Abstract

Study of the stratigraphic distribution of the main benthic foraminifera on the islands of Cres and Lošinj (northern Adriatic) has allowed the identification of different orbitolinid zones, from the Lower Aptian (Palorbitolina lenticularis Taxon.range Zone) to the Middle Cenomanian (Orbitolina (Conicorbitolina) conica Abundance Zone).
