Through five semi-structured interviews with alternative hybrid third sector organisations who work with youth and employment efforts in Denmark, we have investigated how the paradoxical characteristic of alternativity and hybridity in the organisations affect the balancing of social values while pursuing financial stability.With use of key concepts such as third sector, hybridity, social value creation, neoliberalism, isomorphism and alternativity we have analysed and discussed the paradoxical nature of hybridity and alternativity through an empirical exploration of the organisations HjerteRum, FRAK, Grennessminde, Mind Your Own Business and FISKEN.Using an abductive approach to our research design, this thesis has been guided by a motivation to address the tensions and constant push between the organisational goals of social value creation and financial stability. By addressing these paradoxes and tensions this paper contributes to the discussion about alternativity in third sector organisations and how stakeholders such as municipalities and funds are actively affecting the way in which the chosen third sector organisations operate. We questioned if stable financing in third sector organisations is possible in a sector with increasing tendencies of neoliberalism without losing sight of the social values of the organisations. Further, we explored a discussion of the possibilities of remaining an alternative organisation in an increasingly commercialised and marketised third sector, that seem to draw inspiration from the private sector while rejecting, or being highly critical of, the values of the public sector. In conclusion, the paradoxes identified are inherent to alternative hybrid organisations and present both organisational uncertainty as well as possibilities for organisational development and innovation. By constantly having to balance social value creation with efforts to establish financial stability, alternative hybrid third sector organisations must continue to revisit and reinvent how they work with their own alternativity and the paradoxes within.

This thesis investigates how financial leverage affects equity returns across sectors on US stocks. Theory relevant to the subject suggests a positive relationship, while empirical studies have given contradictory results, with various research methods being used. Our cross-sectional regression models are based on the method developed by Fama and MacBeth (1973), and control for factors included in the CAPM, Fama French Five Factor model, and q-factor models. Our study provides evidence of how varying definitions of leverage can significantly impact the size and direction of the relationship between leverage and stock returns. Further, we find that the industry sector a company belongs to plays a role in explaining the relationship between leverage and stock returns. Our results find book leverage to be negatively related to stock returns when adjusting for factors in the CAPM, Fama-French Five Factor, and q-factor models, supporting the findings by Fama and French (1992) and Cai and Zhang (2011). Results for market leverage did, however, prove a positive relationship to stock returns when including Fama-French factors, supporting initial findings by Modigliani and Miller (1958), Hamada (1972), and Bhandari (1988). Thus, our findings show contradictory evidence of leverage being related to stock returns. A further interesting takeaway is the consistency of results for Energy and Consumer Staples, showing negative relationships between book leverage and stock returns across most regressions. nhhmas

Formålet med oppgaven er å verdsette Nordic Semiconductor. Ved hjelp av ulike analyser og verktøy vil vi forsøke å finne en estimert selskapsverdi og aksjekurs for selskapet. Problemstillingen er følgende: “Hva er Nordic Semiconductor ASA verdt per 31.12.2020?” Innledningsvis har vi beskrevet selve selskapet, redegjort for ulike faktorer i halvledermarkedet, og noen av produktene selskapet tilbyr. Videre i oppgaven har vi foretatt strategiske analyser som VRIO, Porters five forces og PESTEL, før vi oppsummerer de strategiske faktorene i en SWOT-analyse. Analysene gir et godt innblikk i fordeler og ulemper innad i selskapet, og trusler og muligheter selskapet må ta hensyn til på mikro- og makronivå. Videre i oppgaven har vi foretatt en regnskapsanalyse, som baseres på historiske regnskapsdata. Lønnsomhet, finansiering, soliditet og likviditet står sentralt i analysen, og vurderes ved hjelp av nøkkeltall som verktøy. I løpet av den 6-årige perioden som har blitt analysert, ser vi en markant forbedring i lønnsomhet og likviditet fra 2016 og til i dag. Egenkapitalandelen har holdt seg solid og jevn gjennom hele perioden, og har sett en liten stigning de siste årene. Avslutningsvis ble det gjort en fundamental analyse av Nordic Semiconductor. Verdsettelsen baseres på to modeller: kontantstrømmodell (DCF) og multippelanalyse. Analysene ga oss ulike kursmål, noe som kan forklares med hvordan de ulike modellene tar hensyn til potensiell vekst i selskapet. DCF modellen kom fram til et kursmål på 155,31 kroner per aksje, mens de ulike multippelanalysene var betydelig lavere, med verdier mellom 110 og 120 kroner. The purpose of this term paper is to value Nordic Semiconductor. Using various analyses and tools, we will try to find an estimated company value and share price for the company. The research problem is as follows: “What is the value of Nordic Semiconductor ASA per 31.12.2020?” Initially, we have described the company itself, explaining various factors in the semiconductor market, and some of the products the company offers. Further in the task, we have carried out strategic analyses such as VRIO, Porters five forces and PESTEL, before summarizing the strategic factors in a SWOT analysis. The analyses provide a good insight into the pros and cons within the company, and threats and opportunities the company considers at the micro and macro level. Further in the thesis we have carried out an financial statement analysis, which is based on historical accounting data. Profitability, financing, financial strength and liquidity are central to the analysis, and are assessed using key figures as tools. During the six-year period that has been analysed, we see a significant improvement in profitability and liquidity from 2016 and until today. The equity ratio has remained solid and steady throughout the period, and has seen a slight increase in recent years. Finally, a fundamental analysis and valutation of Nordic Semiconductor was carried out. The valuation is based on two models: the cash flow model (DCF) and multiple analysis. The analyses gave us different price targets, which can be explained by how the different models take the company’s potential growth into account. The DCF model gave a share price of 155,31, while the share price calculated by the different multiple analyses were significant lower, ranging between 110 and 120.

In this thesis, we investigate the impact of developing offshore wind farms in Træna on the local community and the fleet operating in the respective areas. In particular, we evaluate the catch value within each offshore wind farm area, and measure the following externalities, specifically detours caused by spatial occupation. We develop a model that locates catch value using position data and apply the distribution of this catch value to data without coordinates to create the best possible value estimate of specific areas, as well as using the position data to estimate detours and the consequent externalities of the detours. Our findings suggest that the negative impact of offshore wind on the commercial fishing industry, compared to the uncertainties surrounding future profitability of offshore wind, advocate that the decision regarding development of offshore wind in Træna should be made in coexistence with fishermen and that their opinions should weigh heavily. nhhmas

Low noise amplifiers are important parts of receiver units in radio systems that enables communication between military vehicles. The use of such an amplifier in military and maritime equipment poses challenges to the robustness of the amplifier. This report deals with the design and simulations of a low noise amplifier using the robust GaN MMIC GH25-10 process from Wolfspeed. It is specified that such an amplifier should deliver more than 13dB gain and have less than 2dB in noise figure for a 1.3 - 5.8GHz frequency band. Simulations of the amplifier in Keysight s Advanced Design System shows a maximum gain of 33.8dB at 1.3GHz while a minimum of 13.9dB is located at 5.8GHz. The noise figure demonstrates to be 1.68dB at most for 5.8GHz with a minimum of 1.08dB at 1.8GHz. The designed amplifier is also found to be unconditional stable from simulations. Intermodulation distortion is simulated in a two-tone test marking the linearity of the amplifier, while the output power is simulated in a single-tone test. To give an idea of robustness, there have been done simulations that shows at which input powers the amplifier reaches maximum ratings of the gate current, gate-source voltage and drain-source voltage. Junction temperature is simulated for different input powers with an ambient temperature of 85◦C for both transistors to further prove the robustness. Finally, the work has resulted in a layout that has been tested through an electromagnetic simulation. The results of this last simulation matches the previously simulated values for noise figure, gain and stability.

This master thesis studied the 3D-seismic dataset ST0825 located in the southwest Barents Sea. Aiming to map seismic anomalies and faults above and below the Upper Regional Unconformity (URU). The survey partly covers four different structural elements: Finnmark Platform, Tromsø Finnmark Fault Complex, Hammerfest Basin and Ringvassøy Loppa Fault Complex, south to north respectively. These areas are all affected by the tectonic activity from the Caledonian orogeny to lastly the creation of the North Atlantic Ocean. Making the study area complex with different faulting orientations and activity timing. The lithostratigraphy of the survey were mapped with the help of wellbore 7119/12-1, 7119/12-4 and existing publications. The different faults are mapped and categorized into First – Third class. Also, the seismic anomalies are mapped, interpret and discussed. In the survey, there are indications of migration hydrocarbon using mainly faults as migration pathways. There were also mapped a polygonal fault system, the same as Ostanin et al., (2012) mapped in the Hammerfest Basin. There were not found any indications that there have been tectonic activity post-URU, but there were indications that there has been fluid flow activity after its deposition with pockmarks mapped on the seafloor.

Cloud computing is still in an early stage of development and Microsoft is now investing considerable amount of resources in the cloud. Microsoft Azure is a cloud platform developed by Microsoft and it is continuously evolving, new features are constantly being added and old features are being updated. Integration Software, which is a company that focuses on products for system integration strongly believes that cloud­-based solutions will have a significant impact on their future. This is why selling and developing solutions and services for the cloud are strategically important for them. The objective of this dissertation is to investigate Microsoft Azure in general and Azure Marketplace in particular. This investigation consisted of an implementation of a Microsoft Azure application and integrating this application with Azure Marketplace and evaluating the expenses for running the application. The purpose for this project is to gain practical experience and to work with new techniques and help Integration Software better understand Azure Marketplace. The application is a Log Agent which fetches data from an external source and resends the data to an external party (Integration Manager). Our first intention was to package and deploy the application to a newly updated Azure Marketplace. The new Azure Marketplace was never released during this dissertation so we decided to deploy the application to the existing version of Azure Marketplace. This was however not fully successful. We encountered some problems in successfully deploying the application to Azure Marketplace. The evaluations for the cost of running an Azure application were not carried out due to lack of time.
