Considering the fact that a disabled landfill continues to produce this effluent at least for 50 years, the research on more efficient destination for this leachate is important. In this context, it is also known that this type of effluent is a source of nutrients to plants, such as nitrogen and potassium. Thus, the agriculture can be considered as a noblest destination to reuse these wastewaters, through a proper management and that does not cause phytotoxicity. The present study evaluated: the viability of the agricultural use of raw leachate (LB) coming from the landfill Metropolitan Garden of Gramacho - RJ and leachate treated by electro-Fenton (LTEF) and distillation (LTD1 and LTD2) on the germination of sunflower seeds; the LB use in growth, nutrition and soil attributes in sunflower seedling cultivation and dynamics and effect of LB in soil columns, evaluating the properties of the soil and its solution. From the results obtained on this research, the distillation treatment was more efficient in the DQO removal and others parameters like an alternative of LB treatment. The LTD2 showed best yields in germinability, but the LB showed good yield up to the dose of 25%, which deserves to be highlighted, because it represents an economy with possible treatments. The LB used in the experiment with sunflower seedlings demonstrated to be a by-product of agronomic interest because it presents nutrients to plants (N and K), and had real possibilities for use in sunflower crop cultivation. The greatest concern with the LB use was not the metals, but the salinity and the chloride, because they percolate combined with the solo solution. Among rational destination alternatives, analyzing the raw and treated LB use as source of nutrients or to the hydro needs in agricultural crops demonstrated the power to guarantee the water reuse and the agricultural inputs reduction, but with the proper planning and management that do not cause toxicity into the soil and into the plant O lixiviado proveniente de aterro sanitário tornou-se um desafio dos grandes centros urbanos, uma vez que possui uma alta complexidade em sua composição dificultando seu tratamento. Considerando, o fato de que um aterro desativado continua a produzir por, pelo menos, 50 anos esse efluente, a pesquisa sobre um destino mais eficiente para esse lixiviado trona-se importante. Nesse contexto, é sabido ainda que esse tipo de efluente seja fonte de nutrientes para às plantas, pois possui nitrogênio e potássio em grande quantidade. Dessa forma, a agricultura pode ser considerada como um destino mais nobre ao reúso dessas águas residuárias, desde que haja um manejo adequado e que não cause fitotoxidade. O presente trabalho avaliou: a viabilidade do aproveitamento agrícola de lixiviado bruto (LB) advindo do Aterro Metropolitano de Jardim Gramacho- RJ e de duas tecnologias de tratamento para esse lixiviado, sendo: tratamento por eletro-Fenton (LTEF) e por destilação (LTD1 e LTD2) no processo germinativo de sementes de girassol. Avaliou ainda, o uso lixiviado bruto no crescimento, nutrição e atributos do solo no cultivo de mudas de girassol e as propriedades do solo e da solução do solo em experimento com colunas de solo. Dos resultados obtidos, o tratamento por destilação foi mais eficiente na remoção de DQO e demais parâmetros, podendo ser uma alternativa de tratamento do LB. O LTD2 apresentou melhores rendimentos na germinabilidade das sementes, mas o LB apresentou bons rendimentos até a dose 25%, o que merece ser destacado, pois representa uma economia com possíveis tratamentos. Com O LB utilizado no experimento com mudas de girassol demostrou ser um subproduto de interesse agronômico, pois apresenta nutrientes para plantas (N e K), e possibilidades reais de uso no cultivo agrícola de girassol. A preocupação maior com o uso do LB não foram os metais, mas a salinidade e cloreto, pois percolam junto com a solução do solo. Entre alternativas de destinação racional, analisar o uso do LB bruto e tratado como fonte de nutrientes ou para demanda hídrica em culturas agrícolas demonstrou o poder de integralizar o reúso de água residuária e redução de insumos agrícolas, porém com planejamento e manejo adequado para que não cause toxicidade no solo e planta
