Income inequality is seen as one of the main socio-economic problems in Turkey, as in all countries in the world, regardless of their development status. This situation indicates the importance of analyzing the relationship between regional growth and income distribution and constitutes the driving force of this study. In this context, the main objective of the study is to determine the effects of central and regional budget revenues and expenditures on income distribution and regional growth in Turkey. In the study, two different models with GDP and Gini coefficient as independent variables were constructed using the annual data within the scope of classification of Statistical Region, SR Level 2 (26 Region) for the period 2014-2022, and tested by the panel data analysis method. According to the results of the analysis, although central budget expenditures have a positive effect on income distribution, regional budget expenditures have a negative effect. In addition, while regional budget revenues positively affected income distribution, central budget expenditures, migration, and growth had no statistically significant effect on income distribution. On the other hand, when the factors affecting growth are analyzed, it is concluded that the effects of regional and central budget revenues are positive, regional budget expenditures are negative, and central budget expenditures, migration of regions, and income distribution are statistically insignificant.
