Objective: To report the characteristics of the implementation process of the video supervised treatment (VST) of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in a first level health care center of the Social Security in Peru. Methods: An observational study was carried-out including patients enrolled from 18/09/2018 to 24/09/2019. Eight out of nine patients completed the VST, one patient was transferred to other institution before finishing treatment. One nurse trained at Partners in Health arranged the 727 video calls. Results: adherence to treatment was 100%. Conclusions: VST may be a useful alternative for patients with drug sensitive tuberculosis. Objetivo: Describir las características de la implementación del tratamiento supervisado por video (VDOT) en pacientes con tuberculosis en un establecimiento de salud de la seguridad social del primer nivel de atención en Perú (EsSalud). Material y métodos: Estudio observacional, descriptivo. Los pacientes fueron enrolados de forma prospectiva de 18/09/2018 al 24/09/2019. Ocho de los nueve pacientes seguidos completaron el tratamiento VDOT. Un paciente fue transferido a otro establecimiento de salud antes de terminar el seguimiento. Una enfermera entrenada de Socios En Salud gestionó las 727 video llamadas. Resultados: Se obtuvo una adherencia al tratamiento del 100%. Conclusiones: La estrategia VDOT sería una modalidad alternativa útil en pacientes con tuberculosis sensible.

La tesis tiene como objetivo general explorar los casos de externación forzosa de hijos/as de las mujeres privadas de la libertad en la Unidad 31 del Servicio Penitenciario Federal sucedidos entre abril de 2014 y abril de 2019. Algunos interrogantes que se intenta responder son ¿Cómo actúan estos casos sobre la población de madres privadas de la libertad alojadas con sus hijos/as? ¿Por qué el Estado en algunos casos interrumpe el vínculo cotidiano entre madre privada de la libertad e hijo/a de manera temprana, si la legislación vigente permite que los/as niños se alojen con sus madres hasta los 4 años de edad? A modo de respuesta tentativa o probable, se plantea como hipótesis que estos casos de externación forzosa funcionan en algunos niveles como técnica de disciplinamiento y de amenaza para el resto de la población de mujeres alojadas con sus hijos/as. Al mismo tiempo, se analizan los dispositivos y saberes que operan sobre ciertas familias e infancias, a los fines de explorar el rol del Estado en los casos de institucionalización, reubicación y adoptabilidad de los hijos/as -convertidos/as en “menores”- de las mujeres presas etiquetadas como “malas madres”. Los objetivos de la investigación fueron abordados a partir de una estrategia cualitativa utilizando el método de estudio de caso, a partir del relevamiento de expedientes y de entrevistas efectuadas a víctimas de la práctica de externación y a especialistas en el tema. The general objective of the thesis is to explore the cases of forced interruption of the maternal and filial bond of incarcerated women in Unit 31 of the Federal Penitentiary Service that occurred between April 2014 and April 2019. Some questions that we are trying to answer are: How do these cases affect the population of incarcerated mothers with their children? Why in some cases the daily bond between the imprisoned mother and her child is interrupted at an early stage, if current legislation allows children to stay with their mothers in prison up to 4 years of age? It is hypothesized that these cases function as a discipline and threat technique for the rest of the population of women incarcerated with their children. At the same time, the devices and knowledge that operate on certain families and childhoods are analyzed, in order to explore the role of the State in cases of institutionalization, relocation and adoptability of children - turned into "minors" - of imprisoned women labeled "bad mothers." The objectives of the research were approached from a qualitative strategy using the case study method, from the survey of files and interviews carried out with victims of the outpatient practice and specialists on the subject.
