Information technology highly contributes to the citizen's behavior in financial transactions. Bank clients intended to use a mobile banking service as a solution to conduct bank transactions during COVID-19 in Indonesia. Therefore, this article aims to describe a new idea for predicting the intention to use mobile banking with trust as an extension of the technology acceptance model. This study used a survey questionnaire administered to individuals who are non-user of mobile banking services and found 142 valid responses. SmartPLS for structural equation modeling was used to test the relationship's importance levels between each construct. The proposed model contributes 53.4% to improving mobile banking adoption among bank clients. This study's findings proved that perceived ease of use and usefulness are the critical factors influencing the intention to use mobile banking. However, trust does not show its moderation effect. The implications of this study show that perceived ease of use plays a vital role in growing the intention of bank clients to use mobile banking. The study suggests that financial institutions are expected to provide detailed instructions for operating mobile banking. The menu provided in mobile banking services is also beneficial for bank clients. This study contributes to the factors that play an important role in supporting mobile banking service adoption among Indonesian bank clients.

Open science is data-based endeavor. It requires scientific collection and analysis to arrive at findings, that explains a phenomenon. Data are either primary or secondary. In a post pandemic world, restrictions are posing challenges to the collection of primary data for scientific analysis purpose. This is due to limited financial and/or time resources and/or some form of social distancing. A sustaining alternative for open science program is secondary data. These are data collected by a credible source like government and reputable organizations (Chinelo Igwenagu, 2016; Morgan & J.Harmon, n.d.). How accessible are open data for open science in the MENA region? The difficulty and/or unavailability of data poses a challenge to open science practices in the MENA region. This paper intends to investigates open data for open science and economic development in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a leading country in the MENA region. The aim is to identify the region’s open data and open science gaps based on the Open Data Barometer (ODB) framework and proffer insight for optimization, using the national data governance approach of Open data as per the Open Data Charter (ODC) principles of 2015. This study reviews a 63 randomly selected list of government entities & ministries open data practices in the UAE. Potential findings will help assess open data and open science strategy in the region. This is significant because it will draw the attention of MENA government and stakeholders to the gaps and opportunities in the revival of a post pandemic economy. It could also serve as a model for other MENA nations in their pursuance of all-round development.

From the annual reports of bench marked companies from 2016 to 2018, also from the case studies available approximate 100 disaster cases were analyzed in knowing the possible hazard during drilling. The outcome indicates the change in control measures that is suggested in-order to have safe and healthy work environment at work place which in turn helps in preparing the risk register. In oil industry Risk Assessment needs to be performed on steady and systematic or regular basis. The goal of risk assessment is to identify the hazards, to determine the rating of various risks with controls, to revise the risk controls implementation from the previous sessions of risk assessment. Risk assessment process provides a method for assessing the likelihood of health, safety and environmental impacts. This paper highlights in order to know the details of hazard identification, its assessment and with controls includes: hazard Identification- finding potential hazards, defining the risks and rating which is linked to the hazard based on severity, frequency and probability. Hazard Control -controlling of hazards and associated risks with the hazard. Control Measures- providing information on training, supervision on the hazard, education, analyzing the risks, controls measure for the employees affected by the hazards with evaluation of hazard. Furthermore, an example is shown how to do or calculate the quantitative risk assessment for the various hazards that comes across various operations in hydrocarbon industry.

PurposeThis paper aims to identify career development theories that explain the intention to choose college majors in arts and design, to integrate the identified theories and to examine the relationships between determinants of the integrated model. In addition, this study attempts to identify the characteristics of the prospective arts and design students.Design/methodology/approachThe literature review resulted in a multitheoretical framework named as PERISCOPE (Personality of Holland's RIASEC in Social Cognitive and Planned Behavior Theories) to reflect the theories it consisted of. This study collected data from Year 12 students in Surabaya (n = 163) and used PLS-SEM technique to assess the measurement model and the structural model of such framework.FindingsThe results revealed that the integrated model explains 57.8 percent of the variance of the intention to pursue arts and design majors. This paper hence improves the predictive ability of an earlier model by adding a further theory. In addition, this study identified characteristics of the prospective students and concluded that students with artistic personality will have better self-efficacy, which sequentially have perception that pursuing arts and design majors will not be challenging, thus increases their intention to pursue such majors.Originality/valueThis study demonstrated that PERISCOPE framework is better in terms of predictive power in understanding the college major choice in arts and design. As a result, this study adds to the current body of knowledge in the field of college major choice, which was found to be lacking.

In today's era of information, data has been growing at an exponential rate to become big data, and it needs platforms to allow users to govern, access, deliver, analyze, and use these huge databases. Academics in higher education need to utilize these platforms in teaching to enrich and empower the educational experience of their students of these institutions. The purpose of the current study is to investigate the impact of organizational characteristics on the acceptance of big data platforms for academic teaching among higher education institutes in Malaysia. 143 respondents participated to examine the effect of organizational characteristics (Management Drive, Bandwagon Pressure, and Training) on the acceptance of big data platforms for academic teaching. Besides, examining the moderating role of task technology fit. The results illustrate that management drive, bandwagon pressure has a significant impact on the acceptance, with an insignificant impact of training on the acceptance. However, task technology fit has not moderated any of the proposed relationships. This study would give insight for the higher education institutes managements to improve their academics acceptance of the big data platforms in teaching and therefore drive them to use the aforementioned platforms.

The development of wireless infrastructure has prompted the amalgamation of wireless technology and mobile devices and has innovated financial services such as international mobile banking. This study aims to evaluate the moderating influence of perceived risk based on the technology acceptance model (TAM) in the mobile banking industry. The proposed model was assessed using data provided by 482 Yemini nationals through surveys. These individuals do not use mobile banking. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was performed by employing Smart PLS 3.0 to determine impact of connections and relationships among the assessed factors. The projected conceptual model exerted a variance of 77% for mobile service in the banking services industry. Perceived ease of use (PEOU), perceived usefulness (PU), and behavioural intention were employed to examine the influence of perceived risk (PR) as a moderator. It was determined that PR was responsible for moderation only on the association between PU and the intent to utilise mobile banking. Furthermore, this study established that PEOU applied a significantly positive effect on PU. Moreover, PEOU and PU exert a positive effect on behavioural intention in mobile banking use in Yemen. The conclusions of this study may potentially offer additional insight into the mobile banking strategy.

Unless higher education institutions react to technological changes and the unprecedented interruption that resulted from the COIVD-19 pandemic, it will face great difficulty to remain relevant. Among the new technological applications that enrich teaching activities is the utilization of big data platforms in teaching. This study investigates the factors that would influence the acceptance of such platforms by academicians in higher education institutions in Malaysia. 143 respondents participated to examine the effect of interactivity on system quality, knowledge quality, service quality, and perceived enjoyment which in turn influence acceptance of big data platforms for academic teaching. Besides, examining the moderating role of personal innovativeness. The result shows that system quality has an insignificant effect on the acceptance with all remaining direct relationships significant. Further, interactivity significantly influences all but system quality. Lastly, personal innovativeness moderated only the relationship between perceived enjoyment and acceptance of big data platforms.

While the advancements in technology have led the providers of financial services to seek new mediums to offer banking services, the perception of their clients regarding their usefulness varies, especially with respect to mobile banking. Despite various factors have been identified to gain a strong comprehension of the mobile banking services usage, limited focus has been given to the what contributes to the value of engage in mobile banking services. This study aims to identify that significant success elements that influence the perceived significance of mobile banking use in Yemen by employing revised TAM. The mediating influence of perceived value and the intent to use mobile banking services are also explored in this study. This model was evaluated through survey data gathered from 482 validated responses from persons who did not use mobile banking. SEM via PLS version 3.0 software was used to identify the significance of the relationships among the investigated parameters. The developed model in this study explained 58% of variation in mobile banking’s perceived value and 51% of the intention to utilise it as indicated by the model fitness with the data. Results from the multivariate analysis revealed that awareness (AW), perceived usefulness (PU), and perceived ease of use (PEOU) are significant predictors of perceived value, whereas perceived risk (PR) was identified to minimise customers’ perception of the value. Moreover, perceived value determined the correlations among these parameters of PU, PEOU, AW, and PR as well as the intention. The outcomes of this research give understanding of the mobile banking strategies.

In the past few years, the increasing use of the internet in many countries has changed the manner in the people socialise, learn, govern or do their business. However, there are countries such as Yemen which has a very low internet usage rate and sees little economic, social and cultural progress as a result. A significant volume of theoretical studies have already undertaken, seeking to understand ambiguities in technology usage, with a number of models being proposed. In this study, the researcher has focused on extending the UTAUT using an antecedent variable for the actual internet use (i.e., task-technology fit) and 4 outcome variables (i.e., decision quality, communication quality, knowledge acquisition, and user satisfaction). Survey questionnaires were distributed among the employees working in the various Yemeni governmental institutions and ministries, and primary data was collected from 520 different internet users. The data analysis was carried out using 2-stage procedures, wherein a measurement model was initially used, followed by a structural model for the assessment of the data, with the help of the SmartPLS 3.0. The multivariate data analysis yielded 2 results: 1) The different antecedent variables (like effort expectancy, performance expectancy, social influence, and the task-technology fit) positively affected the internet usage, and 2) The outcome variables (decision quality, communication quality, knowledge acquisition, and user satisfaction) were positively affected by internet usage. The proposed model could explain 29% of variance noted in the actual internet use. Finally, the researchers investigated the different practical and theoretical implications of the study.

The practice of online learning can appreciably enhance administrative, communicative, and educational qualities, support learning using scarce resources and limited infrastructure, and encourage educational equity through flexible place and time usage. Although researchers have examined online learning usage within multiple situations, the roles of task-technology-fit (TTF) and compatibility as mediating variables have not been investigated through Delone and Mclean's model of IS success. Survey data gathered from 448 students across nine public universities within Yemen was collectively analysed through structural equation modelling (SEM) using SmartPLS 3.0. The findings comprised six primary outcomes, wherein overall quality (service, system, and information qualities) appreciably influences compatibility; compatibility appreciably influences user satisfaction as well as practical use; compatibility mediates associations among overall quality and either satisfaction and practical usage; actual use and the satisfaction of users appreciably influences TTF; the role of TTF presents positive influences performances; and TTF mediates associations among satisfaction and practical usage in one case and performance in another.

Purpose Online learning has evolved into a necessary means of learning because of its capability to enhance the education quality with minimum resources and infrastructure. Nevertheless, while academics have studied the espousal and use of online learning in various settings, the effect of compatibility and transformational leadership (TL) still remains to be seen, with regards to the Yemeni context. The purpose of this paper is to forward the Delone and Mclean Information System (IS) success Model by integrating compatibility and TL constructs as precursors to user contentment and actual use for estimating performance of students. Design/methodology/approach The questionnaire technique was utilised for gathering primary data from 448 students in nine state-funded Yemeni universities. The six variables in the recommended framework were gauged utilising current scales. Data analysis was done by deploying structural equation modelling through SmartPLS 3.0. Findings The outcomes encompassed three key results: overall quality (data, system and service quality), compatibility and TL have a favourable effect on user satisfaction and actual use; actual use considerably estimates user satisfaction; and user satisfaction and actual use have a favourable effect on performance of students. Research limitations/implications Because the research populace comprised students from nine state-funded universities, it did not include administrative and academic staff. Furthermore, as the study was cross-sectional, it studied the variables at a single point of time. Attaining experience in utilising online learning would transform the convictions of students, and this cannot be traced through a cross-sectional scrutiny. Moreover, the research relies upon self-testified measures for ascertaining the recommended research model. The reason behind this is that obtaining objective information regarding performance was not likely because of the privacy concern. Practical implications Despite the fact that Yemen is a low-income emerging nation with inadequate resources (World Development Indicators, 2017), it can capitalise on online-based learning that provides the advantage of excellent education and that too with limited supplies (Dokhan and Akkoyunlu, 2016; Yang et al., 2016). Additionally, online learning can enhance administration and communication, empower learning anywhere and anytime, and endorse fairness of education. Originality/value This study supplements the existing studies on information systems by blending overall quality, compatibility, TL, actual use and client satisfaction for estimating the effect of online learning among students from nine state-funded Yemeni universities. Moreover, the recommended model’s predictive prowess has a higher capability to elucidate and estimate the performance effect as against those acquired from few of the previous studies.

The government utilizes the development of ICT in providing public facilities through e-government. Therefore, all public services become integrated, thus generating profits such as cost and time efficiency. This study emphases the uneven application of e-government in various regions and identifies factors that support the optimization of such services. This study explains the model of e-government adoption by expanding the technology acceptance model with self-efficacy and system quality. If people perceive that e-government is accessible and believe that they can operate the system, they will use e-government. Besides, the quality of the e-government system is also the determinant of e-government implementation. The more quality of the system provided, the more the number of people who use the system.

M-banking has become a fast-growing banking service in the past decade. The development of m-banking is due to the advantages of conducting banking transactions. However, when individuals decide to use m-banking, they will also consider the system’s weaknesses. Therefore, this study examines TAM in increasing m-banking adoption through transaction convenience and perceived risk. This study proposes a conceptual framework by exploring the factors of ease and benefit of a system. If the individual feels the comfort and benefits of a system, the individual will feel the transactions convenient and be interested in adopting m-banking. The adoption process is supported by the guarantee of bank security against financial transactions accessed through m-banking. This study contributes to developing the technology acceptance model with transaction convenience and perceived risk to increase intention and actual usage of m-banking.

Governments attempt to use all forms of information technologies including Internet and mobile computing to be able to transform relationships with citizens. However, there is a clear gap between the indicator of the impact of technology innovation output and government’s vision in UAE (United Arab Emirates). In this regard, investigating the relationship between service quality, user satisfaction, and performance impact may help the government to mark its current progress and milestone achievement. This research proposed a model based on Delone & McLean IS success model by considering the research context. The modeling of structural equations via PLS (Partial least squares) regression was applied to evaluate the model within the context of public sector in the UAE. The data was collected from a sample of 147 employees in public organizations using a questionnaire. Results demonstrated that the quality of service has a significant effect on user satisfaction. In addition, quality of service and user satisfaction positively influences the staff performance. The outcome of this research helps to enhance the understanding of the impact of smart government applications.

Inspiration is constantly cited as one of the most important managers who have to improve employee productivity. It can play a vital role in the administrative innovation, process innovation, and product innovation. Current research utilized smart PLS as an suitable instrument of structural equations modeling (SEM) for analyzing the 389 valid survey questionnaires for assessing the proposed model that is based on the transformational leadership characteristic (inspirational motivation) to identify its effect on organizational innovation in the government sector in the United Arab Emirates. The main independent construct is inspirational motivation as. The dependent construct is represented by product innovation, process innovation, and administrative innovation. The researchers have described the relationship between the different constructs. This study could improve insight into the significance of TL and organizational innovation. The results showed that the independent variables could help in predicting innovation. Furthermore, the proposed model could explain 45.7% of the variance that was seen in the administrative innovation, 42.8% of product innovation, and 41.9% in process innovation.

E-Government is an administration framework dependent on correspondence innovation and plans to improve the nature of administration forms from government organizations to the general population through online administrations. The Republic of Indonesia is a part of the ASEAN country that needs improvement of E-Government execution because it is still low and under the country of Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The low-level of E-Government employment in the Republic of Indonesia needs to be examined by analyzing Internet usage penetration and identifying the cause of low E-Government adoption in the Republic of Indonesia. E-Government becomes an exciting issue in improving good governance, and this study will discuss the conceptual model in supporting E-Government’s appropriation in the Republic of Indonesia. PurposeWhile many researchers have investigated the adoption and usage of online learning in different settings, one area that has yet to be examined thoroughly, particularly in the context of online learning in Yemen, is the self-efficacy role. The purpose of this paper is to extend the Delone and McLean information system success model by incorporating a self-efficacy construct as an antecedent to user satisfaction and actual usage to predict student performance.Design/methodology/approachQuestionnaire survey method was used to collect primary data from 448 students in nine public universities in Yemen. The six constructs in the proposed model were measured using existing scales. The data analysed using confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modelling via AMOS.FindingsThree main results were revealed, namely that overall quality (system, information and service quality) and self-efficacy have a positive impact on user satisfaction and actual usage; that actual usage significantly predicts user satisfaction; and that both user satisfaction and actual usage have a positive impact on student performance.Research limitations/implicationsFirst as the study population were students from nine public universities, it excluded academics and administrative staff. Second, the study depends on self-reported measures to test the proposed research model. This is because getting objective data about the performance was not probable due to the issue of privacy.Practical implicationsThe findings of this study can be a guideline for Yemeni higher education institutions to develop efficient and effective plans to improve the performance of education institutions, and train and develop student ability to use online learning. Additionally, it highlights the areas that university management needs to concentrate on, namely information systems (IS) tools that will contribute to higher student enrolment, address the lack of infrastructure and improve the quality of education outcomes, things which represent Yemen’s main challenges in the higher education sector.Originality/valueThis paper adds to the existing literature of IS by combining overall quality, self-efficacy, actual usage and user satisfaction to predict performance impact of online learning among students in nine public universities in Yemen. Furthermore, the predictive power of the proposed model has a higher ability to explain and predict performance impact compared to those obtained from some of the previous studies.

Governments and higher education institutions around the world are placing online learning in their respective visions and policies as it has already transformed the way in which individuals learn, socialise and do business. Leadership is therefore increasingly playing a major role in the implementation and success of online learning goals. Although researchers have investigated adoption and usage of online learning in different settings, the mediation role of transformational leadership is yet to be examined using the Delone and Mclean IS success model. Data collected from 448 students in nine Yemeni public universities and the subsequent analysis employing structural equation modelling (SEM) via SmartPLS 3.0, revealed five main results: first, overall quality (system, information, and service quality) has a positive impact on transformational leadership; second, transformational leadership has a positive impact on actual usage; third, overall quality has an indirect positive effect on actual usage via transformational leadership; fourth, actual usage significantly affects user satisfaction and performance impact; and fifth, user satisfaction has a positive impact on student performance. The proposed model explains 61% of the variance in performance impact, and theoretical and practical implications are provided as well.

Purpose The internet technology becomes an essential tool for individuals, organizations, and nations for growth and prosperity. The purpose of this paper is to integrate the DeLone and McLean IS success model with task-technology fit (TTF) to explain the performance impact of Yemeni Government employees. Design/methodology/approach Questionnaire survey method was used to collect primary data from 530 internet users among employees within all 30 government ministries-institutions in Yemen. The four constructs in the proposed model were measured using existing scales. The data analysis starts with initial exploratory factor analysis, then confirmatory factor analysis and lastly structural equation modeling via AMOS. Findings The results showed that the proposed integrated model fits the data well. Findings of the multivariate analysis demonstrate four main results. First, actual usage has a strong positive impact on user satisfaction, TTF, and performance impact. Second, user satisfaction has a great influence on performance impact. Third, TTF has a strong positive impact on user satisfaction and performance impact. Fourth, both user satisfaction and TTF mediate the relationship between the actual usage and performance impact. Research limitations/implications The public sector in Yemen contains three parts: Yemeni prime minister, Yemeni ministries, and government agencies. This study focuses only on the Yemeni employees among Yemeni ministries; hence the results are not necessarily generalizable. Moreover, there are biases when the researcher measures the actual Internet usage variable through asking a participant about their opinion regarding their usage because these are generally found to differ from the true score of system usage. Practical implications The findings should be very useful for the Yemeni Government in presenting the importance of information technology effects on individual efficiency and effectiveness. Therefore, the information from these findings should encourage and support the formation of future policy at the organizational level and national level. If the government utilizes these findings by setting up strategies to promote internet usage, this may, in turn, improve professional practice, personal development, and quality of working life. Originality/value This paper adds to the existing literature of information systems by combining actual technology usage, user satisfaction, and TTF to predict performance impact within the organizations. Furthermore, this study proposed a second-order model of performance impact in order to increase the power of explaining the output by the model, which contains four first-order constructs: process, knowledge acquisition, communication quality, and decision quality. The predictive power of the proposed model has a higher ability to explain and predict performance impact compared to those obtained from some of the previous studies.

The actual usage of smart government can play vital role in the success of utilizing technologies in contemporary organizations. This comes based on system quality, information quality, and service quality. This study uses the Structural Equations Modelling (SEM) via SmartPLS 3.0 to analyze the 355 valid questionnaires in order to assess the proposed model that is based on Delone & Mclean information system success model to identify factors affecting smart government usage among employees in Abu Dhabi Investment Authority in the United Arab Emirates. The main independent constructs in the model cover system quality, information quality, and service quality. The dependent construct is related to actual usage of smart government services. The study will describe the relationships between different related factors. This research has improved our insight on the importance of technology characteristics of smart government applications. Results indicated that all independent variables significantly influenced actual usage. The proposed model explained 36.1% of the variance in actual usage

One of the important research topics and areas that is attracting significant interest and attention globally is ‘big data’. While big data contribute towards the quality of decision-making, it also assists in the development of and extending the knowledge in this area by harnessing available technology. This research presents and discusses the literature related to the quality of big data and its impact on the quality of decision-making. A descriptive methodology approach was also adopted by reviewing the literature of published and unpublished scientific research along with a survey in the form of a questionnaire involving participants from Abu Dhabi Police Agencies to collect their views and opinions in this area. The results from the literature review and survey led to proposing a theoretical, conceptual model according to the quantitative and numerical methodology. The findings of this research have revealed that the quality of big data predicts the quality of decision-making and that the quality of big data in Abu Dhabi Governmental Organisations (ADGO) plays a significant role in the quality of decision-making.

Big Data is an important player in offering a highly competitive advantage, specialty, in contemporary organisations. The theory of technology readiness can be used for measuring the readiness of an organisation to adapt big data. Structural equation modelling is used in this study through AMOS to analyse 381 valid questionnaires to evaluate the proposed model built on the Theory of Technology Readiness to determine the factors that could affect big data adoption. This research concentrates on one of Abu Dhabi’s public organisations (ADPO). In this model, the key independent constructs are comparable to Innovativeness, Optimism, Insecurity and Discomfort pertaining to these organisations’ readiness for exploiting this massive data amounts. The dependent constructs are based on the adopted big data’s readiness in ADPO. The relations between the different constructs are defined in this research. This work has enhanced our insights regarding the online social networking model. The results showed that all four independent variables considerably helped to predict the adoption of big data with different percentages. The model that was put forward explained 50% of the variance occurring in the adoption of big data.

During the past decade, usage of online social network sites has grown dramatically rivaling search engines as the most visited Internet site. The intensive literature review reveals the existing of several studies that have been done on the field of Online Social Network (OSN), but there is a lack of research that deals with usage in the context of public sector organizations. This study aims to employ structural equation modeling via AMOS to analyze 401 valid questionnaires for assessing a model which is proposed based on Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) to identify the factors affecting the use of OSN among employees of a public sector organization in the UAE. The proposed model examines the influence of four factors; performance, effort, social influence, and facilitating conditions on the actual use of OSN. Results indicated that all these factors (as independent variables) significantly predicted the actual usage of OSN with various percentages. Our work improved the insights on the online social networking usage in the context of public sector organizations.

This study aims to see the role of banks as an effort to achieve financial inclusion. MSMEs have a very vital role in increasing economic growth in Indonesia, there are various types of MSMEs that are scattered throughout the region. The problem of MSMEs, in general is a problem of capital. To overcome this, there is one model, namely financial inclusion, which can encourage the financial system to be accessible to all levels of society. Financial inclusion is one way to socialize the financial sector, especially to facilitate banking services and financial access for the public. This study uses primary data and secondary data, in this study, researcher used MSMEs, as the population of the study. Total MSMEs in Jakarta is 930,620 Units. The results of the study show that all the variables are significant positive, in the efforts to finance MSMEs in Indonesia, which means that banks play an important role in channeling funds to MSMEs, so that inclusion runs well. This is in line with the Entrepreneurial finance theory which emphasizes that increasing business capital both from internal and external, followed by increased entrepreneurship and management capacity will be able to improve company performance, especially MSMEs.

Recently, there has been a rising concern over technology dependency, especially with the revolution of online social networking, which becomes the biggest phenomenon. It harnesses a web application to build social relations with other people who share similar personal or career interests, activities, backgrounds or real-life connections. There is a lot of research, which have been done in the field of Online Social Network Usage, but studies indicate the lack of research has been conducted for determining underlying factors that influence online social network usage among public sector employees in the UAE. This study employs structural equation modeling via AMOS to analyze 401 valid questionnaires for the assessment of the proposed model that is based on Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology to identify the factors that affect the use of online social networks (OSN). The current research focused in one of Abu Dhabi’s public organizations, the Tourism Development and Investment Company. The main independent constructs in the model are related to performance, effort, social influence, and facilitating conditions about the use of OSN. The dependent constructs cover actual utilization of OSN. This paper describes the relations among the various constructs. Our work improved our insights on the online social networking model. Results indicated all four independent variables significantly predicted the actual usage of OSN with various percentages. The proposed model explained 50% of the variance in actual usage.

Internet technology has become an essential technological tool for individuals, organisations, and nations driving growth and prosperity. However, there are countries such as Yemen which have very low internet usage rates and which see little economic, social and cultural progress as a result. Therefore, this study has developed an integrated conceptual model based the DeLone and McLean information systems success model (DMISM), the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) and task-technology fit (TTF) to predict the user satisfaction of internet. A survey questionnaire was used to collect primary data from 530 employees in all 30 government ministry institutions in Yemen. An analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between the variables of the proposed model, which includes initial exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modelling (SEM) via AMOS. The results indicated that system quality, information quality, task quality, and social quality are the four key determinants of employee satisfaction related to internet usage. The theoretical and practical implications are also discussed in this study.
