This present work uses artificial neural networks (ANNs) to examine the association between various dimensions of coaching leadership and turnover Intention. The coaching leadership data were collected from 194 employees across multiple schools in Korea. The ANN models are capable of higher predictive accuracy than conventional linear regression analysis. An individual ANN software was developed to predict and evaluate the relative importance of input variables on turnover intention. Furthermore, we identified the nonlinear relationship by performing a sensitivity analysis on the model. Based on the results, we concluded that coaching leadership strongly affects teachers' attitudes toward not leaving their school. The graphical illustration of results provided strong evidence of nonlinear and complexity, suggesting that ANN models can recognize the relationship between coaching leadership dimensions with turnover Intention.

This study analyzed factors affecting the acquisition and retention of employment among individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID). These factors were verified according to job type and were classified into general characteristics, family-related factors, psychological factors, and abilities. Data from 398 individuals with ID were analyzed using chi-square tests, independent "t"-tests, and regression analyses using the second wave of the first year Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled in Korea. We found significant differences in sex, education level, receipt of basic living security assistance, transportation use, household income level, and family support between employed and unemployed participants. Additionally, the employed (vs. unemployed) ID group had significantly higher scores for all variables related to psychological factors and abilities. Factors affecting employment among individuals with ID included age, education level, receipt of basic living security assistance, family support, and vocational ability. Older age, higher education level, absence of basic living security assistance, greater family support, and higher vocational ability were associated with a higher probability of current employment. Transportation use and parents' education were associated with a high probability of non-manufacturing-type jobs. Being married, absence of basic living security assistance, greater householder income level, family support, and manufacturing industry work were associated with increased job retention. Consequently, modifying the benefit system and developing family support systems may promote employment acquisition and retention among people with ID. Efforts are also needed to expand the job types available to individuals with ID.

Purpose: This descriptive study aimed to determine the mediating effect of self-efficacy on symptom experience and health-related quality of life in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods: Data were collected between November 7 and November 20, 2023, from patients receiving outpatient treatment at the pulmonology department of a tertiary general hospital in Jeonju City, following a diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Hayes's PROCESS macro 3.5 was utilized to verify the significance of the indirect effect of the mediator. Results: Symptom experience had a significant negative effect on self-efficacy (β=-.50, p<.001), with the model explaining 22.2% of the variance. Additionally, symptom experience negatively impacted health-related quality of life (β=-.20, p=.032), while self-efficacy positively influenced health-related quality of life (β=.33, p<.001), with the model explaining 52% of the variance. The indirect effect of symptom experience on health-related quality of life, mediated by self-efficacy, was significant (Indirect effect=-0.17, 95% Boot confidence interval=-0.33-0.03). Conclusion: To improve health-related quality of life in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, it is essential to assess symptom experience and self-efficacy levels. Background Implant-based breast reconstruction is associated with increased risk of early infection and late-stage capsular contracture. Objectives We evaluated the feasibility of a dual drug–releasing patch that enabled the controlled delivery of antibiotics and immunosuppressants in a temporally and spatially appropriate manner to the implant site. Methods The efficacy of a dual drug–releasing patch, which was 3-dimensional–printed (3D-printed) with tissue-derived biomaterial ink, was evaluated in rats with silicone implants. The groups included implant only (n = 10); implant plus bacterial inoculation (n = 14); implant, bacterial inoculation, and patch loaded with gentamycin placed on the ventral side of the implant (n = 10), and implant, bacterial inoculation, and patch loaded with gentamycin and triamcinolone acetonide (n = 9). Histologic and immunohistochemical analyses were performed 8 weeks after implantation. Results The 2 drugs were sequentially released from the dual drug–releasing patch and exhibited different release profiles. Compared to the animals with bacterial inoculation, those with the antibiotic-only and the dual drug–releasing patch exhibited thinner capsules and lower myofibroblast activity and inflammation, indicating better tissue integration and less foreign body response. These effects were more pronounced with the dual drug–releasing patch than with the antibiotic-only patch. Conclusions The 3D-printed dual drug–releasing patch effectively reduced inflammation and capsule formation in a rat model of silicone breast reconstruction. The beneficial effect of the dual drug–releasing patch was better than that of the antibiotic-only patch, indicating its therapeutic potential as a novel approach to preventing capsular contracture while reducing concerns of systemic side effects.
