As a kind of high-efficiency explosive with compound destructive capability, the energy output law of thermobaric explosives has been receiving great attention. In order to investigate the effects of main components on the explosive characteristics of thermobaric explosives, various high explosives and oxidants were selected to formulate five different types of thermobaric explosive. Then they were tested in both open space and closed space respectively. Pressure measurement system, high-speed camera, infrared thermal imager and multispectral temperature measurement system were used for pressure, temperature and fireball recording. The effects of different components on the explosive characteristics of thermobaric explosive were analyzed. The results showed that in open space, the overpressure is dominated by the high explosives content in the formulation. The addition of the oxidants will decrease the explosion overpressure but will increase the duration and overall brightness of the fireball. While in closed space, the quasi-static pressure formed after the explosion is positively correlated with the temperature and gas production. In addition, it was found that the differences in shell constraints can also alter the afterburning reaction of thermobaric explosives, thus affecting their energy output characteristics. PVC shell constraint obviously increases the overpressure and makes the fireball burn more violently.

Abstract The E‐proteinoid 3 receptor (PTGER3), a member of the prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) subtype receptor, belongs to the G‐protein‐coupled superfamily of receptors. Animal studies have demonstrated its involvement in salt sensitivity by regulating sodium reabsorption. This study aimed to investigate the association between genetic variants of PTGER3 and salt sensitivity, longitudinal blood pressure (BP) changes, and the incidence of hypertension in Chinese adults. A chronic salt intake intervention was conducted involving 514 adults from 124 families in the 2004 Baoji Salt‐Sensitivity Study Cohort in northern China. These participants followed a 3‐day regular baseline diet, followed by a 7‐day low‐salt diet (3.0 g/d) and a 7‐day high‐salt diet (18 g/d), and were subsequently followed for 14 years. The findings revealed a significant relationship between the single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs17482751 of PTGER3 and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) response to high salt intervention. Additionally, SNPs rs11209733, rs3765894, and rs2268062 were significantly associated with longitudinal changes in systolic blood pressure (SBP), DBP, and mean arterial pressure (MAP) during the 14‐year follow‐up period. SNP rs6424414 was significantly associated with longitudinal changes in DBP over 14 years. Finally, SNP rs17482751 showed a significant correlation with the incidence of hypertension over 14 years. These results emphasize the significant role of PTGER3 gene polymorphism in salt sensitivity, longitudinal BP changes, and the development of hypertension in the Chinese population.

BackgroundVancomycin-associated acute kidney injury (AKI) leads to underestimated morbidity in the intensive care unit (ICU). It is significantly important to predict its occurrence in advance. However, risk factors and nomograms to predict this AKI are limited.MethodsThis was a retrospective analysis of two databases. A total of 1,959 patients diagnosed with AKI and treated with vancomycin were enrolled from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care IV (MIMIC-IV) database. According to the 7:3 ratio, the training set (n = 1,372) and the internal validation set (n = 587) were randomly allocated. The external validation set included 211 patients from the eICU Collaborative Research Database (eICU). Next, to screen potential variables, the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression was utilized. Subsequently, the nomogram was developed by the variables of the selected results in the multivariable logistic regression. Finally, discrimination, calibration, and clinical utility were evaluated to validate the nomogram.ResultsThe constructed nomogram showed fine discrimination in the training set (area under the receiver operator characteristic curve [AUC] = 0.791; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.758–0.823), internal validation set (AUC = 0.793; 95% CI: 0.742–0.844), and external validation set (AUC = 0.755; 95% CI: 0.663–0.847). Moreover, it also well demonstrated calibration and clinical utility. The significant improvement (P < 0.001) in net reclassification improvement (NRI) and integrated differentiation improvement (IDI) confirmed that the predictive model outperformed others.ConclusionThis established nomogram indicated promising performance in determining individual AKI risk of vancomycin-treated critical care patients, which will be beneficial in making clinical decisions.

To reduce the mechanical sensitivity of CL-20, this study is based on the surface modification of CL-20, and explores the effects of two preparation processes, the water solution-suspension method and the phase separation method, on the coating process of CL-20. Based on the structural characteristics of surfactants, a formulation was devised, using 2-cyanoethyltriethoxysilane (SCA2) as the surfactant and microcrystalline wax as the desensitizer. The samples underwent comprehensive characterization employing SEM, XPS, DSC, XRD, friction sensitivity testing, and impact sensitivity testing to evaluate both their structural composition and inherent properties. The results showed that the composite particles prepared using the phase separation method displayed a compact coating layer on CL-20 surfaces. Specifically, the composite particle CL-20@SCA2/Wax-P, which contained the surfactant, exhibited a thin and dense film on its surface. The proportion of -NO2 groups on the surface of the composite particles experienced a reduction of 13.12% compared with CL-20. The crystal form of CL-20 remained unchanged in four composite particles. The decomposition peak temperatures and activation energy of all four composite particles were decreased, resulting in reduced thermal stability. The critical friction sensitivity load for composite particles produced via the aqueous suspension method is 252 N, whereas for those prepared using the phase separation method, it elevates to 360 N. The characteristic drop height (H50) of composite particles prepared by the phase separation method increased significantly, 34 cm for CL-20/W-P composite particles and 55 cm for CL-20@SCA2/W-P composite particles, compared with the raw CL-20. These results suggest that the utilization of SCA2 effectively modified the surface of CL-20, and the composite particles prepared using the phase separation method demonstrated a considerable reduction in mechanical sensitivity.

Abstract Recent studies have reported the role of the M3 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor (M3R), a member of the G‐protein coupled receptor superfamily, encoded by the CHRM3 gene, in cardiac function and the regulation of blood pressure (BP). The aim of this study was to investigate the associations of CHRM3 genetic variants with salt sensitivity, longitudinal BP changes, and the development of hypertension in a Chinese population. We conducted a chronic dietary salt intervention experiment in a previously established Chinese cohort to analyze salt sensitivity of BP. Additionally, a 14‐year follow‐up was conducted on all participants in the cohort to evaluate the associations of CHRM3 polymorphisms with longitudinal BP changes, as well as the incidence of hypertension. The single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs10802811 within the CHRM3 gene displayed significant associations with low salt‐induced changes in systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), and mean arterial pressure (MAP), while rs373288072, rs114677844, and rs663148 exhibited significant associations with SBP and MAP responses to a high‐salt diet. Furthermore, the SNP rs58359377 was associated with changes in SBP and pulse pressure (PP) over the course of 14 years. Additionally, the 14‐year follow‐up revealed a significant association between the rs619288 polymorphism and an increased risk of hypertension (OR = 1.74, 95% CI: 1.06‐2.87, p = .029). This study provides evidence that CHRM3 may have a role in salt sensitivity, BP progression, and the development of hypertension.

A method for visualization of surface discharge area in SF6 based on infrared trap is proposed in this study. The infrared images of a heated insulator with a surface defect under different applied voltages were studied, and the infrared trap phenomenon was observed in the infrared image. When partial discharge occurs on the heated insulator surface, a spindle shaped infrared trap will be formed at the end of the defect. In the infrared trap area, the apparent temperature measured using the infrared camera decreases compared to that without discharge. The infrared trap area corresponds to surface discharge area. With the increase in the applied voltage, the discharge becomes more severe, the infrared trap area gradually expands, and the trap depth also increases. This infrared trap phenomenon found in this study can serve as a method to visualize the surface discharge area in SF6 gas.

Abstract A critical challenge of existing cancer vaccines is to orchestrate the demands of antigen‐enriched furnishment and optimal antigen‐presentation functionality within antigen‐presenting cells (APCs). Here, a complementary immunotherapeutic strategy is developed using dendritic cell (DC)‐tumor hybrid cell‐derived chimeric exosomes loaded with stimulator of interferon genes (STING) agonists (DT‐Exo‐STING) for maximized tumor‐specific T‐cell immunity. These chimeric carriers are furnished with broad‐spectrum antigen complexes to elicit a robust T‐cell‐mediated inflammatory program through direct self‐presentation and indirect DC‐to‐T immunostimulatory pathway. This chimeric exosome‐assisted delivery strategy possesses the merits versus off‐the‐shelf cyclic dinucleotide (CDN) delivery techniques in both the brilliant tissue‐homing capacity, even across the intractable blood–brain barrier (BBB), and the desired cytosolic entry for enhanced STING‐activating signaling. The improved antigen‐presentation performance with this nanovaccine‐driven STING activation further enhances tumor‐specific T‐cell immunoresponse. Thus, DT‐Exo‐STING reverses immunosuppressive glioblastoma microenvironments to pro‐inflammatory, tumoricidal states, leading to an almost obliteration of intracranial primary lesions. Significantly, an upscaling option that harnesses autologous tumor tissues for personalized DT‐Exo‐STING vaccines increases sensitivity to immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) therapy and exerts systemic immune memory against post‐operative glioma recrudesce. These findings represent an emerging method for glioblastoma immunotherapy, warranting further exploratory development in the clinical realm.

Although robots have been widely used in a variety of fields, the idea of enabling them to perform multiple tasks in the same way that humans do remains a difficulty. To solve this, we investigate the learning from demonstration (LFD) system with our independently designed symmetrical humanoid dual-arm robot. We present a novel action feature matching algorithm. This algorithm accurately transforms human demonstration data into task models that robots can directly execute, considerably improving LFD’s generalization capabilities. In our studies, we used motion capture cameras to capture human demonstration actions, which included combinations of simple actions (the action layer) and a succession of complicated operational tasks (the task layer). For the action layer data, we employed Gaussian mixture models (GMM) for processing and constructing an action primitive library. As for the task layer data, we created a “keyframe” segmentation method to transform this data into a series of action primitives and build another action primitive library. Guided by our algorithm, the robot successfully imitated complex human tasks. Results show its excellent task learning and execution, providing an effective solution for robots to learn from human demonstrations and significantly advancing robot technology.

Herein, we developed a mild and efficient photoredox-enabled remote radical group migration with the utilization of diazoalkanes as radical precursors, giving access to various valuable 1,7-dicarbonlys in moderate to good yields. A diverse set of migrating groups, including benzothiazole, benzothiophene, pyrazine, pyridine, thiazole, thiophene and nitrile were well tolerated. Furthermore, the facile synthesis of 1,8-dicarbonyl compound, scale-up reaction and useful synthetic transformation further proved the method attractive and valuable.

The growing number of renewable energy replacing conventional generators results in a loss of the reserve for frequency control in power systems, while many industrial power grids often have excess energy supply due to abundant wind and solar energy resources. This paper proposes a secondary frequency control (SFC) strategy that allows industrial power grids to provide emergency high-voltage direct current (HVDC) power support (EDCPS) for emergency to a system requiring power support through a voltage source converter (VSC) HVDC link. An architecture including multiple model predictive control (MPC) controllers with periodic communication is designed to simultaneously obtain optimized EDCPS capacity and minimize adverse effects on the providing power support (PPS) system. Moreover, a model of a virtual power plant (VPP) containing aluminum smelter loads (ASLs) and a high penetration of wind power is established for the PPS system. The flexibility and controllability of the VPP are improved by the demand response of the ASLs. The uncertainty associated with wind power is considered by chance constraints. The effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified by simulation results using the data of an actual industrial power grid in Inner Mongolia, China. The DC voltage of the VSCs and the DC in the potlines of the ASLs are also investigated in the simulation.

Abstract Background PI4K2A has been found to have a tumor‐promoting role in various solid tumors and be involved in various biological procedures. In this article, we aim to investigate the prognostic values of PI4K2A and provide new insights in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD). Methods The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database, Human Protein Atlas online database, and UALCAN database were used to analyze the expression of PI4K2A in COAD and the survival of patients. Univariate and multifactorial Cox regression analyses were used to assess the prognosis of PI4K2A on COAD. GSEA was used to explore PI4K2A‐related signaling pathways. In addition, the effect of PI4K2A on immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) treatment was investigated by constructing a TIDE model and predicting the association between PI4K2A and anticancer drug sensitivity through the CellMiner database. Results In the TCGA database, PI4K2A was highly expressed in COAD and the similar results were verified by qRT‐PCR. Survival analysis, utilizing Kaplan–Meier curves, revealed that COAD patients with high PI4K2A expression had a worse prognosis. In addition, PI4K2A expression was discovered to have been associated with T‐stage, N‐stage, and pathological stage by logistic analysis. Next, we utilized univariate and multifactorial Cox regression analyses to identify PI4K2A as an independent predictor. Additionally, GSEA analysis indicates that PI4K2A is enriched in MAPK signaling pathway, Toll‐like receptor signaling pathway, etc. In COAD, PI4K2A was remarkably associated with the tumor immune microenvironment. In addition, by constructing a TIDE model, we discovered that COAD patients in the PI4K2A low‐expression cohort were better treated with ICI. Finally, analysis of the CellMiner database predicted that PI4K2A was adversely correlated with the sensitivity of various anticancer drugs. Conclusions Our study suggests that PI4K2A may be a potential predictor of poor prognosis in COAD and a potential biomarker for early diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment.

IntroductionLow temperature is the most common method used to maintain the freshness of Phlebopus portentosus during long-distance transportation. However, there is no information regarding the nutritional changes that occur in P. portentosus preserved postharvest in low temperature.MethodsIn this study, the changes in flavor quality and bioactive components in fruiting bodies stored at 4 °C for different storage periods were determined through LC/MS and GC/MS analyses. Sampling was performed at 0, 3, 5, 7, and 13 days storage.Results and DiscussionBased on the results, the metabolites present in caps and stipes were different at the same period and significantly different after 7 days of storage. A total of 583 and 500 different metabolites were detected in caps and stipes, respectively, and were mainly lipids and lipid-like molecules, organic acids and derivatives, organic oxygen compounds and others. Except for prenol lipids and nucleotides, the expression levels of most metabolites increased with longer storage time. In addition, geosmin was identified as the major contributor to earthy-musty odors, and the level of geosmin was increased when the storage time was short.ConclusionThe variations in these metabolites might cause changes in flavor quality and bioactive components in P. portentosus. Variations in these metabolites were thoroughly analyzed, and the results revealed how storage processes affect the postharvest quality of P. portentosus for the first time.

This study investigated the effects of soil moisture content on the strength and deformation properties of the foundation soils of cultural relics. Our goal is to inform the formulation and implementation of the repair scheme for cultural relics above the foundation soils and help protect cultural relics. Soil samples with five different moisture contents were prepared and used in unconfined compression, triaxial, and consolidation tests. Several mechanical parameters were determined under different soil moisture contents: failure morphology, compressive strength, compressive modulus, and compressibility coefficient. Based on the test results, the soil cohesion and angle of internal friction were obtained using Mohr’s circle. Regions where the mechanical parameters were particularly sensitive to moisture content were located during the consolidation test. These were also the regions where the soil’s compressive modulus declined rapidly, which was detrimental to the overall stability and safety of overlying structures. The internal structure and particle size distribution of the foundation soils supporting cultural relics were determined by scanning electron microscopy. Constitutive parameters of soils were determined by the triaxial test and consolidation test. It was also found that when the soil moisture content exceeded the optimal level, the foundation soils were very likely to pose a risk to the safety of the overlying cultural relics. The moisture content of foundation soils supporting cultural relics deserves special attention in engineering practice.

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) has been implicated to have antidepressive effects. We sought to investigate the prevention effects of H2S donor NaHS on depression-like behavior induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in mice and its potential mechanisms. Sucrose preference, force swimming, open field, and elevate zero maze were used to evaluate depression-like behavior. NF-κB and NLRP3 inflammasome activation and mitochondrial function in the hippocampus were determined. It was found that depression-like behavior induced by LPS was prevented by NaHS pretreatment. LPS caused NF-κB and NLRP3 inflammasome activation in the hippocampus as evidenced by increased phosphorylated-p65 levels and increased NLRP3, ASC, caspase-1, and mature IL-1β levels in the hippocampus, which were also blocked by NaHS. LPS increased GSDMD-N levels and TUNEL-positive cells in the hippocampus, which was prevented by NaHS. Abnormal mitochondrial morphology in the hippocampus was found in LPS-treated mice. Mitochondrial membrane potential and ATP production were reduced, and ROS production was increased in the hippocampus of LPS-treated mice. NaHS pretreatment improved impaired mitochondrial morphology and increased membrane potential and ATP production and reduced ROS production in the hippocampus of LPS-treated mice. Our data indicate that H2S prevents LPS-induced depression-like behaviors by inhibiting NLRP3 inflammasome activation and pyroptosis and improving mitochondrial function in the hippocampus.

Phlebopus portentosus (Berk. and Broome) Boedijn is an attractive edible mushroom and is considered the only bolete for which artificial cultivation in vitro has been achieved. Gene expression analysis has become widely used in research on edible fungi and is important for elucidating the functions of genes involved in complex biological processes. Selecting appropriate reference genes is crucial to ensuring reliable RT‒qPCR gene expression analysis results. In our study, a total of 12 candidate control genes were selected from 25 traditional housekeeping genes based on their expression stability in 9 transcriptomes of 3 developmental stages. These genes were further evaluated using geNorm, NormFinder, and RefFinder under different conditions and developmental stages. The results revealed that MSF1 domain-containing protein (MSF1), synaptobrevin (SYB), mitogen-activated protein kinase genes (MAPK), TATA-binding protein 1 (TBP1), and SPRY domain protein (SPRY) were the most stable reference genes in all sample treatments, while elongation factor 1-alpha (EF1), actin and ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme (UBCE) were the most unstably expressed. The gene SYB was selected based on the transcriptome results and was identified as a novel reference gene in P. portentosus. This is the first detailed study on the identification of reference genes in this fungus and may provide new insights into selecting genes and quantifying gene expression.

Phylogenetic and morphological analyses on samples of Fistulina from East Asia and North America were carried out, and two new species were described, namely, Fistulina americana and Fistulina orientalis, both previously known as Fistulina hepatica. The former is characterized by lateral stipitate basidiocarps, relatively small pores (7–8 per mm), a monomitic hyphal system with both clamp connections and simple septa, and ellipsoid basidiospores of 4–4.8 × 3–3.3 μm, and the species has been found on Quercus in North-East USA. F. orientalis is characterized by lateral stipitate basidiocarps, very small pores (11–12 per mm) with pruinose dissepiments, a monomitic hyphal system with both clamp connections and simple septa, and ovoid to subglobose basidiospores of 3–4 × 2.7–3 μm, and the species has been found on Castanopsis in East Asia. Phylogenetically, samples of F. americana and F. orientalis form two new lineages nested in the Fistulina clade.

The protection of site cultural relics is facing great challenges of site soil instability and contamination. Targeting at the special geological environment of Kaifeng region, the affecting laws of different concentrations of alkali on mechanical properties of site soil in this region are studied in this paper. The triaxial test is conducted to study the mechanical properties of site soil, including its failure pattern, stress-strain relationship, stress path and strength index, etc. The X-ray diffraction test and scanning electron microscope test are used to analyze the composition, particle state, and pore characteristics of the soil before and after contamination, and to evaluate the stability of the site soil. At the site combining with microstructure changes and macro mechanical properties. The results show that, from the macroscopic surface, with the increase of alkali concentration, the failure shear plane usually appears along the 45° direction. From the perspective of mechanical properties, the stress-strain relationship of the site soil is caused by the strengthening of soil deformation, and the alkali concentration increases, and the curve gradually develops from hardening type to softening type. The stress path is the line connecting the points in the sequence of the stress change process, which is different, and the corresponding soil deformation and strength characteristics will also appear very different. The stress path of soil with different alkali concentration is different. Under the same σ3 condition, the stress σ1 is different. The stress change is expressed in macroscopic terms as different forms of soil damage. Under 0 % concentration, the strength index of soil is 82.14 kPa, 21.67°, and the alkali concentration is 4–16 %, the internal friction Angle is gradually increased, and the cohesion is slightly reduced. From the micro perspective, the main components of the contaminated site soil are SiO2, Al2O3, CaO and Fe2O3. In the process of alkali-soil reaction, alkali reacts with oxides in soil to form Na2AlO2, which has a certain cementation effect. SiO2 reacts with NaOH solution to generate Na2SiO3, which has strong cohesiveness and strength. The newly generated cementing material in the soil increases, and the bonding force between particles increases. In addition, some cements fill the inner pores and improve the shear strength of soil. Under the same pressure, the stress-strain curve of soil gradually developed from hardening type to softening type with the increase of alkali concentration. In the stress-strain curve of soil, with the increase of alkali concentration, the soil reaches the strength at failure under small deformation. The increase of alkali concentration reduces the plasticity and increases the brittleness of soil. At this time, if the stress is localized, shear bands will appear and the stability of soil will decrease. The study of soil properties changes caused by different alkali pollution concentrations can provide a scientific basis for the reinforcement and protection of soil sites or ancient cultural foundations in Kaifeng area.
