Abstract

The Army's Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS) radio acquisition program is expected to cost $3.1 billion through 1998. Because of continuing congressional interest in SINCGARS procurement, GAO reviewed (1) the current SINCGARS acquisition strategy and (2) the Army's progress in reducing SINCGARS radio quantities., Report to the Chairman, Subcommittee on Defense, Committee on Appropriations House of Representatives.
