AbstractOne area of active research is the design and characterization of metal complexes synthesized with organic ligands for optoelectronic applications. Due to interaction between metal and organic ligands, metal complexes show distinct optical and electrical properties. The metal–ligand interactions exhibited by the complexes have the capability to modify the structure as well as properties of the complex. Metal complexes present in low-lying excited state are widely used as photosensitizers. Coordination complexes are utilized to create a wide range of inexpensive electronic and optoelectronic devices that generate, detect, and control light. The communication between optics and electronics is known as optoelectronics and involves the research, development, and fabrication of a hardware device that translates electrical energy into light and
vice versa . Optoelectronic device is generally an electronic light using device. They are present in optical to electrical or electrical to optical transducers or instruments that utilize it during working. Numerous optoelectronic applications include telecommunications, military, automatic access control systems, and medical devices. This includes optoelectromagnetic actuator, different types of light-emitting diodes, gold as well as fluorescent nanomaterials, optical glasses, fibers, solar cell, laser,etc .
