Abstract

The impact of exogenous chemical, physical and other factors has a direct effect on the hematopoietic and immune system of the body, which causes a targeted response, which is reflected in the clinical picture, and also demonstrates immunological and hematological changes. The research has the following goal: using the erythrocyte model as an example, to consider the possibility of using it as a bioindicator of the state of environmental elements. To achieve the goal, the relevant literature was studied and studies were carried out to study the effect of cytochalasin B on changes in the topography of the erythrocyte surface. The rearrangements of the elements of the cytoskeleton were also investigated using scanning electron microscopy with a cytochemical preparation - cytochalasin B. The following conclusions were made: the studies of the shape of cells and elements of the cytoskeleton reveal significant changes in its organization. Areas of dense hematoxylin staining are observed. It was shown that after 30-45 minutes of cytochalasin action, microfilament proteins are usually not detected, but actin localization in the near-membrane regions is observed. Thus, the drug cytochalasin B can act as a convenient and accessible stressor used in the form of a membrane-destructive substance to affect cell cultures and tissue cells. The use of the model presented by us showed that there is a rearrangement of the cytoskeleton of erythrocyte membranes, with characteristic changes: outgrowths appear over the entire surface of the membrane - bundles of fibrils, which characterize the degree of toxicity of the environment or toxic substance at the initial stages of toxicosis. The presented biological model is relevant, because its use is possible in the form of a bioindicator of the negative impact of toxic substances on the mammalian body. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

The Eurasian (née European) Modern Pollen Database (EMPD) was established in 2013 to provide a public database of high-quality modern pollen surface samples to help support studies of past climate, land cover, and land use using fossil pollen. The EMPD is part of, and complementary to, the European Pollen Database (EPD) which contains data on fossil pollen found in Late Quaternary sedimentary archives throughout the Eurasian region. The EPD is in turn part of the rapidly growing Neotoma database, which is now the primary home for global palaeoecological data. This paper describes version 2 of the EMPD in which the number of samples held in the database has been increased by 60 % from 4826 to 8134. Much of the improvement in data coverage has come from northern Asia, and the database has consequently been renamed the Eurasian Modern Pollen Database to reflect this geographical enlargement. The EMPD can be viewed online using a dedicated map-based viewer at https://empd2.github.io and downloaded in a variety of file formats at https://doi.pangaea.de/10.1594/PANGAEA.909130 (Chevalier et al., 2019).

Abstract

The articles are a comparative analysis of technical and economic indicators of thermal power plants, as well as steam turbine and steam and gas turbine units. As a result of the analysis, it was found out that the steam and gas turbine installation has several advantages compared to a steam turbine, such as lower specific fuel consumption, low cost of installed capacity, lower cooling water consumption and a small amount of harmful substances, which are the smallest, compared to other types of energy resources. installations. Целью статьи является сравнительный анализ технико-экономических показателей тепловых станций, работающих с паротурбинными и парогазотурбинными установками. 41. TRANSFORMATION OF VEGETNATION COMMUNITIES IN THE TAIGA ZONE OF THE URALS DURING THE HOLOCENE

Abstract

The results of long-term studies of the history of the plant ecosystems formation during the Holocene on the territory from the South to the Polar Urals are examined. The main method of investigation was the palynological analysis of peat bog deposits. The following regularities are established. In the Late Glacial throughout the Urals, forestless grass and shrub vegetation predominated. At the same time refugia of wood flora existed in the western foothills of the Southern and Middle Urals, which, with the warming in the Holocene, spread north and east, forming taiga forests in the region. The pioneer of afforestation was larch, followed by spruce and birch, later - pine, fir and broad-leaved tree. The leading factor in the development of vegetation formations during the Holocene was global climate change. The synchronous composition of plant communities was different in the latitudinal and altitudinal gradient. Against the background of the tendency of directed warming in the first half of the Holocene, successive changes in forest formations are distinguished in the regional vegetation of the Middle Urals: spruce-larch woodlands and pine-birch forests in the Early Holocene (8–11 ka), mixed broadleaf-coniferous forests in the Middle Holocene (4,2–8,2 ka). In the Northern and Subpolar Urals south-taiga forests were growing at this time, and in the modern forest-tundra of the Polar Urals and in the Southern Yamal the middle and north-taiga forests were formed. In the Late Holocene, a directed cooling began, a decrease in the participation of spruce, a gradual loss of the nemoral component from the composition of forests, and the formation of modern zonal vegetation. Abstract

Abstract

The modern challenge of materials science is the analysis of the surface of nanostructures, which is complicated by the small sizes of the nanoobjects and their number. In the presented study, we demonstrate a technique for evaluating the basic indices of the micromorphology of porous surfaces by analysing the microscopic image of the surface. Image processing and analysis software packages, such as ImageJ and Origin, are used for optimization, automation, and accuracy of analysis. Such an analysis allows us to evaluate the surface of nanostructures by various indicators: the shape and number of nanoobjects, their location and distribution by diameter, perimeter, etc. In addition, modelling the growth of nanoobjects in the depth of the crystal allows to trace the dynamics of the nanostructures’ synthesis process and to design nanostructures with predetermined parameters. Such studies are necessary to ensure reproducibility, uniformity, and accuracy of experiments for the fabrication of nanostructures at an industrial scale. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Purpose: The paper aims to determine the values of the main morphological characteristics of nanopatterns, which can be considered as the reference for use as surfaces of solar cells. Design/methodology/approach: The article uses an approach based on the definition of reference indicators of nanopatterns for solar cells by analysing the main parameters of solar cells and comparing them with the possible values of morphological parameters. Correlations of pore radius and visible wavelength, porosity and visible range, wavelength of de Broglie, nanopatterned layer thickness and charge carriers diffusion length, etc., are analysed. Compliance verification of morphological characteristics of nanopatterns with the specified criteria was performed on the example of porous silicon layers. Findings: The conducted research allowed to define the basic values of morphological parameters of porous nanopatterns, namely porousness, pore size (effective diameter), the thickness of the porous layer, and form factor. Reference ranges of morphological parameters of nanopatterns formed on the surface of semiconductors for applications in solar cells are established. Research limitations/implications: The article is devoted to the choice of optimal morphological characteristics of porous nanopatterns on the surface of semiconductors for solar cells. However, for solar cells, other types of nanopatterns can also be applied, for which it is also necessary to develop methods for selecting optimal parameters. Moreover, the prospect of research on this topic is to check the intrusion into a certain range of values of real nanopatterns formed on the surface of semiconductors. Practical implications: In the article the methodology allowing to choose optimal values of morphological parameters of nanopatterns for its application for solar cells is considered. Such studies are of great practical importance for the production of high-quality solar cells based on nanopatterned semiconductors. Originality/value: The article for the first time considers the choice of the nanopattern type and the ranges of morphological parameters in terms of quality assurance of the final product -- the solar cell. It is determined that it is necessary to take into account such factors as porousness, pore size, thickness of the porous layer and roundness. Abstract

Цель исследования – анализ современных взглядов об этиопатогенетических ме- ханизмах и клинико-диагностических подходах к вегетативным расстройствам у новорожденных детей с перинатальным поражением центральной нервной системы (ППЦНС). Проведен анализ 26 зарубежных и российских публикаций, посвященных исследованию вегетативно-висцеральных нарушений, как синдрома перинатального поражения центральной нервной системы. Установлено, что в структуре заболеваемости новорожденных перинатальное поражение центральной нервной системы (ЦНС) занимает главенствующую позицию, одной из основных причин, которого является внутриутробная гипоксия и асфиксия в родах. Поражение диэнцефальных структур, лимбической системы, продолговатого мозга на фоне незрелости высших вегетативных центров остается основным патогенетическим механизмом формирования вегетативно-висцеральных нарушений и не теряет своей актуальности. Репрезентация клинических симптомов может быть как в остром, так и в восстановительном периоде поражения ЦНС. Неспецифичность симптомов вегетативно-висцеральных нарушений, затрудняющая диагностику, требует более тонкого и детального исследование вегетативной функции ЦНС. Исследователями отмечается информативность такого неинвазивного и простого метода, как кардиоинтервалография. Обращается внимание на важность катамнестического наблюдения детей, перенесших ППЦНС с синдромом вегетативно-висцеральных нарушений, как фактора риска формирования стойкой вегетативной дисфункции. We analyzed 26 of Russian and foreign publications dedicated to study of vegeto-visceral dysfunctions as a syndrome of perinatal affection of the central nervous system. We have found that perinatal affection of the central nervous system (CNS) is the major disease in morbidity patterns of the new-born and is associated mainly with intrauterine hypoxia and birth asphyxia. Affection of diencephalic structures, visceral brain and spinal bulb in connection with immature higher vegetative centers is the major pathogenic mechanism of vegeto-visceral dysfunction developing, and it is relevant. Clinical symptoms may be represented both in acute and rehabilitation periods of the CNS affection. The symptoms of vegeto-visceral dysfunctions are non-specific that makes it difficult to give a diagnosis and requires more thorough and detailed examination of the vegetative function of the CNS. Researchers note that such non-invasive and simple method of cardiointervalography (CIG) is informative in this case. Much attention is paid to follow-up supervision of children who have suffered perinatal affection of the central nervous system (PACNS) with the syndrome of vegeto-visceral dysfunctions as a risk factor for a permanent vegetative dysfunction.
