan's »Pomander«. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article focuses, in particular, on the changes brought about in the setting by the presence of the sanitary mask, following a line that begins with the theme of the "mask" in the collective uses of human cultures, and develops through the Jungian concept of persona, as opposed to the "face" that may convey an authentic image of oneself. A clinical vignette illustrates the issues that the mask raises in the setting by obstructing the communication of emotions. When there is no transformative processing of concrete data, "unmasking" can also lead to an uncanny encounter and to moments of darkness and confusion in analysis, when the analyst experiences the kind of "unconscious identity" between therapist and patient that Jung defined as nigredo. The article is intended as a contribution to the analytic community's current reflections on the new and unforeseen challenges encountered in analysis at the time of the Coronavirus. It is possible to learn from these experiences with a view to integrating new elements and thus modify one's own internal setting, the compass with which each analyst orientates himself. The house has become a major object of anthropological research on Amerindian societies. Based on a long-term ethnographic research, this paper aims to make a contribution to this field by focusing on the Ette of northern Colombia, a society whose houses have been commonly considered to represent a simple, elemental architecture. A much more complex image of these buildings emerges by framing them in the simultaneously anthropocentric and anthropomorphic cosmos of the Ette. The houses serve as an index of humanity, a model of the world, and an enclave for environmental management. Furthermore, distinctive human traits are attributed to them, such as a certain substantiality, an anthropomorphic figure, and a life cycle of growth and decay. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article is an attempt to analyze the process of individuation of the main character. The process of individuation means to know oneself. The novel is the main source of data collection. Books, research articles are secondary sources. This research is qualitative. Research approach is inductive. Research technique is interpretive content analysis. The current study indicates that psychological strength of all human beings is intertwined with the socially undesirable contents of personality. By embracing these unwelcome parts, the search for the self is nearly completed. The search for self-identity is important and cannot be ignored. A person suffers from mental, physical and social issues due to lack of attention to the self and his lack of ability to recognize and integrate the opposites of good and bad in the form of "persona", "shadow" and the likes in him. The purpose of the paper is to study the images of the platonic and courtly in the protagonist’s personal relations with God in J. Donne’s “Holy Sonnets” in the context of the connection with the Petrarchan tradition. In order to accomplish this, a complex approach including elements of biographical, genealogical, typological, hermeneutic, comparative, and structural-semiotic methods of literary analysis has been used. The views of literary critics on the sources of the “Holy Sonnets” (Christian meditative practices, Bible books, traditions of English religious lyrics) have been reviewed, their connection with the Petrarchan poetic tradition has been pointed out and, in this context, one of the possible interpretations of J. Donne’s sonnet sequence has been proposed. It has been shown that three poems of the sequence – XIV, XVII and XIX – are especially important and conceptual for understanding the evolution of the protagonist’s relations with God in the “Holy Sonnets”. In the first of them, feeling his own weakness and impossibility to overcome the devil, J. Donne’s persona begs the Lord to win back his heart from the enemy, using a broad palette of military metaphors typical to the Petrarchan lyrics. However, the Lord, who in sonnets I – XIII is depicted in a Petrarchan manner as distant and completely deaf to the protagonist’s pleas, remains indifferent. In sonnet XVII, which looks similar to the lyrical texts of the “Canzoniere” dedicated to Laura’s death, a notable change in the relationship between the characters takes place. As in the Italian humanist’s poems, the life path of J. Donne’s persona finally turns to heaven after the death of his beloved, and he begins to feel that the loss of earthly love is compensated by the gaining of the Divine one. However, his further relations with God, once again, seem to be built according to the Petrarchan model, most fully described in the last text of the sequence. The sonnet XIX demonstrates all the complexity of the relationship between a human being and the Lord. J. Donne’s persona is constantly dominated by conflicting feelings and emotions, which generally correlates with Petrarchan understanding of the ambivalence of love, best shown by F. Petrarch in the sonnets CXXXII and CXXXIV. Moreover, the poetic vocabulary used by J. Donne in this poem indicates the specific character of his persona’s relations with God, which are supposed to have signs of courtly love, courtly bowing-service. It has been summed up that the protagonist’s relations with the Lord in the “Holy Sonnets” might be interpreted as generally built on the same principles that are immanent in the concept of love in the poetry of Petrarchism. The persona of the English poet, as well as the traditional hero of Petrarchan texts, also suffers from unrequited feelings, longs for reciprocity with all his heart, and, in addition, speaks in the specific metaphorical language. Even if the linguistic practice utilized by the author cannot be considered exclusively Petrarchan, since a similar rhetorical code, in which the experience of spiritual communication with the Lord was described with the help of erotic images, was widely used by the Christian mystics, the sonnet poetic structure is canonical for Petrarchan lyrical discourse and require following the established rules not only in terms of form, but also in terms of content. This article examines the preoccupation with failure that pervades Cynthia Ozick's essays. Ozick regularly presents herself in her public statements as obscure, unread, and soon to be forgotten; in essays and interviews she habitually returns to a period in her twenties and thirties when she labored in vain to get published. Ozick's concern with the youthful literary success that eluded her is the visible edge of a larger fascination with failure that spirals through her essays. Whether comically underscoring the incompetence with which writers approach the ordinary tasks of life or meditating more somberly on the waning of fame and the difficulties of achieving cultural permanence, Ozick finds marginality, failure, and falling short as fundamental to literary creation. In 2018, American developer Riot Games introduced their new musical venture - K-pop virtual band K/DA - through a live augmented reality performance opening the League of Legends World Championship Finals. The band's first single - POP/STARS - quickly became a hit even outside of gaming circles, leading the developers to stage a follow-up in 2020, when the band released a full EP titled ALL OUT. This article examines the evolution of the virtual band and its members as virtual characters, personas, and performers, at the intersection of discourses surrounding popular music, videogames, and hallyu. By combining perspectives from transmedial narratology and musicology, this article explores how the notion of a "personal storyworld" can offer new opportunities for understanding the transmedial processes whereby pop artists' personas are continually (re-)constructed and (re-)negotiated through and across myriad points of contact between artists and audiences. Emphasis is placed on the performative potential of audiovisual aesthetics and public posturing, on the one hand, and on audiences' interpretive flexibility, on the other. These related themes are addressed through a case study of an artist who aptly exemplifies the continual transfiguration of pop personas, namely Justin Bieber. The main part of the case study concerns how Bieber's sixth studio album, Justice (2021), and associated material (music videos, live performances, interviews, promotional material, social media posts) related to and formed part of his broader personal storyworld. This sets up an exploration of how the dynamics between retrospection and reinvention shape the reframing of personas, which raises a series of questions concerning the dialectic between continuity and change, artist-audience dynamics, and transmedial processes of interpretation. Travel is an intrinsic aspect of human existence. From the first explorations of new territories to modern-day secular travels, the act of moving across spaces shapes individuals and societies. This paper looks into the theme of travel in Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness from the point of view of Jungian analytical psychology. It focuses on the impact of travel on the protagonist, Marlow. Drawing on Jungian concepts such as the unconscious, archetypes, active imagination, and synchronicity, we study the symbolic layers of Marlow's journey. We also touch on the historical evolution of travel, modern perspectives on secular travels, and the spiritual dimension of inner journeys. Marlow's expedition through the Congo River highlights the intricate interplay between the inner and outer realities emphasizing the broader human quest for self-discovery and growth.

La categoría de derecho subjetivo es ajena a las culturas de las que procede la tradición jurídica europea occidental (es decir, la cultura judía, así como la griega y la latina), del mismo modo que es ajena a otras tradiciones jurídicas (como la china, la india y la islámica). Sólo se puede empezar a hablar de la elaboración de una categoría de derechos subjetivos a partir del siglo XVIII, cuando, en el contexto cultural europeo de la época, la concepción realista del derecho (la de Aristóteles, los juristas romanos y Tomás de Aquino, para entendernos) fue progresivamente sustituida por una concepción subjetivista e individualista, basada en la idea del poder del individuo. El particular trasfondo individualista, en el que nació la teoría de los derechos subjetivos, explica la posición inicialmente adoptada por el magisterio de la Iglesia católica, que no aceptó la Declaración de los Derechos del Hombre y del Ciudadano, proclamada por la Asamblea Nacional Francesa el 26 de agosto de 1789, y posteriormente, durante cerca de un siglo, mantuvo una posición cerrada con respecto a estos derechos. La cuestión es que, como ha puesto de manifiesto el magisterio social de los papas del siglo pasado, la perspectiva antropológica cristiana excluye la posibilidad de considerar a la persona en su individualidad absoluta y solitaria, construida por sí misma y sólo sobre sí misma, una entidad anómica indiferente a los demás. Del mismo modo, excluye que se pueda definir a la persona como un elemento de un engranaje o como una célula de un organismo cuya función vendría dada por el fin (que, respectivamente, persigue la máquina o el organismo). Según el pensamiento social cristiano, el individualismo tiende a promover la anomia, mientras que el funcionalismo y el organicismo se resuelven en el corporativismo, por tanto, ninguna de estas soluciones al problema del orden social parece suficientemente sólida para contrarrestar la deriva totalitaria. Sobre el tema de los derechos de la persona humana, el pensamiento social cristiano saca a la luz un enfoque original basado en la noción de dignidad de la persona humana: creada a imagen de Dios, inserta en las relaciones con los demás, en interacción con los bienes del universo. Por tanto, la tradición de los derechos, que inspira el pensamiento social cristiano, no es la tradición libertaria-individualista, ni siquiera la colectivista, sino la tradición dignitaria. El pensamiento social cristiano puede aportar una valiosa contribución en la búsqueda de soluciones a algunos problemas espinosos que siempre han acompañado a la doctrina de los derechos de la persona humana, en particular el problema de la determinación de los derechos individuales, así como de su fundamento y universalidad.

El presente artículo aspira a profundizar el entendimiento sobre la dignidad humana a partir de la mirada de siete autores especialistas en la temática. Dicho propósito nos obliga a indagar sobre: la forma de aproximarse al concepto de dignidad humana, los fundamentos en los que apoyan su noción, el papel que le asignan a la dignidad humana y los valores preponderantes en sus pensamientos. Plasmar en un mismo artículo el abordaje de los distintos autores sobre la cuestión facilita un ejercicio de contrastación, direccionado a encontrar puntos de encuentro y discrepancias en pro de discernir si existe algún elemento concreto que trasciende a todas las teorías presentadas.

Sociolinguists and lay people have long been interested in the mechanisms by which dialect and speaker identification occur. The current study aims to test whether realizational differences found in production studies are salient factors in identification of different lects, as well as to examine differences between groups in identification. In this study, listeners were instructed to match clips containing H* and L+H* pitch accents with specific personae who represented speakers of five lects of interest (African American English, Jewish English, Appalachian English, Southern English, and Midwestern English). Listeners from different groups (Appalachian, African American, Jewish, and those who were not from any of these groups) were presented with both low-pass filtered and unfiltered versions of the clips. Results indicate that listeners performed at or above chance in the unfiltered condition. However, we did observe a consistent pattern such that listeners confused AAE and JE voices, as well as Appalachian and Southern voices, indicating that listeners may struggle to differentiate lects with similar historical development and/or prosodic patterns. Additionally, listeners showed sensitivity to the original lect in selecting a persona in the filtered condition, though they were less accurate overall compared to the unfiltered condition. Overall, listeners appear to be more sensitive to segmental phonological than prosodic information in lect identification. Additionally, when presented with a personae matching task, listeners from a variety of backgrounds perform with a high degree of accuracy, though examining patterns of confusion help to shed light on the variables that are most salient.

Der Artikel stellt das Konzept der Prägnanz als zeitgemäße Möglichkeit vor, Verbreitungsmechanismen von Textstellen im digitalen Zeitalter beobachtbar zu machen. Prägnanz wird dazu bestimmt als die Disposition einer Textstelle zu invarianter Merkbarkeit und diskursiver Mobilität. Am Beispiel von Shirin Davids populärem Slogan „Lieben wir“ zeigt der Artikel, wie Prägnanzpotenziale in Texten disponiert werden. Ein besonderes Augenmerk fällt dabei auf zwei Aspekte, die im klassischen Lyrikunterricht eine eher untergeordnete Rolle spielen, nämlich die Personaeinschreibung und die pragmatische Dimension. Beide scheinen dabei kennzeichnend für den rezenten Mediendiskurs. Der Artikel argumentiert daher, dass die Reflexion einer Poetik der Prägnanz maßgeblich zu einer Steigerung der Medienreflexionskompetenz von Schülerinnen und Schülern beitragen kann. Abstract (english): Hashtags, Slogans, Memes and Co. – On The Effect of Concise Text Sections in The Digital Age Using Shirin David‘s “Lieben Wir” as an Example The article presents the concept of conciseness as a contemporary way of making the distribution mechanisms of text passages observable in the digital age. Conciseness is defined as the disposition of a text passage to invariant memorability and discursive mobility. Using Shirin David‘s popular slogan „Lieben wir“ as an example, the article shows how concise potentials are arranged in texts. Particular attention is paid to two aspects that play a rather subordinate role in classical poetry lessons, namely the persona inscription and the pragmatic dimension. Both seem characteristic of the recent media discourse. The article therefore argues that reflecting on the poetics of conciseness can contribute significantly to increasing the competence for media reflection of students.

Abstract Urban mobility contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions and comes with negative social impacts for various groups, such as limited accessibility to opportunity or basic services. Transitions towards sustainable and people-centred urban mobility systems are paramount. Yet, this is accompanied by various challenges. Complex urban systems are accompanied by high uncertainties (e.g., technological progress, demographics, climate change) which are currently not well integrated. Possible solutions originate from design, policymaking, and innovation, with a widespread disconnection due to non-compatible methods. This paper presents a method to improve the ability to design future urban mobility systems by integrating different approaches for modelling what the future could be and who could be the users. The research question is how diverse future user needs can be integrated in design processes for urban mobility systems. The proposed scenario-based design and personas allows to create data-driven proto-personas—a set of archetypical users with assigned characteristics and behaviours—test their validity, derive distributions across geographical areas, and transform them for different 2030 scenarios. This serves as input to create full personas and synthetic populations as intermediary design objects for the collaboration of designers and simulation experts. The methodology is exemplarily applied in the context of Paris. It contributes to urban mobility solution design that is more aware of future uncertainty and diverse needs of users, therefore, better capable to respond to today’s challenges.
