Assistive technologies nowadays have an increasing application in overcoming the everyday needs of visually impaired persons. Going to the grocery store for groceries is a challenge for any visually impaired person who moves without a personal assistant. Creating a perception of the space in which the person is located and the possibility of orientation in such an environment is significantly reduced. The solutions and services currently available are based solely on reading products using some form of assistive technology. In this research, user needs were analyzed to define the necessary information to master the shopping process. The research aims to define a conceptual system architecture to deliver InnIoTShop information service to users moving through smart stores. The proposed architecture is based on the IoT concept, and an InnIoTShop service taxonomy has been created for this service. For data collection, processing, and fusion, the concept of Fog/Cloud Computing and M2M and M2H technology was used, which enables the adaptation of information to visually impaired persons. The everyday needs of people with disabilities represent a challenge in designing new and innovative services. The capabilities provided by modern communication technologies designed by assistive technology models can help people with disabilities perform their work tasks. The user environment has to be adapted to the guidelines of the universal design and services should be available regardless of user requirements. This paper proposes a conceptual model for informing the people with disabilities regardless of the disability degree using a smart wearable device (smart wristband). All relevant information is integrated through the warehouse management system to efficiently perform all the appropriate processes. Activity of informing users is viewed from multiple scenarios, the work environment and work tasks. For the purpose of real-time informing, industrial internet of things environment and appropriate sensors were used. Informing the users about their environment is of extreme importance for their full and independent functioning in the traffic system. Today's development of technology provides the user the access to information about their environment by using the smartphone device at any moment if there is a defined applicative solution. For this, it is necessary to define the user's environment according to the Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) concept, which understands adequate technology of gathering, processing and distribution of information. This paper presents the proposal of the solution for informing the traffic network users about the environment for the defined group of users based on the beacon technology. The mentioned solution is based on the results of two separate studies about the needs of users who move along a part of the traffic network. The information about the environment and the precise guidance of visually impaired people is the basis for their safe movement of the traffic network. Therefore, the information and communication services should be adapted to this group of users. The services based on the advanced information and communication technologies provide the visually impaired persons with information about the environment while moving along the traffic network. This paper analyses the currently available information systems of users when moving traffic network, and the currently most services based on new ICT (Information and Communications Technology). The analysis was carried on a representative sample of the City of Zagreb (Croatia) in involving all interest groups of visually impaired people. Based on defined user requirements is proposed a new services based on NFC (Near Field Communication) and RTLS (Real-Time Locating Systems). Testing and analysing the efficiency of single information and communication technologies have been performed on the actual traffic network system of the City of Zagreb. The movement of the blind and visually impaired persons in the traffic network is today based exclusively on the application of aids (white cane) and methods that the users learn during the training of orientation and movement. In present paper authors investigate accessibility of information and communication technologies and services with the purpose of increasing the mobility level of the blind and visually impaired persons when moving in the traffic network of the City of Zagreb. The traffic intersections were analysed from the viewpoint of difficult-to-master for independent movement by using the basic methods of crossing a traffic intersection which the users acquire at the training of orientation and movement. The method of survey and interviews with a target group of users was used to evaluate all the relevant parameters of guidance and navigation resulting from the mentioned analyses and by performing training of orientation and movement in the duration of six months. Based on the carried out research and the used scientific methods the dynamic model has been defined and it is based on relevant parameters of guidance and navigation, and on the application of the information and communication technologies and services. The information provided to the user, by the system, is defined according to the currently available technologies. In the scenarios of specific conditions and crises such as the coronavirus pandemic, the availability of e-learning ecosystem elements is further highlighted. The growing importance for securing such an ecosystem can be seen from DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks on e-learning components of the Croatian e-learning system. The negative impact of the conducted attack is visible in numerous users who were prevented from participating in and implementing the planned teaching process. Network anomalies such as conducted DDoS attacks were identified as one of the crucial threats to the e-learning systems. In this paper, an overview of the network anomaly phenomenon was given and botnets' role in generating DDoS attacks, especially IoT device impact. The paper analyzes the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the e-learning systems in Croatia. Based on the conclusions, a research methodology has been proposed to develop a cyber-threat detection model that considers the specifics of the application of e-learning systems in crisis, distinguishing flash crowd events from anomalies in the communication network. The proposed methodology includes establishing a theoretical basis on DDoS and flash crowd event traffic, defining a laboratory testbed setup for data acquisition, development of DDoS detection model, and testing the applicability of the developed model on the case study. The implementation of the proposed methodology can improve the quality of the teaching process through timely DDoS detection and it gives other socio-economic contributions such as developing a specific research domain, publicly available dataset of network traffic, and raising the cyber-security of the e-learning systems. The problem of detecting anomalies in network traffic caused by the distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack so far has mainly been investigated in terms of detection of illegitimate DDoS traffic generated by conventional terminal devices (PCs, laptops, mobile devices, tablets, servers). Technological development has resulted in the emergence of the Internet of Things (IoT) concept, whose implementation implies numerous terminal devices with a low level of implemented protection. The large growth and prediction of future growth is noticeable in the environment of a smart home and smart office. IoT devices in such environments are increasingly being used as a platform for generating DDoS traffic due to its numeracy and low level of protection. The aim of this research is to propose a novel approach for detection of DDoS traffic generated by IoT devices in a form of conceptual network anomaly detection model. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a broad concept that encompasses a variety of technologies and applications. As a result, having a comprehensive understanding of the future developments and deployment of this concept in various lateral and vertical markets and following future trend projections is critical. In this way, future studies might focus on numerous issues in areas where the Internet of Things is most widely used. This study focuses on the smart home setting, one of the most prevalent and fastest-growing applications of the Internet of Things idea. This field's current and future growth tendencies have been proven in many categories and capabilities of IoT devices such as comfort and lighting, energy, security, monitoring, media, and household appliances. The number of devices in use, houses with at least one IoT device, total revenue, and market value are increasing. With the positive growth trend of the smart home, the concept of cybersecurity is becoming one of the most critical issues whose overview we included in this research. Research results indicate several cybersecurity challenges raised due to the fast-growing trend of smart home concept that needs to be addressed in the future to prevent users' privacy and usability of various end devices in such environment. The number of people who use the Internet daily is steadily increasing. It makes daily chores easier and faster to do, but it also increases the danger of cyberattacks. Web-based solutions are frequently used to connect with manufacturing process monitoring, management, and supply chain communication in contemporary manufacturing systems and under Industry 4.0. Cross-Site Scripting assaults are one of the most widespread cyberattacks (XSS) forms. XSS attacks are examined in this study to provide a good foundation for attack simulation. The simulation was carried out with the help of the BeEF XSS framework. A basic HTML web page was developed to construct the malicious script for the simulation. The simulation data were gathered and evaluated to provide guidelines for preventing XSS attacks on end-users and Industry 4.0-like systems. This study provides reliable recommendations for improving end-user resilience against XSS attacks, which can help to mitigate the harmful impact of such attacks on Industry 4.0 systems.
