Abstract

La presente investigación pretende comprender y retratar los comportamientos y patrones territoriales de las realidades rurales presentes en la Patagonia, particularmente en la sección correspondiente a Chile con el fin de reconocer lógicas de ocupación territorial bajo la hipótesis de que éstas, por su sensibilidades y particularidades, poseen conocimientos y formas coherentes de relacionarse con el territorio que podrían traducirse en futuros lineamientos para nuevas intervenciones y proyectos que están tomando lugar aquí tomando el circuito de Cochamó - Puelo - El león como caso de estudio. Se comienza con una revisión de la historia de territorio documentando su abandono, tanto por actores privados como públicos, que finalmente ha derivado actualmente en un habitante mayoritariamente rural, aislado, con actividades principalmente de subsistencia ocupando el territorio con una de las densidades más bajas del mundo resultando en una identidad propia distanciándose del país del cual forman parte. Luego una comprensión de la geografía nos permitirá entender este territorio como la suma de distintos ámbitos territoriales con características e implicancias propias lo que nos llevará a entender cada uno de estos por separado para trazar similitudes y diferencias con el fin de encontrar los patrones de asentamientos rurales presentes. Estas características de las ruralidades presentes en el territorio junto con el desafío de tener poca información disponible sobre este territorio, sobre todo con respecto a sus habitantes y sistemas no urbanos, han derivado en proponer una investigación basada en el dibujo como una herramienta de análisis y comprensión junto con la fotointerpretación, un conocimiento profundo y personal en el ámbito de estudio y un apoyo en aportaciones desprendible de sistemas información geográficos (SIG) permiten ir comprendiendo el circuito y sus expresiones rurales desde escalas macro territoriales, pasando por las escalas medias de los ámbitos te

Abstract

Our knowledge about the diversity of land planarians (Platyhelminthes: Geoplanidae) from the Andean-Patagonian Forests is scarce compared with other forested biomes. These cold-temperate forests are located in southern Chile and western Patagonia in Argentina, at the southern end of South America. Many species of land planarians from this region are known from descriptions based on a single or only a few specimens. Therefore, the finding of new material can reveal cryptic species, as well as anatomical or histological differences among specimens due to different maturation stages, physiological states, or intraspecific variation. In this paper, we focus on two geoplaninid species, Geoplana valdiviana and Amaga ruca, with the main goal of offering detailed re-descriptions of both species (previously known from Chilean Patagonia) from new material recently found in Argentinean Patagonia. In this contribution, we added new information on histological and anatomical features of these species. After assessing taxonomically relevant anatomical characters together with DNA sequence data (mitochondrial COI gene and nuclear 18S rRNA gene), we took three taxonomic decisions: (a) G. valdiviana was removed from Geoplana and re-allocated in the new genus Inakayalia; (b) Geoplana chanca and Geoplana tirua were also included in this new genus; and (c) A. ruca was split off from the genus Amaga and placed in the new monotypic genus Wallmapuplana. In addition, the known distribution of these planarian species was expanded to include the Argentinean portion of the Andean-Patagonian Forests.
