Objective: To evaluate the necessity of routine histopathological examination in benign anorectal surgeries and to explore the potential for a selective approach based on patient characteristics. Methods: Retrospective analysis of patients who underwent surgery for benign anorectal diseases between January 2013 and December 2023. Demographic data, surgical procedures, and histopathological findings were assessed. Results: Among 830 patients, 482 underwent histopathological examination. No malignancy was detected. However, human papilloma virus (HPV)-related lesions were diagnosed in 2.1% of patients. A retrospective design and limited patient population were identified as major limitations. Conclusion: Routine histopathological examination may be unnecessary for benign anorectal surgeries in patients without HPV-related risk factors. Further large-scale studies are required to determine the criteria for selective examination, optimizing resource usage in clinical practice. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Multicentric reticulohistiocytosis (MRH) is a rare systemic proliferative granulomatous disease of non-Langerhans cells. The aim of this study is to report a case of multicentric reticulohistiocytosis that is easily misdiagnosed in clinical practice. A 74-year-old man sought the Rheumatology office in December 2022 with a main complaint of arthralgia for six months, associated with morning stiffness, joint swelling, and upper and lower limb weakness. On physical examination, papules on the dorsal surface of the proximal interphalangeal joints, base of the nose, and lateral surface of the right hallux were observed. Hyperemia was also identified on the back, and edema of the proximal and distal interphalangeal joints, wrists and knees. Laboratory tests revealed ESR and ANA within normal limits. Tests were negative for Anti-Sm, Anti-RO, rheumatoid factor, Anti-CCP, HIV, and HCV. Chest CT-scan showed right axillary lymph node enlargement, measuring 2.7 cm, atheromatous aorta, and streaks with scattered atelectasis in the lower lobe, without other changes. On total abdominal ultrasound, prostate enlargement was detected. Immunohistochemistry of skin biopsy identified atypical acinar proliferation. Histopathology skin biopsy stained with hematoxylin-eosin (January 2023) showed a dense histiocytic infiltrate. Detail of the histiocytic component displayed "ground glass" eosinophilic cytoplasm. Immunohistochemistry was negative for S100 and CD34 and positive for CD68. Final diagnosis was MRH. The patient underwent treatment with drugs. In conclusion, clinical manifestations, including skin and joint changes, with signs and symptoms of rheumatic disorders (e.g. dermatomyositis and rheumatoid arthritis) similar to those of MRH are expected in rheumatology practice. Background: Acute appendicitis is the acute inflammation of the appendix vermiformis and is one of the leading emergency intra-abdominal surgeries. In the study; To investigate the effectiveness of preoperative USG and CT in the diagnosis of acute appendicitis. Materials and Methods: The records of 332 patients who underwent appendectomy between March 2018 and March 2023 were retrospectively examined. G ender, age, USG and CT r eports and pathology results of the patients were recorded. Sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive values of USG and CT in the diagnosis of acute appendicitis were calculated separately. Results: The pathology result was reported as acute appendicitis in 312 of the patients, and was evaluated as normal in 20 of them. The pathology result of 254 of 261 patients, whose CT results were evaluated as compatible with acute appendicitis, was reported as acute appendicitis. In 7 patients, it was found to be normal appendicitis. Of 28 patients whose CT results were incompatible with acute appendicitis, the pathology result was positive i n 18 and negative in 10. Pathology results of 96 patients w hose USG results were compatible with acute appendicitis; Acute appendicitis was found in 90 patients and normal appendix in 6 patients. Pathology results of 41 patients whose USG results were evaluated as negative; It was reported to be compatible with acute appendicitis in 36 cases and normal in 5 cases. Conclusions: In our study, both the sensitivity and specificity of CT were found to be superior to USG, consistent with the literature. This article discusses a study that compared the evaluation of tissue samples from patients who underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) by HPB-specific pathologists and general pathologists. The study found that HPB-specific pathologists had a higher number of lymph nodes dissected and a higher number of metastatic lymph nodes compared to general pathologists. Additionally, the HPB-specific pathologists had a higher rate of positive surgical margins. İntraoral Lipom: Bir Olgu Sunumu Amaç Lipomlar, fibröz doku tarafından lobüllere ayrılan, adipoz doku orijinli, çoğunlukla normal mukoza ile örtülü, asemptomatik, benign mezenşimal neoplazmlardır. Genellikle sebebi bilinmese de etyolojide ailesel yatkınlık, travma, alkol, radyasyon ve bazı kronik hastalıklar suçlanmaktadır. Erkeklerde kadınlara göre daha fazla saptanmıştır. Bu olgu sunumunda yanakta az rastlanan ve oldukça büyük boyutlara ulaşmış lipomun tedavisi sunulacaktır. Olgu Yirmi yedi yaşında kadın hasta, uzun süredir mevcut olan ve boyutları giderek artan sağ yanakta şişlik şikâyetiyle kliniğimize başvurdu. Yapılan muayenede sağ bukkal mukoza bölgesinde yaklaşık 2x2 cm boyutunda, yumuşak kıvamlı, hareketli ve düzgün sınırlı kitle tespit edildi. Lokal anestezi altında intraoral yaklaşımla kitle total olarak eksize edildi. Histopatolojik inceleme sonucu, lipom olarak gelen hastanın, 2 yıllık takibinde nüks görülmedi. Bulgular Lipomlar, kapsüler adipoz dokunun benign neoplazmları olup, genellikle subkutanöz dokularda görülseler de derin dokularda da görülebilirler. Maksillofasiyal bölgede nisbeten az rastlanırlar. En sık parotis bölgesinde görülürler, bunu yanak izler. Tanı amacıyla ince iğne aspirasyon biyopsisi, ultrason, BT ve manyetik rezonans görüntüleme yöntemleri kullanılmaktadır. Ayrıcı tanıda, fibroepitelyal polip, anjioma, dermoid kist, fibroma ve liposarkom düşünülmelidir. Temel tedavi şekli cerrahi eksizyon olan lipomlar, fonksiyonel veya kozmetik nedenlerle eksize edilebilirler ve total rezeksiyonu takiben genellikle rekürrens göstermezler. Sonuç Lipom benign bir tümör olup tüm vücutta yaygın görülmekle beraber ağız içi lipomlar, rutin diş muayeneleri sırasında fark edilebilen nadir bir antitedir. Etyolojisi net olarak bilinmemektedir. Kesin tanı ve tedavisi için cerrahi eksizyon uygundur. Bukkal bölgedeki lipomlar intraoral yolla güvenli bir şekilde total olarak eksize edilebilir. GİRİŞ: Bu çalışmanın amacı; kliniğimize çeşitli sebeplerle başvurmuş ve konik ışınlı bilgisayarlı tomografileri (KIBT) alınmış ve en az bir gömülü dişi bulunan 277 hastada gömülü dişler ile ilişkili patolojileri değerlendirmekti. GEREÇ VE YÖNTEMLER: Bu çalışmada 277 hastanın (kadın:133 (%48), erkek:144 (%52) yaş ortalaması: 33,48±14,9) KIBT görüntüleri retrospektif olarak incelendi ve 504 gömülü diş tespit edildi. Gömülü olarak tespit edilen dişler; kesiciler, kaninler, premolarlar ve molarlar olarak belirlendi. Gömülü dişlerle ilişkili patolojiler; kist-tümör, komşu dişte periodontal yıkım, rezorpsiyon ve çürük olarak sınıflandırıldı. İstatiksel analiz, SPSS v.22 ile tanımlayıcı istatistikler ve ki-kare testi kullanılarak yapıldı. BULGULAR: Gömülü diş görülme ortalaması 1,82±1,7 iken en az 1 en fazla 19 gömülü diş tespit edildi. Gömülü dişlerin dağılımı; %3.2 kesici dişler, %21.8 kanin dişler, %9.6 premolar dişler, %3.6 molar dişler ve %61.9 üçüncü molar dişlerdi. Gömülü dişler yaş gruplarına göre; en çok 21-30 yaş aralığında görülürken en az 51 ve üzeri yaşta görüldü. Toplam gömülü diş sayısı 504 iken patolojiyle ilişkili diş sayısı 201 ve ilişkili patoloji sayısı 218’di. Gömülü dişlerin %36.5’u patolojik bulgu gösterdi. Patoloji görülme sıklığının gömülü dişlere göre istatistiksel olarak farklılık gösterdiği tespit edildi (p=0,042). En çok patolojiyle ilişkisi olan diş 38 (%21.50), en az ilişkili olanlar 17,22,31 (%0.2) numaralı dişlerdi. Patolojilerden en sık görülen periodontal kemik yıkımı (%22.1), en az görülen komşu dişte çürüktü (%1.5). Gömülü dişlerin %2.8’inde periodontal kemik yıkımı ve kist-tümör, %0.6’sında komşu dişte rezorpsiyon ve kist-tümör birlikte görüldü. SONUÇ: Gömülü dişler sıklıkla patolojiye sebep olmaları nedeniyle, ağız içinde eksik diş durumunda gömülü kalma durumunun araştırılması ve gömülü diş veya dişlerin patolojiyle ilişkisinin takibi önem taşımaktadır. Background: he aim of this study was to evaluate the pathologies caused by mandibular impacted third molars in individuals living in the Şanlıurfa region. Materials and Methods: In this retrospective study conducted at Harran University Faculty of Dentistry between 2018 and 2020, panoramic radiographs of 904 patients (525 females, 379 males) were analyzed. The prevalence, impaction and position of third molars, conditions and pathologies related to these teeth were evaluated. Results: 1664 mandibular third molars of 904 patients were analyzed. When the distribution by gender is examined, 42.79% are men and 57.21% are women. In terms of mandibular third molar position, 60.34% of the teeth are vertical. In terms of mandibular third molar eruption level, 61.39% of the teeth are at level A. When we look at pathologies based on teeth, there is 16.81% caries. Conclusions: While third molars may remain without any symptoms for a long period of life, they may cause caries, cysts and bone loss in adjacent teeth. Tooth extraction may be recommended prophylactically to prevent third molar teeth from causing greater pathology in later ages. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Modern neuroscience has shown that relaxing images cause the brain to release high levels of serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin, which reduce anxiety, block cortisol and increase neuroplasticity. Modern medicine positions the human being as passive, helpless, in need of external help and in need of repair. However, far beyond this passive role, human beings should be seen as a being with the physical and spiritual power to repair themselves. The common point that all the studies examined in this study converge on is that imagery, which is an intrinsic ability, can be used as a low-cost, effective mental treatment tool. In some studies, imagery was defined as a more effective method than pharmacological interventions. Imagery is used in a wide range of diseases from psychotic disorders to mental disorders such as cancer, asthma, migraine, hypertension, immune system diseases, anxiety and depression. From a psychoanalytic perspective, the imagery technique, which is thought to function as impulse satisfaction and a defense mechanism, is also widely used in schools such as mindfulness-oriented therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical therapy. This review first discusses imagery and its use in history, and then describes current research on imagery applications on different diseases. In this study, the clinical course, pathological findings, and potential risk factors of a systemic aspergillosis outbreak caused by Aspergillus fumigatus in racing pigeons (Columba livia domestica) were investigated. The disease was reported during the period of intense exercise in a 120 head racing pigeon flock. The exercise period coincided with the high environmental temperatures. Affected birds displayed symptoms, such as weakness, fatigue, depression, inability to stand, rapidly developing weakness, incoordination, convulsions, and death. Necropsy revealed varying sized, prominent nodular or plaque-like lesions on the lungs, air sacs, and visceral peritoneum. Single or multiple caseonecrotic fungal granulomas invading the existing and/or adjacent tissues were seen histopathologically. Malacic lesions associated with fungal elements were observed in the central nervous system. Histopathologic and cytological findings revealed the presence of characteristic A. fumigatus elements and lesions. Considering the fact that the environmental temperatures were above the seasonal norms during the emergence of the disease as well as subjugation of pigeons to intense exercise for race preparations, A. fumigatus colonization and its spread in racing pigeons was seen likely due to the combined effects of these risk factors. Objective: The primary aim of our study was to evaluate the underlying placental pathologies of placenta previa (PP). Materials and Methods: Over two years data of patients diagnosed to be PP in a tertiary center were obtained retrospectively. Routinely, the placentas of patients diagnosed to be PP were sent for pathological examination. Clinicodemographic data of the patients were recorded. The placental pathological findings were classified and evaluated in 5 main groups: maternal vascular lesions, fetal vascular lesions, inflammatory situations, umbilical cord findings, and normal. Additionally, complete blood count results at admission time for hospitalization and the outcomes of the neonates were recorded. Results: Thirty-two patients diagnosed to be PP were included in the study. The median age was 34 (22-42), and the median gravidity number was 3 (1-6). Maternal vascular lesions were observed in nearly half of the PP patients as a pathological finding (43.75 %). Inflammation was observed in 10 patients (31.25 %), umbilical cord findings in 8 patients (25.0 %), and fetal vascular lesions in 2 patients (6.25 %), respectively. 3 patients were reported to have normal placentas. In addition, the median neutrophile, neutrophile lymphocyte ratio, and white blood count were found to be high at admission time for hospitalization Conclusion: Maternal vascular lesions and inflammation were the most common detected placental pathological reports in PP patients. However, studies including the placentas of uncomplicated pregnancies will shed light on the literature to distinguish the pathological condition from the physiological condition. Objective: The aim of the study is to raise awareness about clinical features, histopathological and radiological analyzes and treatment details of this rare disease. Methods: A total of 55 Langerhans cell histiocytosis patients, diagnosed between the year 2006 and October 2020 in our department were included in the study. The patients were evaluated in terms of age, gender, tumor localization, risk groups, treatment modalities, recurrence, and outcome of the disease. Results: Twenty-three out of 55 patients were children and 32 were adults. The ages of the patients were between 7 months and 72 years. Thirty-seven of the cases were male and 18 were female. The most common clinical complaint in both groups was pain and swelling. The duration between the onset of the patient complaints and admission to the hospital varies between 7 days-12 months in children, and 10 days-23 years in adults. Forty-three of the cases had single organ involvement and 12 had multiorgan involvement. The most frequently affected organ in both groups was bone. Forty of the 55 patients had follow-up data and the treatment modalities are as follows: Nine patients radiotherapy, 8 patients chemotherapy+steroid, 7 patients chemotherapy, 2 patients chemotherapy+radiotherapy+steroid, 1 patient steroid, 2 patients chemotherapy+radiotherapy. Eleven patients were followed up without additional treatment after surgery. Median follow-up from the time of biopsy was 45.9 months in children and 41.9 months in adults. Conclusions: As a result, diagnosis requires a high degree of suspicion and final diagnosis is based on the histological examination of the lesions and biopsies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background and Design: Morphea is also known as localized scleroderma. It is a rare autoimmune skin disease characterized by inflammation and sclerosis in the dermis and sometimes in the subcutaneous tissue. Laboratory findings, imaging, and histopathological features facilitate diagnosis and provide sufficient information about disease severity. Clinicopathologic correlations and severity factors in morphea are poorly described. Thus, this study aimed to review the clinical and histopathological features and treatment responses of patients with morphea and compare these features with disease activity and damage scores to identify new tools for assessing disease severity other than clinical findings. The applicability of the Localized Scleroderma Cutaneous Assessment Tool in clinical practice was also evaluated. Materials and Methods: This study reviewed data of 41 patients who had a histopathologically confirmed diagnosis of morphea and had been followed up regularly for at least 6 months. The modified Localized Scleroderma Skin Severity Index (mLoSSI), Localized Scleroderma Skin Damage Index (LoSDI), Physician Global Assessment-Activity (PGA-A), and Physician Global Assessment-Damage (PGA-D) were calculated at baseline and final treatment. Results: Among morphea subtypes, superficial morphea had significantly more sclerosis in the papillary dermis and plaque-type morphea had significantly more sclerosis in the reticular dermis (p<0.05). When positive antinuclear antibody (ANA) and high levels of thyroid autoantibodies were compared with mLoSSI, LoSDI, PGA-A, and PGA-D scores at baseline, no significant correlation was found. Comparison of the subgroups according to the initial mLoSSI and LoSDI scores revealed no significant histopathological differences between the groups. Conclusion: Although the mLoSSI, LoSDI, PGA-A, and PGA-D scores can be successfully used for the follow-up and treatment of patients with morphea, no correlation was found between positive ANA, high levels of thyroid autoantibodies, and histopathological features. Objective: In December 2019, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2, which emerged in Wuhan, China, spread rapidly and created a pandemic. Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) can affect different organ systems, including the skin. Recently, COVID-19 cases with skin lesions of different clinicopathological features have been published. This study aimed to present the histopathological features of 19 COVID-19 cases with cutaneous findings and discuss them in light of the literature. Methods: Skin biopsy specimens of 19 patients with skin rashes associated with COVID-19 were evaluated histopathologically and clinically. Results: Clinical manifestations of rashes developed in eight female, seven male, and four pediatric patients with COVID-19. Urticaria/urticarial vasculitis (n=7), maculopapular eruption (n=7), panniculitis (n=2), purpuric eruptions (n=2), and livedoid-like lesions were noted. Histopathologically, besides the inflammatory findings, the most striking feature was that the vessels were more or less affected in almost all cases. Conclusions: Cutaneous lesions associated with COVID-19 are increasingly being reported. The first evaluation according to the morphological features of the oral mucosal lesion gives us important information in terms of diagnosis and follow-up, however, the accurate diagnosis can be made after histopathological examination. In this study, the histopathological diagnoses of patients who underwent biopsy for oral mucosal lesions were evaluated. Material and Methods: The histopathological results of patients who underwent oral mucosal biopsies between 2009 and 2016 were evaluated according to the frequency of occurrence, localization, age and gender distribution of the diagnoses. Lesions were also grouped according to their characteristics of being benign non-neoplastic, benign neoplastic, premalignant, and malignant, and data were analyzed within groups. Results: Of the 340 patients, 193 (56.8%) were female and 147 (43.2%) were male. When the histopathological diagnoses were evaluated according to the groups, 177 (52.1%) patients had benign non-neoplastic, 126 (37.1%) patients had benign neoplastic, 14 (4.1%) patients had premalignant, and 23 (6.8%) patients had malignant lesions. Most of the malignant lesions were squamous cell carcinoma. The mean age of premalignant and malignant lesions was found to be significantly higher than the mean age of patients with benign lesions (p<0.001). Conclusion: Most of oral mucosal lesions are benign. Although the incidence of premalignant and malignant lesions increases with age, it should be kept in mind that they can also be seen in young patients. Introduction: Melanoma is a cancer arising from the malignant transformation of melanocytes. It is mostly seen in the skin, eyes, mucosal membranes, and meninges. Melanoma is one of the fastest rising of all cancers in the world.Methods: We retrospectively examined the medical records of adult patients who were diagnosed with melanoma between January 2005 and December 2013 according to the Hospital-Based Cancer Registry (HBCR) of Hacettepe University Oncology Hospital.Results: A total of 338 patients [193 (57.1%) men and 145 (42.9%) women] were included in the study. The male to female ratio was 1.3/1. The mean age of patients was 55.2±15.2 years (minimum-maximum: 16-87 years). The rate of male patients was higher in patients with cutaneous and uveal melanoma (respectively, 56.8% and 58.6%), whereas the rate of female patients was higher in patients with mucosal melanoma (female: 55.6% and male: 44.4%; respectively, p=0.746 and p=0.518). The median follow-up time was estimated to be 27.7 months (1-103 months). During follow-up period, 127 (37.6%) patients died, and 16 (4.7%) patients were lost to follow-up. The median overall survival time was 76.3 months. The 5-year survival rate was 53%. When all patients were evaluated according to melanoma subtypes, patients with melanoma of unknown primary origin had the lowest median survival time (6.4 months).Conclusions: It is necessary to increase the awareness of people about melanoma and to make physicians more sensitive about skin examination in order to detect cutaneous melanomas in the early stages.

A 20-day-old, Simmental male calf showed a subcutan mass locating left side of chin, buccal and neck regions. The mass covering the 70% of left side of the face consisted of cystic structures under the skin. It was surgically excised and no recurrence occurred three months after the excision. The cut surfaces of mass were measured by 20Ã--15Ã--8 cm in size. Histologically, the mass was diagnosed as cavernous lymphangioma which composed of thin-walled cystically dilated spaces which were lined with one or rarely more layers of flat endothelial cells. Mitotic figures were not present. The channels did not contain red blood cells in contrast to, endothelial cells lining adjacent blood vessels. The endothelial cells of cystic dilated spaces gave positive cytoplasmic immunoreaction forpodoplanin. In conclusion, this report presents clinical, pathological, immunohistochemical features and surgical treatment of cervicofacial lymphangioma in a calf. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı Kırşehir popülasyonunda örneklenen periferik sinir kılıfı tümörleri (PSKT)’nin epidemiyolojik verilerini tanımlamaktır. Gereç ve yöntemler: Hastanemizde Ocak 2010-Mayıs 2018 tarihleri arasında histopatolojik olarak periferik sinir kılıfı tümörü tanısı alan 76 olgunun verileri geriye dönük analiz edildi. Klinik ve histopatolojik özellikleri incelendi. Bulgular: Serimizde yer alan 76 olgunun %52.6 (n:40)’sı nörofibrom (NF), %35.6 (n:27)’sı Schwannom, %9.2 (n:7)’si Nörom, %2.6 (n:2)’sı Granüler hücreli tümördü. Malign tanılı olgu saptanmadı. Ortalama yaş NFda 49.1, Schwannomda 42.3, Nöromda 36.1, Granüler hücreli tümörde 50.5’di. Hastaların yaşları 16-78 yılları arasında değişmekte olup ortalaması 45.5 idi. Olguların 47’si erkek, 29’u kadındı. Tümörlerin hepsi tam olarak çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştı. NFların yaklaşık yarısı baş-boyun dışı yerleşimli olup, 16 olgu baş-boyun yerleşimli, 5’inde lokalizasyon belirtilmemişti. Schwannomların yaklaşık %78’i baş-boyun dışı, geri kalan 4 olgu; skalp, boyun, dil, antrakoanal bölgedeydi, 2’sinde lokalizasyon belirtilmemişti. Nöromların 2’si el, 2’si ayak (2 Morton nöromu), 1’i dudak, 1’i çene, 1’i frontal yerleşimliydi. Granüler hücreli tümörler özefagus ve kol yerleşimliydi. Eksize edilen kitlelerde nüks izlenmedi. En sık histolojik tip NFdu. Tüm tümör gruplarında erkek olguların oranı-nörofibromda daha fazla olmak üzere-daha fazlaydı. Tümörler en sık orta yaş grubunda, 40-50 yaş arasında dağılım gösteriyordu. Lokalizasyon olarak tümörlerin tamamında baş-boyun dışı yerleşim daha sıktı (total:%60.6); Schwannom tanılı olguların büyük kısmı; NF olgularının ise yaklaşık yarısı baş-boyun dışı yerleşimliydi. Sonuç: PSKT'leri, genellikle benign, yavaş büyüyen kitleler halinde bulunurlar, ancak nadir yerleşimli bölgelerde yanlış teşhise ve suboptimal cerrahi tedaviye yol açabilir. Preoperatif planlama, dikkatli bir cerrahi eksizyon ve histopatolojik değerlendirme tümör nüksünü önlemek ve postoperatif fonksiyonel sonuçları iyileştirmek için gereklidir.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between the clinical course of these tumors by emphasizing the epidemiological data as well as the pathological features of different myxofibrosarcoma cases. Materials and Methods: 22 cases of myxofibrosarcoma were included in the single center study. Age, gender, tumor location, size, histopathological features as well as treatment modalities and clinical follow-up of the cases were also evaluated. Additional immunohistochemical studies were applied for the differential diagnosis in pathological evaluation. Results: The mean age of the patients was 54 years old and there is no sex predilection. The extremities are the most common location. Deep located myxofibrosarcoma were highly aggressive unlike superficial counterparts. The grade given as a result of pathological examination is closely related to the clinical course. Since the mean recurrence period is 16 months, long term follow up is required. Recurrence is present in all metastatic cases. Death from the disease occurred only in those with a higher grade. Conclusion: Myxofibrosarcomas are rarely seen but diagnostically challenging. Accurate diagnosis is essential to differentiate myxofibrosarcoma from other pleomorphic sarcomas, and to manage the treatment of patients since it may mimic even reactive lesions by histopathologically. Superficial and low grade myxofibrosarcoma of present study showed excellent prognosis and it has been presented as a contribution to the literature that these patients may have a good prognosis with correct diagnosis and treatment.
