Aim. The aim of this cross-sectional retrospective study was to study the effect of SARS-CoV-2 S1/S2 infection on population lipid parameters, which are leading risk factors for the development and progression of atherosclerosis, which can be significantly distorted in systemic inflammation and, in particular, during respiratory viral infections.Material and methods. We analyzed anonymized results of one-time, one-year studies of complete lipid profiles and related laboratory parameters performed in the Helix Laboratory Service from February 1, 2015 to December 30, 2020 in 238541 males and 384437 females aged from 22 to 83 years in 334 populated areas of the European Russia using Roche Cobas C502, C702 (Roche Diagnostics GmbH, Mannheim, Germany), LIAISON XL (DiaSorin S.p.A, Italy) analyzers.Statistical analysis included methods of descriptive statistics, distribution analysis, sample comparisons, and search for dependencies.Results. A dramatic change in the magnitude and nature of seasonal population fluctuations in low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) during the COVID-19 spread has been identified.COVID-19 differentially affects the relationship between high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) and atherogenic and antiatherogenic lipoproteins. Introduction. Morbidity and mortality of COVID-19 actualizes the identification of groups with the greatest risk of primary and re-infection, persons in need of priority vaccination or revaccination.Objective. To study the factors affecting the content of IgG antibodies to the S-protein SARS-CoV-2 in convalescents after suffering COVID-19 for 6 months.Materials and methods. The study of the Military Medical Academy and the Helix Laboratory Service was carried out from 06/01/2020 to 08/01/2021 on the basis of the Military Medical Academy and the Helix centers. The study included 1421 people – both sexes from 18 to 70 years old. 1205 with asymptomatic and mild disease (outpatient group). 216 with moderate or severe form (inpatient group). The outpatient group underwent a quantitative determination of IgG to the spike (S) protein SARS-CoV-2 by immunochemiluminescence analysis at 30, 45, 60, 90, 180 days from diagnosis. The diagnosis was verified by a positive RT-PCR result. The inpatient group underwent an identical study on the 1st, 14th, 45th, 60th, 90th and 180th days from the moment of admission to the hospital. The diagnosis was verified in the same way.Results. In convalescents, post-infectious immunity is formed from 30 days. Older age was associated with a more pronounced production of IgG to the S-protein SARS-CoV-2, mainly in older women. Moderate and severe course is characterized by higher concentrations of IgG to the SARS-CoV-2 S protein. A high level of IgG to the S-protein SARS-CoV-2 persists for up to 90 days, with a subsequent decrease by 180 days. Body weight, days of oxygen therapy, hyperthermia, the volume of lung tissue lesions and the level of C-reactive protein correlate with the concentration of IgG to the S-protein SARS-CoV-2. The use of glucocorticoids (GCS) is characterized by the presence of a higher concentration of IgG to the S-protein SARS-CoV-2 up to 6 months. There is a dose-dependent effect of using GCS.Conclusion. The formation and maintenance of the level of neutralizing antibodies for 6 months depends on the severity of the disease, the gender and age of the patients, and the fact of using GCS. This must be taken into account when carrying out therapeutic and preventive measures, planning vaccination.

Aim. To analyze the results of measurements of the blood lipid spectrum of urban residents of the European part of the Russian Federation.Material and methods. The results of single assessment of lipid profiles in 22,436 males and 35,100 females at the age from 13 to 94 years in 347 cities and towns of the European part of the Russian Federation were analyzed. Lipid assays were performed by the Laboratory Service «HELIX» from 28 Jan 2015 to 19 Mar 2016.Statistical methods included descriptive statistics, the analysis of distributions of sample comparisons and the search of dependencies.Results. Results of 56,235 measurements of total cholesterol (TC), 22,641 – triglycerides (TG), 21,032 – high density lipoproteins cholesterol (HDL-C) and 22,441 – low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were analyzed. TC above 5.2 mmol/l was identified in 55.78% samples; the proportion of people with LDL-C level above 3.0 mmol/l was 62.95%. The level of TC was the highest at the age of 43 to 62 years in both men and women, while the peak in the increase in TC in men was approximately 10 years earlier, than in women. In patients of older age groups, TC levels decreased and reached minimum values in men and women of senile age and long-livers. Low level of HDL-C was observed in 24.46% of the total number of samples in men and in 17.68% – in women. The monotonous increase in the average levels of HDL-C was revealed in men with aging. In women the HDL-C levels increased sharply from a minimum at the age of 13 years to a maximum at the age of 25 years with a slight monotonous decrease in the following age periods. However, even in the age older than 83 years levels of HDL-C remained high (1.49 mmol/l in average). The level of TG showed significant inter-age fluctuations, especially in men. The levels of TG above 1.7 mmol/l were recorded in 30.07% of all cases.Conclusion. Two-factor analysis of variance for all lipid parameters revealed a high statistical significance of gender and age.
