Robots have gained researchers’ attention as new technologies advance in the hospitality industry. In recent years, the worldwide demand for automation has caused the idea of serving robots to raise business sustainability through technological innovations. This study aimed to analyze the efficacy of service robots on employee job loss insecurity and turnover intention. A convoluted mediation and moderation mechanism among study constructs is uncovered using a quantitative process. Our results demonstrate that robot performance efficacy positively relates to robot perceived usefulness and speed of service and positively affects employees’ job loss insecurity. Robot perceived usefulness and speed of service mediate the relationship between robot performance efficacy and employees’ job loss insecurity. The study’s findings also revealed the effect of job loss insecurity on turnover intention. Background: Adolescence is a particularly crucial period of physical, emotional, and social development and adaptation, rendering these formative years rather challenging for individuals with chronic conditions like type 1 diabetes (T1D). Despite rapid improvement in diabetes therapies, adolescents with T1D are characterized by poorer adherence to treatment regimens compared with other pediatric age groups. Insufficient adherence is strongly related to low diabetes control, increasing morbidity, and risk for premature mortality. This study aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of adolescents' most common barriers to T1D adherence, stressing the need for a deep and comprehensive understanding of these barriers. The complexity of these barriers is underscored by the diverse factors contributing to poor T1D adherence in adolescents. Methods: A narrative review was conducted, surveying four databases (PubMed, Scopus, EMBASE, and Web of Science) for full-text articles in the English language published up to June 2024. All studies related to barriers to T1D adherence in adolescents were considered. The literature was selected using selection and exclusion criteria and extracted and organized using Mendeley. Exclusion criteria included studies with insufficient data and non-peer-reviewed articles. This review revealed that adolescents face numerous obstacles to T1D adherence related to psychological factors, flux in family dynamics, perceived social pressures, therapy-related factors, transitioning responsibility, risk-taking behaviors, and pubertal changes. Conclusions: Navigating the adaptations to the different aspects of T1D, from treatment to complications and adolescents' personal growth, effectively requires a thorough understanding of the barriers of a treatment regimen that patients at this critical age face. The field of performing arts presents an often unpredictable area for career development. Yet many people are drawn to this field as their chosen career trajectory. This study examines the life-career experiences that shape performing artists' trajectories within the framework of career construction theory. Using a qualitative multiple case study design, data was generated by Career Interest Profiles (CIP), career construction interviews (CCI), life-design counseling, and publicly available information. Thematic analysis uncovered two primary themes: the unique journey of performing artists in constructing their careers and the trajectory of career development, which highlights the factors influencing perceived success or failure and the essential 'survival skill set. In the modern information society, the study of social aspects in the economic behavior of information users is becoming more and more relevant. With the deepening of the use of social networks, the development of a global community and the increase of access to information, the importance of understanding social factors in economic processes becomes an extremely important issue that cannot be ignored. Decisions made at the level of individuals, groups, business entities or society as a whole have a decisive influence on the formation of not only consumer behavior and habits, but also on economic trends and business development. Disclosure of social aspects is an important component for understanding modern economic realities and forecasting future directions of development. As a result of the research, the key factors that determine people's decisions in the economic sphere and their influence on the processes of management decision-making in business were identified and analyzed. These findings help to better understand possible changes in the economic environment and their possible consequences for society as a whole. The research results open up new opportunities for analyzing and forecasting economic trends, and also provide valuable information for developing management strategies and making effective economic decisions.

Introduction: Depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide. Support can be provided by the arts. Objective: The aim of the study was to explore the experiences of patients with depressive symptoms after a circus performance. Methods: A qualitative research study using a phenomenological approach was carried out. The design was approved by an ethics committee. Volunteers were referred by general practitioners to an ambulatory cultural program and were invited to express their experience throughout interviews that were analyzed with the interpretative phenomenological analysis method. Results: Twelve patients participated in the interviews. The effect on the patient was linked to interactions with the performance. It was an effective way of socializing for patients. The show offered patients distance from their daily difficulties. The circus provided specific elements as a resource for patient empowerment. The experience lived by patients during a circus performance is a cognitive phenomenon inducing an influence on the spectator with depressive symptoms. A beneficial effect depended on the artistic content selected, the support offered by the organization operator, and the medical orientation. Conclusions: The observations characterized the emotional reception of a circus show among people. This study invites further exploration of the impact of circus art on the quality of life of patients with depressive symptoms. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background comprehensive medication management (CMM) can reduce medication-related risks of falling. However, knowledge about inter-individual treatment effects and patient-related barriers remains scarce. Objective to gain in-depth insights into how geriatric patients who have fallen view their medication-related risks of falling and to identify effects and barriers of a CMM in preventing falls. Design complementary mixed-methods pre–post study, based on an embedded quasi-experimental model. Setting geriatric fracture centre. Methods qualitative, semi-structured interviews framed the CMM intervention, including a follow-up period of 12 weeks. Interviews explored themes of falling, medication-related risks, post-discharge acceptability and sustainability of interventions using qualitative content analysis. Optimisation of pharmacotherapy was assessed via changes in the weighted and summated Medication Appropriateness Index (MAI) score, number of fall-risk-increasing drugs (FRID) and potentially inappropriate medications (PIM) according to the Fit fOR The Aged and PRISCUS lists using parametric testing. Results thirty community-dwelling patients aged ≥65 years, taking ≥5 drugs and admitted after an injurious fall were recruited. The MAI was significantly reduced, but number of FRID and PIM remained largely unchanged. Many patients were open to medication reduction/discontinuation, but expressed fear when it came to their personal medication. Psychosocial issues and pain increased the number of indications. Safe alternatives for FRID were frequently not available. Psychosocial burden of living alone, fear, lack of supportive care and insomnia increased after discharge. Conclusion as patients' individual attitudes towards trauma and medication were not predictable, an individual and longitudinal CMM is required. A lifelong gluten-free diet (GFD) is the only treatment for celiac disease and other gluten-related disorders. Nevertheless, strict adherence to the GFD is often challenging due to concerns about social isolation, risk of gluten contaminations, high cost, poor quality and the taste of gluten-free products. Moreover, although the GFD is effective in achieving mucosal healing, it may lead to dietary imbalances due to nutrient deficiencies over a long period of time. To overcome these issues, several gluten-free wheat flours have been developed to create products that closely resemble their gluten-containing counterparts. Furthermore, given the critical importance of adhering to the GFD, it becomes essential to promote adherence and monitor possible voluntary or involuntary transgressions. Various methods, including clinical assessment, questionnaires, serology for celiac disease, duodenal biopsies and the detection of Gluten Immunogenic Peptides (GIPs) are employed for this purpose, but none are considered entirely satisfactory. Since adherence to the GFD poses challenges, alternative therapies should be implemented in the coming years to improve treatment efficacy and the quality of life of patients with celiac disease. The aim of this narrative review is to explore current knowledge of the GFD and investigate its future perspectives, focusing on technology advancements, follow-up strategies and insights into a rapidly changing future. Diabetic foot ulceration (DFU) is common and highly recurrent, negatively impacting the individuals' quality of life. The 2023 guidelines of the International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot emphasise that adherence to foot self‐care recommendations is one of the most important factors in DFU prevention. These guidelines also briefly mention that depression and other psychosocial problems can hamper treatment and ulcer healing. Moreover, a new clinical question was added on psychological interventions for ulcer prevention, although the evidence regarding the role of psychological and social factors is still limited. To help the field progress, this narrative overview discusses how a stronger focus on psychological factors by both researchers and clinicians could improve the care for people at high DFU risk. The review starts with a testimony of a person living with DFU, explaining that for him, the absence of shared decision‐making has been a key barrier to successful foot self‐care implementation. Intervention studies that address patient‐reported barriers are still scarce, and are therefore urgently needed. Furthermore, the key elements of psychological interventions found to be successful in managing diabetes are yet to be implemented in DFU risk management. Importantly, research evidence indicates that commonly advocated foot self‐care recommendations may be insufficient in preventing DFU recurrence, whereas digital technology appears to effectively reduce recurrent DFU. A movie is a medium to convey a story that is packed in the form of moving pictures. Conflicts that appear in a movie can influence the psychological aspect of the character, especially the motivation of each character to do something after facing a conflict or having a problem. This study was conducted to analyze how psychological aspects affect the character’s feelings and behavior in a movie entitled “Ticket to Paradise”. This study applied a qualitative method. The data were collected by note-taking the scene in the movie that contained psychological aspects of Georgia Cotton. The study focused on the data that showed action triggered by psychological aspects. The data were categorized and analyzed using Bernhardt's theory of the psychological aspect of human motivation (1945). The findings were presented in a table and explained descriptively. This study identified that the aspect of organic needs or appetites should be fulfilled to reach Georgia’s satisfaction, the aspect of wants could influence Georgia to solve a problem, Georgia’s behavior was affected by the aspect of emotion, the aspect of feeling and experience influenced Georgia in making a decision, and social motives shown by Georgia as a social creature in a society.

Palliative care clinicians enhance the illness experiences of patients and their families through building therapeutic relationships. Many psychological concepts underlie a clinician's approach to a specific patient. Through high-yield tips, this article highlights ten selected psychological elements that palliative care clinicians often use to support patients. As we all (both clinicians and patients) bring our own histories and unique biographies to the work of palliative care, a more explicit focus on the psychological aspects of this work can enhance our own experience and efficacy as providers. Background: Providing care for a child diagnosed with cancer presents significant emotional and psychological difficulties for parents, especially mothers. Objectives: The study investigates association between psychological aspects and coping strategies among mothers of children with cancer. Methodology: A Correlational study was undertaken at the Middle Euphrates Cancer Center in AlNajaf Al Ashraf Governorate from July 31th, 2022, to September 28th, 2023. The questionnaire's validity was ensured through expert consultation, and its reliability was established through a preliminary pilot study. Data were collected by structured interviews using the questionnaire and subjected to thorough analysis employing both descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Results: The findings of this study show that a significant percentage (54.9%) of mothers with children diagnosed with cancer are experiencing significant psychological distress. Moreover, a substantial number (58.8%) of these mothers are using coping strategies that are not very effective. The study also reveals a strong, negative correlation between the psychological well-being of these mothers and their coping strategies, particularly in areas such as family integration (r = -.445; p < 0.01), social support (r = -.353; p < 0.01), communication with healthcare professionals (r = -.522; p < 0.01), and overall coping (r = -.624; p < 0.01). Conclusion: The study highlights the alarming prevalence of psychological distress among mothers with children diagnosed with cancer and underscores the ineffectiveness of many coping strategies employed by these mothers. It is recommended that healthcare professionals and support organizations prioritize the provision of tailored psychological support and social support networks to alleviate the psychological burden faced by these mothers.
