The current study tested the link between gender perception, career optimism, and career adaptability, and the mediating role of personal growth initiative in this relationship. Multi-stage sampling was used to determine the sample. A total of 2255 undergraduate students (1238 females and 1017 males) from a large state-funded university in Turkey participated in this study. Data were collected via Career Futures Inventory, Gender Perception Scale, Personal Growth Initiative Scale-II, and Personal Information Form. Structural equation modeling was used to test the proposed hypothesized model. Path analyses revealed the association of egalitarian gender perception with career optimism and career adaptability, mediated by personal growth initiative. As a result, students with high egalitarian gender perception scores are likely to have a higher degree of personal growth initiative that will result in enhanced career adaptability and optimism.

How do Turkish female soldiers' (TFS) relate to and manage their (in)visibility within the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF)? Guided by a social-constructionist approach and driven by a gendered perspective, we display the embeddedness of gender role expectations and TFS struggle for visibility within TAF and the wider social context. We explore TFS accounts displaying cultural and organizational practices inhibiting their visibility along with how they manage it. Our findings provide insight into the dynamics of social and organizational practices that impact women's visibility and advance the understanding of how marginalized members in similar settings may relate, manage and navigate their careers in their daily organizational life elsewhere. Innovation is an important concept for human being that is one of the unavoidable requirements that statuses can transfer to knowledge economy; hence, it affects all nations. The everlasting change also has an effect on the way innovation is performed. In addition, innovation research has some common and basic properties; however, inevitable changes in innovation activities have changed innovation based researches. This reality has made it imperative to undertake research about the change in innovation research. Innovation research encompasses all disciplines and industries. This paper studies the innovation trend in business discipline. To this end, the relevant literature in business discipline published in Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) journals from 2009 to 2014 has been reviewed through bibliometric analysis. It has been found that innovation research in business discipline began with the issues related to economy. In addition, much of the research is related to the management function of business. The other noteworthy finding is that innovation is not limited to the boundary of a firm. Instead, firms are innovating with partners. Hence, it becomes a necessity to learn and manage knowledge. When examining the literature of cross-cultural field holistically, it can be seen that the dominant paradigm in the literature is based on values. However, in recent decades there have been growing criticisms against values in explaining cultural differences adequately and thus a new cultural dimension, the so called 'tightness-looseness' has, once again, come to the forefront. The beginning point of this research is based on the assumption that cultural tightness-looseness, defined as strength, importance, pervasive and binding of norms within a certain community, which was previously examined on a societal level, might also have significant implications within organizations. In this regard, the ultimate objective of the research is to examine the validity and reliability of the construct in Turkish and Italian marble industries using a comparative approach, while considering the cultural dimension of tightness-looseness at an organizational level and aiming to explore its relationship with organizational innovativeness empirically.
