Sulfogalactosylglycerolipid (SGG, aka seminolipid) is selectively synthesized in high amounts in mammalian testicular germ cells (TGCs). SGG is an ordered lipid and directly involved in cell adhesion. SGG is indispensable for spermatogenesis, a process that greatly depends on interaction between Sertoli cells and TGCs. Spermatogenesis is disrupted in mice null for Cgt and Cst, encoding two enzymes essential for SGG biosynthesis. Sperm surface SGG also plays roles in fertilization. All of these results indicate the significance of SGG in male reproduction. SGG homeostasis is also important in male fertility. Approximately 50% of TGCs become apoptotic and phagocytosed by Sertoli cells. SGG in apoptotic remnants needs to be degraded by Sertoli lysosomal enzymes to the lipid backbone. Failure in this event leads to a lysosomal storage disorder and sub-functionality of Sertoli cells, including their support for TGC development, and consequently subfertility. Significantly, both biosynthesis and degradation pathways of the galactosylsulfate head group of SGG are the same as those of sulfogalactosylceramide (SGC), a structurally related sulfoglycolipid important for brain functions. If subfertility in males with gene mutations in SGG/SGC metabolism pathways manifests prior to neurological disorder, sperm SGG levels might be used as a reporting/predicting index of the neurological status.

While it is essential to increase agricultural production to meet the needs of a growing global population, this task is becoming increasingly difficult due to the environmental challenges faced in recent decades. A promising solution to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of agricultural production is the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT, UAVs, AI, and Blockchain. However, despite their potential, there is a lack of comprehensive bibliometric analyses that cover the full range of these technologies in agriculture. This gap limits understanding of their integration and impact. This study aims to provide a holistic bibliometric analysis of the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies in agriculture, identifying key research trends and gaps. We analyzed relevant literature using the Scopus database and VOSviewer software (version 1.6.20, Centre for Science and Technology Studies, Leiden University, The Netherlands)and identified five major thematic clusters within Agriculture 4.0. These clusters were examined to understand the included technologies and their roles in promoting sustainable agricultural practices. The study also identified unexplored technologies that present opportunities for future research. This paper offers a comprehensive overview of the current research landscape in Agriculture 4.0, highlighting areas for innovation and development, and serves as a valuable resource for enhancing sustainable agricultural practices through technological integration. Cannabinoid subtype 1 receptors (CB1Rs) are an important class of G proteincoupled receptors (GPCRs) belonging to the endocannabinoid system. CB1Rs play a crucial modulatory role in the functioning of other neurotransmitter systems and are involved in a wide range of physiological functions and dysfunctions; thus, they are considered one of the most important targets for drug development, as well as diagnostic purposes. Despite this, only a few molecules targeting this receptor are available on the pharmaceutical market, thus emphasizing the need to gain a deeper understanding of the complex activation pathways of CB1Rs and how they regulate diseases. As part of this review, we provide an overview of pharmacological and imaging tools useful for detecting CB1Rs. Herein, we summarize the derivations of cannabinoids and terpenoids with fluorescent compounds, radiotracers, or photochromic motifs. CB1Rs' molecular probes may be used in vitro and, in some cases, in vivo for investigating and exploring the roles of CB1Rs together with the starting point for the development of CB1R-targeted drugs. Since the introduction of the Shi catalyst, the organocatalytic epoxidation of olefins has become an area of continued research interest. To explore the possibility of enhancing the efficiency and stability of the catalyst, the synthesis of a galactose‐derived trifluoromethyl ketone, and its use for stereoselective epoxidation reaction that exploits a transitory dioxirane as active species are herein reported. The trifluoromethyl ketone was built on the C6 of a protected d‐galactopyranose. The organocatalyst was obtained smoothly in a few steps, and when utilized for stereoselective epoxidation exhibited excellent stability as no chemical alterations were observed during the reaction. The stereoselectivity, although sometimes moderate, appears surprisingly high considering the conformational freedom of the trifluoromethyl ketone moiety. DFT calculations were performed to investigate the interactions involved in regulating the observed selectivities. Moreover, a new mnemonic model has been developed to serve as a fast‐predicting tool for epoxidation of new substrates. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
