We explore how private synthetic text can be generated by suitably prompting a large language model (LLM). This addresses a challenge for organizations like hospitals, which hold sensitive text data like patient medical records, and wish to share it in order to train machine learning models for medical tasks, while preserving patient privacy. Methods that rely on training or finetuning a model may be out of reach, either due to API limits of third-party LLMs, or due to ethical and legal prohibitions on sharing the private data with the LLM itself. We propose Differentially Private Keyphrase Prompt Seeding (DP-KPS), a method that generates a private synthetic text corpus from a sensitive input corpus, by accessing an LLM only through privatized prompts. It is based on seeding the prompts with private samples from a distribution over phrase embeddings, thus capturing the input corpus while achieving requisite output diversity and maintaining differential privacy. We evaluate DP-KPS on downstream ML text classification tasks, and show that the corpora it generates preserve much of the predictive power of the original ones. Our findings offer hope that institutions can reap ML insights by privately sharing data with simple prompts and little compute.

Quantitative angiography (QA) in two dimensions has been instrumental in assessing neurovascular contrast flow patterns, aiding disease severity and treatment outcome evaluations. However, QA requires high spatio-temporal resolution, restricting its use to digital subtraction angiography (DSA), and is prone to errors in quantification of highly 3D flow patterns. This study examines whether 3D QA information can be recovered by reconstructing four-dimensional (4D) angiography using data from standard clinical imaging protocols. Patient-specific internal carotid aneurysm models were used to generate high-fidelity computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations of contrast flow. The resulting 4D angiograms were used to simulate biplane DSA under clinical imaging protocols. 4D angiography was reconstructed from two views using back-projection constrained by an a priori 3D geometry. Quantitative angiographic parametric imaging (API) metrics obtained from the CFD-based 4D angiography and reconstructed 4D angiography were compared using mean square error (MSE) and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE). The reconstructed 4D datasets effectively captured 3D flow dynamics, achieving an average MSE of 0.007 across models and flow conditions. API metrics such as PH and AUC closely matched the CFD ground truth, with temporal metrics showing some variability in regions with overlapping projections. These results demonstrate the potential to recover 3D QA information using simulated 4D angiography constrained by standard clinical imaging parameters. Automatic monitoring of tree plantations plays a crucial role in agriculture. Flawless monitoring of tree health helps farmers make informed decisions regarding their management by taking appropriate action. Use of drone images for automatic plantation monitoring can enhance the accuracy of the monitoring process, while still being affordable to small farmers in developing countries such as India. Small, low cost drones equipped with an RGB camera can capture high-resolution images of agricultural fields, allowing for detailed analysis of the well-being of the plantations. Existing methods of automated plantation monitoring are mostly based on satellite images, which are difficult to get for the farmers. We propose an automated system for plantation health monitoring using drone images, which are becoming easier to get for the farmers. We propose a dataset of images of trees with three categories: ``Good health", ``Stunted", and ``Dead". We annotate the dataset using CVAT annotation tool, for use in research purposes. We experiment with different well-known CNN models to observe their performance on the proposed dataset. The initial low accuracy levels show the complexity of the proposed dataset. Further, our study revealed that, depth-wise convolution operation embedded in a deep CNN model, can enhance the performance of the model on drone dataset. Further, we apply state-of-the-art object detection models to identify individual trees to better monitor them automatically.

Precise characterization of stroke lesions from MRI data has immense value in prognosticating clinical and cognitive outcomes following a stroke. Manual stroke lesion segmentation is time-consuming and requires the expertise of neurologists and neuroradiologists. Often, lesions are grossly characterized for their location and overall extent using bounding boxes without specific delineation of their boundaries. While such characterization provides some clinical value, to develop a precise mechanistic understanding of the impact of lesions on post-stroke vascular contributions to cognitive impairments and dementia (VCID), the stroke lesions need to be fully segmented with accurate boundaries. This work introduces the Multi-Stage Cross-Scale Attention (MSCSA) mechanism, applied to the U-Net family, to improve the mapping between brain structural features and lesions of varying sizes. Using the Anatomical Tracings of Lesions After Stroke (ATLAS) v2.0 dataset, MSCSA outperforms all baseline methods in both Dice and F1 scores on a subset focusing on small lesions, while maintaining competitive performance across the entire dataset. Notably, the ensemble strategy incorporating MSCSA achieves the highest scores for Dice and F1 on both the full dataset and the small lesion subset. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of MSCSA in segmenting small lesions and highlight its robustness across different training schemes for large stroke lesions. The treatment of intracranial aneurysms (IA) relies on angiography guidance using biplane views. However, accurate flow estimation and device sizing for treatment are often compromised by vessel overlap and foreshortening, which can obscure critical details. This study introduces an epipolar reconstruction approach to enhance 3D rendering of the internal carotid artery (ICA) and aneurysm dome using routinely acquired biplane angiographic data. Our method aims to improve procedural guidance by overcoming the limitations of traditional two-dimensional imaging techniques. This study employed three 3D geometries of ICA aneurysms to simulate virtual angiograms. These angiograms were generated using a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) solver, followed by the simulation of biplane angiography using a cone-beam geometry. Self-calibration was accomplished by matching contrast media position as a function of time between biplane views. Feature-matching was used to triangulate and reconstruct vascular structures in 3D. The projection data was utilized to refine the 3D estimation, including elimination of erroneous structures and ellipse-fitting. The accuracy of the reconstructions was evaluated using the Dice-Sorensen coefficient, comparing the 3D reconstructions to the original models. The proposed epipolar reconstruction method generalized well across the three tested aneurysm models, with respective Dice-Sorensen coefficients of 0.745, 0.759, and 0.654. Errors were primarily due to partial vessel overlap. The average reconstruction time for all three volumes was approximately 10 seconds. The proposed epipolar reconstruction method enhanced 3D visualization, addressing challenges such as projection-induced vessel foreshortening. With rapid digitization and digitalization, drawing a fine line between the digital and the physical world has become nearly impossible. It has become essential more than ever to integrate all spheres of life into a single Digital Thread to address pressing challenges of modern society: accessible and inclusive healthcare in terms of equality and equity. Techno-social advancements and mutual acceptance have enabled the infusion of digital models to simulate social settings with minimum resource utilization to make effective decisions. However, a significant gap exists in feeding back the models with appropriate real-time changes. In other words, active behavioral modeling of modern society is lacking, influencing community healthcare as a whole. By creating virtual replicas of (physical) behavioral systems, digital twins can enable real-time monitoring, simulation, and optimization of urban dynamics. This paper explores the potential of digital twins to promote inclusive healthcare for evolving smart cities. We argue that digital twins can be used to: Identify and address disparities in access to healthcare services, Facilitate community participation, Simulate the impact of urban policies and interventions on different groups of people, and Aid policy-making bodies for better access to healthcare. This paper proposes several ways to use digital twins to stitch the actual and virtual societies. Several discussed concepts within this framework envision an active, integrated, and synchronized community aware of data privacy and security. In this work, we consider a group of n agents which interact with each other in a cooperative framework. A Laplacian-based model is proposed to govern the evolution of opinions in the group when the agents are subjected to external biases like agents' traits, news, etc. The objective of the paper is to design a control input which leads to any desired opinion clustering even in the presence of external bias factors. Further, we also determine the conditions which ensure the reachability to any arbitrary opinion states. Note that all of these results hold for any kind of graph structure. Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), typically due to intracranial aneurysms, demands precise imaging for effective treatment. Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA), despite being the gold standard, broadly visualizes cerebral blood flow, potentially masking key details in areas. This study introduces an approach integrating a 3D vascular atlas with 2D DSA images to allow targeted quantitative analysis in these crucial regions, thus enhancing diagnostic accuracy during interventions. Initially, DSA data was examined to ascertain the injection site. Following this, the appropriate viewing angle was determined to align accurately with the 3D vascular atlas. Utilizing this atlas, regions corresponding to the areas indicated as perfused were selected. Concurrently, a mask representing the perfused areas was created from the DSA sequence. This mask facilitated the initial coarse alignment of the projected 3D atlas to the DSA perfused territory deformable registration techniques, ensuring a precise overlay with the DSAs perfused territories. The performance of each overlay was measured using the Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM). The coregistration process revealed that deformable registrations was essential to achieve precise overlays of the 3D atlas projections with the 2D DSA perfused areas. This approach enabled the extraction of targeted quantitative angiography parameters, essential for detailed vascular assessment in subarachnoid hemorrhage cases. The integration of 3D atlas registration with 2D DSA projections facilitates a more precise and targeted diagnostic process for SAH during critical interventions. This study evaluates a multimodal machine learning framework for predicting treatment outcomes in intracranial aneurysms (IAs). Combining angiographic parametric imaging (API), patient biomarkers, and disease morphology, the framework aims to enhance prognostic accuracy. Data from 340 patients were analyzed, with separate deep neural networks processing quantitative and categorical data. These networks' pre decision layers were concatenated and inputted into a final predictive network. Various data augmentation strategies, including Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique for Nominal and Continuous data (SMOTE NC), addressed dataset imbalances. Performance metrics, evaluated through Monte Carlo cross validation, showed significant improvements with augmentation, particularly in intermediate fusion models. In intracranial aneurysm (IA) treatment, digital subtraction angiography (DSA) monitors device-induced hemodynamic changes. Quantitative angiography (QA) provides more precise assessments but is limited by hand-injection variability. This study evaluates correction methods using in vitro phantoms that mimic diverse aneurysm morphologies and locations, addressing the 2D and temporal limitations of DSA. We used a patient-specific phantom to replicate three distinct IA morphologies at various Circle of Willis points: the middle cerebral artery (MCA), anterior communicating artery (ACA), and the internal carotid artery (ICA), each varying in size and shape. The diameters of the IA at MCA, ACA and ICA are 10.1, 10 and 7 millimeters, respectively. QA parameters for both non-stenosed and stenosed conditions were measured with 5ml and 10ml boluses over various injection durations to generate time density curves (TDCs). To address the variability in injection, several singular value decomposition (SVD) variants, standard SVD (sSVD) with Tikhonov regularization, block-circulant SVD (bSVD), and oscillation index SVD (oSVD) were applied. These methods enabled the extraction of IA impulse response function (IRF), peak height (PHIRF), area under the curve (AUCIRF), and mean transit time (MTT). We evaluated the robustness of bias-reducing methods by observing the invariance of these parameters with respect to the injection conditions, and the location and size of the aneurysm. This study leverages convolutional neural networks to enhance the temporal resolution of 3D angiography in intracranial aneurysms focusing on the reconstruction of volumetric contrast data from sparse and limited projections. Three patient-specific IA geometries were segmented and converted into stereolithography files to facilitate computational fluid dynamics simulations. These simulations first modeled blood flow under steady conditions with varying inlet velocities: 0.25 m/s, 0.35 m/s, and 0.45 m/s. Subsequently, 3D angiograms were simulated by labeling inlet particles to represent contrast bolus injections over durations of 0.5s, 1.0s, 1.5s, and 2.0s. The angiographic simulations were then used within a simulated cone beam C arm CT system to generate in-silico rotational DSAs, capturing projections every 10 ms over a 220-degree arc at 27 frames per second. From these simulations, both fully sampled (108 projections) and truncated projection datasets were generated the latter using a maximum of 49 projections. High fidelity volumetric images were reconstructed using a Parker weighted Feldkamp Davis Kress algorithm. A modified U Net CNN was subsequently trained on these datasets to reconstruct 3D angiographic volumes from the truncated projections. The network incorporated multiple convolutional layers with ReLU activations and Max pooling, complemented by upsampling and concatenation to preserve spatial detail. Model performance was evaluated using mean squared error (MSE). Evaluating our U net model across the test set yielded a MSE of 0.0001, indicating good agreement with ground truth reconstructions and demonstrating acceptable capabilities in capturing relevant transient angiographic features. This study confirms the feasibility of using CNNs for reconstructing 3D angiographic images from truncated projections.

White matter alterations are increasingly implicated in neurological diseases and their progression. International-scale studies use diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DW-MRI) to qualitatively identify changes in white matter microstructure and connectivity. Yet, quantitative analysis of DW-MRI data is hindered by inconsistencies stemming from varying acquisition protocols. There is a pressing need to harmonize the preprocessing of DW-MRI datasets to ensure the derivation of robust quantitative diffusion metrics across acquisitions. In the MICCAI-CDMRI 2023 QuantConn challenge, participants were provided raw data from the same individuals collected on the same scanner but with two different acquisitions and tasked with preprocessing the DW-MRI to minimize acquisition differences while retaining biological variation. Submissions are evaluated on the reproducibility and comparability of cross-acquisition bundle-wise microstructure measures, bundle shape features, and connectomics. The key innovations of the QuantConn challenge are that (1) we assess bundles and tractography in the context of harmonization for the first time, (2) we assess connectomics in the context of harmonization for the first time, and (3) we have 10x additional subjects over prior harmonization challenge, MUSHAC and 100x over SuperMUDI. We find that bundle surface area, fractional anisotropy, connectome assortativity, betweenness centrality, edge count, modularity, nodal strength, and participation coefficient measures are most biased by acquisition and that machine learning voxel-wise correction, RISH mapping, and NeSH methods effectively reduce these biases. This study aims to mitigate these biases and enhance QA analysis by applying a path-length correction (PLC) correction, followed by singular value decomposition (SVD)-based deconvolution, to angiograms obtained through both in-silico and in-vitro methods. We utilized DSA data from in-silico and in-vitro patient-specific intracranial aneurysm models. To remove projection bias, PLC for various views were developed by co-registering the pre-existing 3D vascular geometry mask with the DSA projections, followed by ray tracing to determine paths across 3D vessel structures. These maps were used to normalize the logarithmic angiographic images, correcting for projection-induced foreshortening across different angles. Subsequently, we focused on eliminating injection bias by analyzing the corrected angiograms under varied projection views, injection rates, and flow conditions. Regions of interest at the aneurysm dome and inlet were placed to extract Time Density Curves for the lesion and the arterial input function, respectively. Using three standard SVD methodologies, we extracted the aneurysm Impulse Response function (IRF) and its associated parameters Peak Height (PHIRF), Area Under the Curve (AUCIRF), and Mean Transit Time (MTT). Our methodology employing PLC and SVD-based deconvolution ensures reliable quantitative angiographic measurements across varying conditions, supporting consistent assessments of disease severity and treatment efficacy. Intraoperative 2D quantitative angiography (QA) for intracranial aneurysms (IAs) has accuracy challenges due to the variability of hand injections. Despite the success of singular value decomposition (SVD) algorithms in reducing biases in computed tomography perfusion (CTP), their application in 2D QA has not been extensively explored. This study seeks to bridge this gap by investigating the potential of SVD-based deconvolution methods in 2D QA, particularly in addressing the variability of injection durations. The study included three internal carotid aneurysm (ICA) cases. Virtual angiograms were generated using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for three physiologically relevant inlet velocities to simulate contrast media injection durations. Time-density curves (TDCs) were produced for both the inlet and aneurysm dome. Various SVD variants, including standard SVD (sSVD) with and without classical Tikhonov regularization, block-circulant SVD (bSVD), and oscillation index SVD (oSVD), were applied to virtual angiograms. The method was applied on virtual angiograms to recover the aneurysmal dome impulse response function (IRF) and extract flow related parameters such as Peak Height PHIRF, Area Under the Curve AUCIRF, and Mean transit time MTT. Furthermore, we found that SVD can effectively reduce QA parameter variability across various injection durations, enhancing the potential of QA analysis parameters in neurovascular disease diagnosis and treatment. Implementing SVD-based deconvolution techniques in QA analysis can enhance the precision and reliability of neurovascular diagnostics by effectively reducing the impact of injection duration on hemodynamic parameters.

Deep neural networks have demonstrated exceptional efficacy in stroke lesion segmentation. However, the delineation of small lesions, critical for stroke diagnosis, remains a challenge. In this study, we propose two straightforward yet powerful approaches that can be seamlessly integrated into a variety of networks: Multi-Size Labeling (MSL) and Distance-Based Labeling (DBL), with the aim of enhancing the segmentation accuracy of small lesions. MSL divides lesion masks into various categories based on lesion volume while DBL emphasizes the lesion boundaries. Experimental evaluations on the Anatomical Tracings of Lesions After Stroke (ATLAS) v2.0 dataset showcase that an ensemble of MSL and DBL achieves consistently better or equal performance on recall (3.6% and 3.7%), F1 (2.4% and 1.5%), and Dice scores (1.3% and 0.0%) compared to the top-1 winner of the 2022 MICCAI ATLAS Challenge on both the subset only containing small lesions and the entire dataset, respectively. Notably, on the mini-lesion subset, a single MSL model surpasses the previous best ensemble strategy, with enhancements of 1.0% and 0.3% on F1 and Dice scores, respectively. Dynamical friction works very differently for Newtonian gravity with dark matter and in modified Newtonian dynamics (MOND). While the absence of dark matter considerably reduces the friction in major galaxy mergers, analytic calculations indicate the opposite for very small perturbations, such as globular clusters (GCs) sinking in dwarf galaxies. Here, we study the decay of GCs in isolated gas-rich dwarf galaxies using simulations with the Phantom of Ramses code, which enables both the Newtonian and the QUMOND MOND gravity. We modeled the GCs as point masses, and we simulated the full hydrodynamics, with star formation and supernovae feedback. We explored whether the fluctuations in gravitational potential caused by the supernovae can prevent GCs from sinking toward the nucleus. For GCs of typical mass or lighter, we find that this indeed works in both Newtonian and MOND simulations. The GC can even make a random walk. However, we find that supernovae cannot prevent massive GCs ($M\geq 4\times10^5\,M_\odot$) from sinking in MOND. The resulting object looks similar to a galaxy with an offset core, which embeds the sunk GC. The problem is much milder in the Newtonian simulations. This result thus favors Newtonian over QUMOND gravity, but we note that it relies on the correctness of the difficult modeling of baryonic feedback. We propose that the fluctuations in the gravitational potential could be responsible for the thickness of the stellar disks of dwarf galaxies and that strong supernova winds in modified gravity can transform dwarf galaxies into ultra-diffuse galaxies., Comment: 19 pages, 14 figures, 8 tables. Ultra-diffuse galaxies (UDGs) in the Coma cluster have velocity dispersion profiles that are in full agreement with the predictions of Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND) in isolation. However, the external field effect (EFE) from the cluster seriously deteriorates this agreement. It has been suggested that this could be related to the fact that UDGs are out-of-equilibrium objects whose stars have been heated by the cluster tides or that they recently fell onto the cluster on radial orbits, such that their velocity dispersion may not reflect the EFE at their instantaneous distance from the cluster center. Here, we simulate UDGs within the Coma cluster in MOND, using the Phantom of Ramses (\textsc{por}) code, and show that if UDGs are initially at equilibrium within the cluster, tides are not sufficient to increase their velocity dispersions to values as high as the observed ones. On the other hand, if they are on a first radial infall onto the cluster, they can keep high velocity dispersions without being destroyed until their first pericentric passage. We conclude that, without alterations such as a screening of the EFE in galaxy clusters or much higher baryonic masses than currently estimated, in the MOND context UDGs must be out-of-equilibrium objects on their first infall onto the cluster., Comment: 10 Pages, 9 Figures, accepted by A&A

In task-oriented conversational AI evaluation, unsupervised methods poorly correlate with human judgments, and supervised approaches lack generalization. Recent advances in large language models (LLMs) show robust zeroshot and few-shot capabilities across NLP tasks. This paper explores using LLMs for automated dialogue quality evaluation, experimenting with various configurations on public and proprietary datasets. Manipulating factors such as model size, in-context examples, and selection techniques, we examine "chain-of-thought" (CoT) reasoning and label extraction procedures. Our results show that (1) larger models yield more accurate dialogue labels; (2) algorithmic selection of in-context examples outperforms random selection; (3) CoT reasoning where an LLM is asked to provide justifications before outputting final labels improves performance; and (4) fine-tuned LLMs outperform out-of-the-box ones. Our results indicate that LLMs that are suitably fine-tuned and have sufficient reasoning capabilities can be leveraged for automated dialogue evaluation.

A numerical parameter, known as a topological index, is employed to represent the molecular structure of a compound by considering its graph-theoretical properties. In the study of quantitative structure-activity relationships (QSAR) and quantitative structure-property relationships (QSPR), topological indices are used to predict the physicochemical properties of chemical compounds. Graph entropies have evolved as information-theoretic tools to investigate the structural information of a molecular graph. In this research work, we compute the Nirmala index, the first and second inverse Nirmala index for terpyridine complex nanosheet $TCN_{n,m}$ with the help of its M-polynomial. A numerical parameter, known as a topological index, is employed to represent the molecular structure of a compound by considering its graph-theoretical properties. In the study of quantitative structure-activity relationships (QSAR) and quantitative structure-property relationships (QSPR), topological indices are used to predict the physicochemical properties of chemical compounds. Graph entropies have evolved as information-theoretic tools to investigate the structural information of a molecular graph. In this study, we compute the Nirmala index, the first and second inverse Nirmala index of the complex structure of ruthenium bipyridine, with the help of its M-polynomial. Furthermore, entropy measures for the complex structure of ruthenium bipyridine are computed using Shannon's entropy model. The comparison between the Nirmala indices and their associated entropy measures is presented through numerical computation. The correlation between the Nirmala indices and associated entropy measurements is then examined using a regression model. Hybrid quantum devices enable novel functionalities by combining the benefits of different subsystems. Particularly, point defects in nanomechanical resonators made of diamond or silicon carbide (SiC) have been proposed for precise magnetic field sensing and as versatile quantum transducers. However, the realization of a hybrid system may involve tradeoffs in the performance of the constituent subsystems. In a spin-mechanical system, the mechanical properties of the resonator may suffer from the presence of engineered defects in the crystal lattice. This may severely restrict the performance of the resulting device and needs to be carefully explored. Here, we focus on the impact of defects on high Q nanomechanical string resonators made of pre-stressed 3C-SiC grown on Si(111). We use helium ion implantation to create point defects and study their accumulated effect on the mechanical performance. Using Euler-Bernoulli beam theory, we present a method to determine Young's modulus and the pre-stress of the strings. We find that Young's modulus is not modified by implantation. Under implantation doses relevant for single defect or defect ensemble generation, both tensile stress and damping rate also remain unaltered. For higher implantation dose, both exhibit a characteristic change.

Inverse rendering aims to reconstruct the scene properties of objects solely from multiview images. However, it is an ill-posed problem prone to producing ambiguous estimations deviating from physically accurate representations. In this paper, we utilize Neural Microfacet Fields (NMF), a state-of-the-art neural inverse rendering method to illustrate the inherent ambiguity. We propose an evaluation framework to assess the degree of compensation or interaction between the estimated scene properties, aiming to explore the mechanisms behind this ill-posed problem and potential mitigation strategies. Specifically, we introduce artificial perturbations to one scene property and examine how adjusting another property can compensate for these perturbations. To facilitate such experiments, we introduce a disentangled NMF where material properties are independent. The experimental findings underscore the intrinsic ambiguity present in neural inverse rendering and highlight the importance of providing additional guidance through geometry, material, and illumination priors.

Establishing quantitative correlations between various molecular properties and chemical structures is of great technological importance for environmental and medical aspects. These approaches are referred to as Quantitative Structure-Property Relationships (QSPR), which relate the physicochemical or thermodynamic properties of compounds to their structures. The main goal of QSPR studies is to find a mathematical relationship between the property of interest and several molecular descriptors derived from the structure of the molecule. Topological indices are the molecular descriptors that characterize the formation of chemical compounds and predict certain physicochemical properties. In this study, the QSPR models are designed using certain temperature-based topological indices such as the sum connectivity temperature index, product connectivity temperature index, F-temperature index, and symmetric division temperature index to predict the thermodynamic properties, such as enthalpies of formation ($\Delta H^{0}_{f}$ \hspace{1mm} liquid), enthalpies of combustion ($\Delta H^{0}_{C}$ \hspace{1mm} liquid), and enthalpies of vaporization ($\Delta H^{0}_{vap}$ \hspace{1mm} gas) of monocarboxylic acids ($C_2H_{4}O_{2}$ - $C_{20}H_{40}O_{2}$). The relationship analysis between thermodynamic properties and topological indices is done using linear, quadratic, and cubic equations of a curvilinear regression model. These regression models are then compared.

A topological index of a graph $G$ is a numerical quantity that describes its topology. Reverse degree-based topological indices play an important role in finding topological descriptors. Azacitidine, Decitabine, and Guadecitabine are hypomethylating agents which are used for the treatment of patients with higher-risk myelodysplastic syndromes, acute myeloid leukemia, and chronic myelomonocytic leukemia which are not suitable for in-depth treatments such as induction chemotherapy. In this article, some reverse degree-based topological indices of the three said drugs are computed. Furthermore, QSPR analysis of the said topological indices is discussed and it is shown that these topological indices are highly correlated with the physical properties of the three cancer drugs. These findings may help chemists and people working in the pharmaceutical industry to predict the properties of cancer drugs without experimenting.

The profound impact of food on health necessitates advanced nutrition-oriented food recommendation services. Conventional methods often lack the crucial elements of personalization, explainability, and interactivity. While Large Language Models (LLMs) bring interpretability and explainability, their standalone use falls short of achieving true personalization. In this paper, we introduce ChatDiet, a novel LLM-powered framework designed specifically for personalized nutrition-oriented food recommendation chatbots. ChatDiet integrates personal and population models, complemented by an orchestrator, to seamlessly retrieve and process pertinent information. The personal model leverages causal discovery and inference techniques to assess personalized nutritional effects for a specific user, whereas the population model provides generalized information on food nutritional content. The orchestrator retrieves, synergizes and delivers the output of both models to the LLM, providing tailored food recommendations designed to support targeted health outcomes. The result is a dynamic delivery of personalized and explainable food recommendations, tailored to individual user preferences. Our evaluation of ChatDiet includes a compelling case study, where we establish a causal personal model to estimate individual nutrition effects. The project's aim is to create an AI agent capable of selecting good actions in a game-playing domain called Battlespace. Sequential domains like Battlespace are important testbeds for planning problems, as such, the Department of Defense uses such domains for wargaming exercises. The agents we developed combine Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS) and Deep Q-Network (DQN) techniques in an effort to navigate the game environment, avoid obstacles, interact with adversaries, and capture the flag. Effective diabetes management is crucial for maintaining health in diabetic patients. Large Language Models (LLMs) have opened new avenues for diabetes management, facilitating their efficacy. However, current LLM-based approaches are limited by their dependence on general sources and lack of integration with domain-specific knowledge, leading to inaccurate responses. In this paper, we propose a knowledge-infused LLM-powered conversational health agent (CHA) for diabetic patients. We customize and leverage the open-source openCHA framework, enhancing our CHA with external knowledge and analytical capabilities. This integration involves two key components: 1) incorporating the American Diabetes Association dietary guidelines and the Nutritionix information and 2) deploying analytical tools that enable nutritional intake calculation and comparison with the guidelines. We compare the proposed CHA with GPT4. Our evaluation includes 100 diabetes-related questions on daily meal choices and assessing the potential risks associated with the suggested diet. Remote labs are a groundbreaking development in the education industry, providing students with access to laboratory education anytime, anywhere. However, most remote labs are costly and difficult to scale, especially in developing countries. With this as a motivation, this paper proposes a new remote labs (RLabs) solution that includes two use case experiments: Vanishing Rod and Focal Length. The hardware experiments are built at a low-cost by retrofitting Internet of Things (IoT) components. They are also made portable by designing miniaturised and modular setups. The software architecture designed as part of the solution seamlessly supports the scalability of the experiments, offering compatibility with a wide range of hardware devices and IoT platforms. Additionally, it can live-stream remote experiments without needing dedicated server space for the stream. The software architecture also includes an automation suite that periodically checks the status of the experiments using computer vision (CV). RLabs is qualitatively evaluated against seven non-functional attributes - affordability, portability, scalability, compatibility, maintainability, usability, and universality.
