Prolonged high-intensity endurance exercise has been reported to have adverse effects on the heart, which are further correlated with exercise dose. However, its effect on the right ventricle (RV) of amateur runners is unknown. This study aimed was to evaluate the early right ventricular structure and systolic function of amateur marathon runners by three-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography (3D-STE), and to further analyze the correlation between relevant parameters and the amount of training. A total of 30 amateur marathon runners (marathon group) and 27 healthy volunteers (control group) were enrolled. Conventional echocardiography combined with 3D-STE was performed in all subjects, and the marathon group was screened by echocardiography a week before a marathon (V1), within 1 h post-marathon (V2), and 4 days post-marathon (V3). RV global longitudinal strain (GLS) and RV end-diastolic volume (EDV) increased significantly in the marathon group compared to the control group (P P P > 0.05). Since the Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee put forward the five development concepts of "innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing"for the first time, China has entered a new era of high-quality economic development, which has opened a new chapter in the paradigm of high-quality economic development in China. Driven by the new development concept, local governments at all levels have taken both measures of environmental regulation and green innovation to promote the high-quality development of urban economy, and explored the impact of environmental regulation and green innovation on the high-quality development of urban economy, in order to achieve a "double-win" situation of "green mountains and green hills" and "golden mountains and silver mountains" in China. In this paper, twelve major urban agglomerations are used as sample data from 2008 to 2020 in China, and the influence of environmental regulation and green innovation on the high-quality economic development of urban agglomerations is systematically investigated by constructing OLS linear regression model, threshold effect model and intermediary effect model. The results show that: ① Environmental regulation has a significant promotion effect on the high-quality economic development of urban agglomerations, and the environmental regulation of southern urban agglomerations has a stronger promotion effect on the high-quality economic development of urban agglomerations than that of northern urban agglomerations. In addition, in order to avoid the problem that the estimation results are biased by endogenous environmental regulation, the conclusion obtained by constructing the lagging phase of environmental regulation as a tool variable is basically consistent with the original model, which proves the robustness and reliability of the original model. ② The influence of environmental regulation on green innovation shows an L-shaped relationship, in which the environmental regulation of southern urban agglomerations has a greater inhibitory effect on green innovation than that of northern urban agglomerations, while its promoting effect is weaker than that of northern urban agglomerations. Overall, the environmental regulation of southern urban agglomerations has a greater relative influence on green innovation than that of northern urban agglomerations, which shows that under the background of high-quality development of "green mountains and green hills" and "golden mountains and silver mountains" in China, the national and northern and southern urban agglomerations are all affected by this macro-policy environment. ③Environmental regulation plays a significant role in promoting the high-quality development of urban agglomeration economy, which is partly realized through green innovation, and environmental regulation plays a leading role; In addition, the green innovation ability of northern urban agglomeration plays a greater role in high-quality economic development than that of southern urban agglomeration, which shows that green innovation plays an important role in promoting high-quality economic development of northern urban agglomeration. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, environmental regulation and green innovation have played a more and more significant role in promoting the high-quality economic development of urban agglomerations. To realize the beautiful long-cherished wish of high-quality economic development of "Jinshan Yinshan" and "Green Water Qingshan", we not only need local governments to make scientific policies according to the location of urban agglomerations, make reasonable policies according to the industrial structure, coordinate inter-city relations within urban agglomerations, and coordinate the coordinated development of regional economies, but also need to further adjust measures to local conditions, make policies according to local conditions, and strengthen environmental regulation policies in a reasonable and orderly manner under the top-level design and guidance of the central government.

Online open high-quality courses, also known as MU courses, are not only an important exploration and practice of information-based teaching in higher vocational colleges, but also an important measure to innovate the mode of teaching resources and improve the teaching quality. Taking the medical laboratory specialty in higher vocational colleges as a research case, this article expounds the necessity of creating online open high-quality courses and analyzes the principles of constructing online open high-quality medical laboratory courses in higher vocational colleges. In addition, this article has suggested several strategies for the construction of online open high-quality courses, such as reconstructing the curriculum system, increasing interactive links, integrating curriculum resources, improving the evaluation system, and promoting curriculum pluralistic sharing.

Nonetheless, the function of circular RNA 0014715 (hsa_circ_0014715, circ_0014715) in ESCC has not been described.Materials and Methods: We investigated clinical data from sixty-seven patients undergoing surgery for esophageal cancer. The clinical data were collected. And we analyzed the correlation between the clinical characteristics of these patients and the expression of circ_0014715. Besides, we explored the expression of circ_0014715 in ESCC cell lines. We used cell counting kit-8, colony formation, transwell assay, and flow cytometry to detect changes in cell proliferation, migration, apoptosis, and cell cycle progression.Results: We found that circ_0014715 was highly expressed in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma tissues and cell lines. The correlation analysis of clinicopathological features and gene expression revealed that high expression of circ_0014715 was related to nerve invasion, vascular invasion, more advanced tumor-node-metastasis (TNM) stage and poor differentiation grade. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves revealed that circ_0014715 might have diagnostic value for ESCC. Experiments with cultured cells showed that knockdown of circ_0014715 significantly restrained cell proliferation, migration, invasion, wound healing and accelerated cell apoptosis. And cell cycle arrest at G2 phase was observed via flow cytometry. Overexpression of circ_0014715 caused the opposite effects. Collectively, these studies show that circ_0014715 is closely connected with the pathogenesis and development of ESCC. The excess expression of circ_0014715 may have promoting effects on the progression of esophageal cell carcinoma.Conclusion: Our finding revealed that circ_0014715 promoted tumor growth and cell proliferation. The basic leucine zipper (bZIP) family is one of the largest families of transcription factors (TFs) in plants and is responsible for various functions, including regulating development and responses to abiotic/biotic stresses. However, the roles of bZIPs in the regulation of responses to drought stress and salinity stress remain poorly understood in Jatropha curcas L., a biodiesel crop. In the present study, 50 JcbZIP genes were identified and classified into ten groups. Cis-element analysis indicated that JcbZIP genes are associated with abiotic stress. Gene expression patterns and quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) showed that four JcbZIP genes (JcbZIPs 34, 36, 49 and 50) are key resistance-related genes under both drought and salinity stress conditions. On the basis of the results of cis-element and phylogenetic analyses, JcbZIP49 and JcbZIP50 are likely involved in responses to drought and salinity stress; moreover, JcbZIP34 and JcbZIP36 might also play important roles in seed development and response to abiotic stress. These findings advance our understanding of the comprehensive characteristics of JcbZIP genes and provide new insights for functional validation in the further.

Background Although several measures have been taken to control hand foot and mouth disease (HFMD) and herpangina (HA), these two diseases have been prevalent in China for 10 years with high incidence. We suspected that adults’ inapparent infection might be the cause of the continued prevalence of HFMD/HA infection in mainland China. Methods To explore the role of adults (especially caregivers) in the transmission process of HFMD/HA among children, 330 HFMD/HA cases and 330 healthy children (controls) were selected for a case–control study. Then, data were analyzed by logistic regression. Results Single-variable analyses revealed that caregivers who tested positive for enterovirus was a significant risk factor of HFMD/HA transmission to children (adjusted odds ratio (OR) = 9.22; 95% CI, 1.16 to 73.23). In the final multivariable model, caregiver behavior, such as cooling children’s food with mouth (OR = 1.85; 95% CI, 1.11 to 3.08) and feeding children with their own tableware (OR = 2.19; 95% CI, 1.07 to 4.45), significantly increased the risk of transmitting HFMD/HA to children. On the contrary, washing hands before feeding children reduced such risk. Conclusions These results implied that the caregivers might be the infectious source or carriers of enterovirus. Therefore, preventing or treating the caregivers’ enterovirus infection and improving their hygiene habits, especially when they are in contact with children, could provide a breakthrough for the effective control of HFMD/HA.

The intensity ratio ITO/ILO is demonstrated as a quantitative signature of the potential lattice damage scale and provides a nondestructive tool to evaluate the lattice damages in zincblende‐type crystals.

Previous epidemiological evidence mainly focused on the adverse effects of prenatal exposure to pyrethroid insecticides (PYRs) on respiratory health during childhood. It remains unclear whether the PYR exposures can also impact on children's lung function.To explore the potential effects of prenatal PYR exposures on lung function in a population of Chinese children.This study included 233 mother-child dyads from the Laizhou Wan Birth Cohort (LWBC), Shandong province, northern China, between September 2010 and December 2013. Three metabolites of PYRs [3-phenoxybenzoic acid (3-PBA), and cis- and trans-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (cis-DCCA and trans-DCCA)] were measured using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) in maternal urine samples collected at recruitment. Lung function was assessed with spirometry in children aged 6-8 years. Multivariable linear regression and generalized linear models (GLMs) assessed the associations of prenatal PYR exposures with lung function in children.Among the PYR metabolites, 3-PBA (81.5%) were most frequently detected, followed by trans-DCCA (55.4%) and cis-DCCA (21.9%). Background Home quarantine as a non-pharmaceutical measure is a key strategy for preventing the spread of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) and herpangina (HA). However, the status of home quarantine remains unclear. This study aimed to provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and control of the HFMD and HA by investigating the situation and determining the factors influencing home quarantine in children with HFMD or HA. Methods The convenience sampling method was used in this cross-sectional study involving parents whose children suffered from HFMD or HA in 2019. An online questionnaire tool was used to collect demographic information, socioeconomic status, clinical factors, sources of advice, and details of home quarantine. Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the factors influencing of home quarantine. Results A total of 3145 parents answered the electronic questionnaire; among them, 317 had children diagnosed with HFMD or HA in 2019. After quality control, 298 questionnaires were included in the analysis. The whole compliance rate of home quarantine for HFMD and HA was 59.1%. Results of multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that having grandparents as the primary caregiver (OR = 2.53, 95% CI: 1.20–5.43) was a risk factor of home-quarantine noncompliance, whereas doctor's notification (OR = 0.35, 95% CI: 0.18–0.67) and advice from parents of other infected children (OR = 0.53, 95% CI: 0.31–0.91) can increase the compliance with home quarantine. Conclusions Home-quarantine measures for HFMD and HA were not well implemented. The caregivers, doctor's notification, and advice from parents of other infected children were associated with home-quarantine compliance. Corresponding measures should be taken to regulate home quarantine.

Previous studies suggested an association between female fertility and body size, but most of these studies were from Western countries and focused mainly on obesity. This study investigated the association between preconception body mass index (BMI) and time to pregnancy (TTP) in women planning to conceive from Shanghai, China. A total of 1,182 women aged 24-46 years were recruited from the Shanghai Birth Cohort between 2013 and 2015 and were followed up for 12 months. Preconception BMI was categorized as underweight, normal weight, and overweight/obesity according to the Chinese classification of BMI. Fecundability (FOR) and infertility (IOR) odds ratios were estimated using Cox (n = 1,092) and Logistic (n = 820) regression models, respectively. We found no differences in fecundability between underweight and overweight/obese women and normal-weight women. Furthermore, underweight and overweight/obese women did not have a higher risk of infertility compared with normal-weight women. Our findings suggest that non-optimal preconception BMI does not appear to influence female fecundability and infertility in Chinese women. These results should be interpreted with caution as they may be applicable only to women with demographic and anthropometric characteristics similar to our study population. Our findings need to be confirmed in other populations.

International audience; Significance: The vast majority of autoimmune diseases are polygenic, and causal loci uncovered by genetic-mapping studies explain only a minority of the heritable contribution to trait variation. Multiple explanations for this missing heritability include rare meaningful variants, rare copy number variations or deletions, epistasis, epigenetics, disease heterogeneity, and rare or infrequent variants that segregate within individual families (even within monozygotic twins). Here we demonstrate that experimental models of spontaneous autoimmune diseases may be invaluable tools to map rare germline variants impacting disease susceptibility traits. We identified a variant of the dual-specificity phosphatase 10 encoding gene that accelerates disease in an autoimmune type 1 diabetes model, the nonobese diabetic mouse.Abstract: Insulin-dependent or type 1 diabetes (T1D) is a polygenic autoimmune disease. In humans, more than 60 loci carrying common variants that confer disease susceptibility have been identified by genome-wide association studies, with a low individual risk contribution for most variants excepting those of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) region (40 to 50% of risk); hence the importance of missing heritability due in part to rare variants. Nonobese diabetic (NOD) mice recapitulate major features of the human disease including genetic aspects with a key role for the MHC haplotype and a series of Idd loci. Here we mapped in NOD mice rare variants arising from genetic drift and significantly impacting disease risk. To that aim we established by selective breeding two sublines of NOD mice from our inbred NOD/Nck colony exhibiting a significant difference in T1D incidence. Whole-genome sequencing of high (H)- and low (L)-incidence sublines (NOD/NckH and NOD/NckL) revealed a limited number of subline-specific variants. Treating age of diabetes onset as a quantitative trait in automated meiotic mapping (AMM), enhanced susceptibility in NOD/NckH mice was unambiguously attributed to a recessive missense mutation of Dusp10, which encodes a dual specificity phosphatase. The causative effect of the mutation was verified by targeting Dusp10 with CRISPR-Cas9 in NOD/NckL mice, a manipulation that significantly increased disease incidence. The Dusp10 mutation resulted in islet cell down-regulation of type I interferon signature genes, which may exert protective effects against autoimmune aggression. De novo mutations akin to rare human susceptibility variants can alter the T1D phenotype.

Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) is a common complication of cisplatin, which is characterized by intolerable paresthesia, burning, and hyperalgesia, and severely impacts the life quality of patients. However, no clearly potent drug has been found for clinical medication due to its undefined mechanism. Corydalis Saxicola Bunting, a traditional Chinese medicine, has been proven to work well in anti-inflammation, blood circulations improvement, hemostasis, and analgesia. This study was designed to observe the effects of Corydalis saxicola Bunting total alkaloids (CSBTA) on cisplatin-induced neuropathic pain and to explore its potential mechanisms. In this study, the rats received intraperitoneal injection of 2[Formula: see text]mg/kg cisplatin twice a week for five weeks. Meanwhile, oral administration of low (30[Formula: see text]mg/kg)-, medium (60[Formula: see text]mg/kg)- and high (120[Formula: see text]mg/kg)-dose CSBTA were given daily for five weeks. By using Von-frey hair, heat radiant and [Formula: see text]C cold acetone, we found that CSBTA could obviously relieve cisplatin-induced mechanical, heat, and cold hyperalgesia. It has been verified that cisplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy is related to intraepidermal nerve fibers loss and activation of inflammation downstream. Our research found that Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-[Formula: see text]), Interleukin-1beta (IL-1[Formula: see text]), and Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) were significantly increased by 10 intraperitoneal injections of cisplatin, and such pro-inflammation cytokines could be reduced via CSBTA administration. Besides, in the cisplatin model group, the neuronal structures of dorsal root ganglia (DRG) were severely damaged and the loss of intraepidermal nerve fibers occurred; but in the CSBTA administration groups, all above pathological changes were improved. Moreover, CSBTA could normalize the overexpression levels of p-p38 and Transient receptor potential vanilloid receptor (TRPV1) induced by cisplatin in DRG, trigeminal ganglion (TG), spinal cord, and foot of rats. In summary, we considered that CSBTA exerted its therapeutic effects by ameliorating neuronal damages, improving intraepidermal nerve fiber (IENF) loss, and inhibiting inflammation-induced p38 phosphorylation to block TRPV1 activation. These findings were the first to confirm the analgesic effect of CSBTA on CIPN and suggested a novel strategy for treating CIPN in clinic.

Changes in electrical properties of graphene devices induced by the energetic ion irradiation are very important for their application in harsh radiation environment. This paper presents the modulating behavior of electrical properties of graphene-based devices induced by swift heavy ions (SHIs). Graphene field effect transistors (GFETs) were irradiated by 1.79 GeV Ta ions and it was found that at lower fluence (109-1010 ions/cm2), the SHIs irradiation can effectively optimize the performance of GFETs, while at higher fluence (∼1011 ions/cm2), the electrical properties of the devices were significantly deteriorated after the irradiation process. The effective length and width of the graphene strip and irradiation fluence are the main factors that determine the improvement in performance of GFETs. Raman spectroscopy was employed to figure out the correlation between the initial defect density in graphene and changes in electrical performance of GFETs. It was shown that the competition among various factors such as the doping, local annealing and defect creation dominates the GFET performance. This work explores the best conditions for improving the electrical properties of GFETs and provides an important reference data for the utilization of graphene based irradiated devices in aerospace electronics.

The reliability degradation of HfO2-based devices under heavy ion irradiation is still an open question. In this letter, the ultrathin amorphous HfO2 gate stacks were irradiated by different types of swift heavy ions (SHIs). The fine structure of latent track in amorphous HfO2 is crystalline phase along the particle trajectory. The effects of latent track on the electrical properties were characterized by the high frequency capacitance-voltage (C-V) and the leakage current density-voltage (J-V) measurements. The quantitative relationship between microstructure changes and electrical properties provides a new method to estimate the threshold of the electronic energy loss ( ${(}\textit {dE}/\textit {dx}{)}_{\textsf {e}}$ ) for crystallization and allows for prediction of device sensitivity to SHIs irradiation.

We report on the first observation of fine structure of latent tracks in rutile TiO2, which changes from cylinder to dumbbell-shape and then to sandglass-shape as a function of the ion path length. Based on inelastic thermal spike model, we show that Hagen-Poiseuille flow of molten phase produces the hillocks on surface and the void-rich zone near surface after epitaxial recrystallization due to material deficit, while at a deep depth, the lack of efficient outflow and recrystallization result in the absence of tracks. We propose that core-shell duration of transient molten phase induced by swift heavy ion and parabolic distribution of fluid velocity are radial-dependent. Moreover, the various morphologies of tracks are a consequence of the molten phase outflow and recrystallization during rapid cooling down. Our perspective provides a new interpretation in the track formation.

Previous studies suggested that thyroid function in the first trimester of gestation played an important role in fetal growth. However, limited clinical data are available to support this relationship in the second trimester of gestation.We examined the relationship of maternal thyroid function parameters in early second trimester of gestation with birth outcomes in China.Participating 5016 mother-infant pairs were recruited from the Songjiang District Maternity and Infant Hospital, Shanghai, China, between July and December 2016. Linear regression assessed the associations of thyroid hormones with birthweight. Logistic regression tested the correlations between thyroid hormones and low birthweight, macrosomia, small for gestational age , and large for gestational age infants. Maternal serum TSH, TT3, TT4, FT3, and FT4 concentrations were measured in 16-20 weeks of gestation.TT3 and FT3 were positively associated with birthweight, while TT4 and FT4 were negatively associated with birthweight, respectively. Furthermore, higher TT3 and FT3 were associated with increased risks of LGA infants (OR = 1.48, 95% CI: 1.15-1.9; OR = 1.22, 95% CI: 1.01-1.46), respectively. Higher TT3 was associated with an increased risk of macrosomic infants (OR = 1.35, 95% CI: 1.04-1.74). In contrast, higher FT4 was associated with decreased risks of LGA (OR = 0.87, 95% CI: 0.81-0.93) and macrosomic infants (OR = 0.90, 95% CI: 0.84-0.96), respectively. No associations were found between TSH and any of the outcomes.TT3 and FT3 were positively associated with fetal growth, while TT4 and FT4 were negatively associated with fetal growth. Our findings suggested that thyroid function in early second trimester of gestation is a potential risk factor for abnormal fetal growth.

The advancement of the Marine renewable energy (MRE) industry will contribute to actualizing sustainable development in China. However, the Chinese MRE industry is still in its nascent stage. Therefore, effective policies are needed to improve the development of this emerging sector and facilitate its maturation. Focusing on MRE policies, this article provides constructive suggestions for the establishment and reform of Chinese MRE policy. It summarizes current MRE policies in both China and in nations with a relatively mature MRE industry, identifying the challenges in China's current MRE policy in the process. While several market incentive strategies have been found to be incomplete and have faced significant limitations during implementation, several non-market incentive strategies are entirely absent. Examining these deficiencies and their causes, this paper suggests corresponding improvement strategies: notably the need to reform the Marine Renewable Energy Funds, refine feed-in tariffs and subsidy policy, introduce a tradable renewable certificate, enact special laws for this field, and strengthen its publicity campaign.

Understanding and facilitating defects in two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) are of fundamental importance for their application in optoelectronic devices and valleytronic devices. In this study, swift heavy ion (SHI) irradiation was applied to introduce defects in monolayer WSe2 in a controlled manner. Temperature-dependent photoluminescence and transient absorption spectroscopy are employed to investigate the excitonic performances in defective WSe2. It is observed that the trion emission rises up alongside exciton emission for WSe2 irradiated with elevated ion fluences. Defects introduced by SHI irradiation can strongly localize carriers and weaken the exciton–phonon coupling and further affect the optical signatures of the excitons. Photoexcited electron–hole pairs were suppressed to form excitons due to the weaken phonon scattering, and the population of exciton was reduced for the irradiated WSe2. These results reveal that SHI irradiation is an effective technique to explore defect dependence of exciton formation and evolution dynamics in TMDCs, which have important implications for various optoelectronic applications.
