The new Neotropical doryctine genus Doryctopambolus gen. n. is erected to contain D. pilcomayensis (van Achterberg & Braet, 2004), comb. n., which was previously placed within Pambolus (Pambolinae), as well as three new species, D. clebschi sp. n., D. dominicanus sp. n. and D. sarochensis sp. n. Members of this new genus are mainly characterised by the presence of at least one pair of conspicuous propodeal apico-lateral projections, which are similar to those present in all members of Pambolinae and in species of three Australasian doryctine genera. We generated DNA barcoding sequences for the three newly described species. We discuss the morphological similarity between species of the Australasian Echinodoryctes Belokobylskij, Iqbal & Austin and Doryctopambolus. A key for the described species of Doryctopambolus is provided. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Pambolus albospina sp. n. and Pambolus rastafari sp. n. are described from Jamaica. Pambolus rastafari can be distinguished from all other Neotropical species of the genus by its antennal color pattern and the smooth sculpture of the head and mesoscutum. Pambolus albospina is morphologically close to P. hemitaeniatus van Achterberg, from which it can be distinguished by the number of white antennal segments and the sculpture on the first metasomal tergite. These two new species constitute the first records of the genus for the Caribbean Islands. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Braconidae is one of the insect families with more diversity in the world. Pambolinae is one of the most distinctive subfamilies because the spines present on the propodeum. In this note, Pambolus oblongispina Papp is a new record for Mexico, collected in the State of Tamaulipas. This species was previously known only from Honduras.

In this paper, some faunistic results about the subfamilies Exothecinae, Hormiinae, Pambolinae and Rhyssalinae from Spain are presented. The genera Acrisis, Avga, Colastes, Noserus and Xenarcha are new record to the Spanish fauna, and eight species are a novelty. A updated check-list of all recorded species from Spain of these subfamilies is provided.
