Aiming to assist organized pastors in the Oriental region on good fattening practices, three workshops were organized in Beni Mathar (BM), Tendrara (TN) and Bouarfa (BF). The preparatory meetings raised awareness of the planned protocol and environmental constraints. The animals were identified, treated and weighed to constitute homogeneous batches. The batch 1 received food ration that satisfies animal needs (60% of barley, 10% of wheat bran, 20% of alfalfa hay, 10% of sunflower meal and CMV) and batch 2, serving as a control, is conducted in the manner of breeders (barley and wheat bran in addition to dried Stipa tenacissima in TN or oat hay in BM). After adaptation, the animals are fed morning and evening with control of refusals and adjustments. The performances recorded by the trial batches are encouraging with good growth rates (243.5, 236.1 and 199.6 g/day in BM; 262.3, 200.4 and 178.2 g/day in TN and 240, 282.8 and 202 g/day in BF respectively for GMQ 1-2, GMQ 2-3 and GMQ 3-4) compared to control batches (175.6, 171.9, 185.2 in BM and 198, 190 and 166.7 in TN) and good food conversion indices (6,0 against 7,5). The discussions at the end of each control, analyzed the evolutions in search of solutions to the problems. In addition to the need for supervision, the main constraints concern the difficulty of the environment, diseases and the market.

In Eastern Morocco, rangelands constitute an important feed resource for livestock. Therefore, determining the nutritional value of pastoral species is useful for efficient and sustainable management of these arid areas. This study aims to determine the chemical composition and nutritional value of 20 native pastoral species collected from different localities of Eastern Morocco. Nutritional composition of species was estimated by determining levels of dry matter, mineral matter, organic matter, total nitrogenous matter, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber and lignin detergent fiber. Results show that there were a highly significant differences among the species for all chemical compositions (P

Studies of changes in the steppe pastoral system of the high plateaus of eastern Morocco reflect an advanced degradation of the rangelands resources. The causes are most often anthropogenic. The subject of this work is to identify the social and territorial aspects and their effects in the rangelands use in rural communities in high plateaus of eastern Morocco. The identification of socio-territorial units and the rangelands uses were drawn from local knowledge. The toponymic districts were demarcated on topographic maps before carrying out individual interviews and group workshops with breeders in the study area. The frequencies of their uses have been calculated and then compared with the level degrees of degradation of toponymic districts. The results reveal different strategies despite the community's anchoring in the collective area. The collective has been reduced over the years to a recognized space for ethnic groups. Access to pastoral resources raises disparities between the fractions on the collective rangeland’s districts. The ‘weight’ of fractions is a determining factor in access to resources and is not always correlated with the size of flocks owned. Grazing decisions are made at the individual level and take very little account of the state of resources. This motivate a mode of use which clearly contribute to the desertification of rangelands. Attendance in toponymic districts shows that almost all of the sites are regularly exploited by herders who have become sedentary. Less degraded sites are highly sought after and therefore subject to disruption and a source of conflict. The behavior of breeders shows a lack of strategy with regard to the rangeland’s changes observed in the study area and makes difficult to forecast recovery without appropriate management methods.

- Abstract

- Abstract
Mediterranean rangelands. A 5-year experiment was conducted in deep and shallow soil rangelands of southern France. A rainout shelter for 75 days in summer imposed drier and warmer conditions. Total soil water content was measured monthly to model available daily soil water. Aboveground net primary production (ANPP), forage quality, and the proportion of graminoids in ANPP were measured in spring and autumn. Plant senescence and plant cover were assessed in summer and spring, respectively. The experimental years were among the driest ever recorded at the site. Therefore, manipulated summer droughts were drier than long-term ambient conditions. Interactions between treatment, community type, and experimental year were found for most variables. In shallow soil communities, spring plant cover decreased markedly with time. This legacy effect, driven by summer plant mortality and the loss of perennial graminoids, led to an abrupt loss of resilience when the extreme water stress index exceeded 37 mm 10 day−1, characterized by a reduction of spring plant cover below 50% and a decreased ANPP in rainy years. Conversely, the ANPP of deep soil communities remained unaffected by increased summer drought, although the presence of graminoids increased and forage nutritive value decreased. This study highlights the role of the soil water reserve of Mediterranean plant communities in modulating ecosystem responses to chronically intensified summer drought. Communities on deep soils were resilient, but communities on shallow soils showed a progressive, rapid, and intense degradation associated with a loss of resilience capacity. Notably, indexes of extreme stress were a better indicator of tipping points than indexes of integrated annual stress. Considering the role of soil water availability in other herbaceous ecosystems should improve the ability to predict the resilience of plant communities under climate change.

The 78 Nord Porte de Normandie territorial professional health communities (CPTS), created in 2020 in the Yvelines department, aims to improve care coordination and access to healthcare services for a population of 170,000 inhabitants spread over 57 communes. Driven by the Odyssée association, the project has been designed to meet the challenges of a region marked by social inequalities, unfavorable medical demographics and difficulties in accessing care. It stands out for its inclusive governance, bringing together healthcare professionals, users and local players, enabling decisions to be taken in line with the realities on the ground. Thanks to its collaborative approach and the commitment of its members, the CPTS has established itself as an essential pillar in the reorganization of care in its area., (Copyright © 2024 Elsevier Masson SAS. - Abstract
The arrival of CAR-T cell treatments in Europe in 2018 has considerably changed the clinical and logistical management of lymphoma patients. The aim of this study is to evaluate pathways of patients eligible for axicabtagene ciloleucel (axi-cel), particularly previously and afterwards of its administration, stages that are currently poorly documented in the literature. Ninety-eight patients from eleven French qualified centers eligible for axi-cel treatment between June 2020 and February 2021 were retrospectively included. Of all the stages in the care pathway evaluated, the median time observed between relapse after the previous line and prescription of axi-cel was 27days, and the median time between the multidisciplinary consultation meeting and axi-cel administration was 63days. The two main methods of discharge from hospital were a return home (65% of cases) or hospitalisation in a rehabilitation unit (20% of cases). Among all the geographical and organizational characteristics assessed, no factor was found to have a significant impact on the time length of the patient's journey, apart from the patient capacity of the qualified center, and the origin of the patient's referral (coming from a qualified or a referral center). Since the study was carried out, the number of qualified centers has continued to rise, improving territorial coverage and access to treatment., (Copyright © 2024 Société Française du Cancer. durabilité des ressources forestières de cette zone, abritant la cédraie la plus étendue du Maroc.

The paper presents the philosophy of the French philosopher Michel Serres, with an accent on his working method and unusual methodology. Starting from the thesis that the empiricist trait of Serres’ philosophy remains underexposed if one simply receives his work as that of a structuralist epistemologist, Serres’ monograph The Five Senses (1985) is then discussed in more detail. Here we see both a radical empiricism all his own and a closeness to phenomenology. Nevertheless, perception and language are not opposed to each other in Serres. Rather, his radical thinking of a world-relatedness of the bodily senses and an equally consistent understanding of a sensuality of language - and also of philosophical prose - are closely intertwined.

Pedagogy is part of a training relationship. It is characterized by an intention to develop the person and to mobilize a configuration of knowledge. The way of implementing produces the matter of the development of the persons and makes the value of the training. In this contribution, we analyze a training system that includes two populations: young apprentices and adults in professional activity. A quantitative and qualitative survey highlights the negotiation of knowledge that takes place in the course and in the action. We demonstrate how value is constructed for the learners and how the pedagogy is implemented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Recent research has drawn attention to the role of socialization in shaping the behaviors of rebel combatants during civil wars. In particular, scholars have highlighted how vertical and horizontal socialization dynamics can bring combatants to engage in a range of wartime practices, including the use of violence against civilians. This article synthesizes existing theories of combatant socialization and combines them into an integrated framework, which casts the focus on individual pathways toward civilian targeting and specifies the underlying sociopsychological mechanisms through which socializing influences motivate participation in violence. Specifically, the article charts five key pathways that operate through different mechanisms and that are based upon varying degrees of internalization regarding the legitimacy of civilian targeting. In each case, I also identify a number of unit-level factors that are likely to make a given pathway particularly prevalent among combatants. The article then illustrates how these pathways map onto the actual experiences of civil war combatants by examining the drivers of individual participation in violence against civilians among low-ranking members of the Revolutionary United Front in Sierra Leone. The case study evidence highlights the equifinal nature of violence perpetration during civil wars, shedding light on the different social needs, influences, sanctions, and constraints that may motivate involvement in violence. By analyzing rebel behavior through the prism of perpetrator studies, this article thus seeks to establish the civil war literature on firmer theoretical grounds, providing a synthetic account of the individual experiences, motives, and trajectories that are often left unaddressed in this body of research. The province of Ifrane is experiencing an accelerated extension of the cultivation of rangelands. This phenomenon threatens the sustainability of the forest resources of this area, where the most extensive cedar forest in Morocco. Despite the recognition of the negative impacts of cultivation in the forested areas of this province (dieback of trees by lopping and delimbing by shepherds, degradation of the grassy vegetation of forest areas, etc.), the extent of this phenomenon remains to be demonstrated. The main aim of this research was to estimate the extension of cultivation in the rangelands, and to analyze the evolution and dynamics of this phenomenon over time. The adopted methodology was based on diachronic analysis of land cover in Ifrane province between 1987 and 2012, using satellite data (Landsat and Spot images). Land cover maps were made through a decision tree-supervised classification, which allow following the calculation of "rangeland" and "cultivated land" occupations' areas, that highlighted a reduction in the area of rangelands of 94 446 ha, and an increase of 94 461 ha in the areas occupied by the crops. Cultivation extends at an annual average rate of 3778.4 ha / year in the expense of collective pastoral land, leading to an annual loss of 616 241.26 of forage units. Those units were compensated by an overexploitation of grassy and shrubby vegetation of the forests, but also the foliage of forest's trees by pruning, which are carried out by shepherds in times of scarcity (between October and December). Academic satisfaction has been studied from different perspectives that considerate distinct ways of measurement. However, the plurality of evaluated facets prevents a more parsimonious assessment of the general students' academic satisfaction. In the article, we aimed to provide psychometric evidence of the validity and reliability for the AMSS in Brazil in two studies (N = 893). In Study 1, an exploratory factor analysis and item parameters (Item Response Theory) support the one-factor solution and the suitability of the six items. Moreover, evidence for factorial invariance across gender and convergent validity with the PANAS and with the SWLS was also presented in Study 2. In conclusion, the present paper provides evidence of the adequacy of the AMSS to evaluate global satisfaction with the academics course in Brazil. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

HELIUM , *RADIOTHERAPY , *COMPUTED tomography , *LINEAR energy transfer , *PROTONS , *ONLINE monitoring systems - Abstract
Imaging is critical to each step of precision radiation therapy, i.e. planning, setup, delivery and assessment of response. Hadrontherapy can be considered to deliver more precise dose distribution that may better spare normal tissues from intermediate low doses of radiation. In addition, hadrontherapy using high linear energy transfer ions may also be used for dose escalation on biological target volumes defined by functional imaging. However, the physical characteristics of hadrontherapy also make it more demanding in terms of imaging accuracy and image-based dose calculation. Some of the developments needed in imaging are specific to hadrontherapy. The current review addresses current status of imaging in proton therapy and the drawbacks of photon-based imaging for hadrons. It also addresses requirements in hadrontherapy planning with respect to multimodal imaging for proper target and organ at risk definition as well as to target putative radioresistant areas such as hypoxic ones, and with respect to dose calculation using dual energy CT, MR-proton therapy, proton radiography. Imaging modalities, such as those used in photon-based radiotherapy (intensity modulated and stereotactic radiotherapy), are somewhat already implemented or should be reaching "routine" hadrontherapy (at least proton therapy) practice in planning, repositioning and response evaluation optimizable within the next five years. Online monitoring imaging by PET, as currently developed for hadrontherapy, is already available. Its spatiotemporal limits restrict its use but similar to prompt gamma detection, represents an area of active research for the next 5 to 10 years. Because of the more demanding and specific dose deposit characteristics, developments image-guided hadrontherapy, such as specific proton imaging using tomography or ionoacoustics, as well as delivery with MR-proton therapy, may take another 10 years to reach the clinics in specific applications. Other aspects are briefly described such as range monitoring. Finally, the potential of imaging normal tissue changes and challenges to assess tumour response are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

LAND cover , *RANGELANDS , *RANDOM forest algorithms , *LAND use , *MOORS (Wetlands) - Abstract
In this paper we experiment an approach allowing to produce a coherent land use and cover of rangelands in the French Mediterranean areas represented by the Occitania and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur regions. Four different data sources are used: the OSO land use and cover (OSO), the Registre Parcellaire Graphique (RPG), the BD-Forêt V.2.0 and Sentinel 2 L3A satellite data. The RPG of 2019 and the BD-Forêt updated in 2018 were used as the main source of reference data for training the models to classify the OSO 2019 low F-score class objects, after extraction of the reflectances, spectral and textural indices variables derived from Sentinel 2 L3A data. Three different sizes of reference data are constructed. Then six models were trained using the Random Forest (RF) algorithm: 3 models from the 3 datasets integrating all extracted variables (98) and 3 models considering only the important variables (30) defined by the RF. The results show stable overall accuracies for all datasets used and produce better discrimination of three out of four classes: grasslands, perennial crops and forests. Moorlands are not well discriminated due to their high spatial heterogeneity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
This article proposes to study the path of care of perpetrators of sexual abuse. In a classic version of this course, we start it when the person is charged. Here we want to report on the many steps, the many professionals she will have to meet. It is difficult to understand the number and nature of the assessments that the perpetrator of sexual abuse will have to pass. It also seems that depending on the location, on professionals, it will not encounter the same devices, procedures and same practices. On the judges' side, we will be able to observe strategies in the appointment of psychiatric experts. On the latter side, we will see profound differences in practice. From the point of view of care, we will distinguish between care during incarceration and after incarceration, which in the French legal framework do not have the same criteria. Indeed, during incarceration, care and inducement, whereas after that, when the judgment indicates, it is either an injunction of care or an obligation of care. This article is based on a literature review. The texts convened here are part of professional literature, practice research and government reports. Thus, while the literature mentions a wealth of practices, a variety of therapeutic offers to perpetrators of sexual abuse, the visibility and structuring of these offers remains unclear. Therefore, it seems to us that a reflection around cross-sector support mechanisms would make it possible to better coordinate these takes and tasks at the same time as it would facilitate the entrance into the care. - Abstract

- Abstract
This study describes the structure and phenology of Sahelian rangelands during the rainy season. It was undertaken on a grazed plot and a fenced plot. Measurements were taken every 10 days over two rainy seasons between July and October 2018 and between August and October 2019. The measurements included the phenological stage, the vegetative and flowering height, the coverage, and the phytomass. The results showed that phytomass did not systematically differ between grazed and fenced plots. Flowering started as early as mid-July, but most of the plants flowered in early October. Flowering and fruiting occurred earlier (based on the number of days after the first rain) in the late rainy season (2019) than in the early one (2018). These stages reached their peak in October; senescence began in October. Vegetative height, reproductive height, and coverage were similar between the two years. Height peaks were similar, but they were reached earlier (based on the number of days after the first rain) in the late rainy season than in the early one. Coverage peaks were similar (59.8% in the early rainy season vs. 65.8% in the late one). Vegetative height (around 30 cm), reproductive height (around 36 cm), and coverage (around 60%) reached their maximum in October, but reproductive height was greater than vegetative height. These parameters were lower at the grazed site compared to the fenced site, and flowering started earlier at the grazed site. The pasture had a negative impact on coverage, height, and early flowering. Structure and phenology were more sensitive than to changes in rainfall between years. Phenology results will help determine the best time to harvest the phytomass (phytomass stock), as the nutritional quality of the forage is known to decrease after fruiting.

Multidimensional, chronic, progressive and incurable, Parkinson's disease is, by definition, a palliative disease, and this from the moment of diagnosis. The aim of this paper is to consider two types of works of art that both participate from land-art and art of landscape. These objects require to be perceived during a course, a move on a defined and specified site, and have been intentionally designed for this walk. Some of them are scattered along the coastline, others are all set on top of a former (WW2) submarine base. We aim at showing that these works give rise to very different kinds of aesthetical experiences, and that their performativity is two fold. They move us differently. So, we’ll try to understand the reasons of this difference and we believe that we could find the basics in the form of the work and in the artist’s ability to embed aesthetical Ideas, in order to attract or draw us in a specific time and space.
