Abstract

It is experimentally proven that the main cause of vibration excitation of equipment and internals of the main circulation circuit (MCC) are acoustic standing waves (ASW) and main circulation pumps (MCP). Usage of an interdisciplinary approach made it possible to create a digital acoustic model of pressurizer system with pipelines attached to it and prove that it is a self-oscillating system capable of generating acoustic standing waves (ASW) similar to simultaneous operation of several Helmholtz resonators. Each Helmholtz resonator in pressurizer is able to suppress a certain frequency of ASW generated by the reactor, which depends on coolant temperature. Determination of natural frequencies of coolant pressure oscillations (NFCPO) in pressurizer using Thomson formula is based on method of electroacoustic analogy. Acoustic compliance of pressurizer and acoustic mass of various combinations of pipelines connected to it make it possible to calculate NFCPO, in the system under consideration, according to the formula presented in the form of acoustic analogues of inductance and capacitance. Acoustic parameters of a system of Helmholtz resonators formed by a pressurizer and a connecting pipeline with hot leg of the third loop in nominal operating mode of NPP with WWER-1000 are calculated. A technology has been developed and verified, advantage of which is usage of a pressurizer for damping ASW, frequencies of which fall within vibration bandwidth of primary circuit structural elements. Calculation and experimental proof of previously unknown ability of pressurizer to damp ASW generated by the reactor in a wide frequency range is given, and possibility of preventing resonances with vibrations of equipment and NPP structures is substantiated.

Abstract

The article shows dynamics of value figures on market of digital finance assets. The research studies methods of the sensitivity theory in tasks of optimal management of non-linear systems for automated monitoring and controlling the portfolio of digital finance assets and crypto-currencies. The authors study process modeling in economic systems, set the task of optimal management by the system of non-linear differential equations and target functionality, describe the variation method of task resolving, the principle of invariability of non-linear systems and possibilities to model economic systems provided by the solution. The approach to investigating dynamics of economic systems based on the principle of maximum was analyzed. The article shows possible application of the approach for resolving optimization tasks and for methods of management with split and continuous character in conditions of uncertainty typical of economic systems. Functions of non-linear sensitivity are identified. The use of the sensitivity theory for tasks of optimal management of non-linear systems was studied, illustrated by estimating the vector of unknown parameters of dynamic system. The authors analyze the condition in tasks of economic modeling with regard to uncertainty caused by social and psychological reasons. The material provided in the article shows possibilities of using the method of sensitivity analysis for tasks of system decomposition and related transformations in systems of differential equations.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to highlight the key aspects necessary for the formation of a methodology for designing systems for managing trading operations over cryptocurrencies. The methodology of designing digital asset management systems defines a set of rules for using methods, models and algorithms required to build systems that solve the complex problem of managing trading operations over digital economy assets. For this purpose, the dynamics and trends of pricing of digital investment and financial assets are investigated to identify the peculiarities and specific patterns of cryptocurrency, taking into account the mathematical model of issuance in the conditions of a dynamic crypto-asset market, functioning continuously and forming cyclicality and wave structures.Materials and methods. The object of the study is the dynamics of value indicators of the market of digital financial assets and digital currencies. The subject of the study is methods, models and algorithms for automated monitoring and management of digital financial assets and cryptocurrencies. The methodological basis of the research is formed by blockchain technologies, modeling and mathematical statistics methods, artificial intelligence methods. The statistical information base of the research is formed on the basis of the history of Tradingview’s value quotations from international trading exchanges of digital currencies, as well as by Coinmarketcap and Coingecko cryptoasset market integrators. Problems of modeling processes in economic systems are considered, the problem of optimal control is defined. A critical analysis of the state in the tasks of economic modeling is carried out, taking into account the uncertainty caused by social and psychological reasons.Results. The proposed methodology offers a comprehensive solution to the problem of managing digital financial assets and other financial instruments based on blockchain technology. Digital currencies act as the management object of the proposed methodology, the initial information is a vector of parameters that determine the sensitivity of the system to the perturbing influences of the external environment and the requirements for the expected management results. In accordance with the scientific novelty of the research and methodology, a set of interrelated research stages is formed, consisting of an ordered cascade of methods, models and algorithms that perform preliminary analysis, processing and forecasting of financial time series of value indicators.Conclusion. New blockchain technologies and the emergence of Chat GPT (generative pre-trained transformer) pose new challenges to society, which hopes to utilize such solutions, including for economic tasks. With the help of prediction-free methods and artificial neural networks it is possible to design software systems, thanks to which it is possible to increase the efficiency of trading operations at optimal risks in automatic and automated mode of trade execution. The proposed methodology of management with auxiliary intellectual analysis of time series and application of combined method of decision-making allows managing the portfolio of a new asset class of digital currencies based on blockchain technologies. Taking into account the technical similarity of digital currencies with digital financial assets, it is possible to use the methodology also for the creation of digital financial asset management systems.

Abstract

The introduction provides an overview of scientific research on the sources of generation, characteristics and classification of infrasound. It is noted that infrasound has a number of features related to the low oscillation frequency of the elastic medium and the diffraction property. Infrasound has harmful effects on hearing, breathing, vision, gastrointestinal tract, nervous and cardiovascular systems, brain and vestibular apparatus, leading to decreased performance, general malaise and premature aging of the human body. The methodology of theoretical substantiation of methods for detecting previously unknown sources of infrasound, improving the environmental, radiation and industrial safety of nuclear power plants with WWER-1200 is based on the use of digital acoustic models of primary circuit equipment responsible for operational safety developed under the guidance of K.N. Proskuryakov. The methodology of practical confirmation of the results of computational and theoretical forecasting of acoustic parameters of previously unknown infrasound sources is presented in the form of two stages: a) development of a methodology for verifying forecasting results and selection of power units No. 1, 2 of Novovoronezh NPP-2 in the form of objects; b) investigation of the conditions for the occurrence of vibro-infrasound resonances in the first circuit. The developed method for investigating infrasound sources has been verified at the WWER-1200 reactor plant. When discussing the results of the conducted research, previously unknown sources of infrasound were identified. Innovative methods of analysis and damping of infrasound sources have been developed and a patent for invention No. 2803181 «A method for preventing resonant interaction of vibrations of water-water power reactor equipment with acoustically standing waves and a device for its implementation» has been obtained. The errors of the chief designer of reactor installations with WWER in the regulations for the launch of new power units are noted; their negative consequences for the health of personnel and the condition of equipment responsible for environmental, radiation and industrial safety of nuclear power plants with WWER are indicated

Abstract

Background. The article describes the processing technology and the results of studying the morphology, elemental composition, X-ray phase analysis and microhardness of the surface of stainless steel samples subjected to preliminary air-abrasive treatment and subsequent laser pulse alloying in a two-component coating layer consisting of graphite paste and titanium dioxide (anatase) powder. The purpose of this work is to identify the most rational modes of laser pulsed alloying of stainless steel 12Cr18Ni10Ti with an alloying coating preapplied to the treated surface. Materials and methods. The prototypes were plates made of stainless chromium-nickel steel 12Cr18Ni10Ti. Experimental studies were carried out using an abrasive blasting apparatus, an ultrasonic bath, an automated installation for thermophysical coherent surface modification “LRS-50A”. Results. A mechanism for increasing the microhardness of the surface of prototypes made of stainless chromium-nickel steel has been established and experimentally confirmed, which consists in the diffusion of alloying elements of the coating, saturation of the surface layer of steel with them during reflow under laser exposure, which in turn leads to the formation of new phases. Conclusions. A technology has been developed for thin-layer modification of the surface of stainless chromium-nickel steel by laser pulsed alloying using a special coating. The results of the work can be used with high efficiency at engineering enterprises that develop and produce critical parts and mechanisms that operate under conditions of intense gas and hydroabrasive wear.

Abstract

We discovered uniaxial oriented centers in silicon carbide having unusual performance. Here we demonstrate that the family of silicon-vacancy related centers with $S= 3/2$ in rhombic 15R-SiC crystalline matrix possess unique characteristics such as ODMR contrast and optical spin alignment existing at temperatures up to 250$^\circ$C. Thus the concept of optically addressable silicon vacancy related centers with half integer ground spin state is extended to the wide class of SiC rhombic polytypes. The structure of these centers, which is a fundamental problem for quantum applications, has been established using high frequency ENDOR. It has been shown that a family of siliconvacancy related centers is a negatively charged silicon vacancy in the paramagnetic state with the spin $S= 3/2$, V$_\textrm{Si}^-$, perturbed by neutral carbon vacancy in non-paramagnetic state, V$_\textrm{C}^0$, having no covalent bond with the silicon vacancy and located adjacently to the silicon vacancy on the c crystal axis., Comment: 6 pages, 5 figures

Abstract

In this extended analysis using the ZEUS detector at HERA, the photoproduction of isolated photons together with a jet is measured for different ranges of the fractional photon energy, $x_\gamma^{\mathrm{meas}}$, contributing to the photon-jet final state. Cross sections are evaluated in the photon transverse-energy and pseudorapidity ranges $6 < E_T^{\gamma} < 15$ GeV and $-0.7 < \eta^{\gamma} < 0.9$, and for jet transverse-energy and pseudorapidity ranges $4 < E_T^{\rm jet} < 35$ GeV and $-1.5 < \eta^{\rm jet} < 1.8$, for an integrated luminosity of 374 $\mathrm{pb}^{-1}$. The kinematic observables studied comprise the transverse energy and pseudorapidity of the photon and the jet, the azimuthal difference between them, the fraction of proton energy taking part in the interaction, and the difference between the pseudorapidities of the photon and the jet. Abstract

The production of beauty and charm quarks in ep interactions has been studied with the ZEUS detector at HERA for exchanged four-momentum squared 5 < Q^2 < 1000 GeV^2 using an integrated luminosity of 354 pb^{-1}. The beauty and charm content in events with at least one jet have been extracted using the invariant mass of charged tracks associated with secondary vertices and the decay-length significance of these vertices. Differential cross sections as a function of Q^2, Bjorken x, jet transverse energy and pseudorapidity were measured and compared with next-to-leading-order QCD calculations. The beauty and charm contributions to the proton structure functions were extracted from the double-differential cross section as a function of x and Q^2. The running beauty-quark mass, m_b at the scale m_b, was determined from a QCD fit at next-to-leading order to HERA data for the first time and found to be 4.07 \pm 0.14 (fit} ^{+0.01}_{-0.07} (mod.) ^{+0.05}_{-0.00} (param.) ^{+0.08}_{-0.05} (theo) GeV., Comment: 63 pages, 14 figures, 20 tables. Abstract

The photoproduction of $D^{*\pm}$ mesons has been measured with the ZEUS detector at HERA at three different ep centre-of-mass energies, $\sqrt{s}$, of 318, 251 and 225 GeV. For each data set, $D^*$ mesons were required to have transverse momentum, $p_T^{D^*}$, and pseudorapidity, $\eta^{D^*}$, in the ranges $1.9 < p_T^{D^*} < 20$ GeV and $|\eta^{D^*}|<1.6$. The events were required to have a virtuality of the incoming photon, $Q^2$, of less than 1 GeV$^2$. The dependence on $\sqrt{s}$ was studied by normalising to the high-statistics measurement at $\sqrt{s} =318$ GeV. This led to the cancellation of a number of systematic effects both in data and theory. Abstract

The reduced cross sections for $e^{+}p$ deep inelastic scattering have been measured with the ZEUS detector at HERA at three different centre-of-mass energies, $318$, $251$ and $225$ GeV. The cross sections, measured double differentially in Bjorken $x$ and the virtuality, $Q^2$, were obtained in the region $0.13\ \leq\ y\ \leq\ 0.75$, where $y$ denotes the inelasticity and $5\ \leq\ Q^2\ \leq\ 110$ GeV$^2$. Abstract

In this paper questions of building models of information exchange systems with discrete and distributed delay and with delayed feedback by methods of the theory of linear functional differential equations are investigated. When solving the said equations, it is necessary to consider restrictions caused by the uncertainties in the system under modeling, such as the absence of the exact data on the parameters of the model elements, their natural spread and temporal variations, thus requiring the solution of an identification problem. The models with continuous aftereffect introduced in this work take a fuller account of reflected signal characteristics in closed space, which increases the reliability of modeling results in comparison with the known differential models. At the same time, there is a problem of finding functions that characterize the value distribution of the echo delay. In this work, these functions (kernels) are approximated by a number of exponents, which simplifies the equations and allows the assumption that the aftereffect can be concentrated on both final and infinite intervals. The echo components caused by closed-space resonances are modeled by transfer functions of the corresponding linear links. In numerical modeling, a single-channel model represented by a second-order resonance link and a pulse-shaped kernel described by a sum of two decreasing exponents is considered. The analysis of stability of the models of systems with delayed feedback is conducted by a frequency method. In the paper an approach to estimating the correlation and spectral functions of signals and noise components based on the parametric representation of the latter is considered. The paper also considers issues relating to the practical significance of the research results.

Abstract

The neutral current e+/-p cross section has been measured up to values of Bjorken x of approximately 1 with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of 187 inv. pb of e-p and 142 inv. pb of e+p collisions at sqrt(s) = 318GeV. Differential cross sections in x and Q2, the exchanged boson virtuality, are presented for Q2 geq 725GeV2. An improved reconstruction method and greatly increased amount of data allows a finer binning in the high-x region of the neutral current cross section and leads to a measurement with much improved precision compared to a similar earlier analysis. The measurements are compared to Standard Model expectations based on a variety of recent parton distribution functions., Comment: 39 pages, 9 figures

Abstract

The production of Z0 bosons in the reaction ep -> eZ0p*, where p* stands for a proton or a low-mass nucleon resonance, has been studied in ep collisions at HERA using the ZEUS detector. The analysis is based on a data sample collected between 1996 and 2007, amounting to 496 pb-1 of integrated luminosity. The Z0 was measured in the hadronic decay mode. The elasticity of the events was ensured by a cut on eta_max < 3.0, where eta_max is the maximum pseudorapidity of energy deposits in the calorimeter defined with respect to the proton beam direction. A signal was observed at the Z0 mass. The cross section of the reaction ep -> eZ0p* was measured to be sigma(ep -> eZ0p*) = 0.13 +/- 0.06 (stat.) +/- 0.01 (syst.) pb, in agreement with the Standard Model prediction of 0.16 pb. Abstract

Measurements of neutral current cross sections for deep inelastic scattering in e+p collisions at HERA with a longitudinally polarised positron beam are presented. The single-differential cross-sections d(sigma)/dQ2, d(sigma)/dx and d(sigma)/dy and the reduced cross-section were measured in the kinematic region Q2 > 185 GeV2 and y < 0.9, where Q2 is the four-momentum transfer squared, x the Bjorken scaling variable, and y the inelasticity of the interaction. The measurements were performed separately for positively and negatively polarised positron beams. The measurements are based on an integrated luminosity of 135.5 pb-1 collected with the ZEUS detector in 2006 and 2007 at a centre-of-mass energy of 318 GeV. The structure functions F3 and F3(gamma)Z were determined by combining the e+p results presented in this paper with previously published e-p neutral current results. The asymmetry parameter A+ is used to demonstrate the parity violation predicted in electroweak interactions. Abstract

Inclusive-jet cross sections have been measured in the reaction ep->e+jet+X for photon virtuality Q2 < 1 GeV2 and gamma-p centre-of-mass energies in the region 142 < W(gamma-p) < 293 GeV with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of 300 pb-1. Jets were identified using the kT, anti-kT or SIScone jet algorithms in the laboratory frame. Single-differential cross sections are presented as functions of the jet transverse energy, ETjet, and pseudorapidity, etajet, for jets with ETjet > 17 GeV and -1 < etajet < 2.5. In addition, measurements of double-differential inclusive-jet cross sections are presented as functions of ETjet in different regions of etajet. Next-to-leading-order QCD calculations give a good description of the measurements, except for jets with low ETjet and high etajet. The influence of non-perturbative effects not related to hadronisation was studied. Measurements of the ratios of cross sections using different jet algorithms are also presented; the measured ratios are well described by calculations including up to O(alphas2) terms. Values of alphas(Mz) were extracted from the measurements and the energy-scale dependence of the coupling was determined. The value of alphas(Mz) extracted from the measurements based on the kT jet algorithm is alphas(Mz) = 0.1206 +0.0023 -0.0022 (exp.) +0.0042 -0.0035 (th.); the results from the anti-kT and SIScone algorithms are compatible with this value and have a similar precision., Comment: 53 pages, 17 figures

Abstract

We report the realization of the optically induced inverse population of the ground-state spin sublevels of the silicon vacancies ($V_{\mathrm{Si}}$) in silicon carbide (SiC) at room temperature. The data show that the probed silicon vacancy spin ensemble can be prepared in a coherent superposition of the spin states. Rabi nutations persist for more than 80 $\mu$s. Two opposite schemes of the optical alignment of the populations between the ground-state spin sublevels of the silicon vacancy upon illumination with unpolarized light are realized in 4H- and 6H-SiC at room temperature. These altogether make the silicon vacancy in SiC a very favorable defect for spintronics, quantum information processing, and magnetometry., Comment: 4 pages, 3 pictures

Abstract

The exclusive electroproduction of two pions in the mass range 0.4 < M{\pi}{\pi} < 2.5 GeV has been studied with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of 82 pb-1. The analysis was carried out in the kinematic range of 2 < Q2 < 80 GeV2, 32 < W < 180 GeV and |t| < 0.6 GeV2, where Q2 is the photon virtuality, W is the photon-proton centre-of-mass energy and t is the squared four-momentum transfer at the proton vertex. The two-pion invariant-mass distribution is interpreted in terms of the pion electromagnetic form factor, |F(M{\pi}{\pi})|, assuming that the studied mass range includes the contributions of the {\rho}, {\rho}' and {\rho}" vector-meson states. The masses and widths of the resonances were obtained and the Q2 dependence of the cross-section ratios {\sigma}({\rho}' \rightarrow {\pi}{\pi})/{\sigma}({\rho}) and {\sigma}({\rho}" \rightarrow {\pi}{\pi})/{\sigma}({\rho}) was extracted. The pion form factor obtained in the present analysis is compared to that obtained in e+e- \rightarrow {\pi}+{\pi}-., Comment: 24 pages, including 11 figures

Abstract

A search for single-top production, $ep \rightarrow etX$, has been performed with the ZEUS detector at HERA using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $0.37\fbi$. No evidence for top production was found, consistent with the expectation from the Standard Model. Limits were computed for single-top production via flavour changing neutral current transitions. The result was combined with a previous ZEUS result yielding a total luminosity of 0.50fb-1. A 95% credibility level upper limit of 0.13 pb was obtained for the cross section at the centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=315\gev$., Comment: Included approximate NLO and NNLO corrections to the cross section calculation used to derive coupling limit for the top production mediated by gamma exchange. 30 pages, 5 figures, 3 tables. Abstract

Photoproduction of beauty and charm quarks in events with at least two jets has been measured with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of 133 $pb^{-1}$. The fractions of jets containing b and c quarks were extracted using the invariant mass of charged tracks associated with secondary vertices and the decay-length significance of these vertices. Differential cross sections as a function of jet transverse momentum, $p_{T}^{\text{jet}}$, and pseudorapidity, $\eta^{\text{jet}}$, were measured. The data are compared with previous measurements and are well described by next-to-leading-order QCD predictions., Comment: 35 pages, 9 figures, 3 tables

Abstract

The production of beauty quarks in ep interactions has been studied with the ZEUS detector at HERA for exchanged four-momentum squared Q^2 > 10 GeV^2, using an integrated luminosity of 363 pb^{-1}. The beauty events were identified using electrons from semileptonic b decays with a transverse momentum 0.9 < p_T^e < 8 GeV and pseudorapidity |eta^e| < 1.5. Cross sections for beauty production were measured and compared with next-to-leading-order QCD calculations. Abstract

Beauty production in deep inelastic scattering with events in which a muon and a jet are observed in the final state has been measured with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of 114 pb^-1. The fraction of events with beauty quarks in the data was determined using the distribution of the transverse momentum of the muon relative to the jet. The cross section for beauty production was measured in the kinematic range of photon virtuality, Q^2 > 2 Gev^2, and inelasticity, 0.05 < y < 0.7, with the requirement of a muon and a jet. Total and differential cross sections are presented and compared to QCD predictions. The beauty contribution to the structure function F_2 was extracted and is compared to theoretical predictions., Comment: 24 pages, 5 figures

Abstract

This article presents the experience of surgical management of pancreatic and colon metastases from kidney cancer, detected 10 years after nephrectomy. Atypical resection of the pancreas combined with right-sided hemicolectomy was performed. The postoperative period turned out uneventful. Histological examination showed that lesions of pancreas and colon were metastases from a clear renal cell carcinoma. Disease progression was noted 2 years after surgery. The patient received appropriate treatment and was alive for 14 years after surgery.

Abstract

Solutions for a multi-sensor catheter in high resolution manometry based on classical interrogation with wave separation of fiber optic sensors or their polyharmonic probing already exist. Measuring systems based on interrogating arrays of the same type of Bragg gratings by the method of interference with a frequency shift and spatial separation of obtaining information from each grating separately, although their spatial resolution is slightly lower than required, are proposed. The indicated type of solutions requires expensive tunable lasers or narrow-band filters, and frequency-shifted interference, including two-frequency, with a microwave photonic interrogation method, entails the construction of an extremely complex interferometric optoelectronic circuit with the need to ensure its stable operation. Supplementing the task with the requirement to simplify and reduce the cost of the system as much as possible by means of microwave photonic sensing methods and using an array of structured gratings or gratings with phase shift in the system, and, finally, addressable fiber Bragg gratings, which we are actively developing, we will get a complete statement of the problem of constructing a multi-sensor catheter for intestinal manometry. The results of these task solutions are presented in this article.

Abstract

In the modern development of high-resolution manometry, the catheter and its elements are used at various levels of examination and treatment of the patient, both in operative and long-term follow-up systems. Therefore, the approach to the catheter as an information-measuring system that solves the problem of reproducible measurements of the spectral characteristics of each sensor in low-sensor or multi-sensor topologies comes to the fore. Moreover, due to well-known advantages, the use of fiber-optic Bragg gratings in catheters also comes to the fore. The paper presents the results of a study of the optomechanics of narrow-band classical fiber-optic Bragg gratings with a large mode coupling coefficient and spectrally addressed information recorded in them by various methods by introducing two symmetrical -phase shifts into their structure. An analysis is made of the propagation of broadband laser radiation through spectrally addressable fiber-optic Bragg gratings in few-sensor applications. A theoretical justification is given of methods for measuring pressure and temperature, including to compensate for the effect of temperature in manometry. The technique of microwave photonic measurement conversion of pressure in the esophagus in the area of the upper and lower sphincters and the determination of its main methodological errors are given.

Abstract

The HERA electron--proton collider has collected 100 pb$^{-1}$ of data since its start-up in 1992, and recently moved into a high-luminosity operation mode, with upgraded detectors, aiming to increase the total integrated luminosity per experiment to more than 500 pb$^{-1}$. HERA has been a machine of excellence for the study of QCD and the structure of the proton. The Large Hadron Collider (LHC), which will collide protons with a centre-of-mass energy of 14 TeV, will be completed at CERN in 2007. The main mission of the LHC is to discover and study the mechanisms of electroweak symmetry breaking, possibly via the discovery of the Higgs particle, and search for new physics in the TeV energy scale, such as supersymmetry or extra dimensions. Besides these goals, the LHC will also make a substantial number of precision measurements and will offer a new regime to study the strong force via perturbative QCD processes and diffraction. For the full LHC physics programme a good understanding of QCD phenomena and the structure function of the proton is essential. Therefore, in March 2004, a one-year-long workshop started to study the implications of HERA on LHC physics. This included proposing new measurements to be made at HERA, extracting the maximum information from the available data, and developing/improving the theoretical and experimental tools.
