In the digital age we live in today, fan engagement is more important than ever. With so many distractions competing for people's attention online, teams and athletes must find ways to capture the attention of their fans. Professional sports would not exist without engaged fans as we know it today. In the paper "Exploring the factors that can stimulate fan engagement in conditions of low sports performance" we begin with a brief description of this phenomenon of fan engagement and its importance within any sports organization, and how fans have had to keep up with the digital age. In the end, a small study is presented on the factors that contribute to maintaining the relationship with the fans even when the team or the athlete has a period with lower performances.

Fans are, more often than not, individuals who focus all their attention and energy in a specific direction. Fans don’t leave the TV, no matter what happens. They defend their favorites at all costs. And when a fan is present, anything can happen. In the paper "Maintaining Fan Engagement in Cases of Low Sports Performance", we provide a brief overview of the concept of sports fans, the unexpected influence they can have over a team or club, and we conclude the article with a small survey conducted among a group of fans to determine if there are any changes in their behavior when their favorite team or athlete experiences periods of reduced performance.

The Nigerian construction industry is faced with environmental degradation, economic and social-related challenges, in which Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) could be regarded as practical solution. Sadly, many construction professionals and stakeholders are reluctant to adopt this innovative approach in developing countries like Nigeria. This informs the necessity to investigate the relationships between MiC indicators and performance metrics with a survey of professionals with practical experience in the use of MiC in executing infrastructure in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria. The data retrieved from the respondents were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. Pearson correlation was used to determine the relationships between MiC indicators and performance in this study. The results of the analysis revealed that both procedural and internal MiC indicators are significant to enhancing economic, environmental, and social performance. In addition, it has been demonstrated that the impact of MiC is extremely beneficial in all construction ramifications for sustainable practice. Based on the findings of this study, it is suggested that massive awareness campaigns regarding the necessity of using technology in construction activities be launched among professionals and stakeholders in the construction industry to enhance the use of MiC in the Nigerian construction industry.

- Abstract
"The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of acute psychological stress on cognitive performance. Psychological stress evolves from the perceived presence of a social-evaluative threat and results in the activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis. As part of this reaction the stress hormone cortisol is secreted into the blood stream, ultimately crossing the blood-brain barrier, where it can have profound effects on various aspects of cognition. A review of the literature reveals that that attention, working memory, spatial judgment and cognitive processing efficiency are particularly susceptible to stress induced changes in performance level. A test battery from the Automated Neuropsychological Assessment Metrics library was utilized to test these aspects of cognition under basal and stressed conditions. Specifically, the Manikin task, Mathematical processing task and Switching task were utilized. The Trier Social Stress Test protocol was employed to induce psychosocial stress reaction in participants. Eight male volunteers were recruited as participants for this study and a within subjects design was used. Participants demonstrated significantly elevated salivary cortisol concentrations following exposure to the stress manipulation, suggesting that the Trier Social Stress Test was successful at eliciting a psychosocial stress response amongst participants. In the Stressed condition performance on the Manikin task demonstrated a reduction in response latency and an increase throughput, calculated as an accuracy-speed ratio. Performance on the Switching task also demonstrated a reduction in response latency in the Stressed condition. These findings lend support to the theory that performance under stress follows an inverted-U shaped curve as cognitive performance improved under moderate amounts of stress."--Leaf iv.

Organisational culture is a reality, even in military organisations, that needs to be considered and constantly reflected upon in order to improve it. In this context, this study addresses the linkage of three organisational processes that are specific to all organisations and, in our case, to the military organisation, namely organisational culture, organisational effectiveness, and organisational efficiency, elements that tend toward a high-performance structure. When organisational culture is at a high level, well defined, and implicitly mature, it refers to a set of accepted values and behaviours that support the achievement of organisational goals and have an impact on personnel, including a direct and immediate impact on multiplying the military's individual and collective performance on missions.Organisational change in the military, and therefore change in military organisational culture, is a constant and inevitable necessity and requirement, but managing change in the military organisation requires an effort to evolve in the direction of developments in the international security environment, which is difficult in the context of the unpredictable evolution of the war in Ukraine.Organisational culture is defined by norms, values, and attitudes that influence the behaviour of the military and thus become a multiplier for the effectiveness and efficiency of the military organisation.

The objective of this study is to investigate the extent to which students' levels of self-efficacy are correlated with their levels of success in speaking skill assessments of the students of MAN 1 Madiun. The research method used quantitative research. The population in this study are all the eleventh grade students. The sample for this study are students from class XI MIA 2 consists of 22 students. The researcher uses using purposive sampling technique. The researcher uses questionnaires to students to determine the level of students’ self-efficacy and uses speaking test. Pearson Product Moment (r) formula using t-test is used in this research. The results show that the highest score is 95. Meanwhile, the lowest score is 82. The result of the Pearson product moment correlation is.052 with a negative sign. The conclusion that can be drawn from these findings is that there is a negative correlation between speaking ability and self-efficacy, as well as the results of significance levels above 0.05.This is what causes scores on students to be lacking. Besides self-efficacy, it has a very positive effect on each student. The implication of this research is to describe the correlation between students’ self-efficacy and their performance in speaking skill so the teacher and other researchers can get information related with that.

Albania has passed a period of three decades in the shift from a centralized to a market economy. In this context, the public sector is confronted by structural changes at the institutional level and the extension and improvement of public services.Electronic services’ quality is a critical issue for the failure or success of e-government objectives. It promotes government efficiency and effectiveness, citizen engagement, and satisfaction. The trend to use electronic services in Albania is similarly driven by efforts to reduce public sector corruption, improve service performance, and reduce costs. The goal of this paper is to evaluate the citizen’s perception of the importance and the quality of e-services provision by the e-Albania gateway, as well as obstacles and challenges of the future. Based on the main types of services provided by the e-Albania platform, twelve indicators were considered. The survey took place in Albania (Tirana region), wherein 190 questionnaires are applied. The main reason for this selection is that Tirana is the largest region of the country, with about 50% of the population concentration and the highest number of users of the government electronic platform. The variables used are qualitative variables and were measured according to the Likert scale (1–5 estimation, from 1–strongly disagree to 5–strongly agree). Each of the main variables is explained and measured through the evaluation of three to five explanatory questions. Through the SPSS program, cluster analysis was used to evaluate the main variables.By analyzing the collected data, it turns out that there is an obvious increase in the number of public services offered, as well as the perception of citizens for the e-services provided by the government platform.

In an interview with Gonzalo León, Camila Sosa assured that the "transwriters" are beginning to write in a new and particular way: using the first person, their own voice. This new movement that is conquering the writing of transsexual authors motivates the use of the writings of the self as a kind of strategy with which it is intended to conquer social recognition that has been denied until now. Thus, the autobiography favors the awareness and position taking of an entire group and, in turn, ceases to be conceived as a scriptural product of memory to compose an entire aesthetic-discursive ruse that shows the fissures of the gender binary. Compared to a traditional turbine (Kaplan, Francis, Pelton), pumps operated as turbine are a good alternative for micro hydroelectric power plants thanks to their low cost and easy availability. This paper presents a review of the most challenging aspects of the pump as turbine: prediction and improvement in turbine mode. First, an explanation of the theory of the pump as turbine focused on the functioning, types of pumps, selection criteria and performance predictions as shown in the literature, giving also methodologies and details on the pump as turbine selection. Afterwards, the literature shows the instabilities produced by the operation of the pumps on inverse mode, which generates S-shape curves and cavitation. Finally, as the main focus of this paper, aspects of efficiency produced by geometric parameters were discussed. Current trends and future scope for further improvement and implementation of pump as turbine are also discussed.

This study aims to describe one of the political efforts of legal reform in the field of justice in Indonesia. This research describes that the presence or existence of norms that look at commissioner judges in preliminary examinations is part of an effort to prevent the possibility of the practice of abuse of roles or authorities that can damage the building of the criminal justice system with the modus operandi of violating the rights of suspects, whose role is more specific and has a value of certainty. compared to the role of judges in pretrial as it is today. This type of research in the problem of commissioner judges related to the ideals of legal reform is classified as normative juridical research or doctrinal research. The result obtained is that the existence of this commissioner judge is idealized to have a major impact on the reform of the performance model carried out by law enforcement officers at the fundamental level (investigation and investigation). The pattern of "judicial patronage" which can be understood as a pattern of placing law enforcement officers as masters, while suspects as objects, helpless figures, or "slaves" in the implementation of the criminal justice system, becomes an old disease or condition that reduces the conduciveness and progress of criminal justice, which by the role of the commissioner judge, is idealized to be curable.

Communication is a complex process aiming beside the transfer of information, to the creation of meaning and understanding. Meaning and understanding will never be truly attained and developed without feedback. Feedback, be it positive or negative, is the element that completes communication. In this paper we shall try to discuss upward negative feedback and what it entails, what happens when it exists and is used within an organization and what the consequences are when it is absent or disregarded. Upward negative feedback is the most delicate type of feedback since it is provided by subordinates to superiors. Upward feedback is valuable and necessary in the decision making and problem solving processes unfortunately, information is frequently distorted due to the intricate manner it reaches top levels, especially in the organizational cultures which are very hierarchical and centralized and the impact alters..

Four promising varieties of sugarcane, along with the commercial variety, GT54/9 were evaluated for yield, yield components, and quality traits. The environments were different ages of harvest time (11, 12, and 13 months old) of two plant cane crops (2-years) at El-Mattana Agriculture Research Station farm during (2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons). The stability analysis of studied traits was performed. The results indicated that the promising varieties, environments, and their interaction had a highly significant effect on all studied traits in both the seasons except the age at the harvest time on purity in both seasons, the effect of the interaction on sucrose as well as a pol in second season only and on fiber in the first season only. It is obvious from the results that none of the tested varieties was superior to GT 54/9 for cane and sugar yield and stable implying the necessity of widening the genetic base to produce improved promising varieties. The stability analysis showed that GT 54/9 variety was stable for stalk height, stalk diameter, brix, reducing sugar, and fiber and recorded the highest cane yield and sugar yield. G2003/49 was stable for cane yield, sugar yield, brix, pol, and fiber. It ranked third in cane yield and the second sugar yield. The variety G2003/47 was stable for stalk diameter, sucrose, sugar recovery, and fiber and ranked fourth for cane yield and the third rank for sugar yield. G2004/26 was stable for stalk diameter, cane yield, reducing sugar, and fiber. It occupied the second and third ranks for cane yield and sugar yield respectively. G84/47 variety was stable for cane yield, sugar yield, brix, sucrose and fiber and ranked last for cane and sugar yield.

This study seeks to investigate self-efficacy on job performance through the role of work anxiety and intrinsic motivation. The research sample consisted of 83 employees and ten leaders on the STIEM Bongaya campus, and data analysis used Warp PLS 7.0. This study does not support the hypothesis that the better the self-efficacy, the higher the job performance. So, as a practical implication, self-efficacy is not the main determining factor in determining the value of job performance in tertiary institutions. Interestingly, self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on work anxiety, and subsequently, job performance is getting better. It was found that the better the self-efficacy, the better the intrinsic motivation, and the better job performance. Hence, the role of work anxiety and intrinsic motivation as a complete mediation variable. The higher the self-efficacy, the higher the anxiety and the higher the job performance, but the impact is not significant or significant. Furthermore, the better the self-efficacy, the higher the intrinsic motivation and higher job performance, but the impact is not significant.

- Abstract
Theoretical work on auctions has shown conceptual benefits of awarding contracts to the bidderoffering the best combination of price and quality rather than the lowest bidder.Correspondingly, EU policy on public procurement promotes such multi-criteria bid evaluation, which is already common in Europe. However, very few empirical studies have examined theeffects of this policy. This study analyzes panel data on monitored quality in Swedish publicbus service contracts awarded using either mechanism. We do not find that the studiedimplementations of award mechanisms perform differently and conclude that the superiority ofthe currently promoted mechanism remains uncertain., QC 20230824

The article scrutinizes some female characters in four poems of the Scottish poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy. Starting from the issue of gender construction and feminist theories, the author then shifts the focus onto the deconstruction and then re-writing of identities. The “Dreadful Dolls” of the title are women struggling to regain control of their bodies, and lives. The author points out how these women change their own body nature and appearance to determine the effects on those who claim power over them. These heroines become aware of the power of their gaze, which they use as a weapon or as a shield. They even manipulate their attire in order to reveal or, contrarily, to hide something about themselves. In this work, the author presents women performing the re-writing of their identity and power.

This work is an energy study of an organic Rankine cycle (ORC) for the recovery of thermal energy by comparing three organic fluids. This cycle is considered to be a promising cycle for the conversion of heat into mechanical energy suitable for low temperature heat sources; it uses more volatile organic fluids than water, which generally has high molecular weights, thus allowing operating pressures at temperatures lower than those of the traditional Rankine cycle. A thermodynamic model was developed using the Engineering Equation Solver (EES) software to determine its performance using different working fluids (toluene, R245fa and R123) under the same operating conditions, taking into account the effect of certain operating parameters and the selection of organic fluids on cycle performance. The results obtained show that the toluene organic fluid has the best thermal efficiency of the cycle compared to the other fluids; 14.38% for toluene, 13.68% for R123 and 13.19 for R245fa.

Abstract Introduction: Medical equipment plays a key role in diagnosis, treatment, and medical education. Outsourcing is delegating a part or all activities of an organization to a party (individuals or organizations) outside the organization, which has an important role in the organization's productivity. The current study aimed to investigate the effect of outsourcing the department of medical equipment of a university hospital in the city of Tehran by emphasizing cost and profit as well as performance. Method: This is a descriptive-analytical and cross-sectional study. We investigated documents and financial records of the financial office in order to obtain costs and revenue. Also, a researcher-developed questionnaire was used to evaluate the effect of outsourcing on employees' performance. A total of 36 subjects were randomly selected, following the sampling formula (the response rate was 72%). The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was applied to test for a normal distribution. As data were not normally distributed, the Wilcoxon test was used. Also, t-test and ANOVA were used to study the difference in the effect of outsourcing and age, gender, and educational level. Data were analyzed using SPSS. Results: According to the findings, there was a significant difference before and after outsourcing concerning the cost and revenue of the medical equipment department. Concerning the effect of outsourcing on the performance, "human resources factor" obtained the highest mean (3.37), which indicates the poor perspective of the staff in this aspect. Also, the lowest score was related to the "cost-effectiveness" (2.96), which is an average score. We found weak scores concerning dimensions of management (3.28) and quality of services (3.36). Conclusion: Considering the importance of staff in the hospital, it is necessary to pay serious attention to the impact of different types of reforms intended to increase the revenue and reducing the costs of hospitals on the staff of the organization by emphasizing managerial and human resources dimensions, which not only will increase the efficiency of the organization and satisfaction of the staff, but also translates into better quality. The essential oil of alfavaca (Ocimum gratissimum) contains important compounds, such as 1.8-cineol and eugenol. This study evaluated the effects of diets containing alfavaca essential oil on the zootechnical performance, plasma glucose, leukocyte respiratory activity, haematology, and intestinal histomorphometry in “cachara” (Pseudoplatystoma reticulatum) challenged with Aeromonas hydrophila. A total of 300 juvenile fish, with an average total length of 14.98 ± 0.28 cm and average weight of 18.84 ± 1.22 g, distributed in 20 tanks of 80 L, were fed twice a day with a diet containing essential oil at 0.5, 1.0, or 1.5% or without its inclusion in five replicates. After 45 days, blood collection and mid-intestinal bowel were sampled, before a challenge with Aeromonas hydrophila was performed. The fish supplemented with 1.0% of essential oil presented better weight gain, mean corpuscular volume, concentration of thrombotic and neutrophils, respiratory activity of leukocytes, and height of villi (p < 0.05) when compared to other groups. The cumulative mortality response was lower for fish fed 1.5% essential oil of alfavaca diets. Thus, the use of alfavaca essential oil is recommended in the diet of cachara catfish (P. reticulatum) at the level of up to 1.0% for 45 days for improvements in the zootechnical, haematological, and intestinal histomorphometric parameters.

Organizations depend on the output of their employees to attain their organizational goals through sustainable competitive advantage. Individuals’ outcomes are an indicator of this. Thus, contextual factors may be directly or indirectly related to employee performance. One of these factors is leader-follower cultural fi t. Considering that a leader can also shape the organizational culture, the fi t between the leader’s and his/her followers’ values can be transformed into a high-performance outcome. Since personal values are shaped by one’s culture of origin, employees who observe, assess, and judge their leader according to their own values reflect on how congruent their perceived values are with those of their leader and act accordingly. By utilizing convenience sampling procedures, this research surveyed 202 full-time employees working in public institutions and organizations in Istanbul and its districts. The theoretical model was tested by moderated mediation analyses based on bootstrap methods. The research results revealed the collectivist traits of the region under analysis and indicate that individualistic tendencies may also be present. We found support to our theoretical model.

A Counter Rotating Turbine (CRT) is an axial flow turbine with a nozzle followed by two rotors that rotate in the opposite direction of each other. Axial gap is an important parameter that affects the performance of turbine stage. Current work contains computationally analyzing the flow physics and performance of CRT with the axial gaps of 15, 30, 50 and 70% of the mean axial chord. Turbine components nozzle and the two rotors are modeled for all the axial gaps of CRT. At nozzle inlet, total pressure is taken as boundary condition and at rotor 2 outlet, mass flow rate is specified. Total pressure, entropy and TKE contours plotted at the inlet and outlet of the blade rows are utilized to analyze the effect of axial gap. Mass flow average distributions of entropy, TKE and relative stagnation pressure loss drawn at rotor 1 and rotor 2 outlets estimate the changes in flow losses with respect to axial gap. The intermediate axial gap of x/a = 0.3 is found to be beneficial for CRT for most of the flow rates. Also, it is found that the smallest and the largest gap cases are showing comparable performance. Thus, results confirm the influence of axial gap on the flow behavior and performance of CRT.
