Contextualization: The analysis of genetic diversity is essential to preserve and adequately harness genetic resources, both plant and animal, and it is transcendental for developing selection and improvement strategies to obtain promising materials. Knowledge gap: There are few studies of characterization and analysis reported of genetic variability for mulberry Morus spp. in Colombia and need to be developed in order to provide information that enables refining and optimizing the management, use, and conservation of the available germplasm, contributing to the recovery and harnessing of these genetic resources’ potential. Purpose: The research aimed to genetically characterize the mulberry, Morus spp., collection of the Cauca region sericulture project using microsatellite markers. Methodology: 36 accessions belonging to the mulberry collection conserved at the Centro de Estudios Vegetales La Rejoya (Center for Plant Studies La Rejoya in English) of Universidad del Cauca were evaluated using ten microsatellites fluorescently labeled. The diversity and genetic structure parameters were evaluated. Additionally, the genetic relationships were determined through a cluster analysis. Results and conclusions: 49 alleles were detected, with a mean PIC of 0.57, indicating the use of polymorphic and informative markers. The population structure analysis with the Bayesian (STRUCTURE v 2.3.4) and grouping methods (Neighbor-joining and PCoA) indicated three discrete population groups with significant genetic differentiation of 22% (AMOVA - Fst; p<0.001). It highlighted the finding of nineteen different genotypes, suggesting the presence of a high number of duplicate materials that will have to be evaluated for the possible elimination of redundant resources in the germplasm bank., Contextualización: el análisis de diversidad genética es fundamental para conservar y aprovechar adecuadamente los recursos genéticos, tanto vegetales como animales, además trascendental para el desarrollo de estrategias de selección y mejoramiento para la obtención de materiales promisorios. Vacío de conocimiento: los estudios de caracterización y análisis de la variabilidad genética reportados para morera Morus spp en Colombia son pocos, por lo que es necesario su desarrollo a fin de proporcionar información que permita depurar y optimizar, tanto el manejo como el uso y la conservación del germoplasma disponible, aportando a la recuperación y aprovechamiento del potencial de estos recursos genéticos. Propósito: la investigación se orientó a caracterizar genéticamente la colección de morera Morus spp del proyecto de sericultura caucana empleando marcadores microsatélites. Metodología: se evaluaron 36 accesiones pertenecientes a la colección de morera conservada en el Centro de Estudios Vegetales de La Rejoya, Universidad del Cauca, utilizando 10 microsatélites marcados con fluorescencia. Se evaluaron parámetros de diversidad y estructura genética y, adicionalmente, se determinaron relaciones genéticas mediante un Análisis de Clúster. Resultados y conclusiones: fueron detectados 49 alelos, con un PIC medio de 0,57, indicando el empleo de marcadores polimórficos e informativos. El análisis de estructura poblacional con método bayesiano (STRUCTURE v 2.3.4) y el de agrupamiento (Neighbor-joining, PCoA) indicaron tres grupos poblacionales discretos, con una diferenciación genética significativa del 22% (AMOVA-Fst; p<0,001). Destacó el hallazgo de 19 genotipos diferentes, sugiriendo la presencia de un alto número de materiales duplicados que deberán ser evaluados para posible eliminación de recursos redundantes en el banco de germoplasma.

The research is aimed at analyzing the potential offer in the field of Dark Tourism in Ciudad Valles, San Luis Potosí with the intention of diversifying and offering tourism alternatives that can choose the tourist from a range of activities and allow to vent the places of the location in the holiday seasons of greatest demand. First, the concept of dark tourism is presented and some cases of this type of tourism are presented in the country and in the state of S.L.P. as a prelude to the analysis of the town of Ciudad Valles; The methodology used is qualitative and use is made of structured open interviews to the personnel of some dependencies of the Municipal Government, such as the Department of Culture and Tourism, and to chroniclers and historians of the Municipality. Subsequently, the results obtained from the research are presented, where different places are listed that have the ideal characteristics to be determined for the promotion of this type of tourism; finally it is shown in the conclusions that there is a potential offer of Dark Tourism based on the collective memory that is part of the historical heritage that can be patented in several specific points of the city., La investigación está orientada a analizar la oferta potencial en materia de “Turismo Oscuro” en Ciudad Valles, San Luis Potosí, con la intención de diversificar y ofrecer alternativas de turismo que permitan al turista elegir entre una gama de actividades y permita desahogar los parajes de la localidad en las temporadas vacacionales de mayor demanda. Primero se introduce el concepto de turismo oscuro y se presentan algunos casos de este tipo de turismo en el país y en el estado de S.L.P. como antesala al análisis de la localidad de Ciudad Valles; la metodología utilizada es cualitativa y se hace uso entrevistas abiertas estructuradas al personal de algunas dependencias del gobierno municipal, como el departamento de Cultura y el de Turismo, y a cronistas e historiadores del municipio. Posteriormente se presentan los resultados obtenidos de la investigación, donde se enlistan distintos lugares que cumplen con las características idóneas para ser considerados para la promoción de esta tipología de turismo; finalmente se muestra en las conclusiones que existe una oferta potencial de Turismo Oscuro basada en la memoria colectiva que forma parte del patrimonio histórico que puede patentarse en varios puntos específicos de la ciudad.
