This study aims to give an understanding about what are the main reasons that are taken in consideration by foreign students in their decision to stay or leave the country where they have completed their studies. Based on literature review a survey was built and sent to students of different nationalities, which focused on the main dimensions valued by an individual when choosing a place to live. The results showed that the variables 'perception (education)', 'environment', 'health and well-being', 'social influence', 'intention to live abroad', 'social influence' and 'intent to live abroad' where the ones with greater impact in the decision of a foreign student to stay or leave the country.

Delivering a project has several challenges to be addressed, and to mitigate them, multiple approaches have arisen and suggested as best practices to stakeholders' satisfaction. This research presents a proposal to manage communication inside a virtual project team, adapting concepts from traditional and agile approaches into a hybrid framework, created using the action research spiral approach to evaluate the performance. It was possible to implement three action-research cycles, considering the spiral approach, starting will a diagnosis of the team, followed by action planning and implementation in a two month cycle, finishing with evaluation of the results and collection of feedbacks and potentials improvements. This paper describes all the process, tools and communication structure implemented in a product development project team of an industrial company for a period of six months. The results show that the team became project oriented, increasing trust among members and the alignment of dependencies between areas.

Social impact assessment and benefits management is commonly measured in social communities' intervention plans. Although, its combined use lacks from a methodology or framework, which can assist in measuring those benefits and impacts. To achieve this, a business case tool has been applied in order to measure the benefits and Social Toolkit has been developed to assist the social impact. The results of these measures provided a substantial increment in terms of benefits measurements and social impact assessment in the social impact assessment of the 'community intervention of proximity' initiative, which aims to support families affected by poverty and/or victims of social exclusion. The results have shown that there has been a decrease in social exclusion and a reduction in poverty for needy families.

Objetivo: A descrição de um caso de sarcoma granulocítico (SG) com expressão aberrante de CD56 objetiva ampliar o conhecimento de condições atípicas de neoplasias hematológicas no âmbito das ciências da saúde. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo observacional, descritivo, retrospectivo, em forma de relato de caso de uma paciente sob investigação de pancitopenia. A obtenção das informações se deu mediante a revisão de prontuário, entrevista com o paciente, registro fotográfico das lesões e achados microscópicos e revisão de literatura. A base de dados utilizada foi a de artigos das bibliotecas virtuais Scielo e Pubmed, com o descritor “sarcoma granulocítico” e “imunofenotipagem”. Resultados: No caso apresentado, ganha relevância a apresentação do antígeno CD56, um marcador que habitualmente não é expresso nos pacientes com SG. Esta molécula faz parte da superfamília das imunoglobulinas, compondo parte da estrutura de células de adesão neural (NCAM), conferindo maior mobilidade celular. No tecido hematopoiético normal, as NCAMs são expressas como “natural-killer” e linfócitos T-citotóxicos. Conclusão: A positividade aberrante do CD56 em algumas doenças hematológicas indica prognóstico ruim. A descrição de tal caso é relevante para difundir mais informações sobre a doença, possibilitando diagnóstico precoce, estratificação da gravidade e intervenção efetiva para melhor tratamento dos pacientes.

Introdução: As doenças de transmissão hídrica e alimentar (DTHA) ocorrem devido às inadequações na manipulação de alimentos, sendo assim, estudos para avaliar aspectos higiênico-sanitários da produção de alimentos são importantes. Objetivo: Avaliar os conhecimentos, atitudes e práticas autorreferidas (CAP) e a percepção de risco de DTHA, pela perspectiva de manipuladores de alimentos de serviços de alimentação. Método: Foram aplicados questionários, por meio de entrevistas, contendo questões sobre o perfil sociodemográfico, CAP e a percepção de risco de DTHA. A amostra consistiu em 30 manipuladores de 20 pequenos estabelecimentos de serviços de alimentação de Laranjeiras do Sul-PR. Resultados: Somente 66,7% dos participantes haviam participado de formação de boas práticas. A média geral de conhecimento foi de 84,7%, considerada suficiente. Todas as atitudes avaliadas foram acima de 70,0% para atitudes positivas. Alguns manipuladores tiveram atitudes negativas para higienização das mãos (26,7%), descongelamento de alimentos (10,0%) e higienização de frutas e hortaliças (10,0%). Os entrevistados apresentaram práticas adequadas para a maioria das questões e inadequadas principalmente para descongelamento (53,3%), uso do uniforme (20,0%) e temperatura dos alimentos perecíveis (10,0%). Os manipuladores tiveram baixa percepção de risco de DTHA dos alimentos manipulados por eles (93,3%), bem como de descongelamento à temperatura ambiente (53,4%) e uso de água não potável (30,0%). Conclusões: O conhecimento e a atitude não foram traduzidos em prática. Faz‑se necessária a realização da formação de boas práticas a fim de melhorar o conhecimento dos manipuladores sobre o manuseio correto dos alimentos e, principalmente, aumentar a percepção de risco e motivar atitudes positivas e práticas adequadas para a produção de alimentos seguros.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education brings great performances to students, since it allows advances in studies, as the educator makes use of numerous tools, including CTSA (Science, Technology, Society and Environment), which encompasses the current view of the world and its problems. The objective of this work was to analyze the perception of Biology teachers regarding the use of CTSA in the State Education Network of the Municipalities of Girau do Ponciano and Arapiraca, in addition to analyzing the pedagogical practice of these teachers regarding Ecology content. The research was carried out in six schools of the State Network of Alagoas and the data collection was done through the application of a questionnaire. It was observed that most of the teachers who participated in the research are women trained in Biological Sciences and X years of experience. The professors stated that they did not have difficulties in using the CTSA in the classroom, either through interdisciplinarity or through problematization. It is concluded that most of the teachers who participated in the research are women, and that they do not have difficulties in using the CTSA in the classroom.

Blockchain technology has been used with great effect in farm-to-fork traceability projects. However, this technology has a steep learning curve when it comes to its user interface. To minimize this difficulty, we created a solution based on a Large Language Model (LLM) conversational agent. Our implementation, starting with an existing knowledge base that is prepared and processed with an embedding model to be stored in a vector database, follows a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) approach. Other non-textual media like images and videos are aggregated with the embeddings to enrich the user experience. User queries are combined with a proximity search in the vector database and feed into an LLM that considers the conversation history with the user in its replies. Given the asynchronous nature of these models, we implemented a similarly asynchronous scheme using Server-Sent Events that deliver the models' replies to a UI that supports multimodal media types such as images and videos by providing the visualization of these resources. The end solution allows users to interact with advanced technologies using a natural language interface; this in turn empowers food traceability projects to overcome their natural difficulty in engaging early adopters.
